i don't think i created tumblr's wet beast wednesday. there's a tumblr post with a soggy tiger that says wet beast wednesday, and i'm almost positive that it's older than my wet beast posts. i'm pretty sure i've seen other wet beast posts around.

iirc i believe @ pictures-of-dogs may have also posted wet beast wednesday before i did. i don't know for sure, though.

however, i do post about wet beast wednesday a lot, and a few of those posts have breached containment. i feel like i see them circulating on the dash (largely thanks to pictures-of-dogs and @bearotonin-international) more often than the other (older) wet beast wednesday posts.

tl;dr: i did not create wet beast wednesday. i believe i and the other bear blogs did play a big role in popularizing it though.
