Jack and his parents, Lizzie and Prynce, have now received Overworld Sprites for their Designs in the Storisets!

Lizzie is Jack’s mother and the owner of Homeland's very own Mother Deetz-Proclaimed 'tacky toy shop'!

She has a good relationship with Kris and shares the same mole on her face as them, which was chosen because of Kris and Queen's dynamic in Chapter 2 of Deltarune, and because of how Queen appears to have one because of a mistake in her Talksprites.

Prynce is Jack's Father, and the leader of the %$#@-Ups Bullying Squad, where Susie ACTs as his sidekick!

Prynce will likely appear in the Storisets during ACTs 2 and 4, with an appearance based on snapping turtles and English royalty, as well as an older piece of SwilTaett Fanart made by @pobthesecond (which was actually made for Jack's Design before his changed name was even revealed).

Jack's and Prynce's Developments are both somewhat connected to Susie, with her leaving the %$#@-Ups (which she's chooses to do after seeing ACT 2's Storiset) being a very important decision which affects all three Cast Members.

Jack now feels like he's able to trust Susie more after she stops associating with Prynce, who instead decides to blame the consequences on Susie, which I also made a drawn representation beforehand of to help with writing Prynce and Lizzie.

Whereas Lizzie will have a more comedic role attempting to balance the negativity of SIERRA LESSE being under Matamoor's control and the effect that has on the ACT 4 StoriSOULs. Lizzie would likely sometimes enable Prynce to continue with his bullying tendencies because of her finding it funny when it happens to others, but she would never enable anything to happen to Jack.

I've been considering relationships more recently, and I've tried to explain my thoughts on what the dynamic between Prynce and Lizzie is like in that sort of context, with it being somewhat based on the interactions that they have in Chapter 2 of Deltarune through the nicknames they use and how King is quick to assume that Queen was being sarcastic about his hamster wheel!

Hi first off this blog is awesome and I think this is such a cool idea. Secondly we just found out about a new subsystem of fragments and we need some help with their names and such.

It’s a Kpop/Idol group each one based on different colours of the rainbow. (Including light and dark of each colour) would it be okay to ask this all in the one ask or would you prefer separate asks for each? They’re still undecided on gender so any for names and pronouns would be fine.

This is my plea for more Mary historians to use different sources that tell us something interesting (and make them more widely known!)

Picture me, trying to find out how many Masses Mary said daily and illegally in Edward's reign for my novel. I type it into google books, and find an extract from a book which sounds promising:

But the page number lets me know where to look on springer.com. Which, I also can't read it there but it gives me the reference at least:

Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Tanner 90, f. 157r. For lay attendance at the Divine Office, see Nicholas Orme, Going to church in medieval England (New Haven: Yale University Press, 2021), 231–33.

So when I search for it, MS Tanner 90 is titled:

"Letters and papers relating to affairs of state during the reigns of Henry VIII., Edward VI. and Queen Mary, bulk: 16th-17th century"

and folio 157 specifically is named:

"The establishments and good ordynauncis made for the good rule of the houshold of the ryght honorabill and most excellent prynces the lady Maryes grace", 1 Feb 1549."

which I have never heard of. No Mary focused book or scholar have ever seemed to mention it? After a few minutes of googling I finally managed to find out Mary Anne Everett Wood mentioned it!

26th August 1565 saw Mary Queen of Scots lead an army out of Edinburgh to suppress a rebellion led by her half brother James Stewart.

This was all today with Mary's decision to Marry Lord Darnley, Moray, who was strongly opposed to Henry Stuart’s family, decided to rebel against Mary. He was joined by Archibald Campbell, 5th Earl of Argyll and James Hamilton, Duke of Châtellerault in March 1565.

With strong support and an army of 5000 men, Mary was determined to pursue the rebels. It turned into a "Chase about" Scotland, hence the name it was given Chaseabout Raid.

The rebels gathered in Ayrshire. Mary set out from Holyroodhouse to Linlithgow and Stirling on 26 August 1565 to move to Glasgow and confront them. Her cannon followed, brought by John Chisholm, who had obtained funds from the Burgh of Edinburgh after Mary promised the town rights over Leith. The treasurer of the Scottish exchequer, John Wishart of Pitarro, had sided with the rebellion and was replaced by William Murray of Tullibardine. The Provost of Edinburgh was also removed and Simon Preston of Craigmillar, a friend of Mary put in his place. William Murray's lands were raided by Highlanders. On 31 August, Moray and his supporters arrived in Edinburgh, this is where the chase thing comes into it The rebel lords left Edinburgh. Mary came back to Edinburgh in early September and retired to Stirling, then back to Glasgow. Moray's supporters retreated to Dumfries.

The rebels had really little support Moray and his supporters numbered between 1,000 or 1,200 men and as a result they could not seize power. They waited in Dumfries for Elizabeth I to send help. She refused to give it as it may have set a precedent for nobles within England to turn against their monarch. The rebellion was over

The rebels crossed the border at Carlisle, then made their way to Newcastle upon Tyne. Moray decided to go to London, and got as far as Royston in Hertfordshire, until he received a letter from Elizabeth I of England to stop as he was not invited and a rebel against his own queen. He was then brought to Westminster on 23 October 1565 to explain himself to Elizabeth and the French ambassadors.

Elizabeth said to him that "itt were no Prince's part to think well of your doinges, ... and, she wolde putt allso her helping hande too make them to understand the dutye which the subject owght to bear towarddes the Prynce." Moray declared he had not intended anything to the danger of Mary's person.

Moray stayed in England at Newcastle over the winter and returned to Scotland on 10 March 1566. Mary had summoned him for trial, and David Rizzio had just been murdered. Moray was reconciled with Mary and back on the Scottish Privy Council by 29 April 1566.

You wonder why Mary pardoned Moray, but he was her half brother and with Rizzio's murder she must have been thinking, she should have listened to him in the first place?

Just another chapter in the complexities of Mary's time trying to rule her Country.in a world dominated by men and religious zealots.
