Pontiac G6 Concept, 2003. A prototype for the production G6 that was presented at the North American International Auto Show. It used GM's Epsilon Platform, the concept car had a 285hp 3.5 litre supercharged V6 driving all 4 wheels. The G6 replaced the 5th generation Grand Am and went on to be the last car produced by Pontiac in 2010

Pontiac G6 GXP Coupe Concept

To continue on with the G6 concept, this GXP model theoretically would be introduced later to the revived Pontiac lineup. Nestled under the hood is an impressive Supercharged V6 motor paired with a choice of a 6 speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission with manual paddle shift mode. Concept shown here, it would uniquely stand out from the rest of the G6 lineup with hood vents, side ventilation vents and nice quad exhaust. Also this would have an exclusive set of paint options that would only be available to the GXP version of the G6.

Intro (Information Ahead, Don't Worry)

Believe it or not, I'm a Pontiac fanatic. My first two cars were Pontiacs (rip to my G6, and right now, I'm trying to revive my Formula🙏), and I still cry over any Pontiac I see on the streets or rotting away in random neighboring yards. I go to car shows often to see if I can spot the crown, the firebird. A lot of times, yes, but more than most times, it's always the Smokey and the Bandit classic (hey, I'm not complaining; the screaming chicken is a beaut).

I figured that, for my first car feature on this page, it'd be one of my favorites... from one of my favorite body decades.

Information

1967 was the first time we saw the Firebirds roll out, and thus, four generations ('67-'02) and four models (Firebird, Esprit, Formula, Trans Am) were born. A competitor to the Ford Mustang after the Chevrolet Corvair restyling f*cked up GM's wanting pony car victory, the Pontiac Firebird originally had a coke-bottle style (which later faded once Gen 2 was designed -- it's the '70s now, what can I say?) and the "Magnificent Five" (Firebird, Sprint, 326, HO, and 400) featured many different customizations. Interior colors featured Blue, Gold, Red, Black, and Parchment (not including seat colors, which are the same but differ seat choice), while the exterior had Starlight Black, Cameo Ivory, Montreux - Fathom - and Tyrol Blues, Signet Gold, Linden Green, Gulf - and Mariner Turquoises, Plum Mist, Burgundy, Silverglaze, Regimental Red, Champagne, and Montego Cream (not including top colors, which are the same but differ top choice).

Three of the "Magnificent Five" (326, HO, and 400) included a V8. The 400 had the highest horsepower, at 325hp / 4800rpm (Ram Air = 5200rpm) (400in3), and the max torque of 556nm / 3400rpm. Along with the Sprint and HO, it had the four-barrel carburetor. All were RWD and had hardtop or convertible options.

The car depicted above is a Firebird 400 convertible (if you brighten the photo, you can tell by the red oval-lined tires), which appears to be Regimental Red with a red Strato bucket seat interior.

I do not know anything about cars and I don’t think of them 😭 when I was like 12 I said my dream car was a red corvette, mostly bc of the prince song, but I don’t think that holds today.

maybe a my first car? it was a 2004 convertible pontiac g6 and I loved her with everything in me, but then my sister totaled her by driving into a ditch, and I miss her everyday </3

otherwise idk my real dream is to live somewhere where I can walk and don’t need a car, or have one that I just keep for road trips or smth, like a little town I can easily walk into but also have a car to drive to the next town over. I dream of that scenario, not specific cars.

In this scenario there would be a few trim levels when it came to the returned G6 coupe, the base would be nicely equipped. But the higher end GT trim will feature an option technology package with LED Array headlamps, LED DRL, 360 Camera, Driver safety aided tech and much more. Body styling is different between the Standard, GT, and GTP models; this provides buyers with more choices for configuration starting from the base of each trim. With the GTP being the most performance oriented of the G6 trims; it will be lower in stance than the GT and Standard versions and could be offered in rear wheel or front wheel drive. Later in it's production an even crazier limited ran GXP model could be offered with a supercharged V6 and standard manual transmission.

I love my car.

I guess that's kind of a ridiculous thing to say, everyone loves theor car to some extent... but i want to tell you about mine. She's a 2008 toyota highlander hybrid. Her name is Galadriel, from lord of the rings. Best we can tell, she was a showroom car before being bought and we'll taken care of in a state with little to no snow, so even at 200k miles, she has no rust.

My grandmother gave me a budget of 6k to find a car after my old one was sold. That's another story I'm sure I'll tell later, but not relevant to my lady's story. I had my two mechanic partners search for cars within my budget, stuff that would be easy to repair and easy to get parts for. There were several they sent me, but none stuck out to me like this one.

I talked them down from 5k to 4.5k, and there was a wrench in the driver door. We joke that I bought a 3.5 k wrench and a 1k car. She had bad brake issues. Something I haven't fixed to this day, but I'll touch on that later.

She's moved me from southern illinois, to st Louis Missouri, to mt vernon, and back to southern illinois. Including purchase price. I've put less than 10k into this old girl and gotten 50k miles out of her.

Got hit in the rear quarter panel. She crawled over a ditch until a lot to file an insurance claim. She lost a wheel going 60mph on a highway, she's been on more rage filled screaming at music drives than I can count.

But thers good in her story too... my best friend falling asleep to toy story 2 in the backseat, my girlfriend, reliving childhood memories over a long drive with a DVD player in the back seat. Giving me a safe place from my accident trauma. A vehicle I can rely on to protect me and my passengers.

She is the first SUV I've ever owned, and now, I don't want any other vehicle. I've had a Pontiac g6, a chevy impala, and a 97 Buick lesabre. I loved all of these cars, but none as much as my lady galadriel. I learned on an f150, felt the power of the mustang and camaro, but she will always be my favorite.

One of her digital displays is dead, so I have a 50th anniversary hickey mouse clock pinned above the mirror. Next to that, an SCP-1762 pin, one of my favorite articles for how it frames forgetting. Third and finally, a legitimate D.A.R.E. pin, for ironic reasons. A gift from my lovely girlfriend, the gem of my life.

When we got her, we couldn't figure out how to swap the middle seat in the 2nd row for the cupholder. Come to find out, the release strap had fallen into the seat and needed to be fished out. Dug it out with a clothes hanger and fashioned a catch to keep it from falling in again. Next, my other girlfriend, my precious foxxo, gave me a pin that said "mommies little princess" to help keep from loosing the strap.

My car is a canvass, to be painted by my friends, family, and those passing through. Be their paint memories, stains, or pins. She tells a story, much like I do. From the things left by others to the scars I carry, everything has its story.

There's a few other things happening but some people don't get along and we know why we had bad history but this guy is a dick Trump and he's a loser we need him the hell out of here and he goes walking by all the time it's like so what we're going to have to get you and we do I mean talk about stupid we do have an announcement or two yeh-

He told a few of the guys he said try and figure it out it's actually good fun and they did and they're saying stuff is his luck and that he says look and that's our son that's it he didn't get it and he didn't say anything that he got it another thing he's saying and it's starting to happen he says he thinks this firebird represents minority morlock and this is definitely how the Mac proper speak and the Saturn represents actual minority it's a big difference and it's not hard to tell that it's true people don't want it to be true but that's what it is this is big news we have other news but this takes precedence it's very large the Saturn is in the wheel on the two knuckleheads want to get it to him they think they might try and do it now to get it ahead of time and our son says all you'll be doing is bringing them intelligence for their fight against them down there and making it worse but they want to use it as a symbol to bring them in and start it off and to threaten our son with and to try and kidnap him thinking it'll start a global war. So we're going to hit them for what they're saying that such losers. Now minority morlock have been at them for quite some time but it's about to get bigger and the ebike doesn't make any sense and he said it's like a small firebird it's with their same as something and it might be the seat my seats go into a smaller version of a firebird there was the sunbird he thinks he's sold it and he had the sunburn in Florida and he moved it with the truck and he has it in storage no he left it there in California so yeah he doesn't know what he did with it but that's an actual small firebird so they need the information and they're saying it and that kind of stuff works and everybody picks on our son and somebody's driving by saying it's really an American car and it sounds like this mustang it has a V6 that's pretty sippy but it's a convertible and he doesn't like convertibles and we don't either. Truth is he thinks he sold it because he said he did they want to get it to him but he doesn't like convertibles. There's another possibility is a older Grand Am that the girls used to own and he seems to be in an apartment the girl was in the one across town was a guy then it was a girl again Tricia was in there it's not true it's Emily blunt said this guy kicked me out as the excuse Alicia's using it and Emily was the small girl teeny blonde so that's what they're working on and the Grand Am looks like a BMW 1 9q now they're putting this number in 19 q that's Mac proper cuz he's trying to hit it while he's using the water didn't come out right and the Grand Am is powerful enough and nice enough but really it's very very old but there's other cars that are not as old a G6 is old too old but we're getting to it

In the heat of the night ended with what looked like Dan holding a gun on him but it's not and it's a big gun these guys on phone around they have gear that's what it's called
