dhul hijjah - a second chance after ramadan ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
what is dhul hijjah?
meaning 'the month of the pilgrimage' as many muslims go on hajj in this time, dhul hijjah is the twelfth and final month of the islamic year. the first ten days of this month are the best days of the entire year. yes - even better than ramadan:
it was narrated by Ibn Abbas that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah" - Sunan Ibn Majah 1727
these ten days encompass the day of Arafah, Hajj, and Eid ul-Adha
this month, we remember prophet Ibrahim (as) and how he was told by Allah to sacrifice his son, Hadrat Ismail (as). he took hadrat Ismail (as) on top of mount Arafat for the sacrifice, and just as he was about to sacrifice Ismail (as), Allah told him to stop as He was only testing him to see if he was truly obedient and willing to sacrifice everything for Allah's sake. the 9th day of dhul hijjah is the day of Arafah, commemorating this event.
we also remember how Allah told Ibrahim (as) to leave Ismail (as) and his wife, Hadrat Hajar, in a desert - which, today, is present day makkah.
this month is therefore about obedience, surrender and sacrifice for Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ.
depending on the sighting of the moon, dhul hijjah is expected to begin friday 7th june!
what to do in these first ten days?
even if you're not going for hajj, you should use these blessed days for extra righteous deeds and worship, especially on the day of arafah - the 9th day (which falls on 16th june this year, Insha'Allah) - the day before eid.
FASTING
it is a sunnah to fast the first 9 days of dhul hijjah. if you won't fast all 9 days, then it's best to prioritise the 9th day, the day of Arafah. this is because the prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah expiates for the sins of the year before and the year after.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 1730) however, unless you're going for hajj and you're actually at Afarah, then you cannot as it's forbidden to fast while on the mountain.
DHIKR
it's extremely important to increase your dhikr in this time. recite the tasbeeh, tahmeed, takbeer and tahleel often: tasbeeh - subhanallah (Holy is Allah) tahmeed - alhamdulillah (all praise belongs to Allah) takbeer - Allah Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) tahleel - laa ilaha ill-Allah (there is no God except Allah) Allah said “remembrance of Allah indeed is the greatest virtue” (29:46) - it brings you closer to Him, you feel more certain in His powers that He can remove any hardship which makes the heart feel less anxious, Allah becomes your Friend, you'll become successful (remember Allah often so you may prosper” (8:46), it cleans your heart, it protects you from harm, Allah becomes pleased with you. it truly is the greatest virtue.
also recite istighfar (astagfirullah) and repent for your sins
the best dua to recite on the day of Arafah itself is:
laa ilaaha ill-allaahu, waḥdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ‛alaa kulli shay’in qadeer - (None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and all praise and He is over all things omnipotent)
OTHER INCREASED ACTS OF WORSHIP
do extra voluntary acts of worship (nawafil, sunnah prayers, duha prayers)
read a lot of Qur'an
listen to the Qur'an more
send many, many salutations to the Prophet ﷺ (durood sharif!)
practice gratitude. what are you thankful for?
pray tahajjud
give sadaqah / donate to a charity. make sacrifices!
be kind!
read translation and commentary of surahs
listen to islamic podcasts/read islamic books to increase your knowledge
memorise a surah
talk to Allah!!!! pray!!!!
try and increase your acts of worship throughout the 9 days and especially on the 9th day, the day of arafah, which is the day before eid! (16th june Insha'Allah, depending on where you are in the world)
10th day - eid ul adha
on the tenth day of dhul hijjah (eid), our beloved Prophet ﷺ used to give Qurbani (a sacrifice) every year to remember Ibrahim (as) almost sacrificing his son for Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ's sake. muslims sacrifice animals all over the world to follow this sunnah, and donating qurbani is encouraged for every Muslim who is financially able to do so (this can be done online)
Tumblr media
may Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ make it easy for us to utilise these blessed and best 10 days to the best of our abilities, forgive us of our sins, draw us ever nearer to Him and allow us to become His best friends, Allahumma Ameen ♡

Hasbunallahu Wa Ni’mal Wakeel is a very powerful ayah from the Glorious Qur’an, Surah Al-Imran (3:173). A strong Dua that can overcome fear, anxiety, or distress. This Dua was sufficient for Prophet Ibrahim (may peace be upon him).

Allah calls Himself As-Samad— The Eternal, Satisfier of Needs, the Refuge and Absolute— on one occasion in the Quran. As-Samad is the unchangeable one on whom the entire creation depends. He is the one unaffected by any circumstance and the only one able to fulfil all needs in the most perfect way,  without Himself being in need of anything or anyone!
The Eternal, Everlasting Refuge, Satisfier of All Needs
Samad comes from the root saad-meem-daal, which points  to two main meanings. The first main meaning is to reach or attain, or to aim toward something. The second main meaning is to turn to and to need, and the third is to remain unchanged and unaffected. The fourth main meaning is to be everlasting and eternal.
This root appears just once in the Quran, as the noun samad. The example is al-samadu (“The Eternal, Absolute”).
Linguistically, samad means something that is not affected by circumstances or something that is solid. Sumood refers to the concept of being firm and steadfast.
As-Samad is the the One who is not changed nor affected by anything in the creation, He is the eternal and absolute refuge to seek and depend on for all needs and desires.
As-Samad Himself says: Say, ‘He is Allah , [who is] One, Allah , the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent.’ [Quran, 112:1-4]
A description of Allah
The only place in the Quran Allah ‘azza wa jall calls Himself As-Samad is in Surah Al-Ikhlaas; the virtuous surah mentioned in the authentic hadith in Muslim to equal one-third of the Quran.  This short, but amazingly beautiful and profound surah is a description of Allah Himself,  His Oneness, His samad’yyah and His incomparability.  Allah revealed this surah as a powerful answer to the people of Makkah who asked the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam to describe His Lord and His ‘lineage.’
What is ikhlaas (sincerity)? It is doing deeds purely for Him and to seek His pleasure, because He is Al-Ahad, the One and Unique. It is turning to Him for our needs and desires and desire Him only, because He is As-Samad, The Eternal and Satisfier of Needs, and it is to live by the fact that there is no one equal to Him in any of His attributes!
How can you live by this name?
1. Recite  and live by Surah al-Ikhlaas.
Recite Surah Al-Ikhlaas often to gain reward, but not only that; learn to understand each word and live by the names of Allah mentioned in it. Love to recite this surah and talk about it to others as you are describing your Lord. Learn how to correctly recite it and convey it to at least one other person and teach your children the history and/or tafseer (explanation) of this virtuoussurah in which As-Samad is mentioned in order to instil love of Allah in their hearts.
2. Realize your dependence on Him.
One of the meanings of As-Samad is the One who is independent and self-sufficient. If you look at a manager, for example, one who has a high position with authority over others, it still takes one note from his superiors to end his career. This person is not samad. Then look at what we need tu survive as human beings; air, water, food, and even love. Why do we often act like as if we are independent? Especially during good times when we are healthy and wealthy we tend to forget we are even dependant on As-Samad for the strap of our shoe. So remind yourself daily that you are dependent on Him.
3. Call upon Him.
Here’s a beautiful supplication the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam used to make as part of the morning:
“يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ برَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ”.
O Ever Living One, O Eternal One, by Your mercy I call on You to set right all my affairs. Do not place me in charge of my soul even for the blinking of an eye (i.e. a moment). [Al-Haakim, saheeh] Memorize this dua’ and say it with true desire, fully realizing your dependence on As-Samad!
4. Desire As-Samad.
Turn to As-Samad in good and bad times and rely on Him, resting assured He is the Eternal Refuge and the One who will satisfy your needs in the way He knows is best for you. If you truly believe in As-Samad, your strongest desire will be to meet Him and your only fear will be that of His displeasure. So strive to be a real servant of Allah. The disbeliever is a slave of his desires, or of fashion, his belly, and his money. So beg Him to decrease the love for this world in your heart, including love of being praised by people, and replace it with a firm desire for His pleasure alone.
Wallahu ta’alaa ‘alem
O Allah, As-Samad, we know that You are the only Eternal Refuge. Make us realize we need you at all times and aid us to be of those who turn to You only for our needs.  Adorn us with a strong desire to please You alone, ameen!

Hadith on Quran: The Prophet recites al-Sajdah, al-Mulk before sleep
Jabir reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would not go to sleep until he had recited the chapters, “The revelation of the Book, in which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds,” (32:1) and, “Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion, and has power over all things,” (67:1).
Tawus said, “They both have seventy more virtues than every other chapter of the Quran.”
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2892
Make wudu
-Dust the bed 3 times before sleeping
Recite last two verses of the Surah Baqarah- **Narrated Abu Mas’ud: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “If somebody recited the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqara at night, that will be sufficient for him.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 5009**
-Recite Surah Ikhlas, Nas and Falaq- **Narrated ‘Aisha: Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times.
Sahih Al-Bukhari 5017”**
-Recite Surah Mulk
-Recite Ayatul Kursi
-Recite the shahadah
Also you can recite a dua when going to sleep. Nabi Muhammad (SAW) would say these words before sleeping.

How to Perform Dua for Marriage Problems
Marriage is a beautiful and sacred bond, but it may face difficulties like any relationship. These challenges can arise from misunderstandings, lack of communication, or external pressures. Turning to Allah through dua (prayer) can offer solace and guidance when facing such issues. Dua has the power to heal wounds, mend broken hearts, and restore harmony between spouses. In this blog, we will guide you on how to perform dua for marriage problems, providing a step-by-step approach to help you resolve marital conflicts.
Importance of Dua in Solving Marriage Problems
Before diving into the steps, it’s essential to understand why dua is such a powerful tool in addressing marital issues. Allah is the Most Merciful, and seeking His help through sincere prayer can open doors to solutions that seem impossible. Dua strengthens faith, brings couples closer, and helps resolve conflicts peacefully and spiritually. The Qur'an and Hadith emphasize the importance of patience, kindness, and trust between spouses, and making dua is a way of asking for divine guidance to uphold these values.
Step-by-Step Guide on Performing Dua for Marriage Problems
Here is a practical, step-by-step guide on how to perform dua for marriage problems:
Step 1: Establish Pure Intentions (Niyyah)
The first and most important step is to set your intentions purely for the sake of Allah. Before making the dua, ensure that your heart is free from grudges and that your goal is to mend your relationship, not to gain power over your spouse.
Dua is a direct conversation with Allah, so it’s essential to approach it with sincerity and humility.
Make a firm intention to resolve the problems in your marriage, and remember that marriage is a partnership that requires patience, love, and mutual respect.
Step 2: Perform Wudu (Ablution)
The purity of the body is crucial when asking Allah for help. Perform wudu (ablution) before starting your dua. This act of cleansing yourself physically symbolizes your spiritual cleansing and readiness to connect with Allah.
Step 3: Choose a Suitable Time for Dua
While dua can be made at any time, certain times are considered more blessed and suitable for making supplications. These times include:
Tahajjud: The last third of the night is one of the best times to make dua. Waking up at this hour and sincerely asking for Allah’s help can make your supplication even more powerful.
After Salah: After completing your obligatory prayers (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha), raise your hands and make dua.
Fridays: Fridays are considered a special day in Islam, and making dua during the last hour before Maghrib is highly recommended.
Step 4: Recite Specific Duas for Marriage Problems
There are specific duas for marriage problems that you can recite to ask Allah for help in resolving conflicts between you and your spouse. Here are some recommended duas:
Dua for Problems Between Husband and Wife:"Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyatina qurrata a’yunin wa-jalna lil-muttaqina imama." (Surah Al-Furqan, 25:74) Translation: "Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous."
This dua asks Allah to grant peace and harmony in the relationship, making it a source of comfort and joy.
Dua to Solve Marriage Problems:"Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqir." (Surah Al-Qasas, 28:24) Translation: "My Lord, indeed I need whatever good You would send down to me."
Reciting this dua can help you seek Allah’s guidance to receive blessings and solve ongoing issues in your marriage.
Step 5: Ask for Forgiveness
Seeking forgiveness is a crucial aspect of making dua. Often, the problems in marriage can stem from mistakes or misunderstandings on both sides. Ask Allah for forgiveness for your shortcomings and make an intention to forgive your spouse for theirs.
Dua for Forgiveness:"Astaghfirullah" (I seek forgiveness from Allah).
Reciting Astaghfirullah sincerely can help purify your heart and pave the way for Allah’s mercy to enter your relationship.
Step 6: Recite Wazifa for Marriage Problems
A wazifa for marriage problems is a short prayer or phrase that is repeated regularly to seek Allah’s help. One such effective wazifa is reciting the following verse:
Wazifa for Resolving Marital Conflicts:Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas (3 times) Recite Ya Wadood (99 times) Recite Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem (21 times)
After reciting these, make your dua with a sincere heart. This wazifa is known to bring love and compassion between husband and wife.
Step 7: Be Consistent and Patient
Making dua is not a one-time solution. It requires patience, persistence, and trust in Allah’s timing. Continue to make dua for husband and wife problems regularly, and do not lose hope. Trust that Allah is listening and that He will provide a solution in the best way.
Additional Tips for Solving Marriage Problems Through Dua
Communicate with Your Spouse: While dua is essential, communication is equally important in marriage. Make efforts to talk to your spouse openly and address the issues you are facing together.
Seek Help from Scholars or Counselors: If the problems persist, it’s a good idea to consult an Islamic scholar or a marriage counselor for additional guidance. They can provide insight and help you navigate through your challenges with a balanced approach.
Maintain a Positive Attitude: Always keep a positive attitude and believe in Allah’s mercy. Negative thoughts can often cloud judgment and make the situation worse. Keep faith that Allah will bring you and your spouse closer together through His divine intervention.
Engage in Acts of Kindness: Along with making dua, engage in acts of kindness toward your spouse. Small gestures of love and care can go a long way in mending a troubled relationship.
Conclusion
Making dua for marriage problems is a powerful way to seek Allah’s help in overcoming challenges and strengthening your relationship. Whether you’re reciting a dua for problems between husband and wife or a general dua to solve marriage problems, the key is to approach Allah with sincerity, patience, and humility. By following the step-by-step guide outlined in this blog, you can ask for Allah’s guidance in resolving marital conflicts and restoring peace in your home. Remember, Allah is always listening, and with faith and persistence, He will guide you through your difficulties.
May Allah bless your marriage with love, harmony, and understanding. Ameen.

Is Manifesting Allowed In Islam?
When it comes to manifesting, I’ve noticed that it can either align with Islamic teachings or stray into territory that we should be cautious about. After looking into it from different scholars and sources, here’s what I’ve come to understand.
If manifesting means thinking that you can control your future simply by focusing on what you want and believing that the universe will provide it, then that’s where it becomes haram. The reason is simple—this belief takes Allah (swt) out of the picture, as if the universe itself holds the power to grant your desires. But we know that Allah created the universe, so it’s Him alone that we should be turning to. Only Allah knows what is truly best for us, and only He has the power to provide what we ask for.
In Surah Al-Baqarah (verse 216), Allah says, “You may like something, but it may not be good for you; and you may dislike something, but it may be good for you.” This reminds us that we don’t always know what’s best for ourselves. When we manifest, it can seem like we’re assuming we know what’s right and we’re asking the universe to deliver it as if we already have it. That mindset assumes a level of control over our lives that only Allah truly holds.
However, there’s nothing wrong with having hopes and dreams. It’s completely fine, even encouraged, to dream about something and then turn to Allah in prayer. We can make dua for the things we desire and trust that if it’s good for us, Allah will provide it. The key is always keeping Allah at the center of our intentions. Instead of thinking that we have power over our future or that the universe will bring us what we want, we should be putting our faith in Allah and asking Him directly through our prayers.
The difference between haram and halal here lies in intention. If manifesting becomes a practice where we rely on our own thoughts or the universe to fulfill our desires, it crosses into haram. But if we use our hopes and dreams as motivation, turning them into prayers to Allah and leaving the outcome to Him, then it’s halal. It’s about knowing that whatever happens is part of Allah’s plan, and trusting that He knows what’s best for us, even when we don’t.
Another aspect to keep in mind is the role of positive thinking, which is often tied to manifesting. Islam encourages us to stay positive and have good thoughts about Allah. In a hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, “I am as my servant thinks of Me,” which means we should always have hope in Allah’s mercy and trust that He will answer our prayers in the best way. But it’s important to remember that our thoughts don’t control the universe—only Allah does.
So, in summary, manifesting through the Law of Attraction, where you believe your own thoughts or the universe will bring you what you want, is problematic and can lead to shirk. But dreaming, making dua to Allah, and trusting His plan is not only halal but a beautiful way to strengthen your connection to Him. It’s all about keeping your intentions pure and remembering that Allah is the only one who knows what’s best for you.
In the end, focus on asking Allah for guidance and always keep in mind that He has the power to give you what’s truly right for you, even if it’s not exactly what you asked for. By doing that, you’ll be on the right path—staying true to your faith and trusting that whatever comes your way is part of Allah’s perfect plan.

While reading the Quran a few days ago, an ayah reminded me of something. Allah SWT addressed Bani Israel in Surah Al-Baqarah, saying, 'O Bani Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you, and fulfill My covenant, and I will fulfill your covenant, and fear only Me.'
Allah blessed Bani Israel with numerous favors. They were Allah's beloved nation until they began taking Him for granted. He SWT granted them power, honor, wealth, blessings from the sky, and even parted the sea for them, among other things. But we all know what happened next!
Ustazah once said that the stories in the Quran are not just for the sake of telling; they hold lessons for us. Similarly, this ayah addressing Bani Israel contains a lesson for all of us. Before I discuss that, let's learn a bit about Bani Israel first.
When Prophet Muhammad SAW preached Islam, the Yahood denied him. They knew he was the true messenger of Allah, and they had known the truth all along. In fact, they were awaiting him, yet they still denied him. Why? Because they held power and honor unmatched in the region. They wished for the Prophet to come from their clan so that they could perpetually enjoy honor and power. They couldn't accept that Prophet Muhammad SAW was an Arab; they regarded Arabs as illiterate. They feared that accepting him would cost them their power and honor over others. So in this ayah, Allah reminded them that He had given them so much – power, honor, and His favor. He asked them to fulfill the vow they had made – to support the Prophet. In return, He would fulfill His covenant, meaning that by keeping their promise, they wouldn't lose anything; instead, He would reward them even more.
This teaches all of us a valuable lesson. Today, we often complain that our duas are not answered. Let's ask ourselves, are we fulfilling our vows? Are we following the commands He gave us when He took a covenant from us before sending us to this earth?
Notice what Allah said at the end of the ayah: 'Only be afraid of Me.'
Allah is telling us that He understands our fears about people leaving us if we follow His command, and He knows that things aren't easy. People may mock you, and you might fear losing respect at home or at the office for wearing the Hijab, but don't fear them; fear only Me. Fulfill your vow, and I will fulfill Mine. I will give you better than all of that – I will give you Jannah! You won't lose anything; there will be no loss, only gain."

Ruqyah in the Quran and Sunnah
The term ‘Ruqyah’ is not specifically mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah, but in several verses and Prophetic traditions, there are indications that Quranic verses and other Ruqyah dua that can heal the diseases of mankind and it also offers a sense of peace and tranquility amongst Muslims who practice it. Therefore, to feel a spiritual and physical solace, Muslims should be aware of the pivotal role of Ruqyah verses for the soul and body:
“And say, “Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Falsehood is surely bound to vanish.” And We send down in the Quran that which is a cure and a mercy for the believers.” (Quran 17:81-2)
As Ruqyah is universally known to treat ailments known to mankind, it is also a means for all Muslims to increase their Iman, build their connection with Allah and reaffirm their tawhidic beliefs for Allah the Almighty. By curing illnesses with the aid of Quranic verses, it actually signifies our belief and reliance on the words of Allah the Most Exalted.
The Messenger of Allah, Peace and Blessings be upon him, said: “Make good use of the two cures: honey and the Quran.” (Ibn Majah)
What Should You Do Before Ruqyah?
There are certain etiquette or rules you should follow before you begin the process of Ruqyah healing to maximise the power of the treatment, InshaAllah. Here are the few things you should keep in mind:
Before you begin, perform wudhu and offer two rak’ats and make du’a to Allah Almighty. This is especially important when you perform tahajjud during the darkness of the night. Make sincere dua to Allah and ask for His assistance in healing whatever ailment you are currently enduring.
To perform Ruqyah for healing is to make sincere istighfar and avoid committing sins. Try your best to control your lust and desires, do good to one another, and if you have ever wronged someone or have performed injustice, you should restore their rights.
A powerful Ruqyah also comes from those who give sadaqah. As mentioned by our beloved Prophet Muhammad, Peace and Blessings be upon him, he said “Treat your sick by giving Sadaqah.” (Bayhaqi). Therefore, give charity whenever you can with the intention of asking Allah for His Help.
Before you begin the process of Ruqyah, it is important to omit any animated pictures which are available at home. If you have any live photos, amulets containing indecipherable texts associated with shirk, or even evil eye amulets are to be disposed of immediately. Take the objects away by throwing them into a river, or anywhere far from home so you are protected from evil.
If you can and if it is not too burdensome for you, it is best if you stay in a state of wudhu throughout the day, especially when you sleep.
What Should You Do During Ruqyah?
أَ
Now that you have followed the steps before you perform Ruqyah, now is when the process of Ruqyah Islam takes place. Here are some of the gestures and recitations you should do:
1. When you begin the first step of Ruqyah, recite Salawat or salutations upon our beloved Prophet, Peace and Blessings be upon him as an introduction of the Ruqyah treatment.
2. Secondly, you may begin reciting the Ruqyah verses below as loud and clear as you can with absolute concentration and conviction. Recite this 3 to 7 times.
Dua for Ruqyah (Quranic Verses):
(أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ السَّمِيعِ الْعَلِيمِ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ مِنْ هَمْزِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ)
I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from Satan, the accursed
Allah suffices me, there is no god but He, in Him I trust, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.
Surah Al Fatihah:
Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, Master of the Day of Judgment. You do we worship and You we seek help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have gone astray, nor of those who have gone astray.
Ayatul Kursi:
Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursī extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
[Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:255]
Quran 2:284-286:
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it. Then He will forgive whom He wills and punish whom He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."
Surah Al-Ikhlas:
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Say: 'He is Allah, the One, the called upon. Who has not given birth, and has not been born, and there is none equal to Him. '
Surah Al-Falaq:
“I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak. From the evil of that which He created. And from the evil of darkness when it settles. And from the evil of the blowers in knots.
Surah An-Nas:
I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind,
The King (or Ruler) of Mankind,
The god (or judge) of Mankind,-
From the mischief of the Whisperer (of Evil), who withdraws (after his whisper),-
(The same) who whispers into the hearts of Mankind,-
Among Jinns and among men.
The Ruqyah verses below are applicable for those afflicted with black magic:
And We revealed to Musa, "Throw down your staff," and, behold, it grabbed what they disassembled.
So the truth fell, and what they used to do was nullified.
So they overpowered you there and turned over in small numbers.
So when they met you, Musa said, "You have not brought magic with it. Indeed, Allah will render it invalid. Indeed, Allah does not correct the work of the corrupters." a
And God establishes the truth with His word, even if the criminals hate it.
And cast what is in your right hand, and you will catch up with what they have done. ۖ They have only made a magician's plot. And the magician will not succeed where he came from.
Dua for Ruqyah (Sunnah):

(Ahmad)

(Muslim)
(Hakim)
(Bukhari)
(Abu Dawud)
When praying on others, add the following:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيْكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيْكَ , مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنٍ حَاسِدٍ , اللَّهُ يَشْفِيْكَ , بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيْكَ
(Muslim)
(Bukhari)
(Tarmidhi)
(Bukhari)
3. After you have recited either the Quranic verses or adhkar according to the Sunnah, it is advisable that you recite directly into the palms of your hands and blow into them. Once you’ve blown into your cupped hands, you can rub your hands over the body. Not only that, but you can also recite the Ruqyah verses whilst placing your hands over the part of the body which is inflicted with pain.
4. Besides blowing into your cupped hands, you can also recite the Ruqyah verses and blow it in a glass or jug of water. You may need to keep the mouth close to the water, breathe into it and repeatedly blow over it. The water that you’ve blown into can be used for consumption as well as bathing.
5. If you are planning to recite Ruqyah on others, place your hand on the victim’s forehead or on the part of the body afflicted in pain, recite and blow.
6. If you are on your menses and you are unable to recite, you can also opt for listening to the Ruqyah verses. However, you have to fully concentrate on the recitations and understand the meaning, as well as having a firm belief in the Help of Allah and Him Alone.
What are the Symptoms after Ruqyah?
For those who have not been afflicted with any spiritual or physical harm, you might not manifest any symptoms after performing Ruqyah. It is different for everybody. For those who are afflicted with spiritual ailments such as Ruqyah for evil eye, jinn possession, black magic and the likes, you might be facing several symptoms after your first session. However, it is also common for victims to be asymptomatic altogether.click here https://www.slideshare.net/abd5050/symptoms-that-may-appear-after-the-first-ruqyah-sessions if you would like to learn more about the many symptoms of evil eye and how to avoid such illness. It is important to note that the effects or symptoms after Ruqyah will eventually disappear in a few days or even weeks. Stay patient and keep on performing Ruqyah:
1. You might feel sleepy and possibly suffer from nightmares
One of the symptoms you might face after the performance of Ruqyah is sleepiness and you might be having bad dreams as well. The feeling of drowsiness and heaviness consumes you and it would make you sleep much more easily. However, don’t be scared if you have nightmares. Keep making dhikr and recite Ruqyah consistently until the symptoms disappear.
2. Extreme fatigue and muscle aches
Besides sleepiness, you might be experiencing extreme fatigue from the loss of energy you’ve performed during Ruqya treatment. The Ruqyah effect also causes negative energy to drain off of you, which is always a good thing.
3. Joint and back pain
If you’re familiar with the feeling of soreness in your joints and back when you have fever or feel extremely tired, that symptom might manifest after your first Ruqyah session as well. Don’t give up and keep on performing Ruqyah healing.
4. Problems with the digestive system
You might be feeling discomfort in the area of your digestive system and suffer problems like bloating, gas, gastric pain, heartburn and more. Try to consume some of the Sunnah foods recommended for healing like black seed, honey, barley, dates or even olive oil.
5. Headache or migraine
Having a headache is one of the most common experiences anyone can suffer from. Despite its commonality, it is quite painful to endure without proper treatment. Keep yourself hydrated, recite Ruqyah consistently and be patient if you are suffering from a severe headache.
6. Your symptoms of pain may become worse
If you have faced some painful symptoms before you perform Ruqyah, the pain could be much worse after your first session. Get to know your symptoms early, if you’re afflicted with black magic, jinn possession or even the https://simplyislam.academy/blog/symptoms-to-determine-if-you-are-afflicted-with-the-evil-eye. Know your symptoms now before it gets worse.
7. Tightness and pain in the chest
Don’t panic when you feel tightness in the chest or if you have difficulty breathing. Keep performing Ruqyah consistently and rely on Him Alone whenever you feel this. Breathe in deeply and get some fresh air if you want to. Keep yourself in a state of calmness to avoid hyperventilation.
8. Irregular or faster heart palpitations
With the tightness of your chest, you may be experiencing irregular heartbeats, which can be very concerning if you aren’t used to it. Recite adhkar and never stop performing Ruqyah if you face this and if you feel incredibly uncomfortable by it.
9. Vomiting
If you are feeling nauseous and you vomit after the performance of Ruqyah, don’t worry. It is in fact a very good sign that evil is being put away. After you have vomited, you may find yourself feeling much lighter and better, InshaAllah.
10. Diarrhea
Similar to vomiting, if you feel the urge to pass stool and it seems to be a major one, it is also one of the good signs that the Ruqyah treatment is working. Remember to stay hydrated.
Conclusion:
Performing Ruqyah altogether isn’t as easy as it sounds, but coupled with a sincere intention, strong conviction and the right methods, inshaAllah, anyone can perform Ruqyah and protect themselves from whatever evil that is lingering out there in the open world. As Muslims, we should always be careful with the 1001 temptations and evil that gets in our way, and Ruqyah is the proper method to do away with all the spiritual and physical ailments, InshaAllah. If you have any experiences of performing Ruqyah, share with us your experience below and let us know how you feel. May Allah protect us all from the vicious evil that lurks in the day and night, InshaAllah.

Assalamualaikum! I wanted to ask you about the Dua sandwich, will you be able to specify it I do not understand it clearly due to seeing tons of ways on how to perform the Dua sandwich, perhaps like an example?
wa alaikum salam :) yes, i'm not sure if you've seen my post here on the ask about the dua sandwich already or if you want me to specify it further? if you haven't seen it yet, check that one out first!
there's probably tons of ways to do the dua sandwich bc there's lots of ways to praise Allah but to be more specific, i can give an example yes :)
for example, let's say we're sick and we want to ask for better health:
ta'awwuz - a'uthoo billahi minnash shaitawnir rajeem
tasmiyah - bismillahi rahman nir raheem
surah fatihah
durood sharif
your dua: 'Oh Allah, please cure me from this illness as you are as-Shafi and no one has the power to cure me except You'
durood sharif
Ameen
here, you can see that your dua is layered in a sandwich praise for Allah through surah fatihah which has a lot of praise in the beginning, salutations to the Holy Prophet ﷺ, your dua - which also includes praise in it (invoking Him with His name related to your dua: as-Shafi / saying that no one has power but Him), and then more salutations for the Holy Prophet ﷺ. it's in a sandwich! :)
so the easiest formula:
praise Allah
durood sharif
your dua
durood sharif
i hope this is clear ♡ if you have any more questions, feel free to send me another ask :)

Here’s a beautiful supplication the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam used to make as part of the morning: “يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ”.

Assalamu alaykum
[I don’t know if you post or reply anymore but I’m just gonna do it]
Lately I haven’t been on deen. I haven’t been praying properly or reading my Quran like it should be read. So I started feeling paranoid. Allah put this fear in me and I felt like someone was watching me all the time. I spoke to my mum about this last night and she told me she felt the same almost 20 years ago and that she also wasn’t praying or reading the Quran. So before I went to bed last night, I read surah al fatihah, ayat ul kursi, and the last three surahs three times. I made a dua asking for forgiveness and mercy for me and my family.
Subhanallah something amazing happened. I felt like a saw a fraction of Allah’s power and greatness. It suddenly brought me to tears. I realised I was less than nothing compared to Allah and I hated that it took me 15 years to realise that.
My problem is that I have tried to be a good Muslim before and I have. For two days. Then I went back to my old ways. Last night felt like what I saw was genuine and real rather than what I’ve been doing the past few years. So how can I keep myself from tempting myself to do things that are against the deen? I genuinely want to change and become a better Muslim. But how can I do that with all of the distractions in this world? Any tips or advice?
First of all, please accept my apology for the delay, I was traveling and didn't have a stable network..
Secondly, let us appreciate this ask and your story for a moment, Allahuma barik, I love these inspiring stories that can always prove to anyone in need that Allah swt is always there, only one prayer away, one duaa away, no matter how far or astray we think of ourselves to be, Allah swt is always near! You see, when you felt that there is something wrong or scary around you, you knew exactly what to do, you immediately turned to Allah swt because that's our fitrah, that's how we are built and programmed, He swt designed us that way, Alhamdullillah. And immediately He swt answered and provided for you safety, security, protection, and calmness. Allah swt doesn't need much from us, He is always waiting for us to call upon Him, so please do not forget that, even if one happens to sometimes forget that strong bond we have with Allah swt, it never disappears or stops existing.
Now here is the thing, one of the devil's favorite things to do is to try and distract the believers the moment they find their way back to Allah swt -He said, “For leaving me to stray I will lie in ambush for them on Your Straight Path. [7:16] - Shaytan has promised Allah swt that he will try and make sure to distract the believers when they're walking on Allah's straight path, when they are finding their way back or making their steps toward Allah swt. It has been also known that the stronger your faith or your desire to walk toward Allah swt, the harder Shaytan will try and distract you. And that will not make the believer weak or ' a bad Muslim ' , that's just how things are, that's the system, that's the test. All we have to do is try to stay firm and try to fight off the distractions, try to keep our eyes on the goal, that is getting closer to Allah swt and pleasing Him swt.
And remember, we are human beings, we are supposed to slip, we are supposed to make mistakes, we are supposed to sin, but the challenge is not to dispair, not to lose hope in Allah's mercy and to keep going back and keep asking for forgiveness every single time. Remember that Allah swt said that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said "By the One in Whose Hand my soul is! If you do not commit sins, Allah would replace you with a people who would commit sins and seek forgiveness from Allah; and Allah will certainly forgive them."
And He ﷺ also said “All of the children of Adam are sinners, and the best sinners are those who repent.”
So do not let the human tendency we have toward sinning discourage you or make you lose hope, and do not let Shaytan get into your head and let you believe that you are a bad Muslim or that you don't deserve Allah swt's mercy and forgiveness.
I know the world is very distracting and very destructive, especially if you live in the western world, may Allah swt help our brothers and sisters living in non-Muslim countries and strengthen their faith, and keep their hearts firm on the deen ya rab! But you are going to go with babysteps because the most beloved deeds to Allah swt are the smallest but the most permanent, the ones we don't quit them.. I say build a routine where you prioritize your daily five prayers, and if you can insert a few sunnah prayers like the sunnah of Fajr or Dhuha prayer that would be amazing! Make sure you stick to morning and evening adhkar because they are your way to remember Allah swt abundantly in your day, and through them He swt will protect you from all evil, all distractions, and help you stay focused. To remind yourself to do you can use apps, there are great Islam related apps that you can have on your phone either for deen in general or for duaas and adhkar, some apps offer to set a reminder on your phone and alarm you at the right time to read your adhkar, to pray, to read your daily Quran, etc..
Also, whatever it is that is causing you distraction ( for e.g. social media, series, movies, music) you can limit your consumption of that, you can uninstall certain apps or lock them, only use them a limited time in your day, I have recently replied to an ask about that you can also check in and In shaa Allah it will be beneficial for you.
The most important thing is that you don't despair, you don't guilt-trap yourself and you keep your hope in Allah swt's mercy because He swt said " قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Say, `O My servants who have committed excesses against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allâh. Surely, Allâh forgives all sins. Verily, He is the Great Protector, the Ever Merciful.'
Allahu al mustaān 🤍
