Royal SHOCK: How The Queen Mother was GLAD when Buckingham Palace was ‘BOMBED’ in WW2

QUEEN ELIZABETH, the Queen Mother, claimed she was glad Buckingham Palace had been bombed during World War II but for a very “noble” reason, a bombshell documentary reveals. Elizabeth and her husband King George VI embodied the spirit of British stoicism and pluck during the major conflict. In 1940, as London was bombed relentlessly by the Germans, Elizabeth and the King would tirelessly tend to those affected by the bombing offensive, visiting bombed civilians, devastated factories and members of the armed forces. According to 2013 documentary “The Majestic Life of Queen Elizabeth II”, the future monarch learned a lot from her mother during those difficult times. Royal Correspondent Camilla Tominey said: “They were really eye-opening times for the Queen. “Particularly, I think because of her relationship with her mother. “The Queen Mother was always someone who wanted to be involved in society and community.”

Elizabeth trained as a driver and mechanic and was given the rank of honorary junior commander Image GETTY Ms Tominey added: “Famously during the Blitz, she said that she was glad that Buckingham Palace had been bombed because she wanted to look the East End in the face. “I think, similarly, they were very much in tunes with their times “And the Queen particularly, I think, she understood the notion of not being seen to be splashing cash at times when things were difficult for other people.”

I won't leave without the King. And the King will never leave.” So the two Princesses were moved to Balmoral Castle, Sandringham House, and eventually Windsor Castle, where they waited out the war.

Caroline Bonaparte to Rene Auberjonois

As I've posted on here before and is probably not news to anyone now, but in case you're new to the Bonaparte world, here's the news: Caroline Bonaparte was the third great grandmother to American actor Rene Auberjonois. Rene, mostly known for his role on Star Trek as Odo, Benson as Clayton, and as the singing chef in The Little Mermaid, died about two years ago due to lung cancer. In fact, his full name was Rene Murat Auberjonois. But exactly how is descended from Caroline Bonaparte and Joachim Murat? Come with me and I will show you. Also, he's related through his various aunts and uncles to some other well known First Empire names.

Caroline and Joachim were the proud parents to four children:

1. Achille Charles Louis Napoleon Murat, crown prince of Naples (who would go on to reside in Florida and marry an American woman)

2. Marie Letizia Josephine Annonciade Murat, Countess of Castigilone

3. Lucien Charles Joseph Napoleon Murat, 2nd Sovereign Prince of Pontecorvo

4. Louise Julie Caroline Murat, Countess Rasponi.

The happy brood:

Rene's great great grandfather is that handsome little boy in red at Caroline's feet. Lucien Murat. Let's take a look at him:

gLucien, after the fall of the Empire and the fallout from it, ended up getting on a ship to sail off to the United States for a better life. His ship ship-wrecked and he was taken hostage by the Spanish. His brother, Achille, had to enlist the help of US President Monroe for his release. Once this was obtained, Lucien made his way to the states and to his uncle Joseph's estate, Point Breeze, in Bordentown, New Jersey. He proceeded to travel around the country, getting as far as Texas and California. He also met an American woman by the name of Caroline Georgina Fraser whom he married at Joseph's estate in New Jersey. They had several children while living in the United States, at Bordentown, New Jersey. His wife was a Protestant, daughter of a Scottish immigrant and had ties to the American Revolution. They suffered financially and ended up opening a boarding school for girls with his wife. Luckily for him, he'd eventually make his way back to France when Napoleon III came into power and was elected to the constituent assembly, appointed minister to Turin. in 1852, he received the title of senator and the title of Prince was restored. He tried to make a claim to the Naples throne, was mocked for it, and ended that declaration.

At the fall of the Second Empire, Lucien made his way back to the US for awhile, doing business in grist and saw mills near Evan Mills, Jefferson County, New York.

He had five children:

1 Princess Caroline Letitizia Murat

2. Joachim Joseph Napoleon Murat

3. Princess Anne Murat

4. Prince Charles Louis Napoleon Achille Murat

5. Prince Louis Napoleon Murat

Lucien Murat dies in Paris.

His second son, Joachim Joseph Napoleon Murat, is a Major-General in the French Army and marries the grand-daughter of Alexandre Berthier, making Rene a distant relative to the Berthier family also. Joachim will have a grandson, also named Joachim who marries the great-granddaughter of Ney.

So now Rene has ties to the Berthier and Ney families.

His son Charles Louis Napoleon Achille Murat's son, Lucien Charles, he marries Marie Augustine de Rohan-Chabot. Her older sister, Marie Josephine, marries into the Talleyrand family.

So now Rene has ties to the Bonaparte, Berthier, Ney, Talleyrand families.

Rene's great grandfather is Prince Louis Napoleon Murat. He has two sons. The eldest son, Prince Eugene marries a daughter of Marshal Ney (hello again). They have three children and Prince Eugene dies in an auto accident on the way to Karlsbad. The second son, Prince Michel (Rene's great paternal grandfather) marries a woman name Helene MacDonald Stallo, heiress to the Standard Oil money. They have a daughter, Princess Laure Louise Napoleone Eugiene Murat, who marries Swiss-American journalist, Fernand Auberjonois, parents to Rene Auberjonois.

Countess of Larch Spotted in Willow City After Picking Up Her Daughter from School - Is She Divorcing Her Husband?

HRH Princess Isabella, Countess of Larch makes headlines again! After all the drama concerning her husband, HRH the Earl of Larch, cheating with one of her closest friends, the Countess remained away from the spolight for a few days. However, the drama is not over yet! Everyone in Willow Creek is wondering whether the couple will divorce or if they’ll give their marriage a second chance. The Palace hasn’t confirmed anything yet, so it looks like we’ll have to wait longer to know the answer. But the cheating scandal is not the only thing people are talking about. The appearance of the Princess seems to be worsening every day. A papparazzi waiting to take her picture said that Princess Isabella looked ‘too skinny’ and ‘paler than usual.’ Another pap around said that the Queen’s sister looked ‘as if she was sick or something’ and that ‘she didn’t want us to take a picture of her child.’

With the cheating scandal hitting Willow Creek, it’s normal to see the Princess down for a while, but there have been rumors circulating the city stating that the Princess has been having problems to sleep, and that she has been using sleeping pills, maybe more than normal, to fight insomnia. The word ‘adiction’ has been used to refer to the situacion several times, but if the rumors are true, then the situation is worst than what we had imagined. Both the Princess and her daugter, HH Princess Eugenie, weren’t happy to see the paps waiting for them outiside a coffee place. The whole drama, is not only affecting Princess Isabella, but also her daughter, who has been followed around the city nonstop by paps whenever she leaves home to school with her nannies. Although, Princess Eugiene doesn’t live with her father and mother under the same roof, a source close to the royal family claims that the little Princess hasn’t spoke to her father ever since the cheating pictures were posted on the internet. Usually, Princess Eugenie would speak to her father, at least four time a week, but now it seem the Earl is no longer interested on speaking to his daugther, since he’s reportedly ‘not calling her anymore.’ So is this the end of the Earl and Countess marriage? Will Princess Isabella become the second woman in the royal family to end her marriage? As always, only time will tell!

people are saying Princess Eugiene's engagement announcement was better handled then Meghan and Harry's. I kind of agree, Kensington Palace is a hot mess sometimes. I like how Eugiene did the short interview and then gave the people the engagement pictures, not waiting like a good month after. lmao. It was simple and not over the top.

I’m not KP’s biggest fan but I don’t think anything was done wrong with Meghan and Harry. I don’t see how KP handled anything badly. And the Cambridges made us wait for pics so that’s pretty standard.

Christmas & New Years at Sandringham House

Sandringham House is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Country Estate in Norfolk. In the 1960′s, Queen Elizabeth’s & her children would celebrate Christmas at Windsor Castle. Starting in 1988, Windsor Castle was being rewired, so the Royals traveled to Sandringham for Christmas. The Sandringham Estate is set on 24 Hectares (59.3 Acres) of Garden.

Every year before the stay at Sandringham begins, Queen Elizabeth takes an empty pre-scheduled carriage of the train to from London to King’s Lynn Station in Norfolk. In the Carriage is Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, & Immediate Staff. The rest of the British Royal Family will arrive at a specific time on Christmas Eve, depending on their status. Junior Members arrive first & Important Members (Prince Charles & Camilla, The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge & their children, etc.) arrive last.

After all family members have arrived at Sandringham, the Estate can be quite crowded. Due to The Sandringham Estate not being as large as other royal family residences, some family members end up staying in the staff quarters. Staff will transfer from their normal quarters & live in either estate cottages or surrounding villages.

𝑀𝒶𝓇𝓇𝒾𝑒𝒹 𝒞𝑜𝓊𝓅𝓁𝑒𝓈

When the family arrives to the Sandringham Estate, the only family members invited to Sandringham are Married Couples & children. For example, before William & Catherine were married in 2011, the now Duchess was not allowed to attend Christmas at Sandringham. Mike Tindall (Husband of Zara Tindall) or Jack Brooksbank (Husband of Princess Eugenie) were not invited to Christmas at Sandringham, until they were officially married to their wives. The only Royal Member of the Family who has broken this protocol, is Megan The Duchess of Sussex. She attended Christmas at Sandringham, during the year she became engaged to Prince Harry Duke of Sussex.

The First Royal Christmas Tree was introduced to Sandringham House by Her Majesty Charlotte The Queen. The Tradition was kept going by Her Majesty Victoria The Queen & her husband His Royal Highness Albert Prince Consort. The Tradition of having a Christmas Tree has continued onto this day & Queen Elizabeth will let her grandchildren & great grandchildren help decorate the trees. 

The Royal Family has a Large Christmas Tree & also a 30 year old Large Silver Artificial Tree in the Dining Room at Sandringham. All the Christmas decorations  stay up until February to honor Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI who died on Wednesday, February 6th, 1952.

The day of Christmas Eve, each member of the Royal Family will lay out the presents they bought on the trestle table. The gifts are then exchanged during the Afternoon Teatime, when Prince Philip says everyone is allowed to open their gifts. The British Royal Family do have a sense of humor when it comes to giving each other gifts. Members will sometimes give each other joke presents! Example: Kate Middleton once gave Harry a “Grow Your Own Girlfriend” one year! Harry also gave his grandmother a shower cap with the saying “Ain’t life a b**ch.”

♕ 𝐹𝒶𝒸𝓉: Her Majesty does her Christmas Gift & Decorations Shopping at Harrods! The store would stay open after hours so that Queen Elizabeth could shop on her own.

♕ 𝐹𝒶𝒸𝓉: The family’s favorite treat during their Afternoon Christmas Eve Teatime is the Jam Penny Sandwiches. The Jam Penny Sandwiches are jam filled sandwiches that are cut into circles the size of an old English penny. (Size Reference Below)

Besides family, The Royal Staff are even given Christmas gifts from Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip! The week before Christmas, the staff are taken into one of the State Apartments, the Head of Staff announces his annual report of their yearly performance, & the staff are then given their gift. The staff can choose between receiving a gift token or a book token, but in order to receive their gift they must be qualified. The qualification is to been in service of the royal family for over a year & their value increases every year, they serve the royal family. Junior Staff are given a token worth £28 ($36.01) & the token increases up to £35 ($45.02). Besides tokens, the staff is also given Christmas puddings with a greeting card all paid for by the Queen. 1,500 total Christmas puddings are made & distributed.

On Christmas Eve, Prince William & Prince Harry will start up a family & staff game of soccer. They create two opposing teams using their socks: Prince William’s team represents Aston Villa Football Club & Prince Harry’s team represents Arsenal Football Club.

After eating a filling Christmas Day Lunch, the family has 2 choices of After Lunch Activities: Exercise on the Estate or Putting Together Puzzles. The choice to exercise, is to help members digest their food faster & prepare them for Christmas Dinner. The choice to put together Jigsaw Puzzles, is a fun hobby of the Queen’s & the children love it too!

The Royal Family loves Charades! Every year after their Christmas Dinner, the family will get together to play a game of charades with each other. They’ll stay up late into night playing because nobody retires to be before the Queen does.

Every year on Christmas Morning, the British Royal Family attends the Christmas Church Service at St. Mary Magdalene Church. The entire family walks together in a group & is led by Prince Philip but Her Majesty The Queen, is driven in a car to the church. The family attends a private service just for them at 9 A.M & there is a public service at 11 A.M for anyone who wants to attend. For the Public Service, attendees must pass a security check several months before December.

Just like the rest of the families around the world who celebrate Christmas, the British Royal Family have Christmas meals together. Before the family arrives at Sandringham, each member has to practice their French because the Lunch & Dinner menus are in French. Guests are allowed to bring a dish if they choose to.

♕ 𝒟𝒾𝓃𝓃𝑒𝓇: After a long day of festivities, the family will once again join together for a big dinner. Unlike the Christmas Lunch where you order your food, Christmas Dinner is a buffet! Dinner includes Rib Roast, Turkey, Ham, & other delicious dishes. Before dinner begins & the family goes inside the dining room, the senior chef must carve whatever meat is served, present the Queen with a glass of Whiskey, & the Queen says a toast to the family & staff. Children are not allowed at Dinner until they are of proper age of behavior, so the young ones are sent off to the nursery.

The broadcast were not televised like they are today until 1957 & are pre-recorded in a Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace just a few days before Christmas. Every year, the family will join together in a sitting room after lunch (The broadcast takes place at 3PM) to watch the Queen’s broadcast together.

Princess Eugenie's wedding dress carried an inspiring message about self-image

At her royal wedding, Princess Eugenie wore a dress with a low-cut back that revealed a long scar from an operation on her spine, inspiring others with back scars to share photos and feel more comfortable with their bodies.

Eugenie, who had surgery to correct her scoliosis at age 12 according to CNN, worked with designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos on her wedding dress. The low-cut back is deliberate, and meant to show her scar.

She spoke about the design decision in an interview on ITV, saying, "I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it's really special to stand up for that."

Eugenie's decision to refrain from hiding her scar caught the attention of others with scars from scoliosis surgery, who voiced support for Eugenie and spoke about how it was inspiring sight to see.

Eugenie is a patron of the hospital where she received her surgery — the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London — and even invited individuals involved with the hospital's charity to the Windsor Castle grounds for the wedding.

Princess Eugenie's fiancé, Jack Brooksbank, admits he's 'terrified' for upcoming royal wedding

PRINCESS Eugenie is gearing up for her royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank, but while the royal revealed that she was “not stressed” about her big day, her fiancé admitted he feels otherwise.

Brooksbank spoke to the Daily Mail about his upcoming wedding ceremony, and shared that he has been “feeling anxious” about his big day.

“I’ll need to take a few minutes for myself before the speeches because I’m terrified. It’s very exciting but I’m a little bit nervous,” he admitted.

In contrast to her fiancé, Eugenie said that she was nothing but excited for her wedding day in a recent interview with British Vogue.

“I’m not stressed at all,” Eugenie said in the magazine’s September issue. “It’s very nerve-racking because you want it to be perfect but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters.”

And while the soon-to-be bride didn’t give away any details of her wedding ceremony, Brooksbank did reveal that he helped out with some of the wedding planning process.

“I’ve not been kept out of all the planning. I get to decide some things. I’m in charge of drinks and we’ll be serving Casamigos,” said the 32-year-old liquor distributor, who currently works as the UK ambassador for George Clooney and Rande Gerber’s top-shelf tequila brand.

But despite working closely with Clooney, Eugiene’s fiancé could not confirm if the actor and his wife, Amal, would be attending their ceremony.

“I can’t say if George Clooney is coming,” Brooksbank told the Daily Mail.

With their wedding officially a week away, the couple recently celebrated their upcoming union by releasing their royal monogram.

The ornate china set, which includes a miniature teacup and saucer, pillbox, tankard and coaster, features an elegant intertwining “E” and “J” monogram

In addition to the couple’s intertwined monogram, the princess has her own cup which features a solo “E” topped with a golden crown or an “HRH,” which stands for “Her Royal Highness.” Brooksbank has a solo monogram of his own, too, but his “J” is left bare, without a crown.

In other words, the monograms, released last week by the Royal Collection Trust, hint that Eugenie’s fiancé may not receive a royal title while she will continue to carry hers, according to People.

Eugenie and Brooksbank’s royal wedding will take place in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on October 12, where Harry wed Meghan back in May.

It’s such a silly rumour. Eugenie was seen with James Middleton, and Pippa Middleton on separate occasions, happily smiling with them. There’s nothing to suggest she hates them or anything
