President Murmu appoints new Governors in nine states

President Droupadi Murmu has appointed new Governors in nine states and a new Lieutenant Governor in Puducherry.

Former Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde has been appointed Governor of Rajasthan while former Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma has been appointed Governor of Telangana.

President Droupadi Murmu to launch Ayushman Bhav campaign today

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the ‘Ayushman Bhav’ campaign on Wednesday through a virtual event. Hopefully this will signal a significant leap towards achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and ensuring healthcare for all.

The ‘Ayushman Bhav’ campaign is a comprehensive nationwide healthcare initiative. It aims to provide saturation coverage of healthcare services, reaching every village and town. This initiative builds upon the success of the Ayushman Bharat program.

The campaign is a collaborative effort spearheaded by gram panchayats in coordination with other stakeholders including the Department of Health, other government departments, and local elected bodies in the rural and urban areas. The core objective is to extend comprehensive healthcare coverage to every village and town, transcending geographical barriers.

New Delhi: In a grand ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu appointed Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India for his third term. The BJP-led NDA secured its third consecutive term with 293 Lok Sabha seats, with BJP winning 240 seats.

30 Cabinet Ministers, 36 Ministers of State (MoS), and 5 MoS with independent charge from the BJP and its allies in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) also swore-in during the event. The President administered the oaths of office and of secrecy to the Council of Ministers. An official statement confirmed Narendra Modi’s appointment as Prime Minister and listed the new Cabinet members.
