Dipping into Delight: Crafting Flavorful Salsas with Chopped Vegetables
Vegetables are a staple part of our diet. People are now actively following the five-portion rule, to ensure the intake of essential nutrients. This also requires creativity apart from effort as one can’t consume similar dishes throughout the day, seven days a week. One of the ways to eat vegetables all day round is by adding them to your soups, salsas, and sauces.  The good thing is now you can do this faster by cutting down on your meal prep hours and ordering washed and cut vegetables online.
Tumblr media
Types of Salsas
Salsa a la Huancaina
This Mexican recipe is made from capsicum or chilies bajji, onions, garlic, oil, evaporated milk, cheese, and hard-boiled eggs. The combination of these ingredients is blended until the sauce develops a smooth and thick texture and is enjoyed as a dip for french fries, boiled potatoes, and corn.
Aji Criollo
The spicy Peruvian salsa is made from aji chili peppers (chilies bajji) and oil. The sauce can be used both as gravy and dips for french fries and tequenos.
Chancho en piedra
This salsa is a sauce-like variation of pebre salsa and has its origin in Chile. It uses tomatoes, garlic, chili peppers, onions, olive oil, salt, and parsley or coriander and is served with bread, sopapillas, or empanadas.
Salsa macha
Although there are many variations to this Mexican dish, it is usually made with a combination of chili peppers, oil, peanuts, garlic, sesame seeds, and salt. It is served with tortas, enchiladas, tacos, or burritos.
Salsa Criolla
This is made from thinly sliced onion alongside a variety of vegetables such as bell peppers, avocados, jalapenos, and tomatoes. These are then garnished with parsley and cilantro and seasoned with salt, vinegar, and lime juice to complement grilled meat, sandwiches, and rice.
Pebre
The most common condiment of Chile is a combination of garlic, aji peppers, cilantro, onions, vinegar or lemon juice, olive oil, and occasionally tomatoes.
Pico de gallo
Unlike most other salsas this has a solid consistency and is made from coriander, onions, tomatoes, and hot peppers such as serranos or jalapenos. It is popular due to its bold flavors and simple preparation process.
Salsa Taqueria
The salsa is cooked and blended to a smooth consistency. It is commonly served as a taco topping and contains tomatoes, arbol chilies, onion, lime juice, garlic, oil, and salt.
Salsa Criollo
The primary ingredient of this salsa is red onions, which are mixed with aji Amarillo peppers, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. This salsa can be enjoyed alone or as a complement to your favorite dish.
Fresh Garden Salsa
This is the most versatile salsa as you can make additions and substitutions in the ingredients as per your wish and typically includes tomatoes, onions, garlic, jalapenos, cilantro, lime, and salt. This can be served with chips or with any of your favorite dishes.
Thus, salsas can be used to add spice and flavor to your monotonous meals and now when you can order chopped vegetable delivery online you have no reason to not try them, so which salsa are you having for your next meals?

weirdly specific asks - 5, 18, 27 😊
Thanks for asking! :D
5. favorite form of potato? That is hard to choose, since I enjoy it in many forms! I do love french fries - most versions, but especially the steak cut kind. Also my mom makes potato bajji, which is an Indian snack food that has sliced potatoes mixed with spices and dipped in gram flour and fried and it is so good.
18. your boba/tea order? While I have had the tea at home, in the packets (mostly herbal), I don't order tea when I go out and I've never had/don't drink boba. It's fairly common around here, but I don't think I would like it.
27. what’s your favorite or go-to outfit? Probably a pair of jeans and a cold shoulder top. I am a big fan of those.
Send me a weirdly specific ask
