Hello cuties, how ya doing? ✨⭐
Well well, I was watching Naruto again cause the Brazilian dub was released and I realized something that I don't know if every fan of team taka is aware of.
Isn't a secret to anyone that Sasuke saw team taka as his own family just like team seven and that every member in team taka resembles one of team seven, right?
Well, the first time I read and saw this
I thought that Juugo was some kind of representation for Kakashi to Sasuke, but then I realized that Juugo represents Sasuke himself and then Sasuke became Kakashi's representation in team taka, the leader, but not just that, it's what Kakashi said one time.
This conversation between Orochimaru and Suigetsu only reinforces this idea too.
Like, he says that Juugo, Karin and Suigetsu, just like Sasuke, they are free now, but at the same time it's implied that they are now with Sasuke as Taka and not Hebi anymore. Some other translations said “You are not my snake anymore.” So, it's much stronger and significant.
And for Juugo we see him as a member of a cursed clã that needs someone to put him in a “cage”.
It's funny seeing that Juugo needed it like just two times, one was Sasuke and another time was with Suigetsu and then I realized that this ‘cage’ is indeed the team taka.
At the very beginning team Hebi wasn't a peaceful team, they weren’t in tune with each other and this was a trigger to Juugo’s rage, but as time passed his impulse of killing stops just as team hebi became more harmonious.
The other time he couldn't control it was when all of them were apart, Juugo and Suigetsu were in one of those Orochimaru’s hideouts and Suigetsu was murmuring about the situation.
This scene isn't in the manga, but somehow it feels important because it was at this point that team hebi began to be something more than just a bunch of people sticking together, they became some more to each other somehow.
You know what? I like team taka the most because they had so much in common, they shared a lot of things and even though Kishimoto didn't show it, it was implied that they, even during those dark years with Orochimaru, knew each other's history and lived together like that.
I want to write something more detailed about that, well…
Juugo wanted to be alone because of his own strength and Sasuke himself choose the loneliness to become stronger and somehow the two of them find freedom in they respective teams
Sasuke and Juugo are two gentle souls that were corrupted by they respective clans and by the evil in others

Went to bed last night thinking about that scene in shippuden where Juugo jumps in front of Sasuke to protect him from the Hokage reincarnations and how it parallels all the times Sasuke jumped in front of his team mates (Team 7) to protect them except this time in reverse. And then I thought about how until Team Taka no one ever jumped in front of Sasuke to protect him, and how surprised Sasuke looks when Juugo does it. . . and anyway if anyone asks why I love Team Taka and think they're the best thing that's ever happened to Sasuke this is one of the reasons why.

Do you like team taka
You mean, if I like comrades that show loyalty and friendship with no limits, that stay by your side at your lowest, that won't give up on you even when you are insane, unfair and even mean to them?
Friends that will trust you and cherish you regardless of the darkness that consumes you, that will go with you to the end of the world, that will not run away from danger to protect you?
Friends that are ready to be your partners in crime, that would go burn the world by your side? Are you really asking me if I like them, Anon?
I love them. With all my being. Team Taka forever.

Sasuke: ...that's not what I meant. I meant nissan... Like a car, you know? Strong and reliable like a car. Here.
Karin: uh-huh.

About team Hebi/Taka and team seven
Part 02
So this led us to team Hebi and team Taka… ok ok, I know it's the same group of people and all, but hear me out.
Well, in chapter 344 Sasuke made an interesting allusion about snakes and hawks and so then called Orochimaru a snake and Sasuke himself as a hawk.
But then the first name he gave to his team was hebi (snake). I don't know if everybody is aware of the fact that the names Sasuke has chosen it's linked to how he sees the world.
Hebi, as a snake, Sasuke has one only target and it is the only thing he could see in front of him. Sasuke walks on the ground having a limited perception of the world he lives in.
At the moment Sasuke learned the truth about Itachi he also became aware of the corruption in the world, so as a hawk, he started to fly and have a better perception of everything that happens beneath his eyes. So then he became Taka.
And he had two moments as Hebi and Taka. Hebi with Itachi and Danzo and Taka with Tobi and when they revived the Kages.
Well well well… This can also be applied to the other members of the team.
Each of them has an objective. Suigetsu wants Kisame's sword, Karin wants to stick around Sasuke and Juugo has some kind of duty to see if Sasuke is strong enough to be Kimimaro’s memento.
And everything changed when Itachi died.
I don't know if we can assume that Juugo knows about Sasuke's past, but surely Suigetsu and Karin knew.
It wasn't shown, but for sure Sasuke had told them what happened and again they had to choose to be with him or not because the reason why they were reunited was to find Itachi, however, now the story is different, so then they stayed and fought for Sasuke's purpose.
And that's why I like so much team taka, each of them has something in common with Sasuke, as if each of them reflects a bit Sasuke's history and trajectory, so this the reason why they stood with him no matter what, they understood him (even more than Naruto, sorry)… that's why Kishi has this urge to create a team for him.
Who will follow Sasuke? People that are equal to him.
And the same goes for Sasuke. He acknowledged them because he knows they share the same pain and loneliness and that's what makes them strong.
And the point is: the moment all of them change for taka we could see their real intentions.
Karin and Juugo databooks shows it clearly.
Kishi himself wrote questions for the characters and that's great because in the next databook he answers those same questions.
For Karin
We already knew that Karin had feelings for Sasuke, but at the beginning we saw the characterization of a fangirl with pervert thoughts, and unfortunately, the data release of her first databook was made one year after her debut in manga, so unlike Juugo and Suigetsu, Karin’s past background was never mentioned in the manga. So, basically the databook series was released in the middle of volume 43 and 44 at the moment Hebi became Taka, so eventually we had the first information about her.
Her heart and mind was with Taka and she never felt loyalty towards Orochimaru, she stayed in ottokagure because of Sasuke, but why?
Her databook came at the moment she turned in Taka showing us her true self and true history.
This leads us to the other databook where we learn about chapter 480, the reason why she stayed with him, demonstrating a selfless love and showing her real intentions as a Taka member.
It's important to point out that the last databook series was released close to the last chapter of the manga.
So at the end we learn her history and why she felt so close to Sasuke.
With Juugo we had something more subtle. His first intention was to see if Sasuke was worthed to be Kimimaro's memento, so he needed to see with his own eyes because for him only Kimimaro's wishes mattered so in the beginning Juugo was testing Sasuke's intentions.
The translation is kind of weird and has a huge difference between the Brazilian Portuguese translation, it says “but then a light shines, the one for whom Kimimaro gave his life… Sasuke. So Juugo came out of his own isolation to test Sasuke’s power.”
Here we don't see nothing new from the manga
But here Juugo had finally recognized Sasuke's power and wishes, not only as a memento, but as the person Sasuke was. So we can assume that this changes began after Itachi's deaths when Sasuke's purpose changed, at that moment Juugo’s changed too.
For that, my point of view is the thing: Juugo didn't know about Sasuke's past, but at the moment he was aware of all of the history he just wanted to be the person Kimimaro was to him and this lead us to another detail in Juugo's changes as a Taka.
This painel here
Ladies and gentlemen, Juugo was putting Karin's wishes above Kimimaro's, and therefore, he was thinking about Sasuke's well being too. So this is a markable point for his character guuys, can you see why?
Juugo no longer protects Kimimaro's interests which were the same as Orochimaru's, he is no longer a Hebi (or what we saw in my previous post) that he is no longer Orochimaru’s Hebi… He is now part of Taka and he does everything to protect Sasuke's will.
Another thing that is very important to point out is that part in the databook it says “Imprinting in these eyes Sasuke's existence, he pushes forward towards the ninja world in turmoil.”
Juugo is described as a gentle person that doesn't wanna fight or hurt anyone, but for Sasuke he made sacrifices and fought whenever it was necessary…
Suigetsu, he was more difficult to understand because he had one and exclusive goal that never changed, so he said to be with Sasuke to have a chance to capture Kisame's sword and that it was when he was a Hebi.
But when his first databook came out we got to understand why he wanted that so bad.
This dream wasn't exclusive his and he didn't only wanted to collect swords, his dream of rebuilding the seven ninja swordsmen came as a result of his brother's death.
And those same informations repeated in his last databook.
But, unfortunately, all his path was a waste of time. Kishimoto just forgot about it and somehow he didn't know what to do with Suigetsu after all, not only him, but team taka as a whole and that's so sad. Actually, at the end, Suigetsu got the executioner ‘s blade back? I Don't remember that.
Anyways, Suigetsu turned out as a Taka in the moment we discovered about his brother and it seems his brother was his only bond, somehow he extended this bond with the rest of team taka at the point of sacrificing his own life for them. I believe that the moment Suigetsu knew about Itachi, he thought about his own brother and wanted to fight for Sasuke's purpose too.
He wasn't just looking for swords after all, in the end he was looking for freedom too.
Read this one {∆}
That's it, team Taka is a resemblance for Sasuke, they were written exclusively for his trajectory and each of them can understand Sasuke better than anyone.
That's why they tag along and stay together. Unfortunately they didn't have a place to return, and even though Kishimoto gave ambitions and goals to each of them, in the end, Team Taka remained in the same place that took everything from them… Just like Sasuke as well.
Suigetsu could have returned to his homeland, Juugo wanted to stay in the land of lightning and Karin... Well, in a universe where Sasuke can't be with her, many possibilities to reconnect with the past or start over.

I love your taka content so much. I love these babies so much. All 4 are perfect. I love all. SasuKarin, SasuJugo, SasuSui, SuiJugoo, maybe even probably JuugoKarin? But i rather stick with SasuKarin for her. (expect SuiKa for obvious reasons because ss tards try to force them on us and they really don't make any sense. SuiKa is gross) but I love everything you write about taka is just ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ and I love how Jugoo cares for Sasuke. He's such a good guy
Thanks for dropping by to send this <3 Team Taka is my full time obsession and I'm so glad someone is benefitting from my random ideas! haha you know I used to low key (and I really do mean low key) ship Karin and Suigetsu but that was a while ago and my mind has changed a lot and honestly I agree with you that it's just not a good fit. I think I like their dynamic better as frenemies. I'm sure you know from my stuff that JuuSasu is THE ship for me but one of the things I love about Team Taka is that pretty much all of them have some sort of chemistry with each other. Whether that's BFFs, frenemies, lovers, etc. etc. I really enjoy the potential for deep connections with each other. And that's one of my favorite things to explore. And yes. I'm with you 100% . Juugo is such a good guy and the amount of care he has for Sasuke just makes my heart explode.

It angers me to think about this.
Team 7 was apparently a team for barley 6 months. Sasuke spend barley 6 months with them. Then comes minus 1 month for the preparation for the chuunin exam (training with kakashi) and Sasukes 1 month hospital stay (after his beloved saint brother tortured him mentally and physically for hours).
So after the chuunin exam Team 7 had no mission together and after our saints visit Sasuke was not in the picture anymore for a long time till they brought that gambler into the village.
So you want to tell me, that Naruto, that blond fascist brat... chased after Sasuke for years.. he chased after someone he barely knew for 4!! damn months??
And he talks about commaradeship, friendship and brotherhood bullshit to someone he tied up at the beginning of the manga because he was fucking jealous? In the beginning in the manga it was said that Naruto is not a hard worker, he barely doesn't do anything. He doesn't train, doesn't study, doesn't work on himself but was mad and jealous over Sasuke cuz he was perfect at everything because he was not only a prodigy but because he worked hard, studied hard, worked on himself. A sharingan alone did not make him great. Hell even if the sharingan was taken away from him, he would still be the best because he's a hardworking guy. But take away Kurama from Naruto and he's nothing. A mere loser.
So after what kind of "friendship" is that blond shit after? Sasuke doesn't liked Naruto at all. Yes he helped his ass and that pink garbage ass out and that's it. And no, he doesn't had "special feelings" to pink shit. Sasuke helps everyone because he is not a shithead who helps people only to gain something in return. He does not abuse people or take advantage of them. He's a good guy that's why he helped and protected them. But on a personal level he didn't liked them. I wouldn't even say he hated them because to hate someone you need to acknowledge them first. He was indifferent to them because he saw no value in wasting his time hating them.
And Naruto chased after whom again? For years? And forced himself on him with his fascist mindset? And manipulated him?
Sasuke knows Orochimaru, Kabuto, Karin and to some extent Suigetsu (because sui was in that water tank so I suppose he didn't talked that much with him but they definitely interacted because Suigetsu was shocked when sasuke came after him and he talked in that bossy manner, which tells me that sasuke was very kind to him and also to karin because she also didn't understand why he talks in that bossy manner) more compared to that shitty team 7.... .. uhh I'll stop. I'm annoyed...again

“Sarada is the first Uchiha that awoke her MS out of a sense of pure love, unlike the rest of them that were rooted in hatred –she’s the first one to break the “Hatred Cycle” of the clan.”
*sighs* Listen, there’s nothing I’d like more than to leave Boruto and all of its byproducts behind for good, yet over and over again the rabid anti-Sasuke fandom comes back to trash on the original characters of the show for the sole purpose of chanting “old Uchiha bad, new Uchiha good” around a barely lit pit fire.
Allow me to quickly break this notion, as it doesn’t need much more inspection than a faint passing of our eyes through the original series to debunk it.
After hearing Naruto is sealed away alongside Hinata and everyone blames Boruto, Sarada starts crying and, in desperation, asks her dad to “help Boruto”, awakening her Mangekyou Sharingan.
[Contrary to what I initially believed as I thought she might be asking for help as she couldn’t move, she’s not injured, she appears to be (at most) in shock due to everything that Boruto has to face, so, in case you’re one of those Naruto fans that are used to have pretty plot-relevant, emotional moments after the initial awakening of an Uchiha’s MS, let me tell you: That’s not happening, at all.]
Regardless of the minuscule and for real, for real, not sarcastic at all, very-well thought and constructed attempt to empower a character whose relevance to the main plot lies in the fact that she is the only daughter of Boruto's mentor, many stans of the child saw this opportunity to trash on Sasuke’s power as an Uchiha (you know, the reincarnation of Indra itself), and to justify such an awakening of one of the most powerful forms of the Sharingan under the premise that “it’s a different type of awakening because it’s linked to love, not hatred.”
So, in order to fact-check such affirmation, let’s see how other characters achieved the Mangekyou:
Sasuke:
Sasuke awakes his MS originally from learning the truth behind his family’s genocide; before this (and I mean, chapters before this, as his MS is dedicated a total of three chapters) Obito explained that the Uchiha were planning a coup and that Itachi, to protect Konoha and his brother, committed the annihilation of his entire kin following the government’s orders. We see him crying before a new resolution is reached: destroy Konoha. His MS awakes due to his pain which turns to complete anger.
However, you wouldn’t believe how Sasuke has conscious access to both Mangekyou:
That’s right folks, he has conscious access over his right MS by thinking of those he wants to protect, Team Taka and Team 7. So this “hatred” cycle that powers up his Sharingan is fuelled by one thing and one thing only: love.
Furthermore,
Sasuke got conscious access over his left MS technique when trying to save Karin, as she’s a very dear comrade of his. Something similar happened when he awakened his Sharingan versus when he got conscious access to it when trying to save Naruto.
[Sasuke awoke the Sharingan when he was eight years old, so the idea that “haha, Sarada awoke her MS when she was younger than him so she’s better!” is stupid as he awoke it when he was at least four years younger when facing the genocide of his people, unlike her that got it from daddy issues. In fact, awakening MS or the Sharingan before or after has nothing to do with the person's capacity as a ninja as it solely depends on the traumatic events that said person experiences. It's safer to say that her emotional threshold is significantly lower than her father's given the "peaceful" times in which she grew up than to claim a "superiority" based upon the age they both experienced traumatically enough events to influence their chakra and develop or evolve their doujutsu.]
Obito:
Obito, somewhat similar to Sasuke (and this is due to their feelings, as they’re heartbroken and such pain triggers their raw hate), awakes his MS when he sees the girl he loves get killed by the boy he started to consider a friend when he was twelve/thirteen years old. His feelings are so strongly connected to his Sharingan that they also evolve the doujutsu that Kakashi possesses.
However, there’s a striking difference between how Obito awakened his Sharingan (basic form) and how Sasuke or even Sarada did as he achieved such power when trying to save his comrades.
[Sasuke awoke the Sharingan due to the pain he felt when seeing his parents get killed by his brother, which turned into hatred when Itachi "explained" his reasons. Meanwhile, Sarada got her Sharingans due to the pain she felt when her father didn't recognize her, which turned into fear when he threatened to kill her.]
Obito’s Sharingan was completely awakened by a sense of protectiveness over those dear to him, in other words, love.
Every single Sharingan or evolution of the same doujutsu is driven by the same emotion. From there, it either derivates to different states (pain, hate, grief, and so on), or it doesn’t, but no Uchiha can access either form without feeling a strong positive connection with someone or something they are trying to protect.
P.S: Unrelated, but look how pretty Kishimoto's art is compared to Ikemoto's (who also sexualizes minors constantly, as this is the cover of the newest volume), Sasuke looks so ugly and Sarada's MS is the most awful thing I've ever seen. No wonder the manga is flopping. Yikes.
Edit to add: It’s devastatingly hilarious how the whole point of Sarada’s Mangekyou wasn’t even about her; nor her power, nor the relevance of her bonds, it was about making a powerful enough moment for Sasuke to believe her and help Boruto! Everything becomes, yet again, about Sasuke.

The true being told²
How Team 7 is a collective hallucination of Naruto fandom - or - a poetic story of how Sakura killed Team 7 and became the most hated character of them all
First of all, Team 7 is overly romanticized by the fandom, thats for sure. Team 7 is the most dysfunctional team out of them all, but people do tend to overlook this fact and praise it as some kind of irreplaceable ideal in the life of every member of that team (sometimes even as an ideal for other teams as well). There are reasons for that. Team 7 was presented to us as the center of the story, center of the universe that was slowly unfolding before our eyes. We also had our expectations because of Naruto’s genre, we knew that this was the story about bonds, so we expected all the main characters to become inseparable like one true family. We saw what we wanted to see.
Funny thing is that it never happened. (I don’t know the author of this awesome pic, sry)
There was this amazing bond between Naruto and Sasuke and later on there was a strong bond between Naruto and Sakura, but those two bonds are not Team 7, they didn’t even coincide in time. Team 7 dynamic was crooked and skew, Team 7 never looked genuinely whole and the reason for that was probably Sakura. From the very start she was an oddball in the ninja universe - a cocky girl with no special ability, who was more interested in her hair and love than fighting, who had no ambitions and no resolve. It looked like she was a traveler, who had just stepped out of the portal from another world with no wars and no tragedy. Her calm background was not even nearly enough to explain how she grew up this way. She was ignorant on a whole new level to the point where she seemed delusional and straight inadequate. This was the first nail in her coffin- Kishimoto wanted her to be more “realistic” but all he manged to do is create a character that seemed out of place, seemed non-organic to the world of blood and tension she was born into AND alien to other characters that surrounded her (Hinata actually was very organic, see what I’m explaining here?). And Sakura wasn’t even humble to smooth her way out of it, she was bossy and demanding, constantly stressing the rough stitches with which she was sewn to the story. Ino was somewhat the same, but she was not focused on as much, she had a very special ability and she was also given a beauty point when she saved Sakura from bullying (labeling Sakura as average in beauty department was also a great move from Kishi, gj!). Actually Sakura’s “rebellion” against Ino was put into such a sexist context that it looked nothing but petty in contrast to all other rivalries we had in the manga.
Basically Sakura had a false start, but her further progress was even more dramatic. She became a true scapegoat for Kishimoto, who needed an easy tool to vivify the plot - she was written to be a weak crybaby to contrast boys and highlight their strength, she was written as an aggressive bitch to make Naruto’s struggle even more prominent, she was written as a shallow idiot to highlight Sasuke’s maturity. And just like that not only was she despised by the readers from the get go, she couldn’t possibly be respected by Sasuke and was a bitch to Naruto, ignoring him most of the time. She couldn’t possibly be integrated in Team 7, but formally was its part, so she became this wedge in the natural flow that prevented Team 7 from becoming whole. It was simply too late as Kishimoto has used her for far too long. I argue that if Sakura was a bit less fangirly towards Sasuke (aka not chase him away and anger him) and a little bit more patient with Naruto (aka not push him away from every scene to be alone with Sasuke) we would have gotten the above picture in the manga, but it didn’t happen. How could we get a steady shot of the three if one was chased away and the other one pushed away? Kakashi was also kind of on the sides, but at least he had a reason to be, he was a superior. When Sakura finally became a warrior and cured her short-sightedness a bit, Sasuke was gone. And then the glorious “nostalgia-period” began.

Hello cuties, how ya doing? ✨✨
It's interesting that this scene in anime was made like, one year after the chapter 414 where Sasuke recognize them as something important for him.
Sasuke and Juugo are two gentle souls that were corrupted by his own clan and by the evil in others
