Customizing a car that stands out from the crowd and delivers top-notch performance is a dream for many automotive enthusiasts. However, while focusing on enhancing aesthetics and power, it's essential not to overlook safety. Verified Market Reports states that the automobile modification market is expected to reach a valuation of $149.5 billion by 2030. This sector focuses on customizing vehicles to meet individual preferences, whether through performance upgrades, aesthetic changes, or technical enhancements. With a broad range of services, experts in this market help drivers transform their vehicles while ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality results. A truly exceptional car balances unique design and high performance with the necessary safety measures to protect the driver and passengers. In this article, we'll look at the best ways to customize your car while considering safety. We will go over everything from picking the correct modifications to planning for unexpected dangers on the road. Choose the Right Modifications for Performance and Safety When customizing a vehicle, the modifications you choose play a significant role in both performance and safety. Engine upgrades, suspension modifications, and braking system enhancements are common choices for boosting performance, but each must be carefully selected and installed. Opt for high-quality components that are specifically designed for your vehicle model and have been tested for safety. For example, a lowered suspension can enhance handling, but only if paired with appropriate safety checks to avoid compromising ride quality and road clearance. Similarly, upgrading to a performance exhaust system can improve horsepower but should not compromise emission standards. In March 2024, the EPA announced stricter standards to cut harmful emissions from light- and medium-duty vehicles starting with the 2027 models. Building on earlier greenhouse gas standards set in 2021, these new rules aim to reduce air pollution, protect public health, and tackle climate change. Phasing in through 2032, these standards will also help drivers save on fuel and maintenance costs. When the Unexpected Hits the Road: Risks and Accidents Even with the best modifications, the road is full of unexpected risks. Accidents, adverse weather conditions, and road hazards can turn a pleasant drive into a dangerous situation. To deal with these risks, prioritize safety features alongside your custom upgrades. Consider investing in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as collision warning systems and lane departure alerts. These technologies can help you react more quickly to unexpected dangers. Additionally, ensure your vehicle is equipped with high-quality tires that offer excellent traction in various weather conditions. The Threats Posed by Commercial Vehicles One particular risk to be aware of is truck accidents. Areas that are commercial hubs, such as major cities and industrial zones, tend to have a higher concentration of large trucks on the roads. This raises the risk of accidents involving these huge transport vehicles. Truck accidents can prove to be particularly severe owing to the vehicles' size and weight. Adding to the challenge are the reckless or inattentive drivers commonly found in busy cities. These aggressive drivers can make the roads even more dangerous, particularly in areas with heavy traffic and high truck volumes. St. Louis, for example, is known for its unpredictable drivers and the city’s high rate of accidents. In a report by ConsumerAffairs, St. Louis ranked among the top five cities with the worst drivers in the United States. A concerning 32.39% of fatal crashes in the city involve drivers with a positive blood alcohol content. This statistic highlights the serious risks on the road in St. Louis. In January 2024, KSDK reported a tragic crash in south St. Louis involving a semi-truck and a speeding Pontiac G6. The accident occurred near South 2nd and Sidney streets, where the Pontiac failed to stop at a sign and collided with a 2019 Freightliner. Sadly, the 35-year-old Pontiac driver, Brant Renfro, was pronounced dead, while the 62-year-old semi-truck driver was hospitalized. According to TorHoerman Law, such cases usually end up in lawsuits. In these cases, the truck driver, the trucking company, and even the manufacturer of the truck can be held liable. If you or someone you know has been involved in a truck accident, it’s essential to consult with a truck accident lawyer. In the case mentioned above, a St. Louis truck accident lawyer would play a crucial role. They would evaluate the accident's details, identify liable parties, and ensure that victims receive the support and compensation they deserve. Whether through settlement negotiations or court proceedings, legal representation can be vital in securing a fair outcome in the aftermath of a truck accident. At this point, you must realize that the right safety features in your car could make a difference. Defensive driving is another key aspect of staying safe on the road. Balancing Aesthetics and Safety in Custom Designs Customizing your car’s appearance is a great way to express your personality, but it's crucial to balance aesthetics with safety. When selecting exterior modifications, such as custom paint jobs, body kits, or window tints, make sure they comply with local regulations. They also must not impede visibility or aerodynamics. For example, excessively dark window tints can limit your view, particularly at night. On the other hand, overly aggressive body kits can affect the car's stability at high speeds. Inside the car, choose custom seats and harnesses for both style and safety, ensuring they effectively protect occupants during a collision. FAQs How to stay safe when driving a modified car? Make sure any changes are professionally done and fulfill safety regulations if you want to drive a modified car safely. Check your car often, paying special attention to important parts like the suspension, tires, and brakes. Finally, always drive cautiously, as high-performance modifications may alter your car's handling in unexpected situations. When do I need a truck accident lawyer? If you were hurt in a truck crash, you should see a lawyer, especially if there were large losses or complicated responsibility concerns. A lawyer can guide you through insurance claims, assist in settlement negotiations, and guarantee just recompense. Consulting one early can protect your rights and strengthen your case. Is it alright if I install a body kit on my car? Adding a body kit to your car can enhance its appearance and aerodynamics, but it's important to consider the quality and fit. Choose a reputable kit that complements your vehicle's design without compromising safety. If in doubt, get expert advice for installation and to make sure it complies with regulations. It's fun to customize your car to be functional and distinctive, but safety should always come first. As you choose modifications, make sure they not only enhance performance but also keep you protected on the road. Investing in advanced safety features like collision warning systems and upgrading your tires can go a long way in minimizing risks. And don’t forget, driving defensively is key. The road can be unpredictable, so being prepared for unexpected challenges is essential. By prioritizing safety in your customizations, you can enjoy your upgraded ride with confidence and peace of mind. Read the full article

We need these guys out of here these stupid trump stirs or a bunch of **** they don't know how anything works they're **** just spewing **** everywhere. Everybody hates them there's some guys sharing dumb we have more lock for like two feet tall whoever much better act.* stirs up some memories and I remember my husband getting excited when he saw it and he couldn't get one so he was sad and eventually he got the firebird and was felt really good. There's a piece of junk it wasn't se There's a piece of junk it wasn't set up to drive and it was horrible and with this moron who did it we don't like him. Tries to kidnap him all the time and we're gonna crucify him. We do understand people want to know what it would do
Pontiac GTO 2003-7 usually 350hp speed 195 with the bradley kit top end exhaust shell etc 320mph due to being a lot lighte take out the two back seats and fbg and a cage. keep the dash and instrum.
Pontiac Grand am 1984-2006 and we suggest and spec it for 3 litre versions and yes the largest and it s not so big. original speed 155 mhs new speed trimmed down yes interior and new consoles for all years on this one 245mph and yes a miracle car due to it being a bg dog. and crap on the road.
and due to there being so many of them ini the eighties and nineties and they work and are in garages or tgo tow miles a day we want to make it inexphenisve at first. and works though and looks awesome runs fast as we said. only high perf not super. and use less exphensive aftermarket stuff as his brother did but nicer shaped erfect new hight tech features.
I want this car up and running it is his brothers and we wanna do it we know where it was made and who was making it. They don't seem to be available for anything at all they're not done no they are out and hit a tomb and because it was Dave and Carol helped and they were doing it in Massachusetts little and moved it to Illinois and the molds are out there so we have some to try for and I wanna start it and we have a project going includes it and yeah the front end will fit the motor and you put a different hood on and the hood needs to be changed but it can have some of the similar features which would be interesting. This is an awesome idea and the Porsche idea is awesome and the panels so without further ado we're going to rest and we're going to keep trying to get this going and talking about it so we have a modernized version it's for the VW but he says that's kind of a lot of work no open
This is a more expensive G6 came later. And he says we could keep the interior. And actually the window configuration is very similar to the Bradley GT2 you'd have to change the rear panels the front panels the hood and the cow and faring and rear bumper panels and bumpers and everything else you leave alone you don't touch the roof or interior you can pull the back seats out if you want and we can have a kit for putting in a small bench seat that's light the way difference will put on the package it's like 300 pounds it's still gonna be a front wheel drive it's a rear wheel drive but it's front engine eventually we would change that. this car is still pricy, no, it is not exphenisve its cheap now. fast enough but the kit would make it much faster. and sorta hidden as to what it is. nice idea to start doesnt ruin it and you can change it
Thor Freya i do ths one it is my panel and we see they are in the shop we shal be need to be there and the two big fellas are we move on it now
we do too

my car next lol good he says

2006 pontiac g6 transmission 4 speed automatic
The 2006 Pontiac G6 is a mid-sized car that was produced by General Motors from 2005 to 2010. It came with a variety of different engine and transmission options, including a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The 2006 pontiac g6 transmission 4 speed automatic is a fairly standard transmission, and is designed to provide smooth and reliable shifting for the vehicle. It is a front-wheel drive transmission, which means that the power from the engine is transmitted to the front wheels of the car.
One of the benefits of the 4-speed automatic transmission in the 2006 Pontiac G6 is that it is relatively simple and easy to maintain. It does not require any special maintenance or attention, and can be serviced by any qualified mechanic or transmission specialist.
However, one potential downside of the cartransmissionforsale.com/2006-pontiac-g6-transmission-4-speed-automatic 4-speed automatic transmission is that it may not provide the same level of fuel efficiency as more modern transmission designs. This is because the 4-speed transmission is not as sophisticated as newer transmissions, which may have more gears and be more efficient at shifting gears.
Overall, the 4-speed automatic transmission in the 2006 Pontiac G6 is a reliable and straightforward transmission that provides good performance for the vehicle. While it may not be as advanced as some newer transmission designs, it is still a solid choice for those looking for a reliable and easy-to-maintain automatic transmission.

⇢ word count; 2.3k
⇢ genre; office au, CEO au, fluff
⇢ warnings; probably boring, this is my first time writing on here. please enjoy!
“Are you ready, sir?” I asked him as he walked out of his office. He took a deep breath and nodded, forcing a small smile on his face. I was convinced that he hated going to meetings. He would always do this sort of routine so that he could calm down so I kind of figured.
I gave him a closed lip smile and together we walked to the car garage. When we got there, the doorman handed me the keys and while walking I pressed one of the buttons, unlocking said car. I had no idea which car we were taking. It was always a mystery that I didn’t have control over even though I was the one driving them. Sad, right?
However, over the years of working at this company as the executive assistant to the CEO and driving him to meetings throughout the week, I’ve established my favorite cars to drive. There was the Kia Stinger, which was very luxurious so it could fit the CEO’s taste but it could also go from 0 to 60mph within 5 seconds (which was enjoyable for me even though I’ve only got to try it out once).
Then there was the Audi R8, which was a beautiful car. The CEO owned one in black but the one I drove to his meetings was white. Both were amazing finishes. The navigation in this car was amazing though which was the seller for me. If I had enough for this car, I would’ve bought it ages ago.
And lastly, there was the Jaguar XJ 3.0. This car was absolutely beautiful. If I could, I’d marry it but sadly that would just be weird. This car handled curves so well, it made me tear up every time. Driving down even a pebbled road with this car was a smooth ride. It was enjoyable for me and the CEO could finish up some work without being tossed around in the back.
Although this company had lots of amazing cars, they also had more than a handful of bad ones. For instance, the Pontiac G6. This car was ugly. I’m not even going to lie and say that it had some nice points in terms of appearance because it did not. The whole entire interior was plastic and it wasn’t even well designed! The buttons were way too small as well. It’s like a baby designed this car. The drive was okay but I’ve had way better drives. Sometimes the CEO would even complain about how bumpy it would be.
Also, for some reason they had a PT Cruiser? One of the worst, if not the worst car I’ve ever driven. When I would take it to gas stations alone while the CEO was in meetings that I couldn’t go in, it would just stop randomly. I would be at a stoplight and it wouldn’t turn back on. I would be pulling into the gas station and it would just shut off and I would almost get into an accident because of it. And sometimes when I’m on the highway, the car would just randomly honk! I wouldn’t even be anywhere near touching the horn!
Every meeting we went to was always a mystery for me because I didn’t know which car I would get. Today, though, I knew it wouldn’t be good. As soon as I unlocked the car, I knew.
The keys that the doorman gave me belonged to the PT Cruiser.
I groaned, losing my professionalism for a moment before realizing that the CEO was watching. I straightened up, “Sorry, I just don’t like this car.”
“You have favorite cars?”
“Yes. And this one is not on that list. But I will try to make this an easy ride for you so don’t worry.” I said with a small smile, opening the back door for him. He nodded, getting in and closing the door.
While walking over to the drivers side, I let out a whine. I absolutely hated this car! Would it stop on us for no reason today? Would we die?
I started the car and already could feel the engine giving out. Maybe I could just ask the doorman for a different key. But as I reached for the door handle, I caught a glance of the clock, telling me that I didn’t have time to get a different car. If we didn’t leave now we would be late.
I sighed, changing the gear shift into reverse and pulling out of the parking space.
So far, the ride was nice. It was quiet, as always, and not as bumpy as usual. Of course, there were a few times where my heart jumped out of its cage because I thought we would die, but we didn’t and so I could rest easily.
A stop light occurred and I started to slow down, preparing to stop. As I stopped, I looked in the rear view mirror, “What is the topic of the meeting today?”
“Stocks,” CEO Lin said without even looking up from his tablet. I nodded, looking ahead of us at the light. It was always awkward when I would drive him, which was all the time because it was my job. I would never have anything to say and so I would usually bring up the oncoming meeting because it would be the only thing I could think of. But his answers would always be vague and I would never know how to respond.
I sighed as the light turned green, pressing on the gas pedal. But, like I thought, the time came. The car inched forward, pretending to not be defective, and then the engine sputtered out and the car turned off.
My heart started racing as I tried to press the gas pedal again. The car didn’t move. I quickly turned on my hazard lights, my movements rushed and panicky.
The CEO must’ve picked up that something was wrong, so he asked what was going on. I brushed it off, “Nothing, the car is just acting up.”
“Why is it off?” he asked. I saw his curious expression glancing at me from the rear view mirror.
If I knew, then it wouldn’t be off! “I don’t know but I’ll figure it out.”
His expression faltered for a bit as he sat back in the seat. I took this time to call the administrative staff and tell them what was going on.
“Hey, Y/N!” One of the staff, named Ziyi, greeted me. We were close because his job was the closest to being my assistant. Just without the title.
“Hey Ziyi! Can you call the member of the staff in charge of the cars and tell them that the PT Cruiser broke down?”
“Yeah sure no pro- wait what?!” He exclaimed, “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, it’s fine but the car is a piece of trash—“ I glanced up into the rear view mirror, seeing the CEO curiously gazing at me. I cleared my throat, “— The car is defective so we are going to see if we can get a new one or find some other way to get to the meeting.”
“Okay. I’ll tell them to send a driver down to go get you,” he said before I hung up the phone.
There was a moment of silence which consisted of me fully accepting this situation and the CEO figuring out what to do with this knowledge.
“So the car broke down?” He asked.
I let out a sigh, “Yes, sadly this was out of my control. This car is really old and not very good at its job.”
A pause, “...Which is driving?”
“Yes. Its job is to drive us safely to where we need to go and back. But it failed.” It was quiet after that. I called the stockholders and told them the inevitable news and they told me that we could always reschedule and that it was no problem. Then I thanked them and told them I would send the email for the reschedule when we get back. And then I hung up and took a breath.
It was so quiet, it was making me anxious. I never had to be in this position with the CEO before. All I did was drive him to meetings and show him schedules and stuff. I never had to be stuck in a car with him for more than thirty minutes. What was I supposed to say?!
Maybe five whole, silent minutes passed before something popped into my head.
“Have you eaten yet?” I almost pat myself on the back for this one!
“Yes.”
Annnd my confidence shattered. I nodded awkwardly, glancing at him from the rear view mirror. He was looking down at his tablet, like always, and wasn’t paying my awkward mood any mind.
I sighed, looking forward again, but before I could finish the sigh, CEO Lin spoke up, “Have you?”
I was so shocked that he made an attempt to keep the conversation going that it took me a few seconds before his words registered. I made eye contact with him through the mirror and shook my head to get back on track, “Uh, no. I haven’t yet. But I usually eat when you go to the meetings.”
“That’s a shame then, since I won’t be able to make it to the meeting. There’s a cafe down the street though, not that far,” he said, looking back down, “If you’re hungry then I suggest going there. You could probably get there in five or so minutes. I’ll pay for it.”
“I- uh-“ I was speechless, “Thank you. I guess I’ll be back in a few minutes then.” He nodded, handing me his card, “Do you want anything?”
He looked up at me, and for the first time in my whole entire life, I saw him smile. A real one. At me. And holy moly, he had dimples, oh my god-
“I’m fine. I’ve had my fair share of sweets today.”
I walked back to the car with the bag in hand. Despite him saying he had enough sweets, I still bought him something. A coffee, not sweet though because he didn’t like his coffee sweet.
I opened the door, setting the things in the passengers seat and looking back to check and see if he was okay.
I was met with his brown eyes staring back at mine.
He flashed a small smile, but quickly went back to normal as his eyes looked down to my hands, “You’re back so soon. What did you buy?”
“I bought a croissant and some coffee. I actually bought the coffee for you. I figured you’d need it.”
“Thank you.” He said as I handed him the coffee. He took a sip, nodding, “It tastes amazing.”
I smiled softly before turning back around and starting on my croissant. As I was eating, I started to think.
‘I’ve had my fair share of sweets’ but I haven’t seen him get any sort of sweets. And my desk is right outside of his office.
So he either has a secret stash that I don’t know about or he’s covering up the fact that he has diabetes and he can’t eat sweets.
I furrowed my brows as my teeth sunk into the treat. I’ve never seen him eat sweets for that matter. Every time I would make his coffee, it was always bitter. He even sent it back once when someone made it sweet.
He doesn’t like sweets.
So what was he talking about?
“By the way,” he started. I directed my attention to his face in the mirror. He was looking at his coffee cup, “You look really pretty today.”
The croissant I was chewing nearly found its way down my throat on its own. I choked and he looked up.
“Are you okay?”
I nodded, quicker than I ever have before which probably would’ve broke my neck if I continued, “Um, thank you. For the compliment. I don’t really know what to say because you always look good so—“
Wait. Did I just—?
“Thank you,” he responded, confirming the fact that I did, indeed, say that. Wow, where was my brain? “I didn’t mean it to say you don’t always look good though. Today you are just extra beautiful.”
I was so glad I wasn’t eating at that moment because I probably would’ve choked to death. He thought I was pretty? No— not just pretty— beautiful.
“Thank you, CEO Lin.” I said in the calmest way I could. On the inside though, my heart was racing. CEO Lin was, by far, the cutest person at the company. But cute is even an understatement. So to hear him say that I was beautiful was very... nice, to say the least.
I heard him sigh, “Well, since the meeting is now canceled and we are basically stranded until administration gets here, would you like to go somewhere with me?”
“Like where?”
“Maybe the park down the street,” He smiled at me through the rear view mirror, “As a date? And please, call me Yanjun.”
Walking side by side with the CEO— I mean Yanjun— wasn’t very new for me. But doing this as a date was. Unlike I thought, he actually had a lot to say. He was asking me a lot of questions about my life and how I like the job, hobbies, things I like to do at home. Basically, normal questions for getting to know someone. But it wasn’t boring like I would’ve thought, It was nice.
And then I remembered. And I stopped.
He stopped and looked back at me, “You okay?”
“Yeah, I just remembered something.”
He smiled, “What did you remember?”
“Earlier today you said that you had your fair share of sweets today. What did you mean?” I asked, my eyebrow raising a bit. He looked at me with a curious gaze before it went away. Now was the time where I would figure out if he had diabetes or not.
But what I wasn’t expecting was that he would start laughing, “Oh that! You want to know what that was about?”
“Yeah, I’m pretty curious because I never see you eating sweets.”
He smiled, walking up to me, “Just being around you is sweet enough for me.”

Her son and daughter are saying to make a kit it looks like this it's the Pontiac fiero GT it's like a super sport everything why would we do that and I noticed something it looks really cool couple things you can change and you really should make the front of the door match the back is the inlet the rear end needs to be fixed as a stupid bumper the front has his air intake system and we should leave it and the chassis has the performance package and you can sort of do it. So he's saying as like a conversion. Now this used to be mid-engine and it was pretty fast but the motor was 130 horsepower top speed was about 250 and people loved it and it disappeared and people can't figure out why and the reason is is it was way too fast and they were getting away with stuff and John remillard is a chicken s*** not only that he's very stupid and he thinks that he has a robot computer and he thinks she runs everything and it's disgusting it is so disgusting I can't stand him living there he's such a f****** moron pig is a mental patient our son is surrounded by mental patients who don't want to do anythingthere's a new nothing to suck at it they went and looked at stuff can't figure it out I think it's a lie don't care and who cares her all running to these cities thinking it's fake and we actually need to take the cities over and they mostly suck they can fix a lot of it but we can fix a lot of it this is an idea this car is a high performance vehicle there's a couple of chassis that would fit on and they're Asian and boy what a surprise that would be was a fiero showing up as like a hypercar and you can't really do it with panels you could but it wouldn't be really worthwhile and we would modify it a little so he's saying how can we do this people aren't going to go oh great a fiero. And we do have chassis and it would bring back the fiero so he's saying we get together because we want to start up Pontiac and the bunker buddies they want us to do it and we know that and we come up with a redesign that is still somewhat realistic and for a kit car at this time it was your mind of doing it at Pontiac and you'd have to move the engine but it's not worth it it really is not it wouldn't get up and go that would but and it's not much room to do it and it was not four wheel independent it had a special transmission so really you can't do too much with it you can do it kit and leave the engine in the front on a subcompact sedan would be for Pontiac fanatics and it would be a test he says and she's taking it too of the code. Pontiac is a symbol for an arrow so that's one thing I also have the G6 that's another car that's pretty nice and he's saying that we probably have these chassis everywhere and yeah they're about 220 horsepower and there's a monstrous pile of them and they're different brands mostly Chevy and Ford and it'll be too nice cars you can make cheap and pump them out with production in mind and both of them Pontiac and we like the idea it's kind of a weird thing that he likes doing strange things like this Pontiac is known as a fast car as a matter of fact the Pontiac is the horse size that white beauty was and yes she's white at the time she can change black and she likes it she's just a horse at the time of the rickshaw which is the VW golf and boy where the hell and people just to do a car was supposed to go through it because they made it to a nightmare for our son and bear with it is such horseshit but that's what they do we're going to go ahead and start this up
Thor Freya
Olympus
I might do some assembly and BJ wants to and what you're saying is the panels for the time being might be fiberglass and it will be faster and you're going to try and show us the frame and it's kind of complicated to move the engine back and it takes money and price so you don't have to go real fast they say the fiero will go about 2:35 and with the engine in the exhaust 255 and the G6 will go about 225 and 2:45 for the engine is exhaust and it's the shape and you can still fit four people in the G6 the other one you'd have storage and it'll be a fake man engine mid engine fake but really if you're transporting pets stuff you can give them fresh air it's kind of stupid but you can cut that out and put a fan and put a no fan it's a screen and a safety screen and really it works nice and they are nice and safe in there

Thinkin' about my trucks. I just love these little trucks so much! I used to drive a Colorado until I rolled it (oops) and I had a Pontiac G6 in college until a lady that had stolen a van ran a red light and t-boned me. I liked them both. But the trucks I have now are just SO much better imo. I also have another G6 at the moment and I like it well enough, but I still like my trucks more. Like if I have the option of either vehicle to take somewhere I choose the truck. It's older and probably not a super safe vehicle, but it's so cozy in the cab and the back window is huge so I have tons of visibility out the back. I have had NO issues with this truck. It runs so nice, which is crazy because it has 260k kms on it. My current G6 is starting to die and it has less kms on it than my old truck. Transmission is going in the car. But I got it for cheap so I don't really care. We are driving it until it's done. I love my trucks so much that I have 7 of them. I have 7 fucking Dakotas. And 4 of them run! I can't wait until we have the convertible running nice. It runs, but barely. I'm going to do an engine swap and take the V6 out and toss a V8 in it. They do better on fuel because they actually have the power to pull the truck, whereas the V6 doesn't quite so it sucks gas.
I WAS gonna have my uncle do the body work and paint it, but he wouldn't give me a straight answer when I asked if he would trade the work for some porcelain signs. He mentioned that he wanted some when I spoke to him about it, but when I asked if he would do a trade he kept saying he would think about it and get back to me and then he never did and he ignored Jon's messages despite that he asked me to give Jon his number so they could talk about collectibles and signs since that's what Jon does for work. Also my uncle and aunt are being shitty to my parents about some stuff so I'm not interested in getting my uncle to do the work anymore. He gave me a really great estimate for the work, but I doubt he would actually stick to what we discussed so whatever. Maybe we will do it ourselves. No idea when I'll be able to afford to do the work and no idea when Jon will have the time to help me because I don't really know how to weld, but it'll get done eventually. It's too cool a truck to not restore.
#personal text#first gen dakota appreciation post#i just love these trucks sooooo much!#ugh i need to get back to studying#im never gonna have a cooler vehicle than my vert tbh#its literally SO cool#also im dreaming about putting an electric engine in it down the road when those become more affordable to get#then i could have it forever 😍

Driving to the San Antonio TX provincial dealer is in some cases presumably a affordable or snap possibility to create a fresh key by the VIN number, but in a few occasions (for example GM) the dealership require you to show a lawful car title or registration with an identical address on your photo ID. In a few other events, the dealership don't have access to obsolete key codes by the vehicle identification number (for example Mazda, Mercury and Ford), the dealer-ship may forge recovery keys merely for models from the last ten years.
As well as the constraints above, in varied occasions, your car is locked on the highway in a far country side, with a locked with the key in the truck or broken key in the ignition and to use the dealer-ship will interpolate close to surplus $100 for a tow truck service.
About Pontiac G6 key and lock instrument
Pontiac is the United States of America's international well-known vehicle maker of common cars and turn into being one of the bulkiest U.S.A car-maker since 1926.
Pontiac originate employing transponder chip keys in 1999. Decrepit Pontiac chip keys can be copied by a convenient economical dash-board console duplication procedure.
Recent vehicles depends on year and model switched the keys and locks system to an encoded transponder keys that demand a unique key programmer and diagnostic devices in order to duplicate a spare key.
Starting from 2007, Several Pontiac vehicles are utilizing push-to-start ignition and Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) as either standard or optional infrastructure.
Ignition repair
Seemingly one of the most generic manifestation of ignition issue is a motor vehicle that wont kindle, broken your ignition key, ignition key is stiffly turning or key is stuck and you cant goes off the engine.
Often your ignition issue is due to corrosion or dirt stuck in the ignition key crack or maybe a detach or broken arbor or pin inside the ignition switch preventing the ignition from turning around as usual.
Defective ignition lock must be replaced or repaired straight-away and is a duty better done by a well versed motor vehicle locksmith (in particular if your vehicle is furnished with air bags). ignition cylinder repair or replacement generally involves removing the steering column, which might create unsafe airbag positioning if done by non-experience hands. Ignition switch repair or replacement normally costs $145–$349.
When dealeng with a damaged key, the symptom may be that key will only turn half way in the ignition which actually mean that the key is damaged and need to be out placed. A damaged key better be duplicated from the vehicle ID number to avoid the liability of replicating the problem to the cut and programmed key. An automobile lock smith should use suitable Pontiac G6 cutters, programmers and diagnostic tools to construct a brand-new key which will costs $160–$260.
Chipped key create
Towenty years ago manufacturers of automobiles world-wide changed nearly all of their vehicle key and lock mechanisms to electric anti theft system, passive anti theft or transponder chipped key keys including a little chip concealed into the key blade or bill likewise ECU.
Even though transponder chip key is absolutely helpful, copying isn't a rapid, moderate price trip to the regional hardware store or dealer-ship. Incidents like dead fob key battery, misplacing your keyless device at the beach or stolrn chipped key, on top of cutting a blank-key, the key has to be programmed to the car by a proper key programming machine done by a lock smith or at the dealer and will cost approximately 180-600$ depend on maker, model and year.
Pontiac G6 proximity key
Proximity key remotes, also known as (RKE or RKS) allow a user to unlock and lock their truck or car clicking the remote besides other components like opening the trunk or kindling the fog lights to upsurge visibility in cold weather or at night. Moreover, many contemporary keys incorporate remote starting feature which is becoming mandatory on advanced cars.
Practically all smart-keys incorporate a proximity-detector-based technology that is triggered when the smart key located within a set range of the car. This Smart-key are hands free meaning that the car can be locked and unlocked or kindle and deactivate the car without driver input.
Copy vs lost car keys
Car keys in the last 2 decades cost much more then $1.50 metal bladed keys at a nearest walmart or home depot store. Current Pontiac G6 keys have gone computerized high security, flip key, keyless entry device and keyfob consisting transponder keys that need to be programmatically synced with key coding machine to the car immobiliser. If the immobiliser doesnt identify a matching key, the combustible system will block and the motor vehicle wouldn't flare up. This infrastructure arranges a security factor safeguarding the cancellation of a misplaced or stolen key.
While dash-board platform is handy on few previous vehicles to conveniently duplicate keys, in most cases to get a supplementary key programmed, the transponder inside the key has to be programmatically synced by a compatible programmer owned by the dealership or a locksmith which customarily cost about $50-$120 in addition to the cost of the key blank.
A lost key to an automobile is a complete different situation, as the car computer module has to be re-coded to employ the new key and refuse the lost key which actually means that you will have hire a mobile motor vehicle locksmith or haul your car to the dealer.
Utilizing this practice arranges a security factor safeguarding the cancellation of the misplaced or stolen key, though key recovery, platform applicable solely to a licensed locksmith or the Pontiac G6 dealer-ship and therefore will priced as approximately $185–$270.

The Emergency Goalie
In hockey there are ultimately four lines of defense. The front line of that defense, is of course the two skaters who are, well yeah, playing defense. The second, is the guy on the team with the most expensive paint job on his helmet; the starting goaltender. That’s right, your Patrick Roys, Henrik Lundqvists, Arturs Irbes, and if you’re watching the Red Wings, whoever didn’t get pulled last game after letting in four goals in the first period. Behind those guys are the backup goalies who play when the starter is sick, injured, doing bad, or might need a break after too many consecutive games. These guys are the real heroes, who often boost morale for the team from the end of the bench usually reserved for the stick rack or medical staff. Who does that leave? The lonely soul who’s phone number lay etched in a bar napkin buried beneath the tattered cardboard from a 20-pack of Powerade crushed under the second row of seats in the coach’s Suburban. The one who’s a foot shorter than the team’s shortest center. The man who works part-time at the fitness center, but full-time in the paint department at an Ace Hardware. The one that’s rarely called. The one that’s never sober. The emergency goalie.
It was two weeks before our very own number one suffered catastrophic engine failure. Which to be clear isn’t any of the times it overheated, needed another new fuel pump or another alternator, or even when it just didn’t want to do anything for months. Two weeks before the inevitable happened, I bought another Xterra. My theory was that if the one I bought for just over $2000 was both a living nightmare and a RockAuto vendor’s wet dream, could you imagine what type of wild pleasure I could unearth after putting my Herbie Hancock amid the stained edges of the title to one for $800?
It was a 2001, one-owner, 231,XXX mile, replacement muffler included in the price, squeals when you turn the wheel too far in either direction dream cruise. You know how anyone with a pink deer decal on the back of either their Pontiac G6 or Jeep Liberty is a tan blonde college girl? Solar Yellow, is that pink deer decal for Xterras. Like that decal, this color too screams I AM PASSIONATE OF NOTHING to strangers in traffic. Many Xterra owners resort to nicknaming their trucks after the retro arcade game that will never die, PacMan, which is fitting because for every year the Xterra was sold up until 2009, the truck was available in Solar Yellow. Complete with the stereotypical damage-multiplier bumper that works as well as a wrist brace in a fist fight, because whatever you’ve just ran into regardless of where on the front of the truck you’ve ran into it, has now equally distributed it’s damage to both headlights and across the top of the hood. And much like any American Cheese yellow SUV, the brush guard front bumpers with matching taillight cages, are fucking ugly.
This four-wheel-drive squinting like you’re taking a shit emoji Xterra had sat for over two years before little ole’ “I should know better” [me] came running to it. It needed work.
All four shocks felt pretty toast, but only the front tires were worn down to the cords. Have you heard of Provider Entrada tires? Neither did I, but if it sounds like a menu item at Chipotle and they come in pairs for $30; as long as my girlfriend doesn’t find out, count me in. The tires from the junkyard held air, so next was a second oil change. The oil was dark, and to avoid a second blown engine, I drove for a few days with the first fresh oil change, but soon changed it again just to be safe. Spark plugs and wires were next, and to my surprise, this truck had 5 champion spark plugs, and one NGK. The lone NGK plug was that pesky sparkplug#6 that apparently if you’re too stupid to figure out a simple combination of wobble extensions and u-joints, you just fucking leave it in there forever hoping it changes itself. It doesn’t.
With a $40 Walmart battery I hit the streets in a truck that was roughly a Dodge Journey Uber ride to work for a week less embarrassing, than having to Uber to work for a week in a fucking Dodge Journey. It had a sunroof, which our Xterra didn’t, but the stock radio was a serious killer. I’m convinced only clinically insane people still listen to AM/FM radio in 2017. The best part about paying for a music subscription is that unlike AM/FM radio, you have access to more than 8 different songs from the last 200 years.
The power steering pump was in bad shape and I didn’t want to replace it. I had hoped soon I could sell this lemon meringue pie eyesore, so I kept maintenance to a minimum. Did it need a timing belt and water pump? Probably. Did it wobble both times I drove it on the highway at 65mph because the original shocks just couldn’t shock anymore? Sure. Was I going to fix any of that? Not this time you fucking money pit.
I did replace the muffler because I knew it would help it sell. The y-pipe did look like it might need replaced soon, but the previous owner only had the muffler section, so there was no sense in not installing free parts. The check engine light had been defeated, and after a junkyard hood latch assembly was bolted on, the hood could now stay closed without the help from ratchet straps or duct tape.
The interior however is where things got really messy. Mold had grown in both of the rear-passenger cupholders and blanketed across each scratched plastic panel and cushion seat sat a layer of neglect. Chicken nuggets and broken Asprins had invaded the carpet. We found over $14 in pocket change, and after removing the front seats to power wash them, through some sort of fake-reality restoration TV magic, brought the interior back to life.Unfortunately on this TV show, none of our wealthy cousins, who we had hired hours before the filming for the episode started, called us willing to pay a lot of money for something so worthless.
During the prolonged downtime, this $800 pineapple-flavored life saver came in handy numerous times. It was used to haul tools and parts back and forth between work at home, as well as go under the knife a few times to test various parts between the two trucks. As humiliating as it was to drive everyday, it spent more days this year as a functioning vehicle, than the silver Xterra has ever achieved consecutively.
After the engine swap hit rock bottom, I knew I had to get away from something old with so many miles, and soon. After only a few days listed on Craigslist, where all project cars begin, someone actually serious about buying it called, and I sold the truck for $1700. The extra money was a huge help, especially because I had to find something, and move away from the every evening and weekend consuming hobby of owning yet another Nissan anything.
It’s a perfect example of being an emergency goalie. You’re on-call for a long time without ever getting called, but when you’re called upon for those meaningless last two minutes in the game, you’re better than nothing, and sometimes, that’s just good enough.
InAnXterra is a blog about two people in Michigan with a Nissan Xterra from Craigslist as they journey to the Dakotas!

The Pontiac G6 GTP is Better Than Expected | Review
youtube
My son says his Kia had a 200 horsepower engine and it still pulled four people in pretty easily and it did we like this vehicle it's a good choice for him and he probably put some stuff on it to make it look better and they have all sorts of kits for these things so it is a choice that he could do and they're not much money and it's not too long ago and we do know what happens we think we know what car is planned and G6 is a term they like and he would have to purchase it and down here it's kind of hazardous everything goes through storms and yeah tomorrow's going to be kind of a little dicey and around 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. it's going to start so we're going to have them close the windows a little I'll get it woken up on the other one and this is not going to be fun here it will start getting pretty wet at the mouth of the river and no it's a harbor it's going to start coming in instead of going out no it'll still go out but the water's going to be about a foot below the high canal mark and the tide will come in send me massive turbulence and it's going to rip some of that poop out but still about 2 and 1/2 ft almost 3 ft and some places and it's going to rip out inches and it will stink but it's going to flow right out it's a major incense getting it should be done by hand but Tommy F won't allow it and they all know it and they're in hell and they have have to try and get them out and they can't seem to move our son and he screwed around with the car insurance idea today and they're telling him he's all done and yeah so this is terrible this this guy is out of control we need people to know it and tell me if needs a lot more attention and he is just abusing the hell out of trump and they're into it and Trump is passing it down because he's kind of a passive aggressive sleaze ball and he can't trust him either and he knows it cuz he's now pronouncing it and announcing it. We have some other things to do they're pretty good sized and we are starting up several programs and are very huge and we do need our son's attention to come tomorrow and he says I hope she can instead of working on trying to get out of a flood so we understand that he doesn't have a way to move and it's already getting kind of dicey here with people too but he's got to do the job he says and today went very well especially the last hour and we are going to shine in the sky Trump is going to get beaten up for doing what the max smart with the max want we have several other things happening tonight around here there are neighbors who are yelling and screaming at each other and feeling for stuff and things and we are going to stop them and we want them out of here and this is huge action going on and they don't need to be here there's going to be a large number of people running today to the border into escape Florida the pseudo empire is invading and they have had enough a couple more points our boy is very patient but he's tired right now and he's a little bit loopy but she's used to it no she can hear it is actually thinking that he's fine he's just under a lot of pressure and he's not worried about it he used to making funny noises because he's still kind of a child and just tell me the stuff that's true too they came and looked at the water and he went back to stem and he said
You can't even see the driveway for the most part they're always getting flooded and it smells like s*** everywhere and Stan said keep your voice down said why he knows about it and then he said he's this guy we're fighting on trying to get it done and he heard a son was going yeah it's absolutely true he's constantly fighting the obvious so the idiot is back and we don't want him here and he is starting to threaten already and we are sending people to take care of his and erase them constantly. You do have a couple more points
-these people are nuts but this guy is a loser I'm sending people now
-we have a lot of companies that were taking in and we need factory workers by the trillions and today and tomorrow any experience.
-we have a lot of construction work and we need construction workers of any level and any occupation same for the factors we need office workers too and tons of them
-there's a lot going on tonight and we surmised a lot of it there's a couple more things that got added and it is a stressful situation the will eventually alleviate stress they are having a Battle above and they come here in case they need to kidnap him they say supposedly save him and we are able to direct him and his need evil people and we're going through his stuff all over and announcing his sins against his an effort to break him off this turned into a monumental task and I need people to know it please send it around and get assistance here ASAP.
,-we have a war brewing with these warlock we should not be giving them help and we do need a lot of trucks back but we want them out of our hair son of a double-edged sword
-we need to clear out tons of these guys it's coming up soon this month they will go up there the 25th and not too long after they are met up with Trump's people who are supposedly rushing or trying to take over all the observation points and they're trying to do stuff to them and it's just not working and you can see it throughout the movie and they are suppressing information then they're not and they're very lackadaisical and very arrogant and we need to cut them down so they stop doing this but this is going to happen very soon within two or three weeks because the 25th is coming up and it's pretty much the 14th almost and that's only 10 days and then the other rocket to whatever you call it transport vehicle looks like a satellite goes up there a day or two after and yeah we think that they write a satellite in it's really weird and they do it because they probably use something other than a rocket yeah and this kicks off a whole bunch of movies this is a gigantic event and bja starts moving people up there and going after this guy for real and he is slaughtered sounds like 2% by this Monday off Island and you can't pull people off it's horrible for him

Steering - Power Steering Leaking Fluid
INFORMATION
Bulletin No.: 07-02-32-002M
Date: March 27, 2012
Subject: -Hydraulic Power Steering System Leak Required Diagnostic Actions
Models:
2005-2013 GM Passenger Cars and Trucks
Equipped with Hydraulic Steering
Supercede:
This bulletin is being revised to update the model years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 07-02-32-002L (Section 02 - Steering).
Condition
Some customers may comment on a fluid leak under the front of the vehicle. Upon further investigation, the technician may find fluid leaking from
the power steering system. Please use the following information to assist in diagnosis.
Diagnostic Information
Important
All potential leaks should be completely cleaned and identified before attempting to repair or replace any power steering components.
1. Start diagnosis by inspecting the fluid level in the power steering reservoir. If the fluid level is NOT low, a careful analysis of the condition is
necessary as it may involve a different type of fluid leak.
2. Visually inspect the components where the fluid has accumulated.
3. Before the component is replaced, inspect fittings and connections for proper torque.
4. Clean the area around connections, joints and seals with engine degreaser.
5. Add fluorescent dye (such as Kent Moore GE 28431-6) to the power steering fluid.
6. Start the vehicle and allow the power steering system to reach normal operating temperatures.
7. Turn the steering wheel to the stops in each direction while bumping the steering wheel against the stops 3-4 times. This will build maximum
steering system pressure and help identify the source of the leak if present.
Caution
DO NOT hold the steering wheel against the stops as this will damage the power steering pump.
8. Determine the source of the leak.
9. When returning the part to the Warranty Parts Center (WPC), mark the component with the location of the leak using a paint marker, paint or
tape to highlight the location of the leak.
10. If a repeatable leak is found, refer to the following tables to determine the proper corrective action needed.

Repairable Leaks
*Steering Line Fitting Seals
Some vehicles are equipped with a "duck-bill" style seal that is pierced by the power steering line during installation to the gear at vehicle assembly.
Vehicles that are equipped with this type seal are:
- 2010-2013 Buick LaCrosse
- 2011-2013 Buick Regal
- 2007-2013 Cadillac Escalade
- 2005-2013 Chevrolet Malibu
- 2007-2013 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe
- 2007-2013 GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali, Yukon Denali XL
- 2006-2010 Pontiac G6
- 2007-2009 Saturn AURA
These seals are replaceable and any leak at the line to gear connection on these vehicles should be first addressed with a seal replacement. Use a
J-44586 Power Steering Gear Oil Seal Remover/Installer (2) to replace the seals (1).
Non-Repairable Leaks
2016 GMC Truck Acadia AWD V6-3.6L Page 60
*If fluid is observed at the adjuster plug during the initial visual inspection, then refer to the following:
- Seepage at the adjuster plug may not necessarily indicate an active leak. Power steering fluid is used during the manufacturing of the
gear/rack. The fluid used at assembly is pushed into the pinion area during assembly. The adjuster plug and the area below the pinion are not
positively sealed. Fluid trapped in this area during assembly may seep from the adjuster plug. The rack should not be replaced for this
condition.
- You can distinguish seepage from an active leak by removing the left tie rod boot clamp and inspecting for the presence of fluid at the inner tie
rod.
- If no fluid is found in the left tie rod boot, replace the boot clamp and clean the seepage from the rack. No further action is needed.
- If fluid is found in the left tie rod boot, replace the gear assembly.
Warranty Information
For vehicles repaired under warranty please refer to the Labor Time Guide and claim the applicable Labor Operation for the repaired or replaced
component. Failure to return the replaced part with the location of the leak clearly marked or if there is no evidence of dye being used to identify the
source of the leak may result in a debit of the entire warranty claim.
