This is for all the ones that were told "It's just a phase"
This is for all the femmes who were told to "man up"
This is for all the mascs who were told to "be more ladylike"
This is for the "they/them is only plural"
For being told our love is innatural
This is for the stares
This is for the subtle jabs
For the uncomfortable family dinners
For the fear of coming out
For not feeling right in the shoes society tells you to fit.
I see you.
I am so proud of you
We are one and infinite
We are Pride.

He Bled Out In My Arms…
Are you proud of me mother?
I killed your son
Your beautiful baby boy is dead
And he bled out in my arms
I’m the thing you see behind his glassy eyes these days
His body is my puppet
And he’s dead dead dead
And my smiles are so much wider these days
Pretty soon I’ll start turning the corpse
Into something so much more suitable
A Frankenstein monster of all the things that you don’t want me to be
A chest that isn’t flat
The soft skin and feminine face
His voice, so rough and raspy
Will turn soft and you won’t hear him anymore
You won’t see him anymore
I’ll have erased your son off the face of the earth
Are you proud of me mother?
I’ve killed your son
He dead, I killed him
He’s dead
He’s dead
Your son is dead
Don’t hold on to the past
I killed it.
The past is dead.
Your son is dead.
I killed him.
And I was smiling all the while.

Hello my fellow Aroaces? Aroacians? Aroacelings? Idk...
Tomorrow is the day I write two poems, one for the AlloAros and one for the AlloAces among us, but should I write a third that combines the two poems into an Aroace Poem? - Mod V.

I say with Pride
I say with pride that
I have seen her each day
She picks up her pen with her soul tightly packed or —
Her computer screen lights up with the same power as the city lights
One word and then, another
A thought onto a page for you to feel
When she extends her arm towards you, take notice
Because in her hand, there is a note that reads the following,
I am an electric sensation, a cosmic being
And I see you and my pride for you is immeasurable
Immeasurable like the —
Stars in the sky
The door that stands with splinters
An artist’s dream
The patchwork world of stolen memories
Immeasurable like the —
Spot I buried my heart
The shifting and changing plasma
The body that is mine
And like the sweet summer children.
And after saying what she feels,
She sits on the grass, all alone, the world under her
Do not be surprised,
When she looks up and sees them.
this is a poem dedicated to @poemsofanentomologist, the poet of all time. for this month of june, she had written so many poems, all dedicated to the phenomena of being queer. a poem for each day of the month. her poems have touched so many, and each one of them is so beautiful. as this month is coming to a close, i write this poem to victoria, a poem about her and her pride poems. victoria, i hope you like this <3. i am not a poet, not like you are, but let it be known that i tried my best trying to capture all of this in writing.

A bittersweet poem in honor of pride month (as it comes to a close)
My family tree contains
addicts, criminals, and racists
yet I am the family shame.
I am the uncomfortable topic
my parents avoid
at family dinners,
I am the stifled snicker
from old high school friends
that see me at the store,
I am the frightened glance
from mothers afraid
my existence will corrupt,
and l'll be the tears
that roll down my granny's face
while she prays for me to change
every Sunday at the altar
where an adulterer forgives
the rapists and the murderers
while condemning my love
as the greatest sin to exist.
Yet no matter what they think I am
I will ignore everything they make me,
because no matter what it is
I am happier being me
than they are pretending to be them.

cross my heart
i am not the evil you've been searching for
i've made my peace with God
i suggest you do the same
because flowers are planted
young people die
your words carved into someone's heart
say what you told me
say it to the grieving families
say it to the tombstones
and if it is sin
then let it be known my sin was love
yours was hate

in 2013, i was thirteen
and the internet spoke
it said i couldn’t be me
because i was too young
to really know.
so i convinced myself
that i was someone im not
and for seven years i lied
to myself and to everyone
that i was straight.
in 2018, i was eighteen
and the internet spoke
i was now old enough
to know my self.

Companies rolled in their queer flags, and took down their pride sections, pushing us away like every other day. Only using us for profit, a quick buck from 'pride merch'. Sure we knew they only had malicious intentions, but we hope and hope it will change each year. Hope they won't use us for money, but they always do.

The scent of you is in my hair
I'm in a state of disrepair
My makeup smeared halfway across your face,
Your love's as wild as the flowers rising up between the towers keeping late night drunken drivers in their place
Started out as simple fun
But I knew you were the one,
Tonight my arms have found their home around your waist

Pride Poems Day #4 Theme: Transgender
Children of the Stars
Midnight.
I’m alone in my bed.
I get up stretch, and head outside.
Change into my favorite hoodie,
Walk to the field by my house.
Sit under the powerline, pull out a sheet of paper
How to see the Children of the Stars Step One: On a clear night, go out to a place where the sky is open & visible Step Two: Make sure you are alone, only certain people can see them Step Three: Look Up.
I look around,
I am alone.
I look up,
And I see them
They dance and laugh among themselves
One glows pink, but she’s wrapped in blue
Another glows blue, but he’s clawing at the pink surrounding him
and handing it to her
There’s a yellow one dancing by themself on the horizon,
One flickers between so many colors it’s hard to tell what they are
A red and green band plays music in the corner
All around there are so many
Colors abound.
Some are gray, with only the faintest hint of color glowing from within
They haven’t yet realized they are children of the stars
Some people want to kill them, hurt them, twist them inside out
They haven’t realized they are killing the children of the stars
I’ll remember you, Children of the Stars
Never let another sun set
Where you aren’t loved ever again
I'll love you, Children of the Stars
For as long as I am alive,
There will never be a sunset
Where you aren’t loved ever again

the girl I could not love
she is the sea but I do not swim
so I admire her from afar as if drawn by tides and pulled by currents but I am fearful of the waves
I do not wish to drown.
(I would. drown, that is. I would plunge and never resurface, lose myself washed over and away by the ocean)
so I stand on the shore - salt in my lungs and sand in my heart - isolated on this beach
alone on the island, in love with the sea

When Time is Unlike a Sonnet
being Queer feels dangerous. I dread back to 14 (still dancing, winsome wincing smiles, still queer) when I found the fear. Being here, however, even in this liberal bubble popping shot through near
familiar street corners turning memorials, haunts me, through the lineages of queer kin that existed we who exist, despite deferrals claiming that's enough. To be smudged our color explodes twisted —
like great turning jellyfish swarms thrive catastrophic in the depth and diversity of deepsea oceans weird beauty. Neon frills and fins swim whirlpooling in volta formation found within found family herds
I want to spin and grind, to catch all careening. A love so dangerous. With every queer being.
On this dancefloor from the seafloor in a world/time on fire.
