LIONROSE 🌹💐 (Leophantasma Floralis) or Xóchimiztli
"An unusual parasitism between a flower and a lion that evolved into an undead-like species. The Lionrose displays a beautiful mane akin to dahlia petals varying in color but in usual red whereas the rest of the body has a more ghostly appearance and properties. The cubs resemble rose buds and once they ‘bloom’ the skull becomes visible. Unlike their lion counterparts they don't show any sexual dimorphism and if anything have a more hermaphroditic approach like flowers. They are known to be able to phase through objects and some rumors even suggest other realms, adding to their mythicism.
They are astute hunters and usually live in small groups. Instead of relying on photosynthesis this parasitic species steals nutrients from other plants and living beings employing their root-like tendrils. Their beauty and ferocity has made them known and valuable across the land, for many folk wish to acquire their petals even if it is a deadly task."
One of my favourite personal designs so far!

Summary: Ken has taken over Barbieland. When Barbie get's desperate for her dreamhouse she turns to you for help. When Ken and you meet each other again, he hadn't forgotten about you. Never being able to get you out of his head. [ read part 1 & part 3 & part 4]
Tumblr media
“I took the lead for once.” – Ken bragged as the other Ken’s sat in front of him. Pulled in by his story. – “She even asked me to stay over.” – he said sounding cool. – “No way.” – one of the Ken’s said. – “Way.” – Ken replied with a nod. One of the Ken’s scoffed with a puff. Ken turned his head to him. – “You don’t believe me?” – Ken asked a bit bitsy. The other Ken placed his hand on his thigh, leaning a bit closer. – “What about Barbie?” – he answered cocky. Ken flexed his muscles, moving his arm up.
“What about her?” – he replied trying to sound unbothered. A few Ken’s eyes widened. Then there was a loud voice. Calling out his name from below. – “KEN!” – the voice cried out clearly frustrated. Ken held his finger up to the Kens, moving a bit closer to the edge to see who was below. It was Barbie standing at his door. – “A moment Kens.” – he commented as if it didn’t bother him.
Ken got down, pushing the barn doors open, letting his arms rest on them. – “What up Barbie.” – he told her cooly. Barbie moved some hair over her shoulder, putting on a sweet smile. – “Ken, this is my dreamhouse.” – she said trying to keep her composure. Ken took in a deep breath. – “This shall hence forth be known as Ken’s mojo dojo casa house.” – he responded.
“This is my dreamhouse!” – Barbie shouted with a stomp of her heel on the ground. Ken chuckled out a laugh so dryly it wasn’t even an attempt of being funny. – “It’s Ken’s mojo dojo casa house.” – he repeated. Barbie wiggled annoyingly like a whiney little child. – “It’s time for the Ken’s to have a dreamhouse Barbie.” – Ken told her. He waved her away, wanting her off his property. Barbie stared in shock at him as Ken returned back inside.
She felt like crying if only she knew what the emotion was. Angry at Ken, she had used up her last attempt. Ever since they came back from the real world, he had been different. Taking over Barbieland to turn it into Kendom. A place where the Ken’s took everything from the Barbie’s. Barbie was at her last wits, letting herself fall into the sofa at weird Barbie’s house.
Weird Barbie stretched her leg up against the wall, tilting her head. – “I assume Ken didn’t listen.” – she said moving her head back and lowering her leg. Barbie shook her head. – “I don’t know what to do anymore. I want my dreamhouse back.” – she whined out wiggling her legs with a shake of her shoulders.
Weird Barbie did a split on the ground, bringing one leg forwards so she had both her legs out in front of her. – “What about the real girl?” – Weird Barbie questioned. – “You mean Y/n?” – Barbie said through her distress. Weird Barbie got back up stretching her arms up above her head. – “Maybe he’ll listen to her?” – Weird Barbie suggested letting her arms flop against her side. Barbie blinked, her distress gone in a matter of seconds. – “You think so?” – she asked getting up. – “It’s worth a shot?” – Weird Barbie answered pulling her shoulders up.
Barbie ran up to Weird Barbie, grabbing her by the shoulders. – “If I can convince her to come here and tell Ken to stop, everything will get back to normal.” – Barbie exclaimed happily, squeezing Weird Barbie’s shoulders together. – “I guess so?” – Weird Barbie replied. – “I could get my dreamhouse back!” – Barbie pushed Weird Barbie away as she spun around, arms flapping till she came to a stop. – “She did do something silly with Ken where their lips touched.” – Barbie said clasping her hands together, already thinking about getting her dreamhouse back.
“You mean kiss?” – Weird Barbie answered scratching the back of her head. – “No silly.” – Barbie answered laughingly. – “There is no contact with a kiss.” – Barbie went on innocently. Weird Barbie held her finger up, wanting to contradict, but Barbie was so in the clouds with her head, it was no use.
Barbie waved Weird Barbie goodbye, going to leave for the real world again. This time there wasn’t Ken jumping on her from the backseat. It was just her and that song she sings her lungs out to leaving Barbieland… urhm… Kendom. Barbie went through sequences of phases before she entered the real world again on rollerblades. Everything was still the same when she left it.
Now she just needed to find you. She… she just didn’t know where you lived. Falling in one of her distress moments again she sat down whining about how she was ever going to find you. As if a miracle was spoken out, you found her. You furrowed your brows seeing the so obvious pink blondie on a spot you first found Ken as well. You decided to walk up to her. – “Barbie?” – you said confused.
Barbie looked up, bringing up a grant smile. – “Y/n!” – she exclaimed getting up and wrapping her arms around you. – “I found you!” – she said aloud making you a bit wary of Barbie’s sudden affection towards you. – “Is… is Ken here too?” – you questioned looking around over her shoulder. – “No, but you are going to save Barbieland!” – she said cheerful still holding your hands.
“I’m doing what?” – you replied shocked and caught off guard. Barbie squealed excitedly, her eyes falling on your shoes. – “We’ll first need rollerblades.” – she pointed out, making your eyes widen. – “Not again!” – you called out being pulled along with her. Before you knew it you were in rollerblades. Arms wide open, you were afraid to make a move. – “I don’t like this.” – you told her remembering last time. – “No complaining, I need my dreamhouse.” – Barbie said, grabbing you by the wrist.
You screamed it out when she started skating, pulling you along with her. It seemed like she was skating without any purpose or destination. With the blink of your eyes, you were suddenly on a snowmobile behind Barbie. – “What is this?” – you asked looking confused around. – “The way to Barbieland silly.” – Barbie answered. It felt like the skimobile wasn’t going forwards but within a matter of moments, the scenery had changed again.
You sat confused in a chair on a camping site as Barbie arrived with an empty plate. – “What is going on?” – you called out slightly panicking as you grabbed onto the chair’s leaning. Barbie joined you, sitting down as well. – “Ken has taken over Barbieland.” – she told you. You stared confused back at her. With the blink of an eye sat you on a two-bike with Barbie. – “He won’t listen to me, so I’m using you.” – Barbie spoke sitting in the front. Looking around you suddenly sat on a rocket with a helmet on.
“Tell Ken to stop and give me back my dreamhouse.” – Barbie told you over her shoulder. You heard a bird caw as you suddenly were in a boat with her. Grabbing the edge, you looked down at the fakest waves you had ever seen. – “You’ll bring everything back to normal.” – she told you with a smile. The boat made way for a pink car as you sat beside her. Feeling a bit awkward. Barbie sang along with the song on the radio as you kept quiet.
You rather inspected the toy car that seemed to almost drive on it’s own. In the distance you saw a big sign covering over with Kendom written on it. – “See!” – Barbie called out, gesturing at it. The car drove past some men, placing bricks on stacks. – “They are building a wall.” – Barbie told you as you kept looking at them even when passed. Not at all how one would build a wall.
Pinching yourself, you hoped you weren’t tripping for it sure felt like it. The pink car drove into the town as you had imagined it a lot pinker. You drove past the beach, hoping to spot Ken there, yet there was no sign of him. The car drove on till it stopped in a small neighbourhood. Barbie got out as you followed her still trying to process what was going on.
Barbie walked up to the house as you staid behind her. Looking curiously around. – “Ken!” – she called out sweetly. Not a moment later opened the barn doors with Ken appearing. – “Barbie.” – he said cooly. – “Ken.” – Barbie said sugary with a sweet smile. – “Can I have my dreamhouse back?” – she asked with a flirty look. Ken chuckled dryly looking away. – “It’s Ken’s mojo dojo casa house.” – he told her annoying her. – “Fine!” – Barbie let out stepping aside to reveal you.
You were still looking curious around till you noticed Barbie had moved. Your gaze falling on Ken. Ken’s eyes widened seeing you. – “Y/n!” – he said excitedly. Smiling boyishly. – “Hi Ken.” – you responded. Ken cleared his throat, changing his attitude. He moved his bare arm up, flexing his muscles at you. – “What are you doing here?” – he asked checking out his own muscles and hoping you were looking at them.
Barbie gave you a little shove forwards, desperate for her dreamhouse. – “I wanted to talk to you. Can I come in?” – you asked. Ken inhaled deep looking over his shoulder. – “It’s boy’s night.” – he told you. – “Can’t you make an exception?” – you answered sweetly. – “One moment.” – Ken held his finger up, disappearing behind the corner. You got startled when he let out a scream off excitement. He then re-appeared all cooly.
“Sure.” – he opened one side for you. You ducked down under his arm, going inside. Barbie wanted to go after you as Ken blocked her way.  – “Not you.” – he said ushering her away. Barbie gasped in shock. Ken turned around leaving Barbie outside. You had entered the house more as you were greeted with many curious men sitting in the living. All turned around to look at you. You presumed they were Ken’s as well, moving your hand up in a greeting.
“Hi Kens.” – you said. Ken came by your side, gesturing at you to make other Ken jealous. – “Hi Y/n!” – all the Ken’s said in unison. Startling you that they knew off you. – “It’s boy’s night.” – one of the Ken’s said. Ken placed his hands on your shoulders. – “Y/n is an exception. She came all the way from the real world to see me.” – he told them.
The moment he said that all the Ken’s came over. Jumping over the sofa to get to you. Some started to poke you in your cheek to feel if you were truly real. Others tried to win you over with their masculinity. It was overwhelming as you felt like being absorbed by Ken’s. Ken waved his hand in front of you, battering the other Ken’s away.  – “Get your own real girl!” – he called out, claiming you as his. Not liking the idea he needed to share you, he grabbed you by your wrist, pulling you upstairs.
Exhausted he sighed loud free from the Ken’s. You stood a bit lost, feeling a bit nervous. It has been a while since you saw Ken. Unable to stop thinking about him and now you were here with him where he lived. Ken’s gaze fell upon you, softening his expression. He walked up to you, taking your hand gently in his. His eyes staring lovingly at you. His cool attitude from earlier fading away. – “I’ve missed you.” – you said gazing lovingly back at him. Ken smiled at that.
He led you further into the room letting you sit down. – “After I left… I couldn’t get you out of my head.” – he told you. – “It’s like I’m thinking more about you than Barbie.” – he confessed, frowning a bit. You smiled shyly as your reaction made Ken wink at you. – “Ken… you should be thinking about Barbie. You are boyfriend and girlfriend.” – you told him, knowing how deep a Ken’s love was for a Barbie. – “But I don’t want to.” – Ken answered holding both your hands now. You exhaled deep, getting up as your hands slipped out of his. Ken looked saddened and hurt at your back.
“What did you do to Barbieland?” – you asked changing the subject. – “It was time for the Ken’s to take over once I found out about patriarchy. It’s where men and horses run the world.” – Ken explained. – “That is not what…” – you started turning half back to him to explain. – “I know. I lost interest in it once I found out it wasn’t like that.” – he interrupted you. His answer made you chuckle softly at how innocent he was. Hearing you laugh made Ken curl up a saddened smile.
Ken got up as well, approaching you. When he touched your elbow, you slowly turned around to him. His eyes telling you all. He had missed you desperately. As you had missed him. – “Ken…” – you started yearning so much for him. Heart breaking again that you had to leave him again soon. – “I’ll give Barbie back her dreamhouse.” – he simply answered. You nodded letting him know it was the right call. – “and restore Barbieland.” – he said with soft sigh, knowing how it used to be. But maybe things could be different.
Ken’s eyes widened looking at you. He pulled you closer to the centre. Leaving you standing, he rushed to go get his guitar. – “I’ll serenade to you.” – knowing how much you liked that. – “Ken…” – you said knowing he was trying to stall time. – “Or I can show you the beach? I’m really good at beach.” – he chuckled out nervously. Ken laid his guitar away looking desperately around for more ways to keep you around.
“I’ll teach you to skate? We can hold hands. Do that thing again you did with your lips.” – he kept suggesting, getting more desperate by each one. – “Ken.” – you said knowing you couldn’t stay here. You simply came here to restore Barbieland and then leave again. Interesting that it took but a few words of yours for him to restore it. You weren’t meant to stay here. You weren’t meant to fall in love with Ken.
It had always been Barbie and Ken. Never Ken and Y/n. Things like that didn’t exist. Ken grabbed your hands, dropping in despair to his knees. – “I don’t want you to leave.” – he begged. – “You have Barbie.” – you told him with a heavy heart. – “I don’t want her. I want you!” – Ken called out. – “Please…” – he pleaded unable to tear himself away from you. – “Ken, you know I can’t stay here.” – you explained to him.
Ken got up to his feet, ready to do anything to have you longer. – “Am I not worth fighting for?” – he asked with a saddened face. Touching his cheek, you made him look at you. – “You so are Ken.” – you whispered to him. – “More than anything. But I can’t stay here. I’m no Barbie.” – you explained him again.
Ken clamped himself onto you. – “I don’t want you to leave. I don’t want to miss you again.” – he said feeling miserable without you by his side. Ken’s eyes met up with yours, seeing the desperation in them. – “Please…” – he whispered, begging you one last time. A tear rolled down your cheek as Ken wiped it away. – “I wish I could… but  I can’t…” – you told him. Ken placed his hand behind your neck, pushing you closer.
Continue to bring you closer till he felt his lips come in contact with yours. Something he had never done with Barbie. You slowly pulled away as Ken wanted to have another go. Feel your lips on his again. – “Ken…” – you said putting him to a stop. You turned away from him, making your way to the stairs. Ken was panting. Feeling you slip away. – “I’ll come with you!” – he suddenly shouted, making you stop to stare with wide eyes at him.

Related plants: A member of the daisy family Asteraceae that consists of over 32,000 known species of flowering plants in over 1,900 genera within it such as chamomile, coneflowers, dahlia, daisy, dandelion, goldenrod, lettuce, marigold & sunflower
Parts used: Leaves & flowers
Habitat & cultivation: Common mugwort is native to Europe and Eastern Asia. Mugwort was brought into North America as early as the 1600’s for medicinal purposes. It spread throughout the Northeastern U.S. as a contaminant on ships and nurseries.
Plant type: Perennial
Region: 3-8
Harvest: The flowering tops of mugwort should be collected once they bloom or right before the blooms open. The leaves of mugwort plants should be collected before the plant flowers. Older leaves & flowers are significantly more bitter
Planting tips: Mugwort seeds can benefit from a special 1 to 2 week treatment called cold moist stratification prior to planting them & need cold weather to break down germination inhibitors. The seeds require light to germinate, so be careful not to cover them when planting. Mugwort does not like to be overwatered & is very drought tolerant. It is also an invasive weed & best kept in a container.
Medicinal information: Historically mugwort has been used in traditional systems of medicine in different parts of the world. Today, mugwort taken orally is promoted for digestive problems, irregular menstruation, and high blood pressure. It is also promoted as a sedative, laxative, anti-inflammatory & liver tonic. Mugwort lotion applied topically can aid in itching caused by hypertrophic scars & When being smoked, it exhibits mild intoxicating properties & strong relaxing properties.
Cautions: Mugwort should not be taken by pregnant people because it may start menstruation and cause the uterus to contract. Little is known about whether it’s safe to use mugwort while chestfeeding. Mugwort might cause an allergic reaction in people with pollen sensitivities

Your wedding to Diluc Ragnvindr is a quiet affair. You were pawned off to him long ago, a promise made by your father to Diluc’s father — Crepus, now dead and buried and most likely bones in a splintered wood coffin. Your father, the overseer of Dorman Port and a close friend of Varka sought to continue his family's high status by ensuring you marry the next Ragnvindr and Crepus — quite honestly — was afraid his socially awkward and overall avoidant son would end up rotting alone. You were informed of this arrangement when you were 18, when you longingly asked your mother what it was like when she fell in love with your father, and wondered out loud when you would experience the same. You watched her falter, before she drew her lips in a thin line, closed the book she was reading and told you carefully that you were already promised to someone else.  You met him for the first time shortly after, under the willow tree at the edge of your property. Neither one of you said much, and you silently stole glances at him the entire time; drinking in his moonlight colored skin and his red hair cascading down his shoulders. He smiled at you the one time he caught you — thin lipped, polite, with no telling what he actually thought about you.  Shortly after, Crepus died, and the respectable man you were meant to marry left the Knights of Favonius and disappeared somewhere. No one knew where he went, and no one could tell you anything about it. He returned home 4 years later, much to the town's joy and began to throw himself into managing a winery instead. He had no time to plan a wedding, and no time to learn how to love a wife. So you waited, and waited, and waited for 2 years. When his respectable reputation was built back up, you received an invitation to your own wedding. You stand silently across from him, listening to the minister dryly read off vows, while you dutifully repeat when you’re told to do so. Diluc does as well, voice ringing out as clear as a mourning dove and echoing off the stone walls. Your hands clasp tighter around your bouquet, channeling your nervousness into bright pink dahlias. You don’t even realize when he angles his face down to kiss you, pausing momentarily — red eyes meeting yours — in a silent way of asking for consent. You nod, and his lips press to yours. It’s about as intimate as a first kiss can be when you share it in a room full of people. It’s not what you imagine it would be, it’s more of a pressing of his lips against yours. Chaste and quick. It’s over before you can realize it happened.  Your family and friends in the cathedral clap and all it is is roaring in your ears; meaningless noise because all you can focus on is the fabric of Diluc’s suit on your skin and his arm interlinks with yours. He walks with you out of the cathedral, his strides much longer than yours and you struggle to keep up. He doesn’t even look at you as he walks; eyes fixed firmly ahead of him.

Hannibal Lecter x Will's daughter X Will Graham
Tumblr media
Summary: Will was supposed to help Jack with killing Hannibal, but he arrived too late and with him, his daughter, Y/n.... (s2e13)
-> This one is filled with angst, but i realised that's just what i am good at :) I am open to any criticism (be nice pls).
I just wanted to say that I am not the owner of this show, but I did make this story, so don't copy it without my knowledge, thank you.
Tumblr media
When Alana called about the warrant, Will didn't panic. He told Y/n to go downstairs, urging her to turn off the lights and grab a jacket. And as the police headlights came through the windows, they ducked and crawled on all fours to the back door, Will grabbing his gun. Outside, hidden in the darkness, they ran across their property, stopping on a road. The rain soaked their clothes, though at least the ground wasn't muddy, otherwise they'd be easy to track. A taxi pulled up and Will gave him an address.
"Hannibal Lecter's house? Why are we going from one danger to another?" Y/n asked, much rather preferring a McDonald's or a cinema.
"Because Jack will be there, and right now nowhere is safe," her father whispered, looking out the window, "and maybe it's the only address I know."
"That's probably it. What are we going to do then? Have a cup of tea with him and chat with Hannibal?" she sarcastically teased.
"I gave him time to leave, nothing should happen".
Y/N wasn't so sure.
----●----●----●----
When they got off, her father couldn't have been more wrong. Alana laid there, glass broken, rain rinsing blood from her hair. She seemed dead, just the twitching from shock making her shoulders move up and down.
"Alana!" Will rushed to her and wrapped her in his coat.
Y/n made note of her surroundings. The front door opened, all sorts of wet footsteps on the carpet, the second floor window busted. And a bloody burgundy dahlia looking at her from a pot near the entrance.
"Betrayal," she hummed, crouching down beside Alana.
Will looked at her as if she was crazy. He had just called the ambulance and left Alana his phone.
"The flowers," Y/n pointed out, "I guess he's inside.”
"Jack's there too," Alana choked out.
Y/N was surprised, she thought Alana's rib cage was too damaged to speak, but Alana proved her wrong. Will nodded and stood up, his gun in both hands. Y/n stayed a little longer, not caring that her hair was now sticking to her ears and causing her to feel cold.
----●----●----●----
As she opened the door to the kitchen, the smell of blood hit her. There were knives, plates and glass everywhere, two pairs of shoes standing in the midst of it all. As she looked up, Hannibal's silhouette greeted her.
"You were supposed to leave!" Will was standing in front of him.
"I couldn't leave without you two," Hannibal said affectionately.
Y/n did not know who 'you two' meant, but had a hunch that it included her. Strangely, Hannibal didn't even spare her a look, placing his palm on Will's cheek as if to caress it. They both had such an intense gaze, the sexual tension almost making Y/n turn around to give them some privacy. The scenery looked like a theater piece, a tragedy at that. They dove into their world, where she didn't exist and where they spoke in a different language, or maybe she just lost her hearing from how loud her heart was beating.  Either way, Y/n wanted to separate them, to drag her dad back to their house, back to their dogs.
She did not see the knife coming from her point of view. Her father simply yelped and took a step forward, crashing into Hannibal's arms. This wasn't real, no. Hannibal would never hurt Will, he was like the other half of his soul, she lied to herself. But there was a red stain on his shirt and when Hannibal embraced him, the weapon remained in his hand, as if to mock them. Y/n stood motionless, no sound could break through her frozen vocal chords. She never thought this would happen, her chest tightening and her eyes filling with tears of pure terror.
The impact of Will's body aligned with her first fallen tear. His body fell directly into a pool of Jack's blood, his pants soaking it up. A few droplets of their mixed blood landed on her shoe, ruining her white trainers. Y/n swallowed nauseously, not daring to look into her fathers eyes.
Hannibal leaned forward, his crescent-shaped blade back on the counter.
"I have let you know me, see me," Hannibal paused as Will struggled to breathe, "I gave you a rare gift, but you didn't want it.”
"Didn't I?" Will insisted heartbroken, his eyebrows knitted tightly together. He seemed distressed, but more than anything, he was furious.
Y/n shut herself off, not wanting to remember her father so frail, choosing to merely listen. And when she heard Hannibal mention the shattered teacup again, something in her snapped. She opened her pocket knife behind her back, using it for the first time since she bought it after the encounter with Tobias. Her fight-or-flight instinct flipped a coin and settled on fight. In a blink of an eye, she was standing behind Hannibal, her knife placed just under his jaw.
Y/n had no idea what she was doing. Her mind told her to end it, to be free at last. But her heart knew that was not possible, not in this life. She couldn't stop shaking, so she applied more force, making him bleed a little.  Will sucked in his breath, not quite understanding what was going on as this was out of character for her.
"We are not a shattered teacup. You can't glue us back together and pretend like nothing happened," Y/n croaked in his ear, her voice high-pitched.
The blade suddenly twitched as a chuckle erupted from Hannibal’s chest.
"No, you certainly are not just a piece of pottery, but you are indeed fragile."
“You should have left when Will told you to. Instead you slaughtered them all, rightfully or not, whether you believe in God or not. There is no excuse for that,” Y/n hissed, her disappointment in him turning her words bitter.
"I should have seen it coming…you made us so blind," her disappointment in herself turning her words sour.
Alana's happy face when she gave her a handmade sweater, or Jack and Bella's Christmas party, it was all over. Her bright future turned dim.
"I just wanted us to be a family. Why," she sobbed, a big droplet falling on the floor, "why can't I have a genuine family for once?"
----●----●----●----
Taking advantage of her state of mind, Hannibal grabbed her hand, pulling the knife away from his throat and spinning her around. He took her face in his palms, making her look at him. Y/n had teardrops on her chin, red spots on her irritated skin, her lips chapped and her eyelashes littered with fresh tears. He wiped them away so she had a clear view of him. However, he was no better, his normally perfectly sleek bangs were now messy, blood on his collar and some drying under his nose. He was bruised and in pain, yet he still looked like the most charismatic man she had ever seen. A charismatic man that attempted to erase her father's existence.
"You don't get to start over after what you've just done, that's not fair!” she tried to wriggle out of his grip, “You hurt Will and you broke my trust. What do you expect us to do?"
"Nothing, such is life. Don't fight it, let it all go."
Y/n raised her eyebrows in disbelief, a single tear running down her cheek. By now she could care less about having a weapon on her side, she felt she had already lost.
"'And what if I don't want to let it go, to forget or forgive?"
"Then you lose yourself," Hannibal directed his gaze back to Will, "I forgive Will. Will he forgive me?"
"'Don't. No, no, no!" Will uttered for the first time after his collapse.
It broke his heart, but there was nothing to be done, his design was meant to be finished and everything had to go according to plan. He pried her knife from her slack hold, unbeknown to her.
"What are you tal-" Y/n's question couldn't be finished as she was silenced.
Her own knife, now in Hannibal's possession, was plunged blade deep into her side, almost identically to her father's. She yelped as she felt her muscles being torn apart, the stinging as Hannibal yanked it out causing her to choke. Her eyes opened wide as if trying to comprehend what was happening. The searing pain in her torso sent her to the ground, but it was the pain in her heart that made her burst out crying again, only this time it would not stop. Hannibal slowly lowered her down beside Will, splattering the tiles with her blood and tears like the rain would.
She shook, struggling to catch her breath. With one hand she pressed against her wound, with the other she found her father's hand and weakly squeezed it. She felt his cold fingers, the energy draining from his body.
"Dad," Y/n muffled her cries.
Will wanted to help her, to hold her and console her, but he'd been bleeding for so long he couldn't even open his mouth. He had no choice but to watch with half-closed eyes as the entire room bathed in red.
"You can make it all go away. Put your head back, close your eyes," Hannibal reached for Will's shoulder and met his eyes. "Wade into the quiet of the stream".
Y/n blinked at Hannibal for a second, but instead of a man, she saw a red horned monster with black dahlias sprouting from its eye sockets. So this was his true self, she realised.
“We were never meant to work, were we?” she clutched at Hannibal's trousers with her bloodied fingers.
There was a silence for a while, Will's labored breathing slowing and her own sniffles fading to silent tears. Hannibal knelt down and ruffled her wet hair.
And as her father closed his eyes, Hannibal asked her: "Will you forgive me?"
Y/n wanted to say no. She wanted to send him into the pond of burgundy ink as well, but her own mind said otherwise.
"'Maybe, if you promise to make us work."
He smiled and stood up, not looking at her again. As his footsteps faded away, Y/n's warm blood grew chilly and her eyes heavy. With her last strength she kissed her father's knuckles, her last tears streaming down her face.
----●----●----●----
She shed tears for how pitiful her ending was. And as her vision got blurrier, she bid farewell to her life.

the world (it burns through me)
Chapter 16: Sweetheart
Ao3 | 3.7k Words | Sweetheart's POV
Sweetheart thanks their lucky stars. Ben is sorry, for what it's worth. Quinn and Sweetheart share a dance. Colm picks up the phone. The 7-30 responds. It snows in Dahlia for the first time in ten years.
SPOILERS FOR THIS CHAPTER but I wanted to give a warning anyway: For those that don't recognize him immediately, Ben is Geordi's abusive ex in Redacted canon as well as the continuity of the FFAU. He's depicted in this chapter as one of Quinn's victims. This is not in an attempt to diminish, dismiss, or excuse his actions or the abuse he put Geordi through, but rather to explore the cycle of abuse and how victims can become abusers themselves. It's indicated that Quinn enjoys convincing his victims that they deserve their abuse, that they are just as bad as he is, and see them treat others the way that he treats him. I hope that this is received in the way it was intended rather than being considered dismissive of abuse victims.
TW: Discussions of past and current abuse, scars, past injury, blood and injury, mentions of firearms, taser, knife violence, fighting, mutilation, what could be considered torture, disturbing psychological and sexual themes, Quinn's bullshit.
You were really good at your job. That was the thought you kept repeating to yourself as the weeks ticked on, as December passed, as January raced by day by day and you were no closer to catching this fucking asshole than you had been when the case dropped into your lap. What was worse was you weren’t certain you’d be paid for all of this effort, and you weren’t certain you’d be comfortable with that even if it was offered. This was family being threatened, after all.
So you toiled away two months of time with which you could have been earning money on dead end after dead end.
You didn’t know much. What you did know wasn’t exactly helpful.
Quinn had roots in Dahlia, at least more than he had in most other places. His name was on a few plastic surgeon’s patient lists in L.A., he had a tattoo artist in Oregon he frequented, and his credit card history spoke of visits to clubs in nearly every college town on the western seaboard. He didn’t own any property, but people he knew did. An old girlfriend here, a friend from boarding school there, and all of them seemed to welcome him in like he was a fugitive to be quartered and protected.
He had a father. Mr. Fox was a wealthy man with a wealthy son. From what you could gather from his Wikipedia page and the about section of his company’s website, he was a touch eccentric, even when the category was billionaires. His company, Flux, was a health and wellness medical group that specialized in slowing the aging process. Mr. Fox himself had undergone countless procedures to slow his own aging, received regular blood transfusions from younger, healthier men, and, according to his pretentious YouTube channel, had a grueling morning routine that stretched into the late afternoon. Flux sold everything that promised to keep you young; vitamins, health foods, workout regimen, cryo chambers.
For all of his efforts, you had to admit that Mr. Fox did not look his age of fifty-six. Mostly he looked… alien. His skin was waxy and plastic, his musculature (which he loved to show off by appearing in every interview and picture that he could shirtless) was sculpted and perfect. He looked like a fucking Ken doll.
You weren’t surprised that a person like Quinn Fox came from extreme wealth. People who felt so entitled to what they wanted that they were willing to hurt and kill for it were often bred in an environment where they were never told ‘no.’
Mr. Fox didn’t answer your multiple emails inquiring about his son. When you came knocking on the doors of old friends and acquaintances, people shut down. Nobody knew him, nobody had heard the name, nobody had ever seen the man in the picture you shared. Nobody knew your firefighter either, even when their eyes flashed with fearful recognition.
So you counted your lucky fucking stars when you found him.
He was an old flame of Quinn’s, a fleeting interest of a few months that was discarded when a new toy came along. You ran into him while asking questions at one of Quinn’s old dives. As soon as he laid eyes on the picture you produced, you couldn’t mistake the look in his eyes for anything besides rage.
It was barely four, but Ben offered you a drink anyway. He was the bartender at one of the clubs in college town, a dingy, too-small space tucked under a piercing shop. You cast a weary look over the darkened dance floor and cracked leather booths. You could picture Quinn here, huddled in a corner, flirting with college kids barely old enough to get in, waited on hand and foot. It made you shiver.
“He’s a monster.” Ben growled, pouring himself a whiskey and you a club soda. You worried that you’d come home reeking of alcohol just from sitting at the bar. Ben was a big guy, tall too, and his nose was twisted in the same way Trouble’s was. You could see, if you squinted, a resemblance between them. Quinn’s compulsive need to prey on people who resembled them kept rearing its ugly head. “Drop it. You don’t wanna dance with him.”
“He’s threatening my client.” You cocked your head as Ben tossed the whiskey back. “I intend to put him behind bars.”
“His daddy will pay for him to get off.” Ben shrugged. He snagged a knife from behind the bar and started chopping limes, tossing the slices into a plastic container. Steady, consistent knife strokes. “It’s not worth your time.”
“I’ll take it into consideration.” You bit out. “How do you know him?” Ben’s eyes flicked to yours, dark and discerning for a long moment.
“He used to come here pretty often.” He shrugged. “He’s a good looking guy. I gave him a few free drinks, kept the bouncers off his case when he got too handsy with some of the drunk girls. He… appreciated my efforts.”
“Sexual favors?” You asked, pulling your notepad from your pocket and scribbling out some of the details. Ben snorted.
“Quinn don’t need sexual favors from anybody.” He said, face darkened. “What he wants, he takes. It just so happened that I wanted him too. We’ll call that serendipity.”
“How long was your relationship?” You asked. Ben sighed sharply.
“It wasn’t so much a relationship as…” he cocked his head to the side, choosing his words carefully. “Look, he’s… if he’s after your client or whatever, they probably deserve it. He doesn’t waste time on good people.”
“What do you mean?” You pushed, leaning forward.
“I mean that I’m not a nice guy.” Ben’s lips curled, flashed his teeth. “I mean that Quinn wouldn’t be into me if I was. He likes ugly people who do ugly things. Makes him feel just a bit better about what he does to us.”
“What did he do to you?” You asked.
Ben met your eye steadily for a long moment, as though he was waiting for a break in your curiosity, a sign of some sort that you wouldn’t be able to handle whatever it was he was going to show you. When he found none, he set down his knife and stepped back from the bar slightly, tugged the hem of his t-shirt out from his apron. He pulled it up just far enough to reveal his chest. You leaned forward as the raised lines of scars were exposed to the low light of the bar.
At first, you thought the cuts were random, slashes here and there, intersecting to cause the most pain. Then, you noticed the pattern.
They were all ‘Q’s, jagged and awkward, carved across Ben’s chest, the base of his throat, down his stomach. You swallowed and blinked away the memory of that ‘Q’ tattooed onto Trouble’s fucking face.
Same purpose, different method. Pain and ownership, meeting two of his desires at the same time.
“Can I take a picture of this?”
Ben reluctantly played model for you, turning to the left and right so you could snap pictures with your phone camera. Once you were satisfied and he reiterated that he had no idea where Quinn was, Ben walked you out the back. He lead you through the kitchen, up a rickety flight of stairs, and out of a swinging door to a back alley just off the main road. You turned, crunching cigarette butts under your boots, and offered Ben as solid of a smile as you could muster. Bad person or not, nobody deserved to be treated the way that Quinn treated his victims.
“I’m sorry.” Ben said as he held the back door open. There was no handle on the outside of it. “For what it’s worth.” You stared at him for a moment, as your body went tight and tense in your confusion.
You knew what it felt like to be stabbed. You’d experienced it once before as a teenager when someone had hit your bike with their car and part of its frame had impaled itself in your thigh. You’d been more upset about the bike than the stabbing at that time, but the pain of it was distant and dulled from the adrenaline. You didn’t have that luxury this time.
The knife tore into your stomach, not sharp enough to be an easy stab. It wasn’t long, maybe two or three inches, but it was certainly enough to zing pain up your spine as you bucked back into a broad, solid chest. An arm snaked around your middle, held your weight, as another pulled the knife out of your gut and wrapped firmly around your neck, tucking your throat into the crook of his elbow. He groaned, nose pressed into your hair, and laughed as you shook and smacked at him uselessly, tried desperately to get him the fuck off of you.
It was Quinn. You didn’t need to look up to confirm it, but you did anyway, just in time to watch him run his tongue along the blade, his eyes rolling back as he swallowed.
“Thank you, darling,” Quinn grinned at Ben as he flexed his arm around your throat, played with your airway like it was a stress ball. “Back inside, please.”
Ben looked away from you, eyes on the ground, as he let the heavy door swing closed. There was no handle on the outside. You’d have to get out to the street to get help.
“Now, Detective,” Quinn purred in your ear, “just what are we going to do with you?”
“You don’t plan to kill me?” You ground out around the pressure on your windpipe. “Mark me up like your other victims?”
“Oh, there’s an idea.” Quinn rocked back and forth, swayed you in an uncoordinated slow dance. Your stomach kept turning, but you didn’t know if that was disgust or internal bleeding. “But just how would you deliver my message if I did that?”
Enough of this shit. You strained against his arm hard enough to swing your elbow back into his stomach. He doubled over, coughing, and his arms loosened around you enough that you could slip out. You spun, hand falling to your belt, and pulled out your taser.
When you left the police academy, you knew that you didn’t want to carry a firearm. Just having one could put you in a lot of danger, and could put the people around you in even more danger. You weren’t likely to accidentally shoot someone, you were a very good shot, top of your class in marksmanship. But a lot could go wrong when dealing with assailants, especially if there were bystanders. You didn’t want to bring a firearm into the mix. You had to carry something, if not for your own peace of mind, then for Milo’s. You were no slouch at hand to hand combat, but you knew that relying on your fists was worse than bringing a knife to a gunfight. When you got your P.I. license, you bought a top of the line, police-grade taser gun.
When you discharged your taser, it struck Quinn clear in the chest, and the wires attached to your weapon pulsed with a charge. Quinn grunted, stepped back in shock as the pain hit him.
But he didn’t collapse. His muscles didn’t convulse. His eyes snapped up to you, clear and bright, as he grinned.
You turned your gun so you could see the switch on the side. You usually left it set to pulse mode, which delivered electric pulses and interrupted most people’s control of their muscle tension. Somehow, at the worst possible time it could have happened, you had set the gun to drive-stun, which encouraged compliance with pain.
But Quinn was the sort of guy who liked pain. He reached up, snagged the wires with his bare hand, and tore the barbs out of his chest.
“Fuck,” you breathed. You tossed your taser to the side. You didn’t have time to hesitate. You dashed towards him, ignored the tearing pain in your stomach, and rammed your fist up into his jaw. He was taller than you, probably stronger than you, but you could put up a hell of a fight when you needed to.
It was less of a fight and more of a quick, dirty tussle. You were bleeding and had made your wound worse by moving. You put all you had in your first few strikes, but that wasn’t enough. Quinn took them like they were nothing. Compared to what somebody like Trouble could do, you imagined it probably felt like it too.
Quinn took hit after hit, but gave them right back. You were already at a disadvantage, and one well placed hit to your gut had you on the ground. Your vision dotted with stars, your lips going numb as the blood loss started creeping up on you.
That was it. Your back was flat on the concrete, your breath stuttering as you struggled to draw in enough air to satisfy your shaking body. Quinn grunted and spat on the ground next to you. He swung a leg over your middle and straddled your hips, pressing one hand over your mouth as he grinned down at you, teeth lined with blood.
You struggled beneath him, but your body only had so much to give. Your movements were sluggish and uncoordinated, ineffective. Quinn batted away your attempts to hit him mindlessly, turning his knife in his hand.
“Let’s leave our message, hmm?”
You knew what it felt like for a knife to be dragged through your skin. You’d cut your hand while cooking before. But Quinn made an art out of it. He pulled the knife slowly, took his time, his blue eyes wide and drinking in every twist of your face, every sound that escaped you despite yourself. By the time he was done, his pale hands were covered in blood. You watched as he pressed his fingers into his mouth, sucking at them until the blood flecked away, left his skin stained between the lines of his tattoos.
“You make such a wonderful little victim.” Quinn smiled down at you. “I’d keep you if I didn’t need you to tell them something.” His smile cracked impossibly wider. Too many teeth, lips spread too far. Your head was spinning. “You tell them that this mark is their fault. You tell them that it was supposed to be theirs, but they sent you after me. Tell them that the next time they send somebody else to do their dirty work, they won’t walk away from me.” His hand trailed up your chest until he could grip your jaw in his crushing hold. “Do you understand?”
You stared up at him, eyes hazy, and spat in his fucking face.
Quinn barked out a ragged laugh and wiped at his face, collecting your blood and saliva on his hand. He ran his tongue over his palm, groaning obscenely as he stared down at you through his lashes.
You were going to be sick.
“Feisty little thing.” Quinn moaned. “Next time, I’ll have to see what it takes to break you.”
He stood, driving his boot into your side one last time as he began to walk away. You blinked hard as you watched him go, vision swimming and unsteady.
Your phone was in your coat pocket. You wormed your numbing fingers along your body until they brushed the cold metal of it.
You didn’t know why you called him. Really, you should have called 911, but back in November you’d made a promise. You didn’t make a habit of breaking them.
“Hey, kiddo,” Colm’s voice rumbled through the receiver. You swallowed heavily and tried to figure out what you wanted to say. Help me. He’s getting away. I need an ambulance. Tell Milo…
“Hey,” you managed, voice cracking. Your throat was so fucking dry.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Colm’s voice took on a panicked edge. “Where are you, kid? Are you okay?” You blinked up at the afternoon sky as it darkened with thick clouds. Something cold landed on your cheek.
“It’s snowing.” You breathed. It hadn’t snowed in Dahlia in ten years. It had been a remarkably cold winter, after all. You wondered if there would be enough snow to stick.
Colm responded, but his voice went weird in your ears, warping and buzzing. You closed your eyes. You were so fucking tired.
When you woke up, there were hands on you. You jerked, groaned as the skin on your stomach tugged and screamed out in pain. There was a warm, calloused hand on your forehead, pushing your curls back from your face, and another bracing your side. You forced your eyes to open.
It was Milo. You… you thought it was Milo. Your eyes wouldn’t focus, kept rolling to the back of your head as your eyelids fluttered. You huffed softly as his thumb traced over your brow to try and soothe you.
“I know, kiddo, I hear ya.” It wasn’t Milo. His voice wasn’t quite right. It was rasped from years of smoke. Milo didn’t touch cigarettes. Just the smell of them made him gag. He said that he had reeked of them for weeks after moving out of his parent’s apartment since Colm smoked about a pack a day-
“Colm,” you gasped, throat ragged. Your hand flailed until you could grasp on to his sleeve.
“I’m here,” he said softly, “I’m right here. There’s an ambulance coming, okay? You stay with me, you understand? My kid’ll kill me if I let you die.”
“‘m cold.” You managed, shifting slightly on the freezing concrete. Colm bent further over you, blotting out the dull light from the sliver of sky visible between the buildings. Snowflakes landed in his curls, pooled around his face like waves.
“I know, kid, hey, open your eyes. Keep those eyes on me.” He tapped your cheek hard enough to make your head spin, but it kept your eyes open. You watched as he took stock of your condition. Slowly, like he was afraid to really look, he pulled your coat back and gingerly peeled your blood-soaked shirt from your torn skin. “Jesus, Mary and Joseph.” He breathed. You watched as his eyes grew distant and his face went pale. Whatever Quinn had done to you, it made a veteran homicide detective go a bit green.
You heard sirens in the distance and you were suddenly struck with the fear that it could be the 10-19 responding. You didn’t want Milo to see you, not until there was a doctor standing over you telling him you’d be okay. You didn’t want to scare him.
The ambulance backed up into the alley, and two paramedics and a firefighter piled out. You recognized one of them, Bailey, as she hopped out of the back with a go bag on her shoulder. It was the 7-30 responding, then.
The7-20 was the sister house to the 10-19. Their jurisdictions were nestled against each other on the southwest corner of Dahlia. The two houses had better response times and success rates than any other in the city. Friendly competition broke out between them every once in a while, who could put out the most fires, respond to the most calls, shave down their response times the most in a given stretch of time. David always insisted that steel sharpened steel, and the 7-30 was the only house in town that even began to meet the 10-19’s standards.
“Colm,” the firefighter greeted as he knelt next to your head. You wracked your brain trying to remember his fucking name. “Ansel gave me a heads up about your call. Sorry to see you like this.” He looked down at you as he braced your head with his knees, practiced calm painting his posture as he smiled gently. You’d met him before, at least once or twice, at one of the house’s joint Christmas parties. He was a nice guy, steady and calm in a way that David sometimes struggled to be. “Hey, friend. I’m Greg, and this is Bailey. Stay still for me, okay? We’re gonna get you taken care of.”
You wanted to nod, but he wouldn’t let you. You blinked hard. Greg fastened a C-collar around your neck. Somebody pressed something into your stomach and you groaned, unable to force out the scream that pounded at the back of your throat. Colm cursed under his breath, a calloused hand slipping into yours.
You were loaded onto a backboard and then a gurney in quick succession. Somebody cut through your shirt to expose your stomach properly. Diodes were attached to your bloodied skin. You cried out as you were loaded into the ambulance and you thought you heard Colm yelling at somebody.
“Colm,” you managed as you blinked past the fluorescent lights of the ambulance. Greg and Bailey loaded into the back with you as the driver took off, full lights and sirens. That wasn’t a good sign. Colm shoved himself into one corner by your head, his hand falling to your forehead again, shaking and cold.
“I’m here, kid.” He said as Greg and Bailey started talking quickly over you. You focused all of your energy into getting out what you needed him to know. If you died in transport or on the table, Colm needed to know what happened.
“It was Quinn.” You croaked. “His… friend? Ben. Bartender in the- the fuck- the club. Victim. I- he told Quinn. He left me. Left me alive. On purpose.”
“Okay,” Colm said softly, “okay, easy. You can tell me all of this later, kiddo, save your breath.”
“No,” you snapped, pulled your arm out of Bailey’s grasp just as she brought an IV to the big vein in your hand. Adrenaline surged through you, probably for the last time. You had to make this count. You snatched the collar of Colm’s crumpled suit and pulled him close, probably with more strength than he was expecting. “Listen!” Tears escaped past your lashes. “Find Ben. He can… he’ll get you to Quinn.” You swallowed around the blood in your throat. “Tell Milo…”
“I know.” Colm said. He pressed a kiss to your brow. “I know. I’ll tell him.”
You closed your eyes.

Geordi’s House
Tumblr media
geordi lives on the outskirts of the suburbs of dahlia, in a poorer neighborhood since him and cutie separated. it’s not bad, but it definitely has some issues that he’s too scared to address himself or with the property owner. it’s 1 bed/1 bath it’s basically a studio apartment
Tumblr media Tumblr media
bachelor pad central. messy everything. he’s also just not in the best mental state (who is amiright?). if he was a different person, there’d be a full ash tray and a bong on the bedside table. as it stands, there’s plastic water bottles at varying degrees of fullness (and edible wrappers)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
desk doesn’t fit in his room so he keeps it in the living room by the window in some sort of attempt to get more sunlight and fresh air. on his off days he’ll spend hours playing the sims on his computer in the living room with tea that’s long since gone cold
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there really no space for anything. if there’s laundry at all it’s in the bathroom, otherwise he’s lugging all his laundry a couple streets over to the overpriced laundry mat (the owner is an asshole, too)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you think this mess of a man is having guests anytime soon? he has one of everything but when he’s extra not doing well he uses paper plates and plastic silverware. he has one reusable water bottle that he bought in 2019 and it’s the two of them against the world
Tumblr media
color palette!!
taglist and pinterest board under the cut <3

So I went hiking yesterday and climbed on some old lime factory ruins and saw some graffiti. (Lots of it actually.)
So here's what I think the redacted characters would graffiti (if anything):
David: No. He wouldn't graffiti. Man prolly believes in the sanctity of nature and leaving things either as or better than he found it
Angel: Cock and balls.
Asher: Jigglypuff. He wants everyone to behold the splendor.
Baabe: honestly, despite the fact I hc them as an art nerd, I don't think they would graffiti. Maybe with chalk so that way it's temporary. But idk what they would say.
Milo: either "Milo was here" or "Shut up Asher"
Sweetheart: doesn't matter. It's a mess. Because "Art is abstract, Milo. Besides, it kind of looks like that time Aggro spooked you and you shifted and made a mess in our old apartment"
Sam: he wouldn't. He's on the same wavelength as David.
Darlin: some kind of inside joke so that way everyone in the pack (and clan) knows they were there.
Vincent: a purposefully cheesy inspirational quote in the shittiest lettering you've ever seen.
Lovely: a smiley face because they just want their life to calm down so they can enjoy immortality with their stupid boyfriend.
Porter: he wouldn't, but not because he cares about sanctity or whatever. He just doesn't see the point.
Treasure: nah. They don't see the point either. They also don't have a marker or spray paint or anything with them. Porter just kinda zipped them into the middle of fucking nowhere all of the sudden. Somehow they lost a shoe on the way.
Elliot: yes. Boy is making a whole landscape because it's in his DNA and his inner Bob Ross is screaming at him that there's no mistakes, only happy little accidents
Sunshine: they put a sun and a little river for Brachium since he can't deface property with them :(
Blake: he's bringing a powerwasher to destroy all the graffiti
Bestie: they weren't aware it was an option because Blake is sheltering them from the existence of graffiti to keep them pure.
Aaron: no. He doesn't have the time
Smartass: they're busy too.
Ollie: no. He'd rather be inside playing board games
Baby: no, they're inside watching Ollie explain a board game for three hours
Ivan: yeah. Idk what, but he is
(I'm not doing Ivan's listeners)
Guy: it's just memes. There pepe the frog. There's rainbows and telling people that "they're putting chemicals in the water to turn all the frogs gay"
Honey: they put Guy's phone number so he gets spammed because his graffiti tastes are as good as his humor. Make of that what you will.
Geordi: no. He's too anxious about getting in trouble to even think about it.
Cutie: yes. They're putting passing people's thoughts on the wall.
Camelopardalis: no.
(He has too many listeners and I isn't remember them and they dint have enough personality for me to be able to tell)
Vega: no. It's too human.
Warden: once. They felt bad and tried to get rid of it afterwards. It was just a stick figure with horns.
Hush: yes. He saw it once and wanted to try it. Now he's wanted in twelve states for defacing government property. He just copies what he's seen.
Doc: nope. They never understood the draw.
Damien: nope. He's a rule follower
Lasko: no. He's too anxious
Dear: yes. But it's just dad jokes.
Huxley: once. He felt bad about it but it was certainly an experience. It was a tree and a stick dude.
Gavin: absolutely. It's hilarious. It ranges from just crude jokes to just random circles. No one knows the meeting, but it's becoming like a mini legend in Dahlia. If you find the holy circle (because it's a perfect circle. He has good wrist control) you have to leave an offering. He's making a cult by accident but he still finds it funny
Freelancer: yes, but only because Caelum saw Gavin doing it and thought it looked like fun and he wanted Freelancer's help.
Caelum: he drew a bunch of shaky smiley faces to "brighten peoples day. Because when they see all these smiles, they'll want to smile too, and that will make them feel good. Which makes me feel good. Which helps me make others feel good. Which makes me feel goo-"
Morgan: no.
Seer obscura: no. But they were tempted to give vague warnings to people to try to help them

Personal headcanon that Gabe met his mate (David's mother) during a security gig.
He and Gregory were 20 something roommates living in a cramped apartment in the shittier parts of Dahlia.
Surviving on ramen and cigarettes and cheap beer.Talking about their future packs and the territory they would claim one day.
But the money was tight, so when a listing for shifter bodyguards popped up (with pay neither of them had seen in their lives), they sign up right away.
I imagine it's on the east cost. The gig concerns the daughter of some old pack. The alphas daughter to be exact. And they're like ancient; they could trace their lineage back to the 1400s.
And their employer, the Alpha, makes his views about them, and where they land in the hierarchy very clear. They are runts who are there for only one thing; keeping an eye on his sickly daughter. No talking, no fraternizing and the pay would be theirs. Plus a little extra, if the Alpha felt like it.
Gabe and Greg grit their teeth through the whole speech. Trying not to sneer at the words "runt" and "pup". They make it out of the assholes office without punching him.
Gabe expects his daughter to be just like him. Haughty and insufferable, despite her weak disposition.
And she is, except not in the way he imagined.
She tried to run away. He finds her on the snow covered ground on Christmas eve.
She bares her teeth at him, hair a mess, white silk gown torn, blending with the snow. She spats something-insults or threats maybe, he cannot tell- and he mesmerized by the sound of her voice.
The glint in her eyes makes him go wild, the scent of her perfume and anger mixed in the air makes him dizzy.
And then... then she shifts.
And her wolf form is unlike anything he's ever seen. Smaller yes, but lean. Her movements are elegant. Her jet black fur shines, reflecting the moonlight.
One look at him and she turns dashing into the woods of the giant property, disappearing in the darkness.
And Gabe stays there for a second slack jawed. Still reeling from it all, his wolf right beneath his skin, screaming at him to follow her.
And then it hits him:
Gabriel Shaw is in love.
Gabriel Shaw is about to lose his job.

SCP-F10W3R5
Item #: SCP-F10W3R5
Site: 3M91R35
Object Class: Euclid Safe [ See Addendum SCP-F10W3R5-2 ]
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-F10W3R5 is to be given standard foundation living quarters as wall as appropriate meals when asked. SCP-F10W3R5 is allowed in commonplace areas as well as allowed to freely roam on the Safe Sites of the foundations. He is not permitted near the Euclid Sites and especially not permitted near the Keter Sites. There is no need for special containment procedures. Standard rules and regulations (he is to be given no weapons, no information, etc) apply.
Addendum SCP-F10W3R5-1: SCP-F10W3R5 is allowed outside in the garden when asked. He is not to be kept away from the garden unless the foundation is performing a test outside. At least two members of staff are to be outside with him at all times. He is not allowed to leave the garden area.
SCP-F10W3R5 often request items for his garden. Requests are to be approved by Site Directors.

Description: SCP-F10W3R5 is a twenty eight (28) year old Caucasian man of Scottish decent, approximately one point eight (1.8) meters in height. He has cyan hair and blue eyes, usually holding a singular flower or flower crown in his ear. He wears a simple white shirt with a rainbow flag on it, a blue cardigan, black jeans, and white socks. He walks around in socks, only wearing his gardening boots when going outside.
SCP-F10W3R5 is a generally very pleasant and kind, happy to talk with foundation members and cooperate with staff. He doesn't seem to mind the foundation, nor does he seem to care about the questions we ask, so long as we allow him the ability to garden. He answers as honestly as he can, only refusing if he doesn't know or uncomfortable with what is being asked.
SCP-F10W3RS has the ability to turn anything into different types of flowers. He is able to turn both living and nonliving items into flowers, but seems unable to control the types of flowers the items are turned into. Testing upon the flowers show that they have the same DNA as whatever flower they were turned into, showing no signs of being anything else.
Addendum SCP-F10W3R5-2: SCP-F10W3R5 used to be considered Euclid, due to his power of being able to make anything, including humans, into flowers. However, he has proven to be able to control said power and expressed he would no longer destroy foundation property or hurt foundation staff/D-Class personnel, so long as he is able to have a garden. He was given a test period and has proven to be Safe, as he has had no more incidents.
[ Interview Log ]
EXAMINER NOTES:  This log was taken predating SCP-F10W3R5's change from Euclid to Safe class. This was taken after an incident of SCP-F10W3R5 destroying his bedroom wall in order to get outside before being caught and put in a solitary confinement cell.
Date: 20XX/04/23
Interviewer: Dr. Winson
Interviewee: SCP-F10W3R5
[ BEGIN LOG ]
Dr. Winson: SCP-F10W3R5-
SCP-F10W3R5: [Irritated] My name is Scott.
Dr. Winson: SCP-F10W3R5, you harmed two members of staff-
SCP-F10W3R5: I didn't mean to! It was an accident, I just wanted to get outside!
Dr. Winson: You are not permitted outside.
SCP-F10W3R5: And why not?! I don't do anything but sit inside all day! I see Scar and Jellie walking around all the time, they're allowed to freely roam, why can't I?!
Dr. Winson: You've... seen SCP-5C4R?
SCP-F10W3R5: Of course I have! Scar and I are friends! Ugh, whatever, that's not my point! My powers are completely harmless!
Dr. Winson: That's not entirely true-
SCP-F10W3R5: [Annoyed] Ugh, if you want to be all technical, then I guess yeah, technically, I can turn humans into flowers. But I don't because I don't want to hurt anyone. I literally just want to have a garden. Is that so much to ask?!
Dr. Winson: Unfortunately, yes it is-
[ Note: At this point, SCP-F10W3R5 had jumped across the table and placed his hand on Dr. Winson's chest, a clear threat of his ability. Armed members of staff had come into the room, but SCP-F10W3R5 did not budge. ]
SCP-F10W3R5: Okay, I'm done being nice. I can turn literally anything into bouquets. I could single-handedly destroy this entire foundation. So, unless you want me to release everyone in this building and turn everyone into bunches of flowers, I demand to be allowed outside and allowed to grow a garden. That is literally all I want.
Dr. Winson: [Pauses] I will... talk to O-5 to get it approved.
SCP-F10W3R5: [Removes himself from Dr. Winson] [Smiles] Thank you! I expect to hear back from you soon!
[ END LOG ]
Conclusion: Dr. Winson put in a request to O-5, detailing the severity. O-5 approved it under the conditions that SCP-F10W3R5 is heavily monitored. He was given the permission to grow a garden and, over time, his restrictions were lessened until he was reclassified as Safe.
No more incidents have occured.
