Gotta say, I don't like all the theories that botw/totk are the only canon games/everything else is a retelling

...Okay yeah she's a Queen, not a cop, but like this game outright informs us all that Hyrule is an imperialist country that forcibly annexes its neighbors, and considers all non-Hylians to be inherently inferior races who exist only to serve Hyrule, specifically the royal family. And as the Queen and one of the founders of this autocratic nightmare, Sonia absolutely carries the blame for the horrific situation. She totally had it coming, keep up the good work Ganondorf!
Yeah I know the game presents Hyrule as being Pure Good, but like. They also outright say that Rauru and Sonia have been repeatedly demanding that an independent nation submit and become annexed into Hyrule, and then the game suggests this was wrong because they should have been forcibly annexing the Gerudo instead. Japan has a massive problem with nationalism, and my god does it ever show in this game. They've convinced me that Ganondorf is a good leader trying to stop his people from being annexed and subjugated, it's just that the game thinks that imperialism is good so Ganon fighting against his oppressors makes him evil apparently.

Have you ever thought up KH OCs?
Actually, no. Because I really haven't seen a reason to make one so far. XD
HOWEVER, what I HAVE thought up is a KH fanfic. And I don't mean a short kink-based story, though I've written a few of those, nonono, it's a long-running project...which I'm still trying to find time to continue. 'XD So, I can't remember if the story is here on Tumblr, but I began work on a project called "Kingdom Hearts: The Uncertainty Principle." Ostensibly, it's a crossover between KH and the animated series "Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure," but it's intended to go to all sorts of other worlds and involve a bunch of other characters I've always wanted to see in KH games. The plan was to split the single story into multiple "Books," with me writing a whole book out and then uploading it chapter-by-chapter before starting the next. I finished Book I literally years ago...BUT UNFORTUNATELY, when I got started on Book II, I found it wasn't really working properly, and I had to go back to the drawing board. This, plus a TON of life stuff and constant backlogs on my commissions, has resulted in the story being...I think four years on hiatus, simply because I haven't had a chance to do anything with Book II, let alone the ones meant to follow. The sad part is that Books III to the end of the saga are already set up and I THINK still work, just looking at my plans. So Book II is really the stumbling block. If I can just find time to figure out how to make the plan work better, and then - more importantly, honestly - find time to WORK ON IT, I will continue "The Uncertainty Principle." Till then, God only knows when it will get done. I certainly hope to finish it someday. :P

I think I finally figured out what irritated me about that gameplay trailer for BOTW Tears of the Kingdom.
I mean, aside from the voice over. Something about the voice irked me, making it impossible to watch.
But like. The biggest question for a lot of people is will Tears of the Kingdom at the very least provide a way to repair your weapon?
And unless the site I looked at missed something, it seems the answer is “now you can STACK your incredibly flimsy weapons”.
Which.
No.
I want to be interested in Breath of the Wild and its sequel. But because of how my brain works, the weapons breaking with no way to fix them is a dealbreaker. I’m cool with weapon durability as long as you can fucking fix them.
It’s not like its a new mechanic, as it’s been used in dungeon crawlers for ages.
But there needs to be a way to, y’know, fix the weapon.
If you can’t, well my default is to save up a bunch of the easy to find weapons, and try not to get attached to the big fancy ones.
Yes, I get attached to digital weapons, I’m human and I have adhd.
Like, if the fuse ability can be used to fix weapons, then cool! I’m on board. But if it’s just for making ridiculous shit, well, that’ll be fun for some. But right now I’m not in the headspace for it.
So yeah, today’s gameplay trailer sucked for me because it didn’t answer the one question I had, so the matter of “can I get emotionally invested in this” is still marked unresolved.

It is such a bummer for folks working at Nintendo that such significant TotK leaks are already starting, three months before launch. It is so irritating to work on a game for years only to have someone decide to go rogue, break their NDA, and post things online. 😡
