What's going on in California?
Ok, I know we were on strike just last year, but we're doing this shit again everybody!!!! Resources at the bottom.
If you haven't been following what's been happening at the University of California (the largest employer and schooling/housing provider in the 5th largest economy in the world) here's the situation: graduate student workers and other members of the UAW union are currently striking following the UC's recent unfair labor practices (ULPs), which have included arresting, suspending, and blacklisting peaceful pro-Palestinian protestors on their own campuses. This was particularly egregious at UCLA (read this, this, this, and this), but the same thing has happened on other UC campuses like UC San Diego and UC Irvine too.
These actions were unlawful. The administration has turned campuses across the UC system into a zone of militarized policing and begun criminalizing UC students’ right to protest. By resorting to intimidation and force, UC administration has created a hostile working environment and violated the terms of our contracts. So, we're not working!

The UC hates that we are protesting about this and is trying to block this strike in every way they can. They already filed two injunctions with the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) to have our strike declared unlawful, and both injunctions were swiftly denied. In fact, PERB just launched a formal complaint about the UC on the back of this second injunction :)
It should be very clear to everyone watching that students and workers should have the right to exercise their freedom of assembly and freedom of speech on their campuses! So we have to stand up and fight back!
The current demands by striking UAW members are:
Amnesty for all academic employees, students, student groups, faculty, and staff who have faced disciplinary action or arrest due to protest.
Right to free speech and political expression on campus.
Divestment from UC's known investments in weapons manufacturers, military contractors, and companies profiting from Israel's war on Palestine.
Disclosure of all funding sources and investments, including contracts, grants, and investments, through a publicly available, publicly accessible, and up-to-date database.
Empower researchers to opt out of funding sources tied to the military or oppression of Palestinians.
Votes on key policies are still being delayed by the UC Regents, so this protest does have the potential to change how things at the university are done. The good news is that some UC campuses have even already done these things! UC Riverside avoided this before the strike even happened by reaching peaceful resolution!
WE CAN AND WE WILL WIN! WE WILL DO IT FOR PALESTINE!
If you'd like to support the ongoing strike efforts, here are some ways that you can help the UAW directly:
Repost content from the UAW and make some noise! Here is their Twitter; here is their Insta
Show your support for the strike on social media! Here are some IG templates for you to use :)
Donate to the hardship solidarity fund
Thanks for supporting workers' rights! Solidarity forever ✊

The picture above inspired me to this new story full of smelly foot and sock fantasies…
Justin’s college adventure - a smelly foot and sock heaven!
I woke up to the sound of the sun peeking through the blinds, casting a warm glow over my dorm room. I stretched out my arms and yawned, feeling the softness of my bed and the familiar comfort of my surroundings. It was another beautiful day in San Diego, and I couldn't wait to get out and start my day.
I tossed on my favorite pair of baggy skater shorts, which had become a staple in my wardrobe over the past few months. I paired them with a white graphic t-shirt and a pair of cool slide sandals that I loved. The soft leather and the way they made me feel like I was walking on clouds were just too good to resist.
As I headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash up, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My messy brown hair was sticking up in every direction, and my bright blue eyes sparkled with excitement. I gave myself a satisfied nod, feeling like I was ready to take on the day.
I padded out of my room, barefooted, and made my way to the communal kitchen to grab a quick breakfast. As I poured myself a bowl of cereal, I couldn't help but scan the room for familiar faces. Ah, there was Jake from my marketing class, lounging on the couch with his Birkenstocks on. And Alex from my psychology class, sitting at the table with his feet propped up on a chair, wearing a pair of white socks that looked like they'd been worn just once.
I felt a thrill run through me as I watched them both nonchalantly play with their feet under the table. Jake was absently rubbing his toes together, while Alex was tracing circles on his ankle with his index finger. It was like they were speaking their own secret language, one that only fellow foot lovers could understand.
I chuckled to myself as I headed back to my room to grab my backpack. San Diego was definitely the place for me – where people didn't bat an eye at socks and sandals or bare feet in public. It was like everyone here shared my passion for all things foot-related.
As I walked out into the bright sunlight, I felt a sense of freedom wash over me. Today was going to be a great day, full of classes, studying, and maybe even some sneaky foot-spying during lectures. I grinned to myself as I made my way across campus, feeling like I was exactly where I belonged.
"Hey, Justin!" someone called out from across the quad.
I turned to see Tyler from my English class waving at me from under the shade of a palm tree. He was wearing his favorite flip-flops and had a mischievous glint in his eye.
"What's up, dude?" I replied, jogging over to join him.
Tyler leaned in conspiratorially. "Just waiting for our 10 am lecture to start. You know how much I hate standing in line for coffee."
I chuckled and nodded in agreement. "Tell me about it. But hey, at least we'll have each other's company."
Tyler grinned and clapped me on the back. "And who knows? Maybe we'll even get some foot action during class today."
I snorted and rolled my eyes good-naturedly. "You're such a perv."
Tyler just shrugged and grinned again. "Hey, someone's gotta keep you grounded."
As we walked off towards our lecture hall, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this little community of foot-loving friends I'd found here in San Diego. We may have been a quirky bunch, but we knew how to appreciate the little things in life – like perfectly pedicured toes and soft, worn-in socks.
And who knows? Maybe today would be the day we'd discover some new favorite foot fetishes...
I walked into the lecture hall, Tyler by my side, and took my seat in the back row. Professor Thompson was droning on about something boring, but I wasn't really paying attention. My eyes were scanning the room, taking in the familiar sight of my classmates lounging in their seats, some with their feet propped up on the chairs, others with their shoes off completely.
My gaze landed on Alex, who was sitting two rows ahead of me, his white socks peeking out from under his shorts. He was always one of the most distracting guys in class, and today was no exception. As he scribbled notes with his pen, his toes began to curl and uncurl like little paws, sending a shiver down my spine.
I felt a warm sensation spread through my chest as I watched him. It was like he had a secret language, one that only I understood. The way he moved his feet around under the table, the way his toes flexed and relaxed... it was like he was speaking directly to me.
I glanced around the room, taking in the other guys who were also sporting socks and sandals. Jake was sitting next to Alex, his Birkenstocks worn and scuffed from countless days spent lounging around campus. He was absently playing with his toes, wiggling them back and forth like they were piano keys.
Across the aisle from me, I caught sight of Chris, who was sitting with his feet bare and his eyes fixed intently on something on his phone. His big toe was curled over the edge of his footrest, and I couldn't help but notice how it seemed to be beckoning me towards him.
I felt my heart racing as I tried to focus on Professor Thompson's words, but it was no use. My attention kept drifting back to my classmates' feet. The way they moved, the way they looked... it was like they were performing just for me.
As the lecture droned on, I found myself slipping further and further into a daydream. I imagined myself joining them on their little foot-party, our toes curled and uncurled in perfect sync. I pictured us all lounging around a campfire, our feet intertwined as we shared stories and laughed together.
The bell rang, signaling the end of class, and I snapped back to reality. Tyler nudged me awake, grinning mischievously.
"Hey, did you fall asleep?"
I shook my head sheepishly. "Just lost in thought."
Tyler raised an eyebrow. "About what?"
I glanced around the room quickly before leaning in close. "About those feet."
Tyler's grin grew wider. "Oh yeah? Which ones caught your attention this time?"
I chuckled and shook my head. "All of them."
As we filed out of the lecture hall with our classmates, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this strange little obsession we all shared. It may have been unusual, but it was ours alone – a secret language that only we could understand.
And as we walked off towards our next class, I couldn't help but wonder what other foot-tastic adventures lay ahead for us in San Diego's sun-kissed streets.
I settled into the communal room of our dorm, surrounded by the familiar sounds and smells of my fellow students. The worn-out couches and ratty coffee table were a testament to the countless hours we'd spent lounging around, doing homework, watching TV, or just hanging out.
As I took a seat on the couch, my eyes wandered around the room, taking in the array of bare feet and socks on display. Jake was sitting in the corner, his feet propped up on a stool, his toes wiggling lazily. Next to him, Alex was sprawled out on a bean bag chair, his white socks pulled up high on his legs.
The air was thick with the smell of worn socks and sweaty feet. It was a pungent aroma that I'd grown accustomed to over the past few months, but it still sent shivers down my spine every time. I loved it.
Tyler plopped down beside me on the couch, his own feet clad in a pair of scuffed Birkenstocks. "Hey, man," he said, not looking up from his phone.
I nodded absently, my gaze drifting back to the feet. "Hey."
As we sat there, the smell of sweat and socks seemed to grow more intense. It was like the air itself was alive with the scent of human feet. I felt myself relaxing into it, letting the familiar aroma wash over me.
Suddenly, Chris got up from his spot on the floor and padded over to the coffee table. He was wearing nothing but a pair of loose-fitting shorts and a faded t-shirt. His feet were bare and dusty from walking around campus all day.
As he sat down beside me, I felt my heart skip a beat. His feet were so... soft. So... inviting. I couldn't help but reach out and gently touch them, tracing my fingers along the curves of his toes.
"Hey," Chris said softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled.
I smiled back, feeling a sense of comfort wash over me. This was what it meant to be among friends – to be surrounded by people who understood you, who accepted you for who you were.
As we sat there in comfortable silence, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this strange little community we'd formed. We may have been a group of misfits, but we'd found something special here – something that went beyond mere friendship.
It was a connection that spoke to something deep within us – a love for the simple things in life: worn socks, sweaty feet, and the comforting smell of human skin.
And as we sat there in the communal room of our dorm, surrounded by the familiar sights and smells of our little tribe, I knew that I was exactly where I belonged.
I couldn't help but be drawn in by Chris's bare feet, so soft and inviting. I felt my body begin to relax, my senses coming alive as I reached out to touch them again. But this time, I didn't just stop at touching. I let my body slide down the couch, my knees bending as I went onto all fours.
Chris looked down at me, a mixture of surprise and amusement on his face. "Dude, what are you doing?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
I didn't answer, too caught up in the sensation of being close to his feet. I sniffed at them, taking in the pungent aroma of sweat and dirt. It was like a siren's call, drawing me in closer.
Tyler and Jake looked over from their spots on the couch, their faces a mix of curiosity and concern. But I didn't care. I was too busy indulging in the sensory experience of Chris's feet.
I buried my face in his toes, inhaling deeply. The smell was overwhelming, but in a good way. It was like a warm hug for my senses.
Chris chuckled and leaned forward, his hands on my shoulders. "Dude, you're really getting into this, aren't you?"
I nodded, my face still buried in his feet. I couldn't help it. The smell was intoxicating.
As I sniffed and snuffled around Chris's feet, I felt a sense of release wash over me. It was like I'd finally found what I'd been searching for all along – a connection to something primal and basic.
Tyler and Jake were still watching us, but they seemed to be enjoying the show. They'd always been tolerant of our little foot fetish, even participating in it themselves from time to time.
As I continued to sniff and explore Chris's feet, I felt myself getting lost in the moment. It was like I'd entered a different world – one where the rules of society didn't apply and all that mattered was the sensations coursing through my body.
And Chris was right there with me, his feet guiding me deeper into this strange and wonderful place.
Eventually, we all settled back onto the couch, panting and content. The smell of sweaty feet still lingered in the air, but it no longer seemed overpowering. It had become a part of us – a part of our little tribe's shared experience.
As we sat there in comfortable silence, I knew that our little foot fetish had brought us closer together. It had given us a bond that went beyond words – a connection that spoke directly to our senses.
And as we gazed off into space, our eyes locked on some distant horizon, I knew that we'd never forget this moment – this moment of connection and release.
I got back on the floor to relax and have a nap, surrounded by the pungent smell of socks and feet. As I lay on the floor, my senses still reeling from the intoxicating aroma of Chris's feet especially, I couldn't help but reach out to explore the other guys' feet as well. Tyler's feet were the next to capture my attention, and I eagerly sniffed at his toes, taking in the slightly sweet scent of his foot powder.
Jake was a little more hesitant, but eventually relaxed as I began to sniff at his feet as well. His socks were a bit stinkier than Chris's, but in a good way - like a rich, earthy aroma that filled my nostrils.
As I lay there, surrounded by the guys' feet and socks, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. It was like I'd finally found my happy place - a place where all my senses were satisfied and all my worries disappeared.
Before long, the other guys had joined me on the floor, their bare and socked feet poking out from under the couch cushions. They started to gather around me, their feet wiggling in the air as they settled in.
Tyler was the first to place his foot on my face, and I happily obliged, sniffing at his toes and toes. Jake was next, his foot landing on my forehead with a gentle thud. Chris followed suit, his foot resting on my nose.
As we lay there on the floor, our feet intertwined and our faces buried in each other's feet, it felt like we were in a world of our own. A world where all that mattered was the sensation of skin on skin, and the smell of sweaty feet.
The room seemed to fade away, leaving only the present moment - this moment of connection and intimacy. It was like we'd transcended language and social norms, and were speaking directly to each other through our bodies.
As we lay there, our breathing synchronized with each other's, I felt a deep sense of belonging. This was what it meant to be among friends - to be able to connect with each other on this primal level.
Eventually, we slowly got up from the floor, our feet still tangled together. We stood there for a moment, grinning at each other like fools. It was like we'd just shared some kind of secret ritual - a secret that only we understood.
As we made our way back to our respective rooms, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this little tribe of mine. We may have been a bunch of misfits, but we'd found something special - something that went beyond words and societal norms.
And as I drifted off to sleep that night, the smell of sweaty feet still lingering in my nostrils, I knew that I'd never forget this moment - this moment of connection and release.

Former President Donald Trump and his team have spent days since the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago trying to assemble a "team of respected lawyers" but keep getting rejected, according to The Washington Post.
"Everyone is saying no," a prominent Republican lawyer told the outlet.
Trump is scrambling to find an experienced team of attorneys to defend him amid mounting legal crises. The Justice Department is investigating him under the Espionage Act after he took classified records, including some labeled "top secret," to his Mar-a-Lago residence. He also faces legal scrutiny in the DOJ's investigation into the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot, as well as a state civil probe in New York and a Fulton County, Ga., criminal investigation into his efforts to overturn his loss in the state.
Jon Sale, a former Watergate prosecutor who is now a prominent Florida defense attorney, told the Post he turned Trump down last week.
"You have to evaluate whether you want to take it," he said. "It's not like a DUI. It's representing the former President of the United States — and maybe the next one — in what's one of the highest-visibility cases ever."
Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich defended the quality of the former President's legal team, noting that it also includes former federal prosecutors Evan Corcoran, who represented former Trump adviser Steve Bannon in his losing battle against the DOJ, and James Trusty, who was behind Trump's letter threatening a highly dubious defamation lawsuit against CNN for describing his election lies as lies.
"The President's lead counsel in relation to the raid of his home, Jim Trusty and Evan Corcoran, have decades of prosecutorial experience and have litigated some of the most complex cases in American history," Budowich told the Post. "President Trump is represented by some of the strongest attorneys in the country, and any suggestion otherwise is only driven by envy."
While Corcoran and Trusty submitted filings in the case, Trump's other attorneys have been tasked with making his case to the public in media appearances.
The most visible Trump attorney has been Christina Bobb, a former anchor at the right-wing outlet OAN, where she pushed election conspiracy theories that got the network sued by defamation by Dominion Voting Systems. Bobb's federal legal experience is largely limited to a "handful of trademark infringement cases on behalf of CrossFit" while she worked for a law firm in San Diego, according to the Post. Bobb has already undermined Trump's baseless claim that the FBI may have "planted" evidence during the search while no one was looking, revealing that Trump and his family were able to watch the entire raid through CCTV.
Trump's other Florida-based lawyer is Lindsey Halligan, a Florida insurance lawyer that handles residential and commercial claims but has never handled a federal case.
Trump's other attorney in the documents investigation is Alina Habba, who has a small practice near Trump's Bedminster, N.J., golf club. She previously worked as general counsel at a parking garage company. Habba has also represented Trump in his dubious lawsuits against the New York Times, Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee and his niece, Mary Trump.
The New York Times' Maggie Haberman noted that this is Trump's seventh or eighth legal team since he became President.
"Finding a new one has been a challenge amid his desire to treat this as a short term PR issue as opposed to a longer term legal one," she wrote.
The New York Times reported last week that one of Trump's lawyers signed a statement in June certifying that Trump had returned all classified documents to the National Archives after a grand jury subpoena was issued in the case. Investigators subsequently learned from inside sources that there were still classified documents at the resort. It's unclear which of Trump's attorneys signed the document.
"You get these guys who just live to be around him, and mistakes get made," an unnamed attorney told the Post. "These guys just want to make him happy."
"Either the attorney acted in good faith on what turned out to be false factual representations made by Mr. Trump or someone else communicating on his behalf, in which case Mr. Trump or his proxy would have criminal jeopardy for false statements or obstruction of justice, or the attorney knowingly gave false assurances to the government," David Laufman, the former head of the DOJ's counterintelligence division, told the Post. "And it's hard to believe that a lawyer knowingly would have lied to the government about the continued presence of classified documents."
Trump, who has faced myriad legal scandals from two impeachments to local criminal investigations, has repeatedly struggled to find elite attorneys to represent him.
"In olden days, he would tell firms representing him was a benefit because they could advertise off it. Today it's not the same," former Trump lawyer-turned-critic Michael Cohen told the Post. "He's also a very difficult client in that he's always pushing the envelope, he rarely listens to sound legal advice, and he wants you to do things that are not appropriate, ethically or legally."
Another attorney recalled Trump's legal team urging him to avoid tweeting about the Mueller investigation early in his presidency only to see a tweet about it before they even got to the end of the White House driveway. "Several people said Trump was nearly impossible to represent and that it would be unclear if they would ever get paid," the Post reported.
"This is not good," one Trump confidant told the outlet. "Something big is going to pop. Somebody needs to be in charge."

What do you mean by Alexi and Nathan might now want it (The Rookie) renewed for S6 if they have the syndication deal?
I'm so confused and new to this terminology... thanks 👍🏽
You have to remember that this show is a business. Think of the producers (Alexi + Nathan) as the business owners. They want to make money. In the entertainment industry - you make money when your show goes into syndication (i.e. reruns) Every time a rerun runs, all the actors, directors, editors, and producers make money. This is on top of their salaries - until they die basically unless otherwise stated in their employment contracts. World wide showings. An episode of Friends plays in France at 3 am - people make money.
Everything is salary based until syndication. That's when the big money comes into play. Most syndication contract conversations with distribution companies and other networks like USA, TNT, TBS etc happen around the 100 episode mark. Which usually is in Season 5 - when seasons are 22 episodes long.
Somehow, even with COVID and the weird shortened seasons, The Rookie was picked up for syndication before the end of Season 4. Who knows how they finagled that. I'm guessing that's why NF and Alexi are shifting their focus to the Rookie Fed show - to get that up and running and being successful. They no longer have to be solely focused on the success of the original Rookie show. Additionally, most actor contracts are at a minimum 5-6 years so that the original cast stays in place up until syndication happens. Passive income for those actors, etc.
The focus/shift of Alexi and NF was on blatant display at San Diego Comic Con last month. Most shows use Comicons to boost ad revenue, and to get the fans excited for the coming year. There are panel interviews, meet and greets, receptions, photo ops the works. Huge $$ spent on Public Relations.
I talk about Arrow a lot - but this little second tier comic book character - the Green Arrow - had a show with a hottie lead actor on a second tier network the CW and they maximized their exposure at Comicons. The main characters did all kinds of interviews, panels, meet and greets, signed pictures, photo ops, for hours - and because of their efforts - their show lasted 8 seasons and created a comic book franchine lock on that network. The Flash is still running.
The Rookie did the panel with the whole cast after Season 2 to build up the hype, get exposure for their main characters, etc. However, this year, what happened? The panel consisted of 4 people. Alexi, Nathan Fillion, Niecy Nash, and the Fed producer. That's it. Their focus was on launching The Rookie Fed - not on celebrating the success of the Rookie. And the one Chenford question that got through - was Alexi talking about change and ramifications. Not celebrating the fan favorite relationship - oh no, telling everyone to hold on to their hats and maybe instead focus on this other show - the Rookie Feds.
Nathan is supposedly splitting his time between the two shows - not sure how that will work from a character perspective but whatever.
So my original comment about Alexi and Nathan maybe not wanting a Season 6, is because they've got their rerun contract in place and probably have to do Season 5 for the actors who signed their original contracts. But i would not be surprised at all, if actors start leaving and if Season 6 doesn't happen.
And because of all of that above - Chenford is running out of time for anything to happen. The writers have 22 episodes to get them naked, in bed, and in a serious committed relationship before the end of the season to keep the fans happy. Because at this point, anything above and beyond those 22 episodes will be a gift.

We won’t see Michael Keaton in “Batgirl.”
Hope you had a Kill Fee in your contract, dude.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Via New York Post:
Holy millions down the drain, Batman!
The DC Comics film “Batgirl” will be completely “shelved” by Warner Bros., a top Hollywood source told The Post.
That means it won’t hit theaters or the streaming service HBO Max. Fans will not see it.
The reportedly $70 million movie (the source said the budget was actually more than $100 million), which was doing test screenings for audiences in anticipation of a late 2022 debut, would rank among the most expensive cinematic castoffs ever.
Those tests were said to be so poorly received by moviegoers that the studio decided to cut its losses and run, for the sake of the brand’s future. It’s a DC disaster.
“They think an unspeakable ‘Batgirl’ is going to be irredeemable,” the source said.
The Post has reached out to Warner Bros. for comment.
It’s been a monthslong walk of shame for the movie. “Batgirl,” directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (“Bad Boys for Life”), received not a single mention at DC’s Comic-Con panel in San Diego in July — an unusual move that raised industry eyebrows. The much-publicized event, after all, is designed to boost exposure for forthcoming projects just like this one.
Why Warner Bros. Killed ‘Batgirl’: Inside the Decision Not to Release the DC Movie.
Via Variety:
The death of “Batgirl” on Tuesday sent immediate shockwaves through Hollywood. The film — with a $75 million budget that grew to $90 million due to COVID-related overages — had finished shooting months ago and was in test screenings as directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (“Bad Boys for Life,” “Ms. Marvel”) worked through the post-production process. Star Leslie Grace (“In the Heights”) had given multiple interviews expressing her enthusiasm for landing the title role and working with co-stars Michael Keaton (as Batman), J.K. Simmons (as her character’s father, Commissioner Gordon) and Brendan Fraser (as the villain, Firefly).
In other words, the movie was nearly finished, and already building awareness among fans. Why would Warner Bros. Discovery throw all that away?
According to sources with knowledge of the situation, the most likely reason: taxes.
Several sources note that “Batgirl” was made under a different regime at Warner Bros., headed by Jason Kilar and Ann Sarnoff, that was singularly focused on building its streaming service, HBO Max. That effort included Kilar’s infamous decision to release the studio’s entire 2021 theatrical slate simultaneously on the streamer, which helped build the subscriber base but also jeopardized the studio’s reputation with top-tier talent (though many agents and stars privately came to appreciate the move when the company paid generous bonuses as a make-nice).
Even before David Zaslav took the reins of the newly formed Warner Bros. Discovery as CEO this spring, the exec went on a well-publicized listening tour designed to repair the company’s relationship with the creative community. As part of that effort, Zaslav has made no secret of reversing Kilar’s strategy and committing to releasing first-run feature films in theaters before putting them on HBO Max.
“Batgirl” found itself on the bad end of that decision, apparently neither big enough to feel worthy of a major theatrical release nor small enough to make economic sense in an increasingly cutthroat streaming landscape. Spending the money to expand the scope of “Batgirl” for theaters — plus the $30 million to $50 million needed to market it domestically and the tens of millions more needed for a global rollout — could have nearly doubled spending on the film, and insiders say that was a non-starter at a company newly focused on belt-tightening and the bottom line. (Spokespeople for Warner Bros. and Warner Bros. Discovery declined to comment for this story.)
Releasing the movie on HBO Max would seem to be the most obvious solution. Instead, the company has shelved “Batgirl” — along with the “Scoob!” sequel — and several sources say it will almost certainly take a tax write-down on both films, seen internally as the most financially sound way to recoup the costs (at least, on an accountant’s ledger). It could justify that by chalking it up to a post-merger change of strategy.
Doing so, however, would mean that Warner Bros. cannot monetize either movie — no HBO Max debut, no sale to another studio.
What the decision will cost the studio in creative capital, meanwhile, remains to be seen.

Hotel renovations near me
Like the rest of California, San Diego's hotel industry has been flourishing lately. In California, the number of mid-range and luxury hotels has skyrocketed, and San Diego is no different. This general contractor, who primarily serves the hospitality and tourism sectors, is based in the San Diego area. The San Diego branch's financial performance is greatly impacted by the hotel industry. We focus a lot of our attention on the San Diego region. We cover all of San Diego's neighborhoods and downtown areas.
A thorough understanding of both the owner's requirements and the hospitality industry is necessary for a high-quality repair. Things may not work out if the company you select lacks the necessary expertise. If you can remain hidden, your chances of surviving will be significantly increased. They may not be able to offer suggestions for good local hotels, so you might want to look elsewhere. Not many applicants have emphasized how important the business culture is. Only the most worthy people receive invitations to join exclusive international organizations. We expect a lot of exciting things to happen.
We can work with any international hotel chain since we are flexible. Hotel renovations near me If everything goes as planned, we'll be more equipped to take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves. Like us, there are a plethora of different service suppliers in the market. We handle construction, maintenance, and insurance claims. They have proven helpful several times. We won't squander time trying to provide a comprehensive list of our achievements. One of the main reasons Greython Construction has such a great reputation is because of the commitment and knowledge of its employees. The outcomes of these efforts are very favorable when all variables are taken into account. You can be certain that every guest will receive the best care possible because our highly skilled personnel has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. Our crew is capable of handling any problem that may come up while a hotel is being built or renovated. The need for hotel services is rising as an increasing number of businesses, both big and small, are making upgrades. Their fresh insights may prove advantageous for hotel maintenance techniques both traditional and nontraditional. They have no trouble switching between the two settings. As the need for lodging rises, an increasing number of hotels are being planned and constructed. This is largely because the public and private sectors are in great demand for their services. There are numerous establishments with five stars. We would love to have someone on our team with hotel construction or renovation experience. Those who possess wisdom and experience have lived longer and are more resilient in the face of difficulty. What makes them unique is their amazing ability to adjust to different environments. It is undoubtedly possible to apply what one has learned in one situation to another.
The doctor has prescribed a tranquil stay at the Greython Hotel. You never know who you might run into here that can give you a hand if you ever find yourself in a tight spot. You couldn't be in a better place at this time, in my opinion. The dining halls of Greython are perfect for a gathering like this.
The construction management of the hotel is working very hard to have everything finished before the busy season starts. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at any time to discuss developing hotels and related businesses. Long-term business success will depend on this. Any reputable construction company knows the value of a well-managed project. Greython's background in business management and education will enable her to update both the staff and guests of the hotel on the progress of the renovations. We have been browsing through the corporate database for ideas because we are constantly trying to shake things up and seize fresh opportunities. This is due to the fact that we have experience working with businesses across all industries. We can pursue other interests because we have a lot of free time. Our experience and knowledge enable us to take on challenging projects and seize intriguing opportunities. If all goes according to plan, output ought to soar. We can ensure that every single one of our clients will receive nothing less than exceptional service in this way. Never abandon the trust that the building's original designers, architects, or owners placed in it. As a result of everyone's unwavering support, our business has expanded. Our business's ability to comply with these terms will determine whether it succeeds or fails.
Hotel owners can leverage our substantial construction knowledge, innovative design concepts, and complete project management to accomplish their long-term goals. This new information is truly wowing the hotel industry. We have the power to alter the direction of the hotel industry right now. Hotels can readily acquire cutting-edge features with our assistance. Companies can benefit from providing a wider variety of housing options to their clients. A significant change is about to occur in the hotel industry. Therefore, it makes sense to focus on the expanding tourism market. The aim of the present lobby makeover was to give an homage to the past. Enhancing the lobby's appearance can be accomplished quickly and easily by painting the walls a different color or adding new flooring, lighting, and fixtures. In my opinion, the foyer captures the essence of the structure. Knowing that the amenities will be available during the entry upgrades gives guests peace of mind.

Hotel renovation company
Like the rest of California, San Diego has seen a surge in the hotel sector in recent years. Like the rest of California, San Diego has seen an increase in mid-range and luxury hotels. This general contractor in San Diego serves lodging and tourism-related companies. The San Diego office's bottom line greatly depends on the hotel sector. We primarily concentrate on the greater San Diego region. The whole San Diego region, including its suburbs and downtown, is included in our service area.
Hotel renovation company
Understanding the needs of the owner and the hotel industry are essential for a successful repair. Should you choose a business without the requisite experience, things might not proceed as planned. If you stay hidden, your chances of surviving are much higher. If they are unable to suggest any excellent hotels in the vicinity, I would advise carrying on with your search. Not many applicants have brought up the company's culture. Only the most deserving individuals from around the globe are asked to join exclusive groups. Many things are going to happen.
Our versatility enables us to collaborate with any international hotel brand. We think that if we implement our approach, we will be better able to capitalize on unforeseen opportunities. There are many different service providers, and they are all essentially the same. Everything is handled by us, including insurance claims, maintenance, and building. Numerous examples demonstrate their worth. It would be useless to list all that we have accomplished. Greython Construction's stellar reputation is primarily due to the dedication and expertise of its workforce. Overall, these initiatives have also produced encouraging outcomes. We promise that every single one of our guests will be treated with the utmost care and respect due to the extensive expertise and training of our staff in the hospitality field. We are equipped to handle any issue that may arise during hotel construction or renovation. hotel refurbishment business As more and more businesses—both old and new—invest in renovations, the demand for hotel services has increased dramatically. Their distinct perspectives would be beneficial for both conventional and unconventional methods of hotel maintenance. They switch between the two environments with ease. To keep up with the growing demand, an increasing number of hotel constructions are underway. The main cause is the rise in demand for their services in both the public and private sectors. One factor is the closeness to many five-star hotels. There should be a crew member on board with experience building or renovating hotels. Due to their larger life experience base, older individuals are more capable of handling challenging activities. This is primarily due to how versatile their skills are. I am more than capable of transferring my knowledge from one environment to another.
A peaceful environment perfect for unwinding could be in store for guests at the Greython Hotel. Do not be afraid to stop by if you're having a bad day. Most likely, you are in the ideal location. The elegant dining rooms of the Greython are perfect for a formal event such as this one.
The hotel's construction team has been stressing how important it is to finish the renovations before the busy season starts. Please get in touch with us if you need any more information on the construction of a hotel or similar establishment. This is essential to the business's survival. Prosperous construction firms understand the importance of having a plan and following it. Greython will notify the hotel workers and guests of any updates pertaining to the renovations because of her experience in corporate administration. Since we are ready to adjust to shifting conditions and seize opportunities as they present themselves throughout the project, we have searched the company's database for relevant concepts. This is a result of our extensive background collaborating with companies in a variety of industries. We have so much spare time now that we can explore other interests. Because of our extensive knowledge and expertise, we have taken on difficult jobs and maximized fantastic chances. Our output will grow considerably if we mean what we say. We guarantee that every one of our clients will receive excellent service when using this strategy. Always maintain the faith of the building's original designers, architects, and owners. Without your constant support, we would not have been able to expand. Your capacity to accept these terms is crucial to the smooth operation of our business.
We provide hotel owners with our in-depth understanding of the construction sector, creative design concepts, and meticulous project management to assist them in reaching their long-term objectives. This will be welcomed by the hotel business. We can now control how the hotel business develops since we have the upper hand. We facilitate hotels' provision of contemporary amenities to visitors. Businesses gain by providing a greater selection of housing options to their clientele. The hospitality sector is going to undergo a radical transformation. Since the tourism industry is growing quickly, it makes sense to concentrate on fortifying ties with it. The organization's past and present were taken into account throughout the current lobby renovation. A different color for the walls or new flooring, fixtures, and lighting could be added to the lobby to modernize its decor. It's reasonable to presume that the entire building is agog if the lobby is. Although the entryway is currently being renovated, visitors won't experience any issues entering or leaving the facility as normal.

Hyundai Motor and Kia Corp Respond to Class-Action Lawsuit Over Car Theft: Compensation and Repairs Required
In May of this year, Hyundai Motor and Kia Corp settled on a consumer class-action lawsuit following an infamous influx in car theft. This settlement is worth over $200 million. [1] They claimed that compensation would go to vehicle owners “who incurred theft-related vehicle losses or damage in addition to reimbursement for insurance deductibles, increased insurance premiums, and other theft related losses.” [1] Even vehicles that cannot receive a technical upgrade were eligible for up to $300 in purchasing locks and other theft deterrents. [1]
In Kia’s official release, chief legal officer John Yoon stated: “Kia is very pleased that today’s announcement will allow customers who have been impacted by vehicle thefts to receive additional benefits... This agreement is the latest step in a series of important actions, in addition to providing a free security software upgrade and distributing over 65,000 steering wheel locks, that Kia has taken to help customers whose vehicles have been targeted by criminals using methods of theft popularized on social media. Kia remains committed to assisting our customers and upholding vehicle security.” [2]
In the case, major cities sued the company for the thefts and the danger the stolen vehicles pose, with some of the major victims hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Cleveland, Ohio, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and San Diego, California. [1] In the class action lawsuit, Keller Rohrback L.L.P. represented many of these cities, basing the case on the flaws in the stolen vehicles; in their case overview, they state: “The vehicles are easy to steal because of Defendants’ Hyundai Motor America’s (“Hyundai”) and Kia America, Inc.’s (“Kia”) deviation from industry norms and failure to install engine immobilizers in the majority of their vehicles manufactured for sale in the United States between 2011 and 2021.” [3] The summary states that these crimes and the danger to the public could have been prevented; “Defendants could have prevented this nuisance by including as standard engine immobilizers, parts that are inexpensive and significantly effective in reducing the rate of vehicle theft.” [3]
Tik Tok videos illustrating these crimes have been connected to at least fourteen car accidents and eight fatalities. [1] According to the official release, these types of cars have “historically low rates of theft.” [2] However, the “Kia Challenge” took advantage of the faulty security features, steering columns, and ability to access the ignition; the challenge then encouraged others to imitate the crime, despite Hyundai and Kia attempting to limit this “illicit content.” [2] With the lawsuit filed by Milwaukee in March, a group of attorneys led by Josh Kaul put pressure on the car companies to quickly combat the popular car thefts. In response, Hyundai Motor and Kia Corp were able to equip “turn-to-start" ignition vehicles with an “ignition kill” feature that overrides the methods used in social media trends. [4] The weakness in the design was also related to the easily accessible USB interface, meaning the thief only needed to take a few steps to insert a USB cable and start the car. According to the lawsuit, this can take “less than a minute.” [5] Furthermore, some of these car windows were allegedly not connected to the alarm system, allowing them to be broken without drawing attention to the crime. [5]
The auto manufacturer is on record saying they would extend an offer to upgrade 8.3 million vehicles with superior anti-theft measures following the influx of crime. [1] With the 2011-2012 model, their statement claims to have complied with requirements; “While Hyundai and Kia believe these vehicles are fully compliant with federal anti-theft requirements, Hyundai and Kia have taken action to support the security of customers, and this agreement represents the latest step.” [2] These software upgrades and financial compensation are expected to limit future crimes as much as possible.
Following the decision in May, attorney Elizabeth A. Fegan of Fegan Scott said: “Hyundai and Kia failed to sell cars equipped with fundamental anti-theft features, and that was not a victimless act...We are pleased with the settlement reached and its immediate ability to hinder thieves, as well as compensate victims of thefts that have already occurred.” [6] The proposed settlement was set to be reviewed and implemented by July of this year. [6]
In the future, Jason Erb, the chief legal officer, said: “Customer security remains a top priority, and we’re committed to continuing software upgrade installations and steering wheel lock distribution to help prevent thefts and offering insurance options through AAA for those who have had difficulty securing and sustaining coverage.” [4] However, stolen Kia and Hyundia vehicles remain a problem across the country. In Flagler County, the sheriff recommends caution and the implementation of the software update as soon as possible. Sheriff Rick Staly said: “I urge Hyundai and Kia owners to contact their local auto dealer or call the toll-free numbers to obtain the software update to protect your vehicles from thieves... We have had these cars stolen locally and have recovered stolen Kias and Hyundais from other jurisdictions in Flagler County. We also encourage you to purchase a steering wheel lock bar and use it every time you leave your car. And remember, never leave your keys in your car.” [7] While car theft remains an issue, Kia and Hyundai look to offer solutions to the flaws in these cars; however, caution is still necessary. As of August, Hyundai Group faces another lawsuit over a fire hazard in some vehicles.
