#Priest raincode

I found some rather interesting unused sprites in Raincode. MASSIVE SPOILER WARNING.

Looking in the files for Raincode I noticed that a few characters have sprites that are never seen in game but the same expression is shown in a cinematic like this Shinigami sprite.

I'm confident that Shinigami never shows this sprite in the whole game but I distinctly remember a cutscene where she flatted herself onto the ground in chapter 1.

So this gives credence to my theory that the developers made all the sprites and story events first but when it came to making dialogue and cutscenes, the devs decided that certain scene worked better as a cinematic with subtitles rather than an ingame text conversation and the sprites that would have been used in that scene did not show up.

I don't know why these sprites are still in the game files if they are never used but whatever. I took what I believe to be all the unused sprites from Raincode and paired them with the scene that they would have been in. I'm confident that I have pulled every unused sprite but if I did miss one someone can correct me on it.

Also, MASSIVE END GAME SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEATEN THE GAME DO NOT CLICK.

Only 4 out of the 11 sprites Karen has are seen in game. It's likely that most if not all of the play was going to be purely shown through ingame dialogue but they made a bunch of illustrations for the story of the play and cutscenes with subtitles. What interests me the most is the second to last sprite as it looks like Karen when her lips touched the poisoned cup and she is about to to vomit blood.

These Priest sprites were likely used for when Yuma tried to talk to him in the abandoned village and the he tried to attack Yuma.

These Yakou sprites might have been intended for the scene where Yuma meets him in the Homunculus Testing Site.

This might be a stretch but I think this Kurumi sprite was to be used in this scene where Yuma shuts off the rain maker machine and Kurumi collapses due to being exposed to sunlight.

That's all the sprites that I believe are never seen in the game. It's pretty cool to leftover content like this and get a feel for how the development of this game went.

Here’s some more Rain Code memes, this time featuring Melami’s stupid jokes and Aphex’s rage fits. I’ve also tried to make Pucci memes for her fans out there, but it’s been slightly harder for me to do so. I don’t know, maybe it’s just a skill issue on my part. I’ll definitely work on it.

"Hell yeah, little bitch! C'mere!!!" Well, that one way way to greet your sister! Kaede and Shuichi watched the, ah, 'touching' reunione between the Irumas as they hugged each other. By request of Miu to 'act as her friends', they met...a suprising figure at the train station. When Miu mentioned she had an older sister, both Kaede and Shuichi expected a similar 'bitchy inventory' type like Miu.

So to see a crass nun of all things instead a bit of a shock. Still, seems like their personalities were fairly similar. Upon noticing both Kaede and Shuichi, the nun grinned and waved to them.

"Oh? See these are the two you got hooked around your finger? Name's Mui Iruma of the Metal Fox Church. Though everyone calls me Sister Vixen, soon to be manager of the first ever Death Metal Choir!!" Death Metal Choir? Before they could really ask, Vixen walked up to Kaede with a puzzled look on her face.

"O-oh? Um...hi? I'm Kaede Akamatsu and I att-"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, shut it for a quick sec." Turning to Miu, Vixen pointed at Kaede's chest and shouted accusingly.

"Hey, what gives?! You said this bitch had mosquito tits! These clearly ain't mosquito sized! Hell, they'll give your udders a run for their money!"

"H-heeeeeeey!!! U-untrueeeee!!!!" Miu complained, looking very flushed from the insult...all while Kaede wished that she had just opted to say no to Miu. Shuichi started to give her a pat on the back to calm her down, only to flinch back from Vixen suddenly looking at him.

"A-ah? I'm Shuichi? Good to meet you?" A sly, foxy, smile came onto Vixen's face.

"Damn, and this must be the little bitchboy you brag about milking on the 'reg....nice~" Walking up to Shuichi, she started to stroke his chin. "Say, baby, forget her saggy shits and spend the night with me! I'm no priest but I'd love to hear your confessions all night~" As the detective began to babble and blush from how forward she was, Vixen waved her hand and began to chuckle.

"Yeah, right! Sike!! You're cute as shit, but I ain't opening Heaven's gates so easily...least not without dinner first~ Kyahahahahaaha~" As Vixen lost herself in a roar of laughter, both Shuichi and Kaede turned to glare at a shrinking Miu, who was still reeling from the saggy tits comments.

Yeah, this was gonna be a long day.

I don't think much about danganronpa shipping anymore (my brain is now just permanently rotating enoshima, kamukura, komaeda, ouma and kiibo there like rotisserie chickens instead, i am TOO BUSY!!!), so rain code it is: yumayomi/kokohell/the japanese side calls it yumayomi ig and the english side does not call it anything because no one except me and like 2 other people care. yuma & yomi are just so objectively hilarious as a duo and the possibilities of putting them in Situations are fucking endless nobody does it like they do it. every day another yuma and yomi au idea establishes itself in my mind i am running out of storage room i have so many other things i should care about that aren't wacky rain code yaois but guess what i cannot they won't let me

zero hesistation ougoku danganronpa like what is you people's PROBLEM??? "it's abusive" jesse what the fuck are you talking about. Ouma did not "manipulate" him Gokuhara knew exactly what he was doing. Ouma explicitly told him his plans for the Insect Meet and Greet in the FTE's right before the event, and Gokuhara got mad at him because he lied about liking bugs, (which Ouma had to do because you've all seen how Gokuhara reacts to people that don't. you've seen it) NOT because he suddenly realized he was being manipulated or something. So many people dismiss the sheer amount of agency Gokuhara actually had in chapter 4, in favour of painting the situation as just "poor stupid baby gonta got tricked into murder by the big bad ouma :((((" while. he is not STUPID (HE IS LITERALLY A SCIENTIST??) he was not COERCED into his crimes, he was a WILLING ACCOMPLICE!!!!!! I FEEL LIKE I'M LOSING MY GODDAMN MIND!!!!! He did it in a misguided attempt at mercy killing his classmates after finding out the world got fucked and everything sucks now. There are multiple pieces of dialogue that highly imply Ouma did in fact also want to mercy kill the class - which also makes sense as it would end the killing game (you know his. main. true. goal.) This would mean that he only started his plan to become the “mastermind” after Gonta told him to not die with him <- this one's quoted from my favourite dr theory blog jacksmusesdrv3 hello hava good day I couldn't find another way to word this myself. "Ouma faked being sad Gokuhara's about to be/got executed in front of him" his reaction literally parallels Kuzuryuu's to Pekoyama's death buddy. buddy. Ouma's entire thing is that he lies about lying about lying about lying WHY are you taking his word at face value why are you believing whAT THE LIAR IS TELLING YOU?????? WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING. PUT ME OUT OF MY FUCKING MISERY I CANNOT TAKE THIS. Easily Yuma, beating literally all of dr's protags (though dr1 Naegi has second place. I love you Naegi Makoto). Where do I even start? I think I'm too tired after the above rant to articulate myself anymore and I think if I wasn't that essay would take an entire week to finish lmao.

Here's a headcanon I have about Raincode to soothe all our hearts

major spoilers for Raincode up ahead

after the epilogue research was done on how to help bring back the defective homunculi that had died and I'd say that after a year or two it succeeded

so obviously all the people that had committed crimes were punished but I feel like some punishments were varied such as the priest receiving jail time and the three girls from chapter 2 receiving a lesser punishment because while they did outright murder someone it was also the Peacekeepers fault for not doing anything about Karen murdering Aiko

also I'm going to be honest, I most likely only came up with this headcanon because I ship Aiko with Yoshiko and Waruna with Kurane and I just wanted all of them to be alive and gay again
