𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞: 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐡
*Content heads up- there is a situation that exists as a metaphor for being robbed of autonomy , vague childhood abuse and underage alcohol use. This is a horror story, readers discretion advised.
When Amma turned thirteen, her best friend, Shauna Lane, snuck them a bottle of vodka from her sister’s collection. Amma saw Shauna as less as a person and more as a mannequin to pose however she liked.
Shauna didn’t go to church. She day drank in bathroom stalls. They’d sneak into one to skip a morning of classes and spend their time drawing crude images in sharpie from the health books they found.
Shauna’s older sister worked nights, which meant she danced on a pole in the highest platforms they’d ever seen, found during one of their snooping sessions in her closet.
Tucking her knees up in the toilet, Amma would shush Shauna when a teacher walked in. Shauna was always the loudest to snicker, and Amma would squeeze her cheeks together, whispering, “Shut up, or I’ll tell the admin you made me drink this, you whiny sow.” Amma’s hair was shorter then, and the dark spots on her ribs hadn’t appeared yet. She held a leash on anyone who didn’t listen to what she said.
“I’m not afraid of you,” Shauna would scoff. She never took Amma’s childish displays of possessiveness seriously, still snickering as if nothing could happen.
One day, Amma grabbed the base of Shauna’s neck, squeezing until the laughter stopped. Drunk on vodka, Shauna let it happen.
Years later, two weeks after they bused around Pushmataha county and a few others as bare and plain as the next, Rufus took Amma to a two-story cabin after the bus dropped them off a mile away. He offered her a piggyback ride up the incline, while she sucked on her lip a cherry, he gave her.
“I like my personal space“.
He smiled that dangerous smile and said, “We’re gonna get along fine.” He thumbed the bullet necklace he always wore, something he only did when he looked at her. Later, he would write in his diary, snapping it shut with that same innocent look whenever she caught him at it.
“Heaven,” as he called it, was an abandoned cabin, covered in moss that snaked down its sides. Amma, furious, dropped her Jansport inside and yelled at him. It was midday, and she was tired of his endless questions—why was she running away, who was she running from, how old was she? He wouldn’t stop, offering to hold her hand and count the moles on it like some lovesick fool. He kept yapping about a brother who knocked his tooth out with a BB gun.
She pestered him about it. Anytime, she asked to touch it, he ignored her, smiling oddly like his brains were going rattle rattle . On day three of their bus rides , they reeked of greasy burgers . His breath did too, but that didn’t stop Amma from wanting to touch the few empty gums in his mouth. She asked again, and without warning, Rufus had shoved her finger down his mouth. He wiggled it around, saying “ See, See he knocked the root out clean“. Amma shuddered before elbowing him in the gut.
“Don’t touch me, you freak,” Amma stood over his crumpled form, breathing heavily. “I told you not to. Why didn’t you listen?” His look was threatening, dark and unreadable, something she couldn’t see through. Her face burned. Its like if she wasn’t yelling her voice was heard on deaf ears.
“Isn’t this what you wanted?” he murmured, echoing words that doused her in shame, the kind she felt whenever someone brushed against her without permission.
“You didn’t ask me what I wanted—you only assumed.”
He gasped, clutching his stomach. “M’sorry. M’sorry Amma. I’m really sorry.” And she had to pretend that it made her feel better because this boy was all she had.
Despite everything her mother had raised her to believe, Amma stayed the night, using her ratty backpack as a pillow and feeling grateful she’d brought enough underwear to last a while.
Rufus slept on a bed across the room. He kept a shotgun under it, and she eyed it more than once. He was a hunter too, she thought, trying to figure out where to place him in her life.
Was he Shauna? Weird, pliant, always doing what Amma told him to until he didn’t. That’s when she’d yank his leash, just like she had with Shauna.
Rufus said goodnight, covering his yellow eyes with his cowboy hat. He didn’t sleep with a shirt, and Amma pretended to be asleep as he stripped down. They’d shared halves of a sloppy burger and a shake two days ago, broke kids with nowhere to go and no one to watch over them.
Amma kept her sleeve knife wedged between her fingers, thinking of burying it into something—a tree, perhaps, carving her name into it to stay forever. If he killed her and she died, maybe her parents would cry themselves to death at her grave, salting the earth so she’d live on in memory.
The first night she slept near him, she dreamed.
Her mind wandered to ghostly images of lips pressed against the nape of another’s neck, dreams she’d had before. This body was sexless. Her mind wandered to it on her best friend’s couch during sleepovers. She’d sleep in a room away from Shauna because Shauna kicked her out for not wanting to drink more vodka, and Amma had never wanted to share a bed with anyone again since that bad sleepover. The dreams were innocent but her teeth scraped skin, sinking in.
She bristled in her sleep, clinging to herself as she dreamed of things she couldn’t understand. Things always went south for Amma just before the pull of a trigger.
And so, young Amma slept, holding herself close.

I can't take a better picture of this without being weird but this is the pushmataha county jail with a little caged in yard on the outside made of run of the mill garden lattice and a horribly made sign that says "do not speak to inmates". And you can't see it but one of the inmates is also outside unsupervised weed eating the lawn

Gaineswood Plantation Alabama
The first Gaineswood plantation house was built in 1843 by General Nathan Whitfield, a year after he purchased the 480 acre property, though the first house was simply a large log cabin.
Before Whitfield owned the land it was the site of a rather historic event in the nation at the time. The previous owner, Edmund P. Gaines met with the famous Indian chief pushmataha under a large oak tree, to negotiate the removal of Choctaw forces back to Indian territory. The tree they met under became known as the Pushmataha tree.
When Whitfield owned the estate he made his fortune from cotton farming, for which he bought many slaves that lived in small houses on the land. He was known to be a typical plantation owner when it came to slaves, treating them badly and working them too hard, which included making them dig a huge drainage canal during the summer months.
When Whitfield first bought the estate it was known as the Marlmont estate, though it was renamed in 1856 to its current name in honor of General Gaines, the man who sold it to him. Soon after this the present structure began to be built in the same place as the log cabin.
It was completed on the eve of the American civil war and remains to this day the finest plantation house ever built in Marengo county. Today the house offers tours around its grounds and through the inside of the house and is also open to the general public as a historic house museum.
There probably isn't a plantation house in the south that isn't thought to be haunted, and with good reason due to the horrific treatment many suffered in these places.
The most common source of plantation hauntings is obviously the slaves, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. The paranormal activity in the house is thought to be caused by a single ghost. The most common story is that the spirit is a past nanny called Evelyn Carter, who was buried beneath the house instead of her chosen spot in the family cemetery back in Virginia.
Apart from the odd item being misplaced and the occasional cold spot, the main way she likes to make herself known is by playing the piano. The sound only comes when no one is in the room to see it, but has been heard by many visitors and staff. One interesting thing about the music she plays is it is always very old, forgotten songs that people didn't know existed.
The nearby river is also thought to have provided a few ghosts to the property, making themselves known in the form of ghostly figures moving through the trees or brushing past people walking along the main paths. They are thought to have been from an accident when a steamboat called the Eliza Battle caught fire and killed several people on board.

The Back Story of Ringold, Oklahoma
Does Ringold have any dark secrets and what could they be?
well, first let's start with some basic everyday history about the town.
Ringold is an unincorported community. It was formerly called Burwell. Untied States Post Office opened at Burwell(ringold), Indian Territory on October 31st 1906. It was named for William P. Burwell, the towns first postmaster. the name was changed to RIngold on May 10th 1911, after Oklahoma was admitted as a state. the community was named after Ringold,Texas. Frome which a number of its early european-americian settlers migrated.
Until advent of Oklahoma's statehood, Burwell was located in Cedar County, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory. In contrast to Burwell/Ringold, some other communities in the area such as Rattan are now included in Pushmataha County.

Denoya, also called Whizbang (21816.33, Oklahoma Historical Society Photograph Collection, OHS).
GHOST TOWNS. In Ghost Towns of Oklahoma, John W. Morris defines ghost towns as those communities that no longer exist as well as those in which remains of residences and businesses exist but are generally unused and those in which the population has declined at least 80 percent from its peak. Using those criteria, Morris estimated that Oklahoma has had approximately two thousand ghost towns. Oklahoma towns sprang into existence and died due to economic booms and busts, the routing of railroad lines, and power struggles between town promoters. Other causes for the disappearance of towns include natural disasters as well as the development of reservoirs and man-made lakes. Some of the livelier and more colorful Oklahoma ghost towns have been the “liquor towns.” In 1888 Beer City, in No Man’s Land (also known as the Public Land Strip and the Oklahoma Panhandle), catered to cowboys and cattle dealers with its saloons and dance halls. Beer City existed until the passage of the Organic Act of 1890, which made the Panhandle part of Oklahoma Territory, and law and order prevailed. Numerous “whiskey towns” were located in Oklahoma Territory along its boundary with Indian Territory where liquor was illegal. Corner, Violet Springs, and Keokuk Falls, all in Pottawatomie County, had healthy economies based on liquor trade until 1907 statehood when Oklahoma was admitted to the Union as a “dry” state. Keystone and Appalachia, both in present Pawnee County, existed as “liquor towns” during their early history and met their demise with the construction of the Keystone Dam in 1960. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Moral, established in Pottawatomie County in 1892, was so named because no saloons were allowed in the town. Rivalry among town promoters caused the demise of several Oklahoma towns. In southwest Oklahoma in Tillman County, Eschiti was platted in 1907 by the U.S. Department of Interior. When the Wichita Falls and Northwestern Railroad extended its line from Texas into Oklahoma, Frank Kell, a townsite promoter, and others had secured the right-of-way from the federal government. Thus, Kell routed the rail line two miles southwest of Eschiti and established Kell City. While the two towns feuded, Rev. A. J. Tant platted a town on part of his land, which was located between Eschiti and Kell City. Soon citizens were moving from those two towns to the new town of Grandfield. By 1909 the former towns disappeared. Another example of rivalry occurred in Kay County between Cross and Ponca City, with Ponca City the victor in 1894. Many towns fought to become the county seat and with it the assurance of long-term existence. Cloud Chief in Washita County and Ingersoll in Alfalfa County are among some of the losers in the struggle to gain the seat of county government. With the oil boom of the 1920s many towns had a prosperous existence until the Great Depression. Denoya, known locally as Whizbang, was an oil-boom town established in 1921 in Osage County. Although prosperity diminished in the late 1920s, Denoya ceased to exist when the post office closed in 1942. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway had abandoned its line in 1939. Another oil-boom town was Three Sands, located on the boundary of Kay and Noble counties. Established in 1921, it existed as a number of business districts and oil-field camps built along the roads. Although the oil bust came in 1926, Three Sands continued until the schools closed in 1946, and the businesses ceased in 1951. In addition to the downturn in the oil and gas industry, Oklahoma towns have suffered from setbacks in the lumber and mining industries. Southeastern Oklahoma lumber-mill towns such as Clebit, Kosoma, and Pine Valley met their demise during the Great Depression. Some of those towns reopened as the economy improved but again ceased to exist after the forests had been depleted. Several mining towns such as Jumbo (Pushmataha County), Meers (Comanche County), and Bickford (Blaine County) closed due to various causes, including mining disasters or depletion of natural resources. The placement of railroad lines has also caused the demise of some towns. When the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad built its first route through Indian Territory in 1872 it bypassed Boggy Depot, Perryville, and North Fork Town, bringing on their decline as trade centers. Likewise, Parkersburg, established in 1901 in western Oklahoma, was a thriving agricultural trade center of seven hundred inhabitants before becoming a ghost town in 1904. Parkersburg citizens realized that the town was doomed when two railroads intersected in Clinton, three miles to the east. Consequently, they moved their homes and businesses to Clinton. Disasters such as fires, floods, and tornadoes have created ghost towns. Flooding of the North Canadian River caused the abandonment of Burke City in Okfuskee County in the early 1900s. The community of Frazer, founded in 1885 along Bitter Creek in present Jackson County, was moved to higher ground after a flood in 1891. Frazer citizens renamed their town Altus. The Kay County town of Eddy met its demise after being devastated by several tornadoes and numerous fires. In addition to natural disasters, towns such as Hochatown, old Kaw City, Lugert, and Sardis have disappeared when reservoirs and lakes were developed. Ghost towns everywhere have a certain lure. Faded, weather-worn signs dangling in the wind and stone foundations of former buildings, as indications of long-forgotten settlements, greet the wayward traveler. The names and dates on gravestones in abandoned cemeteries give a hint as to who came to Oklahoma to build a new life in these once-progressive locations. Linda D. Wilson

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐰𝐨: 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬
Trigger Warning(s) for mentions of domestic violence, general violence. This is a horror story reader’s discretion advised.
……
April 27th, 1991
Pushmataha County, Oklahoma
Greyhound Bus Stop
It’s been three days since Amma ran away, and she’s out of money. No more scratchy motel sheets, no toothbrush, and her breath stinks.
Since then, she tried not to think of her parents and her siblings wondering why her bed was empty. Amma hoped her dad would be the most outraged. She wanted him to cry about his missing girl and shave his head bald , slowly going mad over her. My Amma is gone, he’d weap. She hoped he would accuse Jimmy of being the reason she was gone. He would defend her then and not be such a stick for once. Stand up for her and be a real father.
Amma hoped Jimmy would beat himself up about it too, but his crazy ass didn’t mean much to her anymore. When he started hitting her, Amma thought about killing him, late at night in his sleep. She thought about burning his hands with a lighter and cutting his tongue out many nights before she always went back to him. That, was what kept her from turning back again. She’d sooner brush her teeth with a chainsaw then go back and forgive and forget. Like her ma did to her cheating dad. Amma knew about that, too.
So she grips her bus ticket tighter and tighter. So, no one can steal this one good thing from her. She is not going back, ever.
Amma waits for the bus idly. A boy joins her. He has long black hair and bright blue eyes like they’re crystals. She remembers the knife she kept in her jacket sleeve. Any creep that wanted to mess with her would be missing his or her crown jewels. She watched the boy, warily lile a rabbit ready to scurry off.
Crumbs fall from his sun-chapped lips. Amma watches him grind the ham and cheese between his teeth, the corners of his mouth quirking up like he’s never known hunger. It’s been a day since she hopped out the fire escape when Jimmy had gotten released nights before.
Her stomach rumbles so loud, it sounds like a generator revving up inside her. He eats away, as if this is just one of many meals for the day, for the week—as if he has a healthy home to return to. The thought of such peace stirs anger deep inside her.
She wants to go back home, sit at a proper dinner table, and eat in comfort. Not the parking lot of some crappy fast food joint. But the lesson she knows best, the one life has always taught, is that good things aren’t given to you freely and choices, real choices, don’t exist.
She’s so lost in thought that she doesn’t notice the freckled hand waving in front of her face, holding out a perfectly cut triangle of bread.
“Want a bite? It’s no problem to me at all,” he says, his eyes glinting sharp, waiting. She sees he has stitches on his chest. Amma wanted to dig a finger into one, see if it hurt him much.
Amma blanks for a moment, then forces herself to say, “No thanks. I got a thing about sharing germs.” It’s not the truth, but her gaze won’t budge from the bruises blackening his knuckles, the nicks all over his crusted fingernails. His front teeth are wonky.
He shrugs, still holding the bread. “You’ll die if you don’t eat, and it looks like you haven’t inna while.”
She hasn’t eaten since yesterday morning. The boy’s right.
“My arm’s getting real tired, girl.” The tails of his coat flutter in the suffocating heat.
Amma hesitates, but it’s not poison he’s offering. Carefully, she takes it, feeling his eyes on her as she takes a bite, then another. The ham and cheese taste like cardboard, but at least it fills her up. She makes sure to frown, not letting him know she almost likes it.
“It’s not gonna disappear,” he says with a cackle, tipping his head back, the sound too warm, too happy for her taste.
“Bastard,” Amma mutters under her breath.
“Thought a gal like you would be more ladylike.” He smirks. “What happened to the germaphobia?”
Amma licks the crumbs off her thumb, all shame gone. “I look clean to you?. You must be dumber than you look ” she glares at him.
“Easy, girl“. he says, shrugging again. “ I can tell you don’t got no home to go back to, and by the looks of it. You need somewhere to crash…”
She thought back to the charm Jimmy had when he met her, leaning against her locker and smiling.
Her mind was playing tricks again.
“You’re a stranger,” Amma says. “We’ve never met, never talked, never hung out together. I don’t even know you.”
“Then get to know me,” he says, that careless shrug again. “I promise I won’t disappoint you.”
He swears a hand on his heart.
Amma has nowhere to go, and the offer hovers, just within reach. Maybe she has a choice now.
The darkness creeps in, swallowing up the stars one by one. The knife is still tucked into her jacket sleeve, just in case.
Amma stands up, shoulders relaxing. “Fine, but I’m not staying the night , and all we’re doing is hanging out. Try me and i’ll cut your tongue out , you hear?“
“Alrighty then,” he says with a grin. “My name’s Rufus Van Hauser. It’s german, how about that“.
He doesn’t ask for her name, and for that, Amma feels grateful. This is temporary, with no strings, no attachments.
“Okay, Rufus,” she says. “You got a place in mind. Where’re we staying tonight?”.
Something in his attention makes her feel strange—giddy and sick all at once.
He laughs, low and bubbling in his throat and says.
“Heaven.”
Those were some famous last words.

He’s in the Oklahoma state House, and he’s up for reelection in 2020. He won the district by more than 2 to 1 in 2018, so it’d likely be hard to unseat him. The district is almost 75% white and almost 20% Native American, and covers Pushmataha County and parts of a couple of others, near the southeastern corner.
Ballotpedia says there’s ~34,000 people in the district. There’s ~11,000 people in Pushmataha county, which has about 7000 registered voters - and that they’re 2/3 Democratic. Similar R/D split for the two other counties that are partially in the district: Democrats outnumber Republicans.
2018 election results: just shy of 7000 votes for Humphrey; a bit more than 3200 for Collins, his (D) competition.
DEMOCRATS CAN WIN BY SHOWING UP TO VOTE. Republicans only win through voter suppression tactics, including convincing people that they have equal or greater support so Dems should just not bother.
Kick him out. Start campaigning NOW. Find somebody who’s willing to stand up and say, “I’m going to work for the rights of ALL Oklahomans, including the women, who are not reduced to ‘hosts’ when they’re pregnant.” Have them make the numbers part of their campaign info: Hey, did you know that Democrats outnumber Republicans in this part of Oklahoma? Wouldn’t you like to have someone representing YOU in the state legislature?
Oh, and from the schadenfreude department: He got injured at a recent rodeo (where he was campaigning for re-election), and then someone stole $40,000 worth of cattle from him.

Pushmataha County OK Prescription Drugs Lawyer
In today’s world, millions of people and many of them in Pushmataha County OK rely on prescription medicines to help them get through the day. We use prescriptions to remedy illnesses, deal with pain, and even to save our lives. There is a nasty portion to prescriptions when it comes to abuse and selling. Some prescription drugs are so addictive that people try to obtain them without prescriptions or on the streets. Unfortunately, those drugs can be poorly manufactured and can cause harm and, unfortunately in many cases, death.
If someone takes a prescription drug and suffers injury of any type, that person can file a lawsuit against the manufacturer. If the drugs were taken illegally, there are instances where the person who sells the drugs to the person can be found liable.
No matter what, an experienced Pushmataha County OK prescription drugs lawyer can help to fight for your rights in court. They will be able to illustrate your situation to the court and fight for your rights.
What Are Prescription Drugs?
Prescription drugs are medical treatments that can not legally be given to a person without a prescription from a medical professional – most often a doctor, but sometimes a dental professional. These are drugs that necessitate a pharmacist to provide and a great deal of monitoring.
These drugs are different from over the counter (OTC) drugs, which can be purchased without a prescription or doctor’s recommendation. Sometimes, one will take prescription drugs, such as painkillers or antibiotics, for an abbreviated period of time.
Prescription drugs also tend to call for long-term assessments and research into the effects of consistent treatment. They are monitored by a doctor and/or a pharmacist because the person taking them can develop an addiction to them – or they could be selling them on the street.
Why Do I Need a Prescription Drug Lawyer?
When you take a prescription drug, you are putting your faith into the doctors, pharmacists, and researchers who produced the medicine. Things do go wrong. Prescription drug lawyers tend to help with two different cases:
-Defective Products
-Failure to Warn
Defective products cases claim that the manufacturers of the drug did not adequately research or test the drugs and therefore put an unsafe product onto the market. Sometimes, there is only one batch of the drug that is defective because of a manufacturing flaw. It isn’t uncommon for there to be design imperfections where there is something wrong with almost all of the medicine.
Failure To warn cases claim that the manufacturer was aware that there were threats with the drug, and still promoted it. Sometimes, manufacturers will warn of the side effects, but sometimes they will conceal them. With years and years of examination, it is unlikely that a new side effect will pop up when it hits the market.
Sometimes, a top Pushmataha County OK prescription drugs lawyer will be able to help with cases against the medical professionals, such as the pharmacists, doctors, and other professionals that can be held responsible for malpractice. This occurs when the wrong dose of the drug is given, a drug has been prescribed that is recalled, or a doctor prescribes a drug that reacts to medicine their patient is already taking.

If you suspect that a prescription drug has harmed you or someone that you love, you may need to contact a good Pushmataha County OK prescription drug attorney. Typically, a bid bond and P&P bond are done together in the same contract by the surety. This way, the owner of the project is assured that the project can be completed pursuant to the terms of the contract and that it will not be liened by any contractor. This is risk security for the owner of the project.
Who Gets the Bond?
The general contractor is the company that obtains the bond. It is for the benefit of the owner (or in the case of government contract work, the governmental entity). Bid Bonds can be complicated to apply for, especially if you don’t understand how they work. Most individuals consider this as insurance, but it’s actually a type of guarantee that the principal will perform their work properly for the obliged. Insurance companies usually offer a Surety Bid Bond, but you cannot call it insurance because its function is different. Most individuals will require you to get a bid bond before they consider your services as it is a form of guarantee to them.
If you’d like to consider applying for a bid bond or other bonds, you must understand how they work. We will provide you information on the importance of Bid Bonds and how they actually work.
The Importance Of A Surety Bid Bond
Bid Bonds will always be in demand to protect the public because it is a kind of assurance that your obligations and duties will be completed. Most states require you to get a license surety bond to ensure that your company will adhere to state code and laws and you get a contract bond to guarantee that a public project will be completed. A Surety Bid Bond is meant for the obliged since they are the ones that are being protected, but it will also benefit you because the clients will trust you and your work. There are thousands of bonds right now and the type of bond that you are trying to find will depend upon your situation.
The Primary Purpose Of A Surety Bid Bond
Bid Bonds are a three-party agreement between the principal, the obliged and the surety company. The principal is the employer or company which will perform the work and the obliged is known as the project owner. Construction companies will almost always be required by law to acquire Bid Bonds if they’re chosen for a public project. The government will require a construction company to get a host of bonds before they work on a certain project. The bond will ensure that the sub-contractors and the other workers will be paid even if the contractor defaults. The contractor will cover the losses, but when they reach their limit, the duty will fall to the surety company.
How To Apply For A Surety Bid Bond
Bid Bonds are provided by insurance providers, but there are standalone surety businesses that focus on these products. A surety company must be licensed by a state Department of Insurance.
It won’t be easy to apply for a bond since the applicants will have to go through a process that is comparable to applying for a loan. The bond underwriters will look into the credit profile of the applicant, their financial history and other key factors.
It means that there is a chance that you won’t be approved for a bid bond, particularly if the bond underwriters see something from your credit rating that makes them think you will be a risk.
How Much Will You Spend?
You cannot put an exact cost on a Surety Bid Bond because the cost is affected by numerous factors like the bond type, bond amount, where it will likely be issued, contractual risk, credit history of the applicant and more. There are thousands of different bonds available today and the cost will depend on the bond that you want to get. The amount of the bond will be a factor because you could select a $10,000 bond or a $25,000 bond or higher.
If you already have a credit history of 700 and above or very near this number, you can be eligible for the standard bonding market and you will need to pay 1 to 4 percent of the Surety Bid Bond amount. It means that if you obtain a $10,000 bond, you only have to pay $100 to $400 for the interest.
Your Application For A Bid Bond Could Be Rejected
There is a possibility that your bid bond request will be refused by the surety company since it will depend upon the information that they can get from the background check. If the surety company thinks that it will be a risk to give you a bid bond, they will deny your application. Your credit history is one of the most important factors to be approved for a bid bond because if you have a bad credit history, it shows a risk of default on the bond.
You CAN get a bid bond even if you have a bad credit score, but most likely you will pay an interest rate upwards of 10 to 20 percent.
If you plan to get a Surety Bid Bond, make certain you understand what is required prior to deciding. It is not easy to apply for, but if you know more about them, it will be a little bit easier to be approved.

‘Most Wanted Fugitive’ who faked death to avoid child sex charges arrested in Oklahoma
ANTLERS, Okla. (KFOR) – Authorities say a fugitive who faked his own death to avoid child sex charges has been arrested in an Oklahoma town.
Officials say accusations arose against Jacob Blair Scott after his stepdaughter became pregnant.
Scott was facing a 14-court indictment charging him with sexual battery, touching a child for lustful purposes, and exploitation of a child.
He was released on bond and then failed to appear for a court hearing. At that point, authorities say Scott faked his own death in order to avoid prosecution.
In July of 2018, investigators found his abandoned dinghy off the coast of Orange Beach, Alabama. Inside the vessel, investigators found a gun and a note but little evidence that actually indicated a suicide.
Detectives also learned that Scott had withdrawn $45,000 from a bank account before his disappearance.
A week-long search of the Gulf of Mexico was conducted but Scott’s body was never found.
Authorities believed that Scott, a survivalist and military veteran who received a Purple Heart for his service in Iraq, would use his training to avoid detection by law enforcement agencies. They say his unique knowledge of the outdoors would enable him to live off the grid.
Recently, Scott was added to the U.S. Marshal’s ‘Top 15 Most Wanted’ list, and a $25,000 reward was offered for tips leading to his arrest.
Officials in Pushmataha County say deputies received a tip that Scott might be hiding out in Antlers and using a false identity.
Around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, law enforcement officers with the Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals, and the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police took Scott into custody.
