──the smile hastened on her lips at the sight of her grandchildren —she may not be overly fond of the fact that they call her granny, making her feel ancient, but she is very enamored with the duo otherwise. perhaps, she is going to be a better grandma than she ever was a mother; many factors contribute to this, and the fact that she is in a better place, financially, for her also plays a huge part ( Stella has always been materialistic, selfish when it comes to her indulgence and luxuries she allows herself ). “oh, my darlings,” she cooed softly as she noticed them sniffling and sneezing, stroke Lilou’s hair and kissed Beau’s chubby cheek. she made to help Elizabeth lift Beau to the high chair if she allowed her, aware that her daughter shouldn’t really be lifting them given that she is well into the first trimester of her pregnancy, almost in the second now, if she wasn’t mistaken.

once the twins were settled, she sat back down and took a better look at her daughter. she could tell that she wasn’t in a good mood; perhaps, tired would cover it, even though she suspected there was more to it —Liz had defended her father fiercely to her the first time they met, every accusation she would bestow upon him, her daughter would find something to make an excuse for it or counter, so much she had given up talking about her husband, seeing as she wouldn’t sway the other’s opinion, so now she imagined the betrayal that came to light had left her heartbroken ( again, she was only drawing her own conclusions based on Liz’s reaction when she found out about it, too ).

“not yet,” she joked with a light laugh, even though she wasn’t entirely certain that her daughter would appreciate this humor. she had beat up Vivienne, again, but this time nobody else was there to call the cops, Claude had to save the other woman himself. she was about to speak when she noticed Liz’s nosebleed and she paused. “I can go order for us,” she offered, smiling a little reassuringly at Beau when he said 'momma' when he noticed her being unwell, reached out to caress his head. “and you can take a moment to rest,” the older blonde added after a moment. “what do you want to have?” there was a lot they had to talk about it, still, but first she wanted her to feel better before she would bring up her father’s appearance and every revelation that had come with him showing up, seemingly, out of the blue.

⸻ Despite the fiasco that turned out the Thanksgiving, Elizabeth decided to chat a little with the man who seemed more reasonable than her parents, her grandfather. At the least, the end of this day wasn't as bad as it became. She agreed to meet with him on the other's day without the twins so they could have a better relationship granddaughter-grandfather, because with the toddlers around, they were a certain distraction and they couldn't have a moment alone without any interruptions. ⎯ Liz wanted to move after how things ended on the holiday, in reality, she always wanted to move out to a new place and not live on a place her mother gifted her.

The problem is the blonde didn't have energy to even think of it, she felt so heartbroken for the man that never deserved her love, her father. The days was difficulty because she knew her toddlers were very attached to their grandfather, and he was as a matter of fact, better grandfather than he ever did to be his father. She couldn't face Claude, and they were neighbors. Every time the twins spend the time with their grandfather she requested for her closed bestie or Alex to meet with her father to hand him the twins.

She was in her bed, when she received a call from the daycare saying the twins were feeling unwell, and she went to pick them up early, in her black sweatpants, a black shirt of Alex, that was oversized on her, and black flip flop, and a baseball cap of NY. Her outfit hid very well the now bump that was starting to show off, but still was 'small'. She entered on the coffee, with both of the twins, carrying Lilou on her arms that were snuggled, and holding Beau's hand that was sneezing. Once she found her mother in her seat, she sat across from her, and greeted her briefly, putting Lilou on the children's chair, and Beau as well, but taking a napkin to clean his little hand and nose. The twins greeted with the very words ' granny!! ' .

Once she finished, organizing her twins, she finally looked at Stella, but she was unhappy by the look on her face. ❛ Tired. ❜ It wasn't a lie but also not all truth, just part of it. ❛ How are you? Any other night in the cells? ❜ She inquired, feeling now something warm on her nose. It was nosebleed. She muttered under her breath, taking another napkin to clean it.

⸻ Elizabeth was glad that he told her what happened to him when he disappeared, even though it hadn't crossed her mind at the moment, only when he mentioned the need to travel again, and she felt like a mini déjá vu. Back then their situation was a bit different than what they have now. She felt his hand on her small bump and removed her hand from his, allowing him to feel free to have his hand there on top of their babies. A car accident. Maybe if she knew back then would think it was bullshit. This explains a lot of scars he has on his naked body. Liz enjoys it when he caresses her bump, it is always so gentle and smooth and sometimes gives her a tad of goosebumps.

Once he took her hand, giving a light squeeze. ❛ You should. But it is all in the past now. Don't do anything stupid on this trip. I need you. And so do your children. ❜ Liz entered on this journey only because it was with him and also because she loved him, although she suspected she had shown to him already, but occasionally does some reminders. ❛ Hmmm. Anywhere with more space for little monsters, even a houseboat works at this point. ❜ She stuck her tongue out playfully at Alex when he kissed her shoulder, and she caressed his face, gingerly.

❛ But sure, a place with a garden or balcony. ❜ Liz doesn't know where she wants to live at the moment, she was self debating in either do a renovation on her penthouse or move to a bigger place. The problem with bigger places is to cleaning she has to do, with the twins. More area for them to mess means more time she would need to clean.

───it wasn’t like it would make any difference now, and yet he felt he needed to tell her; lest maybe she would think these trips are not coincidental; maybe he would disappear again, like it had happened the previous time. and all this time he thought it didn’t matter to tell her, not after all this time ( over two years ) had passed, but thinking of it he slowly realized that anything could be going through her mind for why he never contacted her again, only a couple of days before her wedding, and that was their last conversation, over the phone. then, silence.  

his hand remained on her small baby bump and he looked at her as she replied, a faint smile tugged on the corner of his lips. when he had come to, after months, he was upset with Reese; he had been the whole time he was forced to spend at the hospital and then the rehabilitation center. understanding her reasons didn’t make his dissatisfaction any lesser; he had only changed his mind when Liz and the twins came into the picture. but then, the switch never flipped; it hadn’t been long after he did seek to get  a new order and for a while now, he still felt it was the right call —which made no sense when he was really trying to be a better person for them at the same time. it made even less of a sense when he was thinking he wanted this with her, with their babies; and the babies that were of the way, too. he felt guilty for even considering it; he would feel awfully pretentious, wouldn’t be able to explain to her why he had done it in the first place; his mind is a weird place to be a lot of the times. but they are enough; they are more than enough.

“a car accident,” he responded. blue eyes met her grey-blue hues. “it doesn’t change anything to tell you now,” he said in a matter of fact tone, “but I wanted you to know. I said I would be back and I meant to be back for you.” fingers stroked over the bump, gently. “it was months later I was able to contact you,” he continued after a moment, “but I felt I shouldn’t after all that time…” perhaps he should have, but he wouldn’t contemplate of this now; it was a thing in the past. he took her hand in his, gave a firm squeeze; he had never changed his mind about her; his life hadn’t been the same after meeting her.

“so,” he toyed with her fingers a little, “a house with a garden then? for the little monsters to play…” he smiled as he briefly met her gaze, leaned in to press a kiss on the peak of her shoulder.

AU idea: Wukong goes into labor with the stone egg WHILE he's fighting Macaque

Not sure which fight you mean honestly, but I assume you meant the "OG" fight back during the Journey days.

I imagine this all occurs likely in a version of the Jttw Stone Egged au where Macaque joins the gang after he found out.

Wukong and Macaque are fighting neck and neck when Macaque finally stops to listen to Wukong's shouts;

Wukong, in tears: "Macaque please! Don't make me do this! I'm with-" Macaque: "What's that weird noise??" Wukong: "Huh?" Macaque: "It sorta sounds like a... bag of water? With a heartbeat inside of- OHHHH!" Macaque: (*points at Wukong's pants*) Wukong: (*looks down and sees that his water has broken*) Both monkeys: (*start screaming!*)

Macaque drops his glamour immediately to tend to his mate.

Macaque: "I have so many questions! Who, why, and how long?!" Wukong, has Macaque's hand in a death-grip: "You, Mountain, 500 years." Macaque, mental gears turning: "Huh!?! How did- ohhh wait... self-spawning. If I had kept coming and fed you peaches you wouldn't have-" Wukong: "Yeah!" Macaque: "And since I wa- Am your mate the kid would be-" Wukong: "YEAH." Macaque, trying to lighten the mood: "Do I get visitation rights?" Wukong, voice deepening: "DON'T PUSH IT, BUD!"

Eventually the Pilgrims and Guanyin catch up (the Bodhisattva heard that water break from across the sea), and see the Six Eared Macaque has completely dropped his Monkey King glamour and is trying his best to keep the real Sun Wukong's breathing steady.

Guanyin quickly gets to work; bringing Wukong to somewhere nice and warm and dry to have the baby. They suggest that the reappearance of the other parent (i.e Macaque) caused the Egg to prematurely decide to make itself known.

Bonus if this is the first time certain Pilgrims (besides a wise dragon-dragon) heard of such a thing XD

Ao Lie, excited: "It's already happening!? Congratulations!!" Wukong: "Thanks Lie, but I'd prefer to get the kid out before you all start thanking me." Zhu Bajie, oblivious: "Wait what kid!? They heck is everyone talking about?!" Tripitaka: (*hyperventilating into his hat like it's a paper bag*) Sha Wujing: "I suppose well wishes are in order! Did Brother Wukong drink from the same river and choose to decline the cure?" Wukong: "No, it's HIS fault." (*jabs thumb at Macaque*) Macaque: (*blushing, waves nervously at his mate's Pilgrim brothers*) Ao Lie, breaking the tension: "So this is your Equal in Strength you've been telling us about!" Macaque, slight smugness: "That's what you've been calling me?" Wukong, gritting teeth from pain: "Not now Mihou..."

Macaque stays at Wukong's side the whole time, even as his instincts are going nuts, snarling at the Pilgrims if they dare approach. And even when his hand was definitely broken by Wukong's grip during a really bad contraction.

The rest of the Pilgrims meditate and pray for Wukong and the baby's health. Ao Lie makes a point of chilling in his dragon form to scare off any passing creatures or people - dragons don't like being disturbed when they're laying an egg, and he imagines its the same for Stone Monkeys.

After a lot of pushing and encouragement, a tiny egg makes itself known, cracking open shortly thereafter.

What lies within?

A chirpy, chubby-faced baby monkey with glowing (Macaque starts crying then) ears and dark fur - the little thing's cries sounding indignant as if they'd been awakened from a long sleep. Guanyin makes a point to gather the citrine and amethyst-imbedded shell of the newborn for the parents to keep.

Wukong and Macaque can't even remember what they were fighting about earlier - all that matters is the clinging baby on Wukong's chest. Little thing is a bit smaller than expected due to their premature birth, but they're healthy and hungry.

The rest of the Pilgrims are allowed in after everything is cleaned up and Macaque's hand has been bandaged.

First thing out of anyone's mouth is;

Zhu Bajie: "I thought monkeys had litters?" Wukong, growling: "Don't jinx me."

So yeah, now the Journey has a newborn baby and it's dad along for the ride.

thinking about an emergency c-section for one of your kids, and satoru is absolutely a wreck, already had been dozing off at the hospital after you were admitted for labor since “his” baby was taking their sweet time to come — as you put it. and he had taken up residence on the cot beside you, having just laid down, only to find a nurse doing a nightly check on you.

it happens slowly. the medical staff multiply one by one, until there’s a dozen of them, including one nurse on top of you with her hand keeping your baby’s umbilical cord from being wrapped around the baby.

and they don’t let him come in as they wheel you to the operating room, leaving him to pace alone, wondering if he would see your baby or you again. and realizing he didn’t even get a chance to tell you he loved you.

i want to announce that i'm pregnant :') i'm currently 12 weeks (almost 3 months but not quite yet) so i feel confident to share this exciting news!! i had an ultrasound yesterday and it truly took my breath away. the tech got a funny picture of my little peanut in like, a yoga pose with its legs stretched out (i have the picture saved if anyone wants to see) 😭 this time in my life has been so precious to me and it's just the beginning!

idk if anyone remembers this but about a year ago i thought that i was pregnant and had announced it but i was, in fact, not actually pregnant to my surprise and disappointment but this time it is very much real. it might sound strange but the rpc is dear to me; i've made some amazing friends and incredible memories and i couldn't wait to share the news with you all 🥺
