Vyjayanthimala (1933- ): Devdas (1955) - Chandramukhi | Sangam (1964) - Radha | Amrapali (1966) - Amrapali | Prince (1969) - Princess Amrita Dubbed, usually by Lata Mangeshkar.
"She’s so stunning, especially when she dances" - anonymous
Barbra Streisand (1942- ): Yentl in Yentl (1983) | Fanny Brice in Funny Girl (1968) and Funny Lady (1975) | Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly! (1969) | Daisy Gamble, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever (1970)
"One can hardly say the word diva before someone is screaming for Barbra Streisand. And really, it’s hard to argue with that. She is chock full of magnetism, to the point where you can hardly look away. Even the weakest material feels astounding in her hands- I can say that with confidence, because I’ve watched Funny Lady XD. What more can I say? Babs is Babs." - anonymous

CORE presents The Co-Op 2023 - Update #03
This is the third and final update announcing the cards for nights three and four of the CORE Co-Op 2023 taking place on April 1st and April 2nd from the Pico Union Project in Los Angeles, California.
April 1st
UltraMantis Black's Tofu Scramble Madness
We’ve dined on Pancakes And Piledrivers. We’ve attended Big Gay Brunches. We’ve even sipped Rosé All Day. But nothing could prepare us for UltraMantis Black’s Tofu Scramble Madness! Six action packed scramble matches and six delicious tofu scramble options.
The opening contest will be a tag team scramble match and participants include: 2022 New Japan Super Junior Tag League participants and recent Impact Wrestling pairing of KUSHIDA and Kevin Knight (not to be confused with the IWF wrestling trainer of the same name). NWA Wrestling’s Miserably Faithful team of Gaagz The Gymp and Sal The Pal. A team that has made a name for themselves up and down the west coast, Eddie Pearl and Ricky Gibson also known as Midnight Heat. And finally, the break out tag team of early 2023 by way of 1983, The OutRunners of Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd.
The second scramble match features six women looking to take the next step in their careers. Managed by the man of the hour, UltraMantis Black, his new discovery Giant Baba Yaga will be wrestling her second match of the weekend. Representing Gatoh Move is Mei Suruga, they’ve recently ventured to CMLL and AEW and Mei will be putting all she has learned to the test in this scramble. KiLynn King is one of the hottest free agents on the American women’s wrestling scene; she’ll look to build on her impressive resume here. A veteran of independent women’s wrestling that has found a home on the west coast and improved exponentially as a wrestler in recent years, Delilah Doom. The God of TJPW Raku brings her effervescent charm to this scramble match. The final participant and likely the betting favorite is Trish Adora, a wrestler that has repeatedly proved their mettle against most of the top names on the independent scene today.
Up next will be another tag team scramble. Kevin Blackwood and Alan Angels are a new pairing that have made a handful of impressive showings on the west coast and are looking for their biggest win yet. Bad Dude Tito and Che Cabrera have done it all on the California independent scene and would love to put their skills on display for an international audience. Prince Nana leads his Embassy pairing of Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona into the madness. Much as their forefathers terrorized the rings of New Japan and the coast of Florida, the Gaspar Brothers have taken no prisoners since appearing in CORE and look to continue their swashbuckling in Los Angeles.
The next scramble will be a special Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling showcase featuring four of the top tag teams in TJPW. First, former challengers for the TJPW Princess Tag Team titles looking to climb their way back into contention, Arisu Endo and Suzume better known as Daisy Monkey. The next team have dominated the preliminary tag team scene in TJPW and are looking for a win in this match to climb the ladder, the duo of Hikari Noa and Nao Kakuta also known as Free WiFi. The third team won the 2022 Max Heart Tag Team Tournament, Hakuchumu of Miu Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi. The final team and the runners up in the 2023 Max Heart Tag Team Tournament, Shoko Nakajima and Hyper Misao who team as Kyoraku Kyomei.
The semi-final match will be a special showcase of many of the wrestlers that helped popularize the Scramble Match format. Up first, from the heavens, it’s Jack Evans. Secondly, the world traveled veteran Matt Sydal. Third, the founder of Paparazzi Productions, Alex Shelley. Fourth will be the wild eyed Mark Briscoe. Perhaps no one in wrestling has more scramble match experience than our last two participants from their time representing Special K, participants five and six are Hydro and Slim J.
And the main event will be a dream tag team scramble match you’ll never see anywhere else but at The Co-Op. Representing the DDT office, two future aces and participants in the 2022 Trios Kingdom tournament, MAO and Yuki Ueno. This match will see the one night only reunion of foundational members of both the Burning and the Sternness factions in All Japan Pro-Wrestling and NOAH, Jun Akiyama and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. In the third corner will be the top faction in CORE, representing The Last Wave will be Josh Alexander and Mr. Takeshita. And finally, led to the ring by The Bunny, it will be The Butcher and The Blade.

Terry Funk's WrestleFest 2023 - 75 Years Of Funk
On September 11th of 1997, Terry Funk celebrated 50 years of the Funk family in Amarillo with Terry Funk’s WrestleFest. Now on April 1st 2023, we celebrate 75 Years Of Funk with Terry Funk’s WrestleFest 2023.
Opening the card will be Athena, Raychell Rose, and Queen Aminata facing off against the truly unpredictable trio of the legendary Aja Kong teaming with the current TJPW Princess Tag Team Champions, the Wasteland War Party of Max The Impaler and Heidi Howitzer.
In Terry Funk’s final match in Japan, he was part of a victorious six man tag team with Japanese shoot style legend Masakatsu Funaki. Honoring this partnership as well as the technical wrestling style his brother Dory Funk, Jr. was so well known for, the second match will see Masakatsu Funaki squaring off with Timothy Thatcher.
Next up is tag team action as Texas native and graduate of the Funking Conservatory Westin Blake reunites with Impact Wrestling star Steve Maclin to take on Mance Warner and Manders.
No mouthpieces allowed in this singles match between Davey Richards and Mark Briscoe.

TAKA Michinoku's These Days 2
One of the seminal events in the history of Japanese professional wrestling, in October 1996 the Michinoku Pro promotion presented a card that would popularly be known as “These Days.” In 2023, The Co-Op closes out the weekend with TAKA Michinoku’s These Days 2.
The opening match will feature a European Rounds match between British wrestling legend Johnny Kidd and one of the top young talents on the American wrestling scene, Titus Alexander. This match-up pays tribute to the contest between Johnny Saint and Naohiro Hoshikawa.
The second match will be a women’s tag team match featuring Tokyo Joshi Pro’s 21000000 tag team consisting of Miyu Yamashita and Maki Itoh taking on JTO’s GIRLS 2 TOP team of Tomoka Inaba and Yuu Yamagata.
Up next, JTO top prospects Ren Ayabe and Fire Katsumi will see how they measure up against the imposing United Empire tag team of Will Ospreay and Jeff Cobb.
In the semi-main event of the evening, the legendary Blue Panther will team with the nephews of the Dynamite Kid, Mark Billington and Thomas Billington to challenge the equally legendary Atlantis who teams with Great Sasuke and Tiger Mask IV. This match-up pays tribute to the Dynamite Kid’s final match when he teamed with Dos Caras and Kuniaki Kobayashi against Mil Mascaras, the original Tiger Mask, and The Great Sasuke.
And in the main event, TAKA Michinoku leads his Just 4 Guys faction with Taichi, DOUKI, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru against the team of Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler YUTA. It will be Just 4 Guys taking on The Blackpool Combat Club.

Checklist for the bro antagonist who lust for his sis
By James Obrien and Prince Ram:
buys her everything under the pretense of being a caring brother
buys her flowers, just ‘cause
drives boys away despite lacking the guts to make a move himself
has alcoholic tendencies specially when his sister is involved
wants to keep her financially dependent of him
holds tight to whatever evidence that she might desire him secretly
is hot aff
is driven insane by guilt and craving
Am I missing something?

Talking about 18th birthday tiaras, why Theodora din't received a tiara while Alexia did?
And also, not a tiara question, but dint knew where to ask, did Marius Borg Høiby received any royal order? At Ingrid Alexandra's birthday gala, he seems to be wearing some kind of official pin
And yes, loved Elisabeth's new tiara. It has beautiful design elements which is rare to see in these days high jewelry tiaras.
Nothing has ever been said about why Princess Alexia received a tiara but Princess Theodora did not. There are 18 years between when Alexia turned 18 in 1983 and when Theodora turned 18 in 2001. The family's financial situation may have been different by 2001 and they couldn't afford to spend that kind of money on a tiara. The family may have still had some hope back in 1983 that the Greek monarchy would be restored so a tiara for Alexia may have seemed more appropriate then. Theodora could have simply preferred a different type of present that she thought would be more useful to her. Really there are a lot of possible reasons and for a princess of a country that hasn't had a monarchy in 50 years, Theodora does alright in the tiara department. She's worn Princess Alexia's Diamond Tiara, the Antique Corsage Tiara, and the Turquoise Daisy Tiara.
Marius Borg Høiby hasn't received any orders but he has a couple medals. I'm not really an orders and medals person but my best guesses are the Royal House Centenary Medal on the left and King Harald V's Jubilee Medal on the right. Anyone please chime in if you know more.
Yes, I loved Princess Elisabeth's tiara and that is probably because it is an antique piece that's new to the family and not a newly made high jewelry tiara. We're calling it the Brabant Festoon tiara and I've got posts about it here and here.

The complete list of films featured in 2021′s “31 Days of Oscar” marathon
What follows is the exhaustive list of all 403 short- and feature-length films featured on this blog over the last thirty-one days for the 31 Days of Oscar marathon. This number is up from last year’s count of 327 and is the second-highest number of films I have ever featured in this marathon (behind the 410 films from 2016). Despite the number, this remains only a fraction of the nearly 5,000 films that have been nominated for Academy Awards. This year’s marathon was harder to plan than usual due to the fact it was presented in alphabetical order - with the exception of any write-ups I did.
BREAKDOWN BY DECADE 1927-1929: 7 1930s: 44 1940s: 63 1950s: 63 1960s: 46 1970s: 25 1980s: 29 1990s: 28 2000s: 25 2010s: 43 2020s: 30
Year with most representation (2020 excluded): 1940 (ten films) Median year: 1964
And now, the list. Best Picture winners and the one (and only) winner for Unique and Artistic Production are in bold. Asterisked (*) films are films I haven’t seen in their entirety as of the publishing of this post.

sooo... pip and emma headcanon?
So, I had to put some thought into this one - behold my result.
The Princess Dragon and The Dragon (better known as Pip & Emma)
There are few ‘true’ siblings on the railways - engines not only related by class and proximity, but also age. Sodor has three such sets - Donald and Douglas, Skarloey and Rheneas, and Pip and Emma.
They were close from birth - they were built right after each other, numbers 43017 and 43018. They were outshopped the same day, and each were the first locomotive they saw once ‘born’.
‘Close’ does not begin to begin to describe the two. From their introduction to service in the 70′s, they were kept as a pair, working trains all over BR’s network as a matched set - where one went, the other followed. Attempts to separate them in order to meet trainset needs typically ended poorly - both units operated well below norms when alone, and often exceeded those same norms when together. By 1983, a notice had been put into BR’s computer system to ensure that they wouldn’t be separated.
Such close proximity is nothing new to engines (look at Donald and Douglas), but with Pip and Emma there was a new twist:
Ask most diesels about being a trailing unit - one that is controlled by the lead engine via Multiple Unit (MU) controls - and they will say that it’s a necessary discomfort. (To sum up many different opinions: It feels weird, and not in a good way. )
Because the HST sets were supposed to permanently run ‘top and tail’ on their trains, BR did design them in such a way as to make MUing more comfortable, and most class 43s have no strong opinions on being MUed.
The key word there, is most.
Pip and Emma - who had spent most of their lives connected to one another in just about every way, including mechanically - began to exhibit some form of telepathy with each other as early as 1985, and by the early 90′s had basically stopped acting as two separate entities.
While they remained two (interconnected) minds, they became basically one body - totally aware of what each other was seeing and feeling at all times.
[They can also sense each other’s thoughts, but wisely have kept that on the down-low, and have said little on exactly how close they are.]
-(They’re totally drift compatible, btw)-
-
Now, after decades of basically living in one another’s heads, the sisters are capable of sensing each other even when disconnected, which has caused no small amount of shock for bystanders when one of them is in for maintenance, and the other one is miles away on a train, but they’re still talking to each other.
-
They originally gained nicknames back in the late 70′s, when a cracked exhaust manifold caused Emma’s engine to roar loudly at idle. Pip’s somewhat demure attitude at the time quickly gained them the nickname of “The Princess and The Dragon”.
This nickname lasted almost three whole years, until Pip learned what a dragon actually was, decided that they were much more exciting than princesses, and began referring to herself as ‘the dragon’ as well. Emma, being an enabler, agreed with her sister totally on this point, and the two of them essentially gaslit members of staff at BR into believing that they had always been referred to as “The Dragon and The Dragon”. This nickname has stuck ever since - including after their move to Sodor, but nobody on the Island knows why they’re called that, so it doesn’t get as much use unless they’re feeling quite ornery, at which point they become insistent on being called by their “titles”.
Also, in the 1980′s, some true Agent of Chaos in the Western Region taught Pip how to growl and roar like a “real” dragon. Naturally this meant that Emma learned that skill as well, and the ‘Dragon Sisters’ have occasionally expressed their frustrations by roaring into the night when they think nobody is around.
On more than one occasion, this has absolutely scared the living daylights out of some poor shunter parked just out of sight.
(It’s a ridiculously accurate sound too, and isn’t helped at all by both sisters having seen ‘jurassic park’ enough times to be able to mimic the t-rex’s roar. When coming out of two little express engines, this sound can and has startled bigger engines off the rails)
-
Moving to Sodor happened in the 90′s. The newly independent North Western Railway wanted a diesel express service for running into London, and The Fat Controller (the Third) found an agreeable pair of West Coast Main Line HSTs in London.
That agreeable pair was promptly killed less than a week later in the Southall Rail Crash, forcing Stephen Hatt to go back to Great Western Trains for a different set.
GWT, now down a pair of 43s, wouldn’t sell him any more, which forced him to go to GNER, where he found Pip and Emma, who jumped at the chance to go back to the strange island full of steam engines that they’d visited before.
Their arrival on Sodor doesn’t go perfectly, as some engines who shall remain nameless *cough cough* Oliver, Douglas. *cough* are still opposed to new diesels - *for somewhat* understandable reasons. (It’s 1998 guys - stop stereotyping. They’re not all evil.)
However, Pip and Emma really don’t help avoid suspicion when they intentionally act “evil” and “scheming” whenever certain engines are about.
BoCo and Bear, who are always down to psychologically torment idiots, get involved too, and the prank goes wildly out of hand when everyone on Thomas’ branch line (except a very unamused Daisy) starts panicking about ‘soul stealing, mind reading, red-eyed, diesel electric monsters!’
The prank is eventually brought to heel after an embarrassing incident at Kellsthorpe road station involving tinfoil, Annie, Percy, and one of the engines from the Electric Branch. The Fat Controller - once he learns all the facts and can speak without laughing, is merely glad that Pip and Emma are integrating well to the railway.
[Note - this does totally ignore RWS book 42 “Thomas and his Friends”, which states that Pip and Emma arrive on the island in 2011. This is because that book is dumb. The last time any main line engines are mentioned in the RWS before then is in 1995 in “Thomas and the Fat Controller’s Engines”. There is zero reason for the NWR to have waited almost 20 years to buy an HST set. It makes no sense. Also, it ruined a very good Railway Series fanfiction on the Sodor Island Forums, which had to be taken down because it defied continuity. So I say they showed up in the late 90′s. Deal with it.]
-
In 2007, Pip pleads/threatens the paint shop staff at the works, and gets herself and Emma a Christmas present: A giant, fire-breathing dragon painted on both of their cabs. The works’ paint shop staff consists of a bunch of guys who customize old cars in their free time, and a bunch of young apprentices who play D&D in their off-hours. The resulting Dragons are some of the most amazing vehicle art ever applied to something that isn’t a 1970′s Chevy Van, and actually win several awards from hot rod magazines.
More concerningly, the dragons do not appear to be stationary, as multiple pictures taken by trainspotters show the dragons on different parts of the engines at different times. Pip and Emma have not been asked, but one can assume that the Dragon Sisters might have more than just flashy paint, they may actually have real dragons now.

BERNS NIGHT (Revisited)
Call the Midwife AU Crown Jewels fic (this one actually has Bernie in! She must have been in panto or something in January missed a few chapters)
CHAPTER FOUR: There In Thy Scanty Mantle Clad.
“There, in Thy Scanty Mantle Clad, Thy Snawie Bosom Sunward Spread.” To a Mountain Daisy by Robert Burns 1786
"I Hear Your Footsteps in the Streets, it Won't Be Long Until We Meet. It's Obvious." Oblivious by Aztec Camera 1983
“Ouch, be careful!”
“Well stand still, Paddy,” Trixie scolded, “and I won’t accidentally prick you.”
“Is this really necessary?” whined the publican, not for the first time that hour.
“You want it the right length, don’t you?” admonished the determined dressmaker.
“That’s too short.” Paddy grumbled, swaying unsteadily on the rickety foot stool.
“No, it’s not.”
Patsy interrupted the squabbling confirming the kilt should hang from the top of the hip and finish at the top of the knee.
“This one is too high.” Paddy fiddled with the waistband.
“No, it’s not! It sits at the navel.” Getting up from her knees, Trixie playfully poked Paddy in the belly button.
The temporary male model wasn’t amused, and Delia felt some sympathy. “Right Doc, take it off now, so Chummy can alter it.”
Paddy hopped off the footstool, the green and blue checked woollen garment swaying around his thighs. He grabbed his jeans and headed out of Patsy’s studio towards the downstairs loo. Patsy, Delia and Trixie didn’t wait until he had closed the door behind him before they burst into giggles.
Saturday 25th January 2020
Bernie wouldn’t want anyone to accuse her of being ungrateful, but she would have much rather spent her birthday at work. To be back in Poplar-on-Tweaven working behind the bar with Paddy rather than traipsing around Newcastle city centre with Trixie.
Saturday’s were usually fun at the Crown. Sundays you could always predict to be busy, due to the temptation of Violet’s Sunday lunches and the let’s have a nice day in the country crowd. Saturday’s were more unpredictable a lot depending on whether there was a match on. The football crowd had made Bernie nervous at first, but she had taken her lead from Val, who seemed to know the right mix between flirting and being one of the lads. She even surprised herself with her knowledge of the offside-rule and recognising a few players when they came in during the off-season.
“So, what about this one?” Trixie’s irritated voice broke through Bernie’s wistfulness. They were standing in Fenwick’s department store. Her friend was holding up a black mini dress bearing a large faint gold and red criss-cross pattern.
“Isn’t it a bit tartanie?” Bernie screwed up her nose.
Trixie tried very hard not to give anything away. “What’s wrong with tartan, your Scottish, don’t you just love tartan?”
Bernie bit her lip and tried to keep a level of calmness in her voice, “I am not that kinda Scottish.”
Trixie clanged the hanger back onto the rail in frustration. Bernie felt a twinge of guilt for exasperating her well-meaning friend.
“I will probably just wear my good jeans and a sparkly top, Trixie.” Bernie tried to reassure, with little success.
“But, Paddy is taking you out somewhere nice tonight, surely you want to look the part?”
Bernie took a deep breath, “The part?...the part of Paddy’s date! I am thinking jeans and a nice wee top will do just fine, Trixie.”
It was several hours later, Bernie was looking at herself in the oak Cheval mirror in the corner of her bedroom. The little black dress with the red and gold criss-crosses did look quite nice on and it did have pockets, so that was a bonus. She heaved up her 40 denier black tights one last time. Why did they never make the small, small enough? She smiled, knowing if Chummy were in the room she would ask why they didn’t make extra large, extra enough.
A frown reflected back at her as she fiddled with her hair. Trixie had insisted on styling it with a mountain of product she had brought back from Boots. As a result, it now seemed to flick out in all directions. The would-be stylist had been very pleased with the finished article, and Bernie had smiled and made positive noises. She really wanted to put a brush through it and tie it back in a scrunchie like she did most days. Trixie’s sixth sense clicked in and she growled, “Leave it.”
They set out, tottering the short distance from Bernie’s cottage to the Crown Inn. Arm-in-arm, more for stability than out of friendship. Trixie in nine months of living just outside of Poplar had still not mastered walking on cobbles in heels. Bernie more used to ankle boots and trainers had let Trixie talk her into buying a pair of black below-the-knee boots in the January sales. Until today, the labels hadn’t been removed. She was convinced the young saleswoman and her friend had been in collusion. Eventually the overwhelming smell of leather, shoe polish and sweaty feet on an empty stomach had rendered the usually stubborn Bernie vulnerable. Well-honed sales techniques and Trixie’s promise of a Greggs’ vegan sausage roll to offset the purchase of leather eventually triumphed. These boots were definitely not made for walking, Bernie decided. She was however glad of the extra fabric as the north wind whistled around her shorter than usual hem line.
As if sensing her friend's awkwardness, Trixie squeezed her arm a little more tightly. “You look amazing, just don’t scuff those killer, fuck-me boots on the cobbles.”
This warning unsurprisingly had the opposite effect than intended, as Bernie stuttered to an abrupt halt and dropped her friend's arm.
“What?” Bernie shrieked in horror. Trixie grabbed back hold of her stabilizer and dragged her along, laughing so infectiously that Bernie couldn’t help but succumb.
“Why are you so tarted up anyway for a night in the Crown?”
“It’s your birthday and I thought you would be having a drink before heading off with Paddy. Just because it is a country pub doesn’t mean everyone has to always wear wellies and a jumper with a hole in it.”
Bernie’s mock indignation at Trixie’s jibe resulted in a snort as she tried to hold in a laugh. They were still sniggering as Trixie lunged forward and steadied herself by slapping her hand heavily against the inn’s bay window. She pulled herself up and then slapped her hand against the window one more time. Bernie, who was still giggling, just shrugged at her friend's clumsy behaviour.
“Bit slippy there, have to tell Paddy about that.” Trixie straightened up and smiled nervously.
“OK.” Bernie nodded somewhat bemused as she pushed open the large wooden doors of the old inn.
Bernie later couldn’t recall if it was her eyes that first alerted her that something was different; the darkness giving the game away. Or it could have been her ears as they picked up the deep drone of the bagpipes. Maybe it was neither. Her skin tingling with goosebumps was more than likely the first sign that all was not as it should be.
After that initial physical reaction, her mind seemed to give up trying to make any sense of anything. It all became a blur. She remembered Trixie pushing her in the back and into the bar and placing something around her shoulders. There had definitely been cheering and then a very tuneless rendition of Happy Birthday accompanied by the bagpipes and a small band.
The pipes - bashful Kevin and his wee dog. At first she had thought Paddy or somebody had bought her a pet for her birthday. The poor wee thing was used to sitting and looking cute outside the town hall. Raising a paw every time someone dropped a coin in Kev’s mug. The animal had become a little overwhelmed by the commotion and sheer volume of people. Realizing that the lady who had just come through the door must be somehow responsible for the change in ambience; he could not resist jumping up at the new arrival with great enthusiasm. His owner was horrified, but unsure what was more important; to reprimand his charge or keep playing. Fortunately, the situation was resolved when a large pair of hands gently scooped up the tiny mongrel and calmed him down by whispering in his ear and letting him lick his face.
Bernie remembered Violet telling Reggie to take the excited guest through the back for a biscuit. The commotion had given Bernie time to take it all in, the low lighting, the table centres made up of thistles and blue and purple hyacinths, each with a thick white candle, flames dancing a jig on every table. The black, royal blue and red tartan tablecloths and a larger trestle table covered with a different checked pattern, a lighter blue and green with gold.
Bernie wasn’t given long to take it all in, as she was overwhelmed by hugs and kisses. Mostly from people she knew like the Noakes’, Fred, Jane, Phyllis and Julia along with a few she didn’t know, which was a bit disconcerting. Along with the displays of affection, cards and packages that were also pressed into her. Finding it very difficult to accept all the hugs from her friends and free herself from those who weren’t, Bernie found it impossible to balance all the gifts too. Fortunately Trixie had been prepared for this and took on the role of a lady-in-waiting, as if Bernie had suddenly been crowned the Princess of Poplar. The village's newest resident relished her role as best friend, relieving Bernie of her burdens as swiftly as she received them. Trixie may have had a colourful life, but she did like to be of use.
It was Val who finally rescued her from the wall of wellwishers. Taking Bernie by the hand, she took her behind the bar and up the stairs to the living accommodation. “Are you ready for your present?”
Exasperated by the recent unexpected events and not knowing what to expect next, Bernie just shrugged her shoulders. Secretly she was enjoying the calm of the Turner flat and not being the centre of attention. Val gave her a quick squeeze and told her, “Happy birthday, chick.” Opening the door to Paddy’s living room she added winking,
“You’re welcome.”

Watch the Star Wars Movies
Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace
Released to theaters in 1999 as the first installment of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, The Phantom Menace is the earliest set film in the timeline and kicks off the story of Anakin Skywalker, a precocious child who seems preternaturally gifted in the ways of the Force, a mystical, magical power wielded by heroes and villains alike in the Star Wars universe. You’ll meet the Jedi, an order of knights who use the Force for good, and the Sith, acolytes of the dark side of the Force who are usually trying to take control of the galaxy. It takes place about 32 years before the Death Star is destroyed.
Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones
In the prequel set of three's subsequent film, set around 10 years after the occasions of The Phantom Menace, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) has developed into a sullen young person and is proceeding with his Jedi preparing under Obi-Wan Kenobi (played by prequel set of three MVP Ewan McGregor). He likewise falls head over heels in love for Galactic Republic Senator Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman) and begins to allow his rising indignation to improve of him.
Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith
It's Anakin versus Obi-Wan in the prequel finale, as Anakin tumbles to the clouded side and in the long run turns into the awful Darth Vader. While he's off engaging his coach, Padmé brings forth twins, whom she names Luke and Leia. In the interim, the Republic is destroyed and the accursed Empire has its spot. The film happens around three years after the occasions of Attack of the Clones.
A Star Wars Story
A starting point story for the special one galactic dealer, Han Solo, which happens around 10 years before the occasions of A New Hope. Here Alden Ehrenreich plays youthful Solo, as he embarks to make his fortune and meets future Star Wars backbones Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian en route.
Maverick One: A Star Wars Story
Set preceding the first Star Wars set of three, Rogue One is an independent film that recounts the account of a gathering of Rebel spies who attempt to take the designs for the Empire's new clear-cut advantage – the Death Star. Maverick One will present your first genuine look at the Rebel Alliance, which has shaped to retaliate against the Empire.
Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope
Here it is, the first Star Wars film, and it includes the characterizing variants of a significant number of the establishment's most well known characters, including energetic ranch kid Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), daring Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), and cocksure dealer Han Solo (Harrison Ford). Luke goes on an excursion of self-disclosure, and everybody unites trying to bring down the Death Star.
Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back
To a great extent considered the best of the Star Wars films (and in light of current circumstances), The Empire Strikes Back happens around three years after the occasions of A New Hope and finds our legends on the run from merciless Imperial powers. An insightful manikin named Yoda appears at train Luke in the methods of the Force, and Darth Vader uncovers reality to Luke that … 40-year-old spoiler alert … he is Luke's dad! (One of the negative marks of watching the movies in sequential request is that this exemplary bend gets demolished numerous movies ahead of time.)
Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi
The last portion of the first set of three happens about a year after the occasions of Empire Strikes Back and includes the last a conflict between Luke, Vader, and Vader's lord – Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), a Sith Lord who has been avoiding around the edges of the establishment since the start. Additionally included: A subsequent Death Star, a lot of brutal (however charming) teddy-bear-like animals called Ewoks, and an end to the Skywalker adventure that remained until …
Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens
32 years after the first cast wrapped up their fight against the Empire (and three years after Star Wars maker George Lucas sold his organization, Lucasfilm, to Disney), Hamill, Fisher and Ford got back to the crease for chief J.J. Abrams' continuation of the adventure. The center, notwithstanding, went to another age of legends and scoundrels, including Rey (Daisy Ridley), a helpless garbage dealer with a solid association with the Force, and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), a covered hazard whose bloodline is profoundly established in Star Wars legend. The film happens around 30 years after the occasions of Return of the Jedi.
Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi
Set straightforwardly after the occasions of The Force Awakens, Rey proceeds with her Jedi preparing under a hesitant Luke and structures an improbable bond with a tangled Kylo Ren, while the remainder of the Resistance – a Rebel Alliance-esque branch directed by Leia – retaliates against the First Order, the underhanded system that ascended to supplant the fallen Empire.
Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker
Sovereign Palpatine has returned. (Truly!) And it's up to Rey and her spin-off set of three companions Poe (Oscar Isaac) and Finn (John Boyega) to save the universe unequivocally. Appearances are made by essentially every living adventure character (and surprisingly a portion of the dead ones), and the story wraps up the Skywalker adventure in epic design. Until further notice, in any case.
Star Wars Movies arranged by Release
star-wars-9-the-ascent of-skywalker-daisy-ridley-rey-chewieImage by means of Lucasfilm
Watching the Star Wars films in the request for their delivery likewise has its advantages. You get a portion of the establishment's most grounded films front and center, and a few of its huge shocks are saved for their appropriate uncover. The delivery request is:
1. Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977)
2. Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

A few fans additionally propose a third method to watch the movies, now and again called "the cleaver request," which includes beginning with A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, at that point returning to watch the prequel set of three, preceding getting back to the regular delivery request with Return of the Jedi and proceeding to The Force Awakens from that point.
