Quirk Accident Baby's or Q.A.B. (Because it's a fun and convenient way to combine quirks without subjecting anyone to the lose of bodily autonomy, cause i REFUSE to Suprise Pregnant anybody. Male, Female, or Otherwise.) (And to FURTHER clarify, Q.A.B. are the always the result of some combination of quirks that? SOMEHOW bend reality to create a fully formed baby or toddler, "born" or created FROM the DNA of two or more individuals. Thus making those individuals the "parents".) that combined Precent Mic n Eraserhead? Could potentially make a SOUND Nullifying quirk?

Like, the genetic code for Erasure just full on turns Mic's Voice Quirk from a plus to a negative? Remove instead of amplify?

It would be pretty dangerous. People go insane in perfect silence. Experience hallucinations.

But? Might render them? "Mute"? They WOULDN'T be. But if no one can hear or understand you, is there a difference? Because if you talk in Negative Sound? The shaped ABSENCE of noise? it would ALMOST sound like talking? Whispery. Almost there.

But... silent. The audio equivalent of light refracting around an invisible object. Prob DEEPLY unnerving. Because the brain would INSIST you SHOULD be hearing something. You can hear the EDGES of the words. Where the shape of her words, her "sound", STOPS. But you can't hear the "sound" itself.

It's like auditory antimatter.

Unlike anechoic chambers? At close range? You might not even be able to hear the internal function of your OWN BODY. A perfect 0 decimals. Absolute silence.

And the sound comes rushing back in like a tsunami. Crashing down to carry everything away. Oh god. Oh god it's SO LOUD. SO LOUD MAKE IT STOP MAKE IT STO-!!!

I'ma? Call this one Silence. She, like all Aizawa Q.A.B.? Has got that "adorable nightmare demon" vibe going on. Got Daddy's smile~ toothy and unhinged. But Mic's eyes. Like all combos between them, looks like she just crawled out of a TV hissing "7 daaaaaysssssss".

It's the hair and unhinged demeanor.

The fact they let Nedzu babysit.

Not HER fault she got the Aizawa "lol brushes? Brushes do NOTHING" hair. That entire side of the family look like Nightmare Demons as children. Then they grow up Competent AF and HOT. (You should see her dads baby pictures, he looks like a horror movie gremlin)

the last line sounds a little better when i don't have to censor the name lol but this is a very emotional poem and mostly just me pouring my emotions so sorry if it's a little incohesive or inconsistent! criticism is always appreciated ^_^

2. Anything you'd like to write but feel you're unable to?

This also counts for the anon that asked! I've talked a little about it before, but I love mediafics! I think it's a combo of 'something that wasn't allowed on FFN back in the day,' and the fact that when they're done well, they are so cool. Winx Club's universe would have no shortage of inspiration for a fic like that, but the work needed for it - and the coding I'd need to learn - is keeping me from delving too far into it yet.

Also you didn't ask, but here are 2 of my favorite media fics: United States v Barnes (a Stucky MCU fic that started my love for these) and Q.A.B. (I don't even watch My Hero).

28. Any writing advice that works for you and you feel like sharing?

I would recommend using something like a flowchart maker for fic planning! For stories like AYEC, I knew there were specific scenes I wanted to include, but I didn't know what the order was going to be. So I literally ripped strips of paper and arranged them until I liked the way the story flowed. There are programs that do the same thing as well, but a flowchart maker is free and doesn't require actual paper.

32. Do you have a word/expression you always use in your writing?

I'm sure I must, but it's probably done subconsciously. I know I always try to have Bloom specifically use Earth slang that probably never made it over to the Magic Dimension. In Roll Here in our Ashes specifically, a running gag is Bloom making Earth references no one else gets (carrier pigeons, michelin star restaurants, X-Files).

A year ago today, I moved to Atlanta from Tampa. I wanted to be closer to my people, and I wanted to get more enmeshed in the local LARP scene.

Last Friday, while on the way to a game I'd never played before, I was in a car accident.

I'm very lucky to be alive, and even more lucky that a broken leg—while painful—is the extent of my serious injuries.

I expected a lot of pain and difficulty. I expected a lot of difficult and confusing conversations, relating to everything that such an accident entails.

What I didn't expect was my friends.

What I didn't expect was a mountain of people, coming out of the woodwork to help me, to stay with me around the clock. Caryn, Charles, Will (I had Caryn pick numbers between 1 and 3 to order them, looking at me concerned as I grinned like a maniac) have gone above and beyond to make sure I got the best care possible and have been coordinating everything like mad. More folks came to see me, although a bunch of people wanted to—we didn't want to see how far we could push the "two person" visitor limit, haha. I feel so fucking loved.

It's no secret my upbringing wasn't great. My mother was emotionally (and at times, physically) abusive. When she kicked me out at 18, she expected me to come crawling back. I never did. When I didn't, and when I prioritized the good people in my life, she repeatedly told me my friends didn't care about me.

She was wrong. Not just to say such a thing, but also about the truth. Here's what the truth is: I have so many incredible friends. And with their help—because of their help—I'm going to make it through this.

I will heal. And I will fight alongside you once more. That is a promise.

Continuing to fight was once a promise for Zac, and a promise for me. I wanted to live a life and have the experiences that were robbed from him. I wanted to share them with him when we met again. Last Friday, we almost did.

But now it's a promise to you all as well.

We will fight, cry and love together again.

Till we meet again, whether it's with me barfing into a bedpan or swinging sticks or laughing over the latest chapter of Q.A.B. —we will be together again.

once a month is apparently my new update schedule: - i have discovered the wonderful world of IDEs which i knew existed but i dismissed them as something only used by people who were incapable of using vim. - this will likely mean nothing to you, but multi-line editing?? is literally speeding up my coding process by like... idk. a lot. a *lot* a lot. thanks to mystyrust for introducing me 🙏 - - like, i was coding this chapter and was like "hmm ive made a lot of progress; it must be 2am" but it was only 10pm!!! - - update: okay so i see now that i made it seem like i was using vim. no, my bros. i was using GOOGLE DOCS. I HAVE USED PURELY GOOGLE DOCS TO CODE 14 CHAPTERS OF HTML HELL. JUDGE ME. FEAR ME. but mostly like, morn that colossal waste of time with me like sheesh why did i do that. (i did it for the look of horror and awe on people's faces when i said "ide? ha. no. google docs")

All four Todoroki siblings run away together after Rei burns Shouto. I love the characterization, and how the author draws on their own experience as a foreigner working in Japan, and how they did their research on missing child cases and child homelessness in Japan (it doesn't go hugely in depth but I appreciate the authors' notes discussing this, even if it's, well, incredibly tragic. There’s more light hearted cultural notes as well!)

Dragon Head, Snake Tail -- https://archiveofourown.org/works/17195510 -- 61k words, incomplete -- Another Todosib favorite that deals with canon and also an AU in which Rei got a divorce and everyone mostly grew up away from Endeavor. I love how the sibling relationships are depicted, but I also love how the author is a huge kanji nerd who fully lean's into Horikoshi's love for punny names and the long authors notes explaining how they came up with every new name in the fic. It's occasionally bittersweet but mostly a fun & humorous fic.

Twin Swap -- https://archiveofourown.org/series/1867879 -- 55k words, on hiatus with 2 complete arcs -- do you want Todosibs AND great villain characterization? (well mostly Fuyumi & Touya, but Natsuo is there for a bit too). Anyways the fic is mostly pretty lighthearted in tone, but it's also not afraid to hit hard in the characterization department, and I really love how this author wrote all of the League members. I re-read this one a lot.

No Such Thing As a Hopeless Case -- https://archiveofourown.org/works/16806328 -- 14k words, hiatus (and right on a cliffhanger too!) -- All Might accidentally kinda adopts the league of villains? Again, great LOV characterization, and I think you'll like how it explores the societal factors and personal tragedies that lead them to and keep them at the margins of society. also, some really terrible puns, which are my favorite thing

could i but teach the hundreth part -- https://archiveofourown.org/works/12558048 -- 5k words, complete -- a post-canon outsider-POV fic of Class 1-A visiting and taking care of a retried All Might. It’s just short and sweet.

Missing Everything -- https://archiveofourown.org/works/30128547 -- 52k words, in progress -- AU where Izuku doesn't learn of All Might's secret during the slime attack, but manages to befriend him through his civilian identity. Recommending this for the really interesting (to me at least) characterization of All Might and examination of his flaws and the toll of his career, and recently it's gotten into some interesting exploration of the details of the Hero System with the beach clean up.

Q.A.B. -- https://archiveofourown.org/works/27665101 -- 18k words, complete (w/ a sequel just starting out!) -- a really excellent social media fic in which Izuku stays quirkless and doesn't go to UA but does gain a following online for his quirk analysis and hero blogging. Also features great characterization of Todoroki, Kaminari, and some of the Vigilantes crew.

Yesterday Upon the Stair -- https://archiveofourown.org/works/8337607 -- 460k words, complete. You're probably aware of this fic since it's the highest hit count in the fandom, but I really think it fits your requirement and writing and character work! I know some other people who think the writing and character work are mediocre though, which I'm baffled by... but YMMV? The beginning is weaker and my absolute FAVORITE part is the Nighteye arc, which is the last 20% of the fic, but I would say it really starts to hit its stride by chapter 9~10? If you aren't enjoying it by then it's probably fair to expect it won't catch your interest later.

I can't believe no one has written any "self insert as Bakugo" fanfics... - https://archiveofourown.org/works/17662220 -- 70k words, infrequent updates -- I like this one for taking a weird as hell premise and REALLY rolling with it. It's somehow pretty similar to a lot of more positive takes on Bakugo's relationship with the Midoriyas while also being very much it's own thing. The author is NOT "far out of high school" though -- it's hilariously clear from the SI's reactions to certain quirks that the writer started this while taking lower division universtiy physics (and personally I love that). Also appreciate SI!Bakugo's war with Nedzu to get proper counseling and mental health support for class 1-a after all the shit they've been through.

It's Over, Isn't It (it's only yet begun) -- https://archiveofourown.org/series/1269638 -- 66k words, abandoned series with several complete stories -- AU where All Might dies rescuing Tenko from AfO but other than that it's a heartwarming fix-it! Same author as YUTS, very positive portrayal of Nighteye, excellent character writing for many other characters.

Subject: A Comprehensive Report -- https://archiveofourown.org/works/16037609 -- 83k words, infrequent updates -- another very popular fandom staple, but hey it's really good! A social media fic with quirkless Izuku interning with Nighteye as an analyst. Has some very interesting exploration of the legalities of Hero Society and how the status quo developed.

For Fools and Utopias -- https://archiveofourown.org/works/22547254 -- 89k words, updates regularly -- okay grace is the one who rec’d this fic to ME but to anyone stumbling across this reclist on tumblr, THIS FIC IS A MUST READ. Absolutely the BEST, more thought out and gutting portrayal of the flaws of the hero system, and how the different characters struggle with it. This fic GOT to me, hard, I’m still thinking about it a lot. Takes place roughly a decade post-canon, in an AU where Izuku never met All Might or went to UA, and nothing got fixed (yet! they’re trying!!). Features absoulely STELLAR characterization of Midoriya, Shinsou, Todoroki, his sibblings, Ragdoll, and more!!

Here's an epistolary fic that no one asked for! A continuation of my "Izuku got OFA but that was the last time anything went his way" series.

I spent way too much time on formatting, but hey, it was literally the most fun I've had in months, and it got me writing again. I'm a fan of epistolary and social media fics (and books) in general, but of course I have to shout out the incomparable Q.A.B., by jihnari, which I re-read for the 3rd or 4th time while working on this.

This is maybe not the most exciting update, but it genuinely was a lot of fun and really helped my momentum, which is always a good thing. And I had fun showing the media/public reaction to All Might just...going dark. I'm not sure how realistic it is for his agency to be so evasive, but I'm imagining that they genuinely don't know what's going on. I'm sure there are some people at his agency who know his name, and of course there's Tsukauchi, but communication is slow and decision-making is slower.

And Nighteye...does it merit a "Sasaki Mirai | Sir Nighteye Being An Asshole" tag if it's just his agency's autoreply?

re: the website security, i live to serve lol. one time i was helping a cousin set up his new phone and he wanted to set it without a password and i basically just stared at him with a judgement until he at least set up a fingerprint. i will drag everyone i can down with me, but at least we'll all be safe
