Six of Swords (Cyberpunk 2077), Takemura/V first kiss fic, I was a bit apprehensive dipping into a rarepair in a mostly dormant fandom where the main medium of expression seems to be photomode screenshots rather than fanart/fic. But ultimately, it was for my own self-indulgence and favorite tropes so there!

Prayer of Healing (BG3), Zevlor/Tav Moonrise Towers rescue, lots of tortured old man angst, we love to see it.

Pomegranate Night (Mass Effect), Shepard/Javik fluff with intense emotional constipation on Javik's part. Also very tacky references to incorrect Hades/Persephone myth retellings, because those are fun.

Safe, for the Time Being (Dragon Age), three slice-of-life vignettes about Morrigan chilling with Kieran and three different Warden parents (two dudes, one amab nb), each in their own AU. Purple prose at some of its purplest, I deleted this fic out of cringe once, then recovered it and reposted it because it sparks joy.

Mister Monster (Skyrim), a classic; friendly vampire using his powers to protect abused kids, love me a sentimental tear-jerker.

Brain Damage (SPoP), my one and only Entrapdak fic, lots of broody bat cyborg angst with hints of fluff at the end.

i've been in the planning and worldbuilding stages lately, so all the words i've been writing have been in bullet lists and various illegible obsidian notes.

royal blue is the valerie/river series, and my ideas here are primarily whodunnit one-shots or gutwrenching angst that i'm not currently depressed enough to actually write about. so i've been trying out a little mystery story here, a little fluff there, gettin a handle on post-Mikoshi valerie, simmering simmering

hypercritical

heavily rotating a few things from what i'm calling the "hypercritical au," which is the vania/mike timeline of Jaded and Crescent. some threads i'm noodling on…

been worldbuilding for a story feat. regina jones in shanghai in the 2050s. there's a little about shanghai in the ole pacific rim sourcebook (💩), but not much! (and i'm a rather out over my skis here having never been to china, so if i decide to go further with this one i'll probably want a beta reader who's spent some time in shanghai)

and what happens in the 2050s in the cyberpunk universe, like, at all? in the timeline of canon events it's a decade with very little filled in compared to everything else in the 21st century. opportunities!

the Crescent time-gap aka "mike's hard eighteen months"

post-canon, what's the deal with that fifth corporate war huh?

post-canon, Crescent ends in a very particular place and situation of my own invention and i've been working out the endgame for that situation

all of this is very different from my m.o. up until this point, which has been to write characters being horny and then stay within shouting distance of the canon plot (thx @merge-conflict for that phrasing/concept) while diverging a bit for funsies. and i'm appreciating more and more how frightening and freeing it is to cook up a whole narrative that stands on its own without a skeleton of plot already in place — not to mention all the built-in emotional stakes of cyberpunk 2077's plot. and it's very hard at times to push through the "nobody will read this" voice yet it's fun! i'm having fun!! pounds table

also have some bg3 stuff on the side burner, but i feel like i'll need a lot more time to marinate in lore, and i need to finish the fucking game already lol. (tbh i'm very intimidated writing for bg3!!!) but the docket here includes a dank throuple feat. some old man yaoi (tav/rugan/gale). this is totally up in the air though and i truly can't find my own ass with both hands when it comes to the forgotten realms

and then there's a grip of smutty shorts, drabbles, and assorted plot creatures from every dimension sniffing around.

i'm looking forward to getting more time to return to the groove here. (where will this mysterious "more time" come from? what is "the groove"? TBD)

and as fun as all the worldbuilding and plotting is, i do think i need to stop dicking around scratchin my chin and just write some god damn porn at some point 🙃

🍬 = Yes! I write for Star Trek and Star Wars at moment, but I definitely want to get into writing for other fandoms - Battletech, Cyberpunk 2077, and 40K for sure. Plus I've got my own "original" sci-fi universe, the Astralverse (check it out at my #astralverse tag). Favorite fics so far? Well, at the moment that would be the first two I've published, hah!

"T'ad kar'tae, hettyc tome." is an ultrararepair (as in, I'm fairly confident this is the FIRST ever published prose fic to feature this ship >.<) romance/action/drama/epic AU scenario centered around Bossk/Jango Fett (but eventually to include other ships such as Obigrievous). In the interest of inflicting maximum psychic damage, I have decreed the ship name to be... "Bongo." "Bossgo" or "Jangossk" also in the running.

Meanwhile, The Sorcerer Files Section 1 is an all-OC, semi-post-canon, semi-AU Star Trek Online-based fic with time travel and survival in a bad situation. I don't want to say more to preserve the punch of the ending of chapter 1. My plan is to have each fic as a different "Section" of the in-universe intelligence file on this particular ship and crew - which importantly, does not have a majority human crew, and only has one or two humans in the senior staff. That's an idea I've wanted to explore for a long time.

💘 = Easier to write fluff or angst? Fluff for sure. But while angst is challenging for me to write, it's definitely something I want to experiment with. I very much anticipate The Sorcerer Files Section 1 to have a great deal of it, just by virtue of the scenario. And I've got some great inspirations to pull from for it, too - 🧵s = IYKYK ;)

#TakemuraWeek21 - Day 1: Real Food - Breakfast in Bed

Summary: V and Goro enjoy a cozy morning together and have breakfast in bed. (sfw)

Inspired by a conversation I had some time ago with a dear friend. (You know who you are and that I love you!)

2078, Kagawa, Japan

Golden rays, softly filtered by the drapery’s thin fabric, swept across a dark hardwood floor. Dust particles were dancing in the velvety glow. The morning sun caressed her still sleeping form and the beginning of the day gently tugged at her consciousness. 

V blinked lazily, allowing herself to wake up without haste, accustoming her eyes to the bright yet soft light and enjoying the warmth from the sun, eagerly soaking it up like a cat.

Upon regaining her senses she reached to the side where her lover was sleeping, only to find it empty and the sheets cold. This caused her to shoot up. Panic flickered through her veins.

"Goro?" she whispered, voice laced with anxiety.

Rubbing her face frantically hoping she was still asleep and just dreaming. Fear of loss pervaded her recurring nightmares, a side effect of the events of the past year. Her heart fell. His side of the bed was indeed empty. A quiet sob escaped her throat.

He left.

However, before she could dwell on her sadness, she heard muffled footsteps in the hallway. The door swung open and revealed a sight, that rendered her speechless and her heart swelling with happiness and relief.

Dark hair streaked with light, greying strands was cascading down to his shoulders. Wearing nothing but loose fitting jogging pants he stepped into the bedroom. A wooden tray in hands and a soft smile on his lips.

"Good morning, my cherry blossom." 

Hearing his voice helped greatly with grounding her again. The initial panic was not gone, but beginning to fade away.

He moved towards the bed and set the tray down. Instinctively she reached out for him and of cause he carefully took her hand in his. Brushing his thumb over her knuckles and bringing her hand to his lips he pressed a chaste kiss to the back of her hand. Like the gentleman he was. Comfort, warmth and love radiated from him dispelling her anxiety.

"V? Are you all right?" he asked, genuinely worried. He hadn’t missed her scared expression when he had entered the room.

There was no need to hide her fear. Not from him. After everything they had been through, they had both learned to trust each other. So she nodded.

"I am now."

His free hand found her face, pushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear and cupping her cheek.

"I am here," he said, knowing she was telling the truth. "I will not go anywhere."

He felt her smile in his hand. Goro bowed down to place a reassuring kiss on her forehead. Afterwards he nodded towards the tray.

"How about breakfast?" he asked and piled the pillows against the headboard.

V leaned back, visibly relaxed, when he got comfortable next to her.

Curiously, she eyed the goods on the tray. There were freshly baked bread rolls, croissants, and small pastries. Jam, honey and butter. Even a bowl of chopped fruit. It touched her deeply how he had gone above and beyond to prepare a perfect breakfast for her. And she was incredibly grateful for his thoughtfulness.

He handed her a cup of steaming tea. Her favorite. This gesture alone filled her heart with warmth and made her fall for him even more.

V reached for the mouth-watering treats, however he stopped her midway. 

"Allow me."

"I’m not a baby, Goro." She giggled.

"I know, but please let me spoil you today."

There was no room to argue so she happily gave in. He took a pastry and held it out for her to taste it. She allowed him to feed her while they chatted lightheartedly.

They were almost done with breakfast and sat snuggled together in bed.

She ran her fingers through his hair, absentmindedly caressing his scalp. V moved her hand over the back of his head and along his neck. Fingertips passing the point behind his ear where metal met flesh.

"Do you miss your home, Night City?"

The question came out of the blue. His bright vigilant eyes searched hers for any sign of discomfort or doubt, but found none.

She smiled.

"No. A am at home here, with you."

Apex Predators — Val & Mitch

These two have been consuming my brain since February 2021, about a week after I started the game. Alright I actually have slightly more of some clear cut ideas with Cyberpunk stuffs. Doesn't necessarily have to be set in the Cyberpunk 2077 game/universe, since Marvel already has its 2099 line. Dunno what Kurt's up to in that line, but we could make it up or time travel shenanigans or just, that's when he lives.

You got a dancer and other performer AUs for Kurt, so maybe like he and Fox kinda work in the same circles or together or their rivals or he's a dance instructor....lotsa potential!
