If I wrote an epic fantasy novel about two endlessly warring people, one with the ability to control the weather courtesy of their mighty patron storm god and one with the ability to see the future courtesy of their wise patron seer god, and the conflict between them is ancient and (seemingly) unsolvable, there’s been centuries of so much violence on both sides that the original cause is almost irrelevant and tbh mostly forgotten, other than that each side insists that their god is the one true god, and the others are just heretics/delusional/etc…

How far do you think I could get before it became clear that this was set several centuries after the complete collapse of civilization in North America and they were fighting about interpretations of Punxsutawney Phil?

guys I cannot keep living like this so so so many people are tagging my Punxsutawney Phil Phamily post "shadow the groundhog!!! sonic real!!" and I need you to STOP okay Shadow the edgelord from the sonic franchise is a HEDGEHOG!!! groundhogs and hedgehogs are two completely different animals!!! I can't keep living like this it is so important to me that you know the difference

they are NOTHING alike Shadow the Hedgehog is the edgelord on the right okay he can fit in the palm of your hand whereas a groundhog is basically a beaver!!! chunky and soft and medium sized!!! hedgehogs aren't even rodents!!! groundhogs are!! they aren't even closely related!! it is so DIRE that you people learn the difference!!!!

Groundhog Day 2024

Punxsutawney Phil’s shadow is the spectre haunting Europe.

Punxsutawney Phil says that there are 6 more weeks of winter because he saw his shadow. Punxsutawney Phil lives in Pennsylvania at Gobbler's Knob. He is the groundhog who I've listened to for most of my life. The groundhog named Staten Island Chuck who is supposed to be more accurate, saw his shadow, and therefore, he predicts an early spring. In Georgia, the groundhog named General Lee saw his shadow so he says that there's six more weeks of winter. In Ohio, Buckeye Chuck didn't see his shadow and says that we'll have an early spring. I guess that we'll find out who is right in the next month or two. I'm happy either way because I love the spring, but i take want some snow.
