Anya: "Are you sure you want him to accompany you?"

You watched Daisuke, who was excitedly putting on his spacesuit with Swansea's help. 

"It's a walk of less than 20 meters, I'll be by his side, I want to give the child the experience." 

You smiled at her, putting on your helmet, ready to enter the departure lounge with the boy. 

You all had finally arrived. 

Upon opening the hatch, the ship was connected to the Pony Express station, having to take a short walk to enter it.

"Daisuke, can you hear me? Don't stay away from me."

Daisuke: "I hear you loud and clear, captain... Woah... This is amazing..."

He murmured with his eyes reflecting the stars of the universe and walking behind you. 

You entered the access code you had, and the doors slowly opened, allowing them to enter. 

After passing the gravity adjustment zone, you took off your suits for a moment to have greater mobility and comfort to call for rescue. 

Daisuke: "Huh, they also have thousands of posters with Polly here."

"Don't stay too far from me, okay? Here we are fine, but this place is huge, I don't want you to get lost or break anything." 

You indicated the way to the control room so you could communicate with Pony Express. 

A candy vending machine had caught Daisuke's attention, who smiled and headed over to get some treats. 

You get inside the room once you found it, looking for the signal that communicated with the station on Earth. 

"Co-Captain (Y/n) of the Tulpar speaking, can anyone hear me?" 

You spoke into the radio, hoping for a response from the other side, which you got.

"Co-captain, did you had any trouble?"

You almost cried when you heard the voice on the other end, but you kept your composure to respond. 

"The Tulpar crashed into an asteroid, we have no way to pilot the ship ourselves, the autopilot directed us here after we were diverted by the impact. Captain Curly has been very badly injured after the crash. We await rescue at station 27-4-33. We have a crew member removed for violating the Pony Express behavior rules." 

You sighed with a smile as you said that. 

"We received the information about the crash, the cockpit technology alerted us, and a bad practice was made, you caused the crash yourselves." 

"...We need a rescue at station 27-4-33"

You repeated it, ignoring what he said, as it didn't seem relevant to you at that moment. 

"They will be deducted for all the damages caused to the ship, their salaries will be revoked."

"Do whatever you want with that money! We need you to send a rescue, damn it!"

You were already getting frustrated with the monotonous voice on the other end. 

"A rescue ship will be sent to you, it will arrive at the station in about three months, along with a specialized sector for the person who needs to be reprimanded, hold on there. Is the load still intact?"

You were ready to insult them again, but you chose to keep your comments to yourself.

"...No, the cargo has been opened, two boxes have been emptied..."

"That will also be deducted from your crew. Later, we will clarify the individuals responsible for each incident to deduct from the appropriate person. Thank you for your honesty and patience, Co-Captain (Y/n)"

You ended the transmission, not wanting to hear anything more of what he had to say to you, you couldn't believe he cared more about the material damage than the crew. 

"Now... All that's left is to wait..."

You moved side to side in the swivel chair, looking at the ceiling, thinking about what was going to happen next. 

Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard a loud bang coming from the hallway. 

You immediately got up from your seat and ran towards the noise, to find Daisuke with his arm stuck in the vending machine. 

"...Daisuke..."

Daisuke: "It didn't give me my toffees!... Can you help me?"

He smiled at you somewhat embarrassed as he said that, you furrowed your brow for a moment and then laughed a little.

"There's no other option but to amputate your arm."

You found his terrified face amusing at your words, but soon you calmed him down to slowly help him pull his arm out of that machine. 

Daisuke: "My toffees..."

You looked at the machine, the candy he had selected was stuck, you took a few steps to move away from there.

Daisuke thought they were going back to the ship, until he saw you running towards the machine and you gave it a good kick, breaking the glass that protected the candy. 

"Grab as many as you can, we can take them in the suitcase to the ship."

You pointed to a suitcase that was used to carry things from the station to the ship in space.

"I'll look for medicine and bandages, Curly needs a change... I hope their wounds haven't gotten infected... We have been reusing his bandages...

You shook your head, wanting to rid yourself of the bad thoughts, ready to go get the medicine, while Daisuke was happy eating the treat he had chosen.

• All of the greasers are gymnastics stars because Darry took a class at the YMCA and taught the gang because it might be useful for a fight

• Two-Bit and Soda once got arrested for doing flips and stuff and disturbing the people

• Two-Bit always gets extra drunk before a rumble

• Ponyboy tried drinking once and hated it and got grounded by Darry for two weeks

• Tim had broken his nose twice

• Tim reminded Pony of an alley cat

• The difference between Tim and the greasers gang is that Tim is the leader of his gang and controls everything in the gang. The greasers all are leaders in their own way.

• Ponyboy was the youngest at the rumble

• Curly was 15 (I always thought pony and him were both 14)

• Darry likes to take two people people in a rumble at a time

• Paul and Darry played on the same football team in high school

• Tim broke his nose again at the end of the rumble

• Soda nor Darry had ever been beaten in a fight

• Dallas threatened the hospital staff with Two-Bits switch blade

• Steve broke 3 ribs in the rumble

• Dallas threatened a nurse AGAIN when trying to see Johnny

Marrow Bloom - 9 Days After Market Attack

Discord has been keeping Fluttershy quarantined since the attack.

I wish he would use this spell on the others but he can't be everywhere at once.

He only lets her out of the ward spell to clean her and remove the flowers.

Her skin is so delicate. Scrub too hard and it comes off.

The ward is only slowing the effects a little bit...

Dr. Fauna - Stage 4

The town guards found her at the animal sanctuary. She had killed every animal that did not escape.

A few animals were blooming but most were just dead.

Roots are starting to reach for the ground and he is exhibiting a behavior we have dubbed "STAR GAZING"

She is also bleeding a lot but doesn't seem to be affected. Some of the doctors believe the sap from the flowers is sustaining her.

She doesn't have long...

CHEERILEE

Died from her wounds at stage 3 but the bloom progressed to stage 4 anyway.

Based on the scans of her head it seems the blooms do not cause the madness that occurs at later stages.

We theorize that the sap may be the cause due to the roots not breaking through the skull cavity.

Hopefully we can use what we learned from Cheerilee to come up with an effective treatment.

THE OUTSIDERS GANGS FAV ART SUPPLIES AND WHY

Two-Bit: Crayons. He fw crayons so hard. He likes the funny names and colors and the smell of crayons. He will doodle to hell and back with crayons.

Ponyboy: good old pencils, charcoal if possible. Cannot stand seeing Two-Bit use crayons to draw things because he cannot fathom not being able to erase lines or have perfect precision and control when drawing.

Johnny: Markers. But only because he doesn't like drawing on paper or flat things, only doodling on his skin or clothes. He and Ponyboy have matching stars on their shoes because Johnny found a marker and wanted to doodle one day at the lot with Pony. Now its just agreed between them that while Johnny doodles on Pony's arm or shoes, Pony is either watching the sky or sketching Johnny.

Soda: Glue. It's his favorite because it's so practical, from gluing together small crafts to fixing things. He may not have the attention span to be super artsy, but he enjoys being crafty and making more unconventional art.

Dallas: Needle and thread. It might not be the most common "art supply", but he enjoys making patches or messily hand-sewing little designs into his clothes when he's bored. Stemmed from needing to learn how to sew to keep his clothing intact, which he still does, but its more of a hobby now. But he hides it from the gang in fear of them mocking him for it. Johnny knows though, Dallas one time had to help him stitch up his jean jacket and left a little star embroidered in the collar. Its still there to this day.

Darry: Paint. I think he used to paint sometimes in his spare time, but not super often. Especially when he was in high school. He secretly enjoyed art class and as of now he hasn't been able to touch paint since repainting a wall or two at home. He never paints for himself anymore.

Steve: Pen. Steve enjoys drawing and doodling with pen because its bold and confident, so confident it can't be erased.

This isn't about art supplies.

In all seriousness though, I thought about this while coloring with crayon today and thought I'd share it on here. I think Two-Bits is my favorite, crayon is underrated ✊

Another… night… Another workday.” Princess Luna said while she stretched walking to her bedroom preparing herself for the daily duties of an alicorn princess like her.

“Hello, sis. Everything ready for the night?” Princess Celestia said while she walked across the corridor to take a well-deserved rest after a long day of duties.

“You bet! The moon is raised and let me tell you that tonight’s stars are few of my best ones…” The dark blue alicorn said proudly.

“Great! Dreams realm patrol then?” Celestia asked.

“Dream realm patrol,” Luna affirmed. Soon both sisters said goodnight and left. Princess Luna, had, like every single night, to lay down on her bed while she used her special magic powers to patrol the dreams realm to find dangerous nightmares and help ponies with all their troubles and nighttime fears. After all, that was her main task as the princess of the night and it was pretty important to keep her subjects safe and sound. Sadly, this task was getting more and more boring with time. For some reason ponies were sleeping less, dreaming less and having more boring dreams each night.

“Time to work.” princess of the night after all. She had to find out something related to the sacred part of the day that she guarded, not just being the sidekick of the princess of the day. That'd be humiliating...

Luna thought that if she was going to change her way of working, she had to find out how and soon. She returned to her bedroom and turned on one of those new machines recently installed in the whole castle. Every worker there apparently has one. Those were called computers and were getting pretty popular in recent times. They could help the ponies without magic writing faster and better. It was possible to read books on it without visiting a library. But maybe most important, thanks to the technologies team of the Princess Celestia School for gifted unicorns, it was possible to navigate on a thing called Magic Network of Machines or MNM… Usually just called MagicNet to abbreviate. The same theology that connected the dreams or magic of unicorns from long distances was now able to transmit information through the air. Amazing, huh?

Princess Luna used then her magic to turn on and control the strange device. In the first weeks, it was hard to control, but with the time it was easier than levitating feathers in magic kindergarten. Luna entered in the MagicNet with the hope of finding a good way to make the nighttime job more interesting. At first, she was looking for recent researches about magic. There was a curious study about the effects of changing the horn’s shape in unicorn's magic powers. Suddenly, moving across different sites, she found something completely unexpected in one of the ads.

“Canterlot Legends? What is that?” Luna said to herself surprised when she found that screen with several shiny colors and a detailed description. “Create your own powerful pony and fight with your team against other players in tremendous battles. Completely free!” She read. Luna had heard about this too. Apparently, there was also some kind of games in this MagicNet. Like those arcade machines where you could beat your own score in silly games like jumping across lateral maps or eating small balls in a maze. In other circumstances, the princess of the night would be probably not even close to being interested in this foals' stuff. But the boredom was at an extreme level, there were still three hours before the sunrise, and she had to do something.

“Okay, let’s try out this thing.” She said to herself. Clicking on the start button quickly brought her to another screen where she could create her own pony character. Apparently, she was able to choose the whole appearance of the virtual creature. She wasn’t too creative and simply created a pony as close as possible to herself. Once that the character was completely customized, she was able to choose a class.

“Attack, defense, balanced, tank, health…” Princess Luna said as she tried to find the logic behind those words. She simply chose randomly the defense class and started to play. Her character appeared in the middle of a virtual battlefield and she had to move it and apparently attack other players tapping on them. Even if the game mechanics looked too simple, the screen was somehow full of numbers, bars, statistics and buttons to press. The princess though decided to ignore them and just continued attacking other players.

The low skill level of the newbie princess simply ended in an easy victory for the rival team. With the defeat letters on the screen, Princess Luna felt disappointed by the game, she was about to leave it. But before she could realize, another match loaded, and suddenly she defeated one character and another… And another one more. After five minutes, her team won the match, and before she could even realize that again… She was in another match… That night, without a doubt, the hours passed faster than ever.

My Little Dungeon AU pony magic explained

The three types of pony magic; unicorn, earth pony and pegasi are fundamentally the same, the only difference is how it's cast.

All pony magic comes from something known as candy dust. It's a subclass of mana, which comes from the breaches between the physical and the magical world. Ponies themselves are creatures originally from the magic world that migrated to the physical world so long ago nobody remembers how or why it happened. Candy dust is an especially potent type of mana that can only be safely used by magic world natives. Some ponies are also able to make limited contact with other creatures from their native dimension, enhancing their magic further.

Unicorn magic: Name of Control

Unicorns use raw star dust without any aid from spirits by cultivating their pure magic roots. It takes an iron will and a strong character with maybe a bit of narcissism to become a powerful caster as a unicorn. It is very dangerous to create new spells, one wrong step may result in a disaster. Majority of unicorns learn their magic through experience of others as to avoid dealing with the risks of candy dust blowing up in their face.

Twilight is a bit of a nutjob when it comes to magic so after she learned every spell she was interested in from the books, she disregarded all warnings and started creating her own spells. She did succeed, creating numerous new, powerful spells and earning herself the title of a warrior princess, but she did pay the price. The unsuccessful attempts left permanent scars, most noticeable being the star mark on her face and the wing-like mark on her back.

Rarity also uses Control, though in a significantly different way from unicorns. She uses the vibration of impact instead of raw will to manipulate candy dust, mainly by tapping her hoof in certain rhythmic patterns. It becomes much stronger when done in water.

Earth pony magic: Name of Cooperation

Cooperation is arguably the most versatile out of the three types. Unlike Control and Cohabitation that have very strict limits put on them unless you're fucking unhinged and are willing to risk your life, Cooperation is only limited by how much work you are willing to put into mastering it. Name of Cooperation is all about working together. It is usually cast through song, the more powerful spells requiring a chorus of sometimes dozens of ponies.

It takes a pony to be completely in tune with nature, their peers and the world at large, as well as deep compassion for others and high empathy to become a great mage as an earth pony. Having a good ear for music also helps, but chanting is just as effective as singing for most spells.

It is also quite common for earth ponies to work with creatures from the magic world. It's quite rare, but some families, including the Apple family, have guardian spirits they believe to be their ancestors. They hold yearly festivals to honor the spirits with song for the magic and food for the friends. It's unclear if there is any real correlation or not, but ponies from families that honor their spirits tend to be more powerful mages than their peers.

Pegasi magic: Name of Cohabitation

Pegasi are able to concenrate large amounts of candy dust within their bodies, which makes them quite close in nature to a pure magic creature which gives them the ability of flight, to walk on water and clouds as well as almost effortless control over some phenomena. Pegasi essentially are part spirits because of this. It takes a relaxed, open-minded, and free individual to become a truly powerful pegasi. Because of their more closely aligned nature, pegasi are able to sense spirits more clearly. All ponies have some sort of feel for spirits, but it's more of that they'll feel off if there aren't any spirits around, while pegasi can sense them as if they were present on the same physical plain as ponies, they are even able to tell what type of spirit and how strong it is. Some can communicate with the spirits and even make deals and contracts, further enhancing their magic potential.

Fluttershy is a great example of a pegasi that made a deal with a spirit. She, much like most of her family for many generations had made a pact with a powerful wolf-like spirit from the everfree forest. It increased her every physical characteristic and gave her strong healing magic, but the wolf spirit's power also permanently changed her appearance and made her a carnivore.

Her younger brother Zephyr also has a pact with a wolf, though instead of healing magic he had received clairvoyance, and her older brother Angel had made a pact with a killer rabbit, which is a strange choice for an animal sprit in the Shy werewolf family but it seems to be working out for him just fine.

Chaos magic

A rare form of magic, also called Name of Null, it uses very potent and unstable mana that comes from the world above the equestrian dungeon. It is largely absent below the middle point of the sky dome and peaks of the northern mountains, but ponies that once used this potent mana seem to never be able to get rid of it even if they go far away from the source. It gets stuck in their hair, in their fur and even in their mind like a whole lot of invisible magic glitter.

It's difficult to classify the way chaos magic is cast into specific types, however it can be similar to a combination of some aspects from multiple Names ponies use.

Pinkie pie concentrates a lot of Null mana which gives her the supernatural senses she is known for, and uses strange verbal magic practiced only by the witches of the Pie family.

Rainbow Dash accumulates mana just like any pegasus would, but because of the limited exposure to Null mana, some of it got mixed into her candy dust. While it's not a lot, taking up less than 20% of her total mana she is able to use it very effectively by controlling the chaos magic the same way a unicorn would. This allows her to do tricks physically impossible for a regular pegasus!

Discord, on the other hand, is a unique case. He has never used any of the Names ponies use, so he developed a unique style of chaos magic. Anything he thinks of could just, conjure itself into reality at any moment. He has no control over what comes to be and what doesn't, the only thing he seems to have any control over is the colors and patterns of his body. Though, many changes seem to be involuntary and dependant on his emotions. His mother says he should make a pact with a greater spirit to gain control over his power, but he adamantly refuses to do so as spirits scare him and he doesn't want them to touch him.

Halftime Adjustments

Warnings- 18+ Smut

The buzzer sounded alerting the end of the first half. Hawkeyes were down 19 to an unranked non conference team. CC had gone 1 for 8 in the second quarter and missed 3 free throws in a row. To make matters even worse she was yelling at the refs and barely passing to any open players except for Stuelke who was having her own nightmare defensive matchup. 

Kate had to talk her teammates down 3 times already and try to keep Caitlin from launching her water bottle at the coaching staff during a timeout near the end of the first quarter. 

The whole team was having an off game but 22’s antics were wearing everybody's nerves thin. Monika did all she could to keep the players on the court focused and let Kate try to work her usual magic with their star point guard but there was only so much she could really say or do in a public setting and stage. 

Kate gripped Caitlin's wrist as they jogged back to the guest locker room, the latter trying to tug away but only felt the hold become tighter. 

“Let fucking go of me!" Caitlin hissed out. 

When the hold didn't drop she ripped her arm away only to have her whole body directed into one of the offices in the back with the blinds pulled tight on both the window and door.  

" What the fuck are you doing right now, Kate?!” 

Kate’s face remained neutral until the door shut, her eyes blazed and narrowed, brows pinched together with heavy annoyance. She had Caitlin pressed face down over the old metal desk, legs kicked apart, ass a little higher in the air than expected. She had roughly 20 lbs on her but once Caitlin was in rage mode her strength really knew no limits. The movements were happening so fast Kate had taken her teammate off guard, allowing her to grab a hold of her shorts and sport briefs and rip them as far down as they'd go.

" You wanna throw tantrums on the court and yell in people's faces huh? Boss everyone around and act like you're in control hmmm?" Kate plunged two fingers deep inside Caitlin��s surprisingly wet center as she growled in her ear. The office wasn't that far away from where the rest of the team was and she knew she had maybe 3 to 4 more minutes before the coach would be expecting them to be sat with everyone. 

Caitlin was trying to pull her shorts back up and knock Kate back when her arm was trapped behind her forcing her back down face first. The force with which Kate pumped into her had her confused at first and then aroused which led to her stopping fighting it. She was drenched from sweat and now her own slick coating her inner thighs and Kate's hand.

Kate pulled out, wrapped her arm around the girl beneath her and went to work on her clit, rubbing tight fast circles. It took barely a  minute and she had her shaking and whimpering and blinking back the white spots from her vision. She fisted her ponytail, yanking her head back far enough so she could look her in the eye while demanding entrance into her mouth with her cum soaked fingers. 

Caitlin cleaned them as much as she could while trying to catch her breath and process what exactly had happened and how quickly. They enjoyed the occasional quickie here and there but never in the middle of a game and never like this.

Caitlin nodded while still remaining slumped across the desk, she was just regaining control of her breathing.  

Barely a minute later Caitlin sat down at her locker, jersey tucked back into her shorts and hair fixed, with no signs of it having been pulled from its normal pony. She mumbled a soft sorry to the group without making eye contact with anyone.

The team went on to win the game with a late 3rd quarter push, 22 leading the way with 21 2nd half points and 7 assists, 4 to her teammate, captain, and girlfriend.

Elements of Disharmony - Twilight Sparkle

Introducing, my version of the Elements of Disharmony, and introducing the first victim of the AU, Twilight Sparkle.

Heyyy infodump time

Twilight sparkle was born with high praise and expectations on her, especially with Shining Armour as her older brother and THE Princess Cadance, princess of love, as her foalsitter.

These expectations only grew as well when the ponies around her started to see her own talent for magic, learning spells much quicker than her peers, and casting simple spells such as levitation spells at an adult's level.

She was so good at casting spells that her parents applied for her to study at the academy for gifted unicorns, where she was to perform the test of cracking a dragon's egg. After many attempts, she felt that she was going to have to give up, as she was unable to even put a small crack in the egg. However, just as she had accepted her defeat, a loud bang and bright multicoloured lights overwhelmed the room, and, in her shock, something in her body unlocked, and her horn let out a bright light and her body was overwhelmed with a power she had never felt before, and a power that she couldn't control. Before she knew it, her parents and the assessors were shifting into different objects, regressing in age and losing control of the gravity around them. The only being who could protect herself from Twilight's power, and therefore calm her, was the Princess, who was alerted to a problem when she saw the large head of a purple dragon break through the roof of a Canterlot building.

When Twilight was calmed, and Celestia reverted all the changes Twilight made to the ponies around her, she promised to teach Twilight how to control her powers, along with congratulating her for her skills, and notifying her of her cutie mark. An 8 pointed star, and the symbol of her talent of magic. Twilight was ecstatic, and couldn't sleep for many nights out of excitement.

However, as the years went on, Twilight's excitement slowly turned into hopelessness, as many, if not all of her lessons with Celestia to control her magic was fruitless. She couldn't even perform simple levitation spells without risk of losing control. Sometimes her spells would misfire, striking to the right or left somehow, or they'd be a completely different, random spell. Or, in rarer cases, her horn would let out more magic than she intended, which will risk breaking the object she's trying to lift, or a magic meltdown, which causes mass destruction in whatever room she's in.

Celestia could not help her. And she was juggling enough issues as it was, with her sister banished to the moon for the next thousand years after she attempted to return, raising both the sun and the moon on her own, protecting and ruling Equestria, helping Cadance and the Crystal Empire, and so much more that meant she was less and less able to help Twilight. So, one day, she made the extremely difficult decision to strip Twilight of her magic, as it was her magic that was damaging both herself and everything around her, along with every nearby pony.

However, Starswirl the Bearded, during his time before his disappearance, was never capable of finding an artifact or spell capable of absorbing some of Twilight's magic, which left Celestia no other choice than to confront a centaur in Tartarus, Tirek, who was locked away for attempting to steal the magic from Equestria. On top of allowing him to absorb her magic, with Twilight also consenting to this, she heightened security for Tirek, giving him enchanted restraints and enchanting his cage, so that they would never lose their magic, and would neve break, so, if Tirek was to ever absorb the magic from his restraints and cage and grow, they would never break, so he would have to either return the magic and give up, or suffocate from his own body squeezing against himself.

After Twilight lost her magic, and therefore her ability to cast spells, and her cutie mark, which reminded her of what made her Twilight, she felt like she was missing a large part of herself, as if she was almost just a shell of what she once was. She felt colder, more exhausted, weaker, and much more apathetic to the world around her. On top of that, she felt a strong pull from her magic, as if it was trying desperately to return to her.

After months of trying to recover and resist these feelings, she couldn't handle it anymore, and she travelled to Tartarus, to meet with the centaur, who promised to not only return her magic, but to also teach her how to use it, telling her that Celestia was lying to her about her being unteachable. And that his only condition for her magic was his freedom, and for her to take him to Celestia.

In any other situation, Twilight would have refused. However, the pull of her magic was too overwhelming, and her growing desperation allowed her to believe the lies of Tirek. And, as such, she agreed. Tirek gave her a portion of her magic, but claimed that he gave it all to her, and gave her simple advice of how to control herself and her spells, finding her resentment growing for Celestia, as, for years, she was believed to be uncontrollable, only for her 'best teacher' to be a centaur. As she found herself performing various spells in her excitement, Tirek fed her more and more lies about Celestia and her 'jealousy' for Twilight's potential, which served to make her hate Celestia more and more. And, as part of her deal, and as part of her gratitude to Tirek, she released him from his cage, and guided him to Canterlot, allowing him to drain the magic of other ponies as they travelled. All while maintaining some control of Tirek to protect herself from ever losing her magic again.

And that was the day the princess of the sun and Equestria lost her magic.

I really like Kira Nerys. Let's discuss her and organized religion A hothead, experienced freedom fighter, child soldier, passionate, kind, really good at self-control. In [DS9 S01E19: Duet], she learns that life can be complex and difficult and ultimately learns to forgive Marritza. She learns that hate has to end at some point to make peace. But there is one aspect of Kira that I always find unnerving: Her absolute blind spot when it comes to faith. And DS9's handling of organized religion. 01. Bajoran Culture and Cultures in Star Trek Because Kira is the Bajoran character we see most, and the only fleshed out character where "being Bajoran" is a major character trait, we mostly experience the culture through her. Yes there's Leeta, but there is just a single instance where it plays into the story that she's Bajoran. [DS9 S05E20: Ferengi Love Songs]. Leeta wants a Bajoran wedding, while Rom tries to hold onto what's left of his Ferengi identity. Rom ultimately lets go of all the Ferengi stuff. Good for him. Of course there is also Kai Winn, but her stories mostly circle about her being Kai Winn, not her being a Bajoran. There is a single instance here too, where her Bajoran identity plays into the story, and her past during the Occupation. ([DS9: S05E10 Rapture]) She explains that she teached the faith of the prophets and was imprisoned for it. The other Bajoran characters are less fleshed out characters. Shakaar, Lupaza, and Furel. Even Li Nalasm remember him? Ro Laren is there of course, but her job was to create conflict in the perfect world of the Enterprise-D. Not being Bajoran, primarily. Star Trek does this more than once. Experiencing a whole culture through a single character. For a long time, Spock was the only fleshed out Vulcan we got to see, besides one episode with Sarek. Plus Sarek in the movies. It took decades until Tuvok showed us more than Spock's perspective. And ENT with T'Pol and the Vulcans arc finally fleshed out the species more. Jadzia is the only Trill that matters. Kind of a one trick pony species. The people with the symbiotes. And when Ezri finally shows up, we learn a bit more about them when they're not centered about their symbiotes. Cardassia is a good counter-example: We have Dukat, Damar and Garak to show us Cardassian culture from various perspectives. Plus the Tribunal episode, TNG's torture of Picard ("There are four lights!") We learn a lot about Cardassia. The DS9 treatment of the Ferengi will always be top notch.

02. Kira and Religion So back to Bajor, Kira and religion. Hehe, Bajor Kira. Sorry. As a non-religious man, I have my problems sharing her point of view. Trusting in faith, even when it contradicts rationality. There are two main storylines that illuminate this problem: 1. [DS9: S04E17 Accession] 2. Kira's relationship with Kai Winn. In Accession, Akorem Laan takes over the job as Emissary and installs himself as a conservative, even reactionary, religious leader. Bajorans are told to follow their d'jarras. A caste system. And Kira as our PoV Bajoran, simply....does it. Her D'jarra is Ih'valla, the artists caste. She actually had to struggle with this before. In [DS9: S02E02 The Circle] she tried living in the monastery with Bareil. She tells him she sucks at being an artist. Kira really tried. So when Akorem takes over the religious leadership (maintaining a good working relationship with Kai Winn, what a red flag), Kira shows us how Bajor reacts. They simply.....comply? Odo even tries out the sceptical, rational PoV. Kira just brushes it aside. DS9 does this a few times, actually. Respecting their characters' choices rooted in faith. Odo fighting Weyoun calling him a god on every occasion. Worf and Kira agreeing on Sisko's choice of trusting the Prophets in [DS9: S05E10: Rapture]. Weyoun 6's sacrifice. Even Quark's little prayers to his piggybank. What I really dislike about the plot of Accession is the Deus Ex Machina. The characters are not confronted with their choices. Akorem Laan and Vedek Porta don't go to jail for murdering some guy. Kira doesn't have to deal with supporting a regime that got opressive in a heartbeat. What I would have really liked to see were the Bajorans that disagree. The ones Akorem threatens with deportation. Sorry, our 45 minutes are up, the Prophets endorse The Sisko, Akorem is gone. Kira even still likes his poetry! Yay! Pity. I would have loved to see the consequences. And see if Kira finds a way to deal with blind obedience. Which brings me to my second point. 03. Kira Nerys and Kai Winn

While Gul Dukat is mainly Sisko's antagonist, Kai Winn is Kira's. She basically killed Kira's boyfriend, cashed in on his accomplishments and literally stole his fame, after she cheated her way to becoming Space Pope. Which would have been him. Bareil. Interesting side story: Bareil does the same thing Kira does. He blindly trusts the religious system. Bareil doesn't question Kai Winn's authority. Well, then she kills him by overworking him, and he lets her. Gladly. He decides to get killed. Because he trusts the Prophets. There's another side question here. Are the Prophets to be trusted? Are they doing good things for Bajor? or are they selfish? I basically think they're selfish af, and I can explain. But that's a story for another time.

So Kai Winn did a terrorism in [S01E20: In the Hands of the Prophets], gets people killed, supports an insurrection (but to be honest, her support never got public), cheats herself to be Pope, nearly starts a civil war because of Shakaar. Kira is in a powerful position. She is one of the most trusted advisors to the Emissary of the Prophets, is an administrator of DS9, was a member of the famed Shakaar Resistance Cell. She obviously has power. Military power, political power. She knows how to play politics. There is a dialogue about this in [DS9 S01E13: "Battle Lines] And she obviously knows Kai Winn is horrible. Dangerous. When does she talk back? Once. She does it once. In [DS9 S02E24: The Collaborateur], she is snarky and gets scolded by Winn. She never openly defies her again. Kira is complicit with a religious organisation that constantly punishes her for it. That would force her into a career she hates. That killed her boyfriend and robbed his dead body. Kai Winn even gloats over it a few episodes later. And in Accession, we see the climax of this: Even when the religious regime gets captured by bad people, she complies. 04: Fazit I would have loved to see Kira deal with the contradictions. See people who don't comply with Kai Winn's church. Who challenge that system. Because like in our world, organisations can and will be captured by bad players, in bad faith. The ability of political structures to withstand capture and abuse is essential. This always starts with the people being able to recognize it and fight back. I don't like it. I'm more like Odo. Rational, naturalistic. I don't understand how one can think with religious faith. Especially because Kira has such a temper and a sense for injustice. She challenges Winn from within the system, yes. With Shakaar. For a while. Then Shakaar loses steam as a character and we don't delve further into the matter. Simply DS9 having enough depth to allow such discussions about their characters is one if the reasons I love it so much. Stay safe out there, people. Stay vigilant in the face of powerful people. an undiagnosed bipolar imo. he has random outbursts like kobra, but theyre more violent and random. hes also shit at trying to control his emotions unless hes around the girl. shes the only thing actually keeping him sane in the zones

once had a fight about poison about who gets to drive the trans am and accidentally broke one of poisons ribs. all is well though, poison thought it was hilarious. but jet is now really the only one who drives the trans am and throws a fit if one of the other four drives it

cannot stand the fucking power pups. he will not eat them. jet would rather starve than eat those things. the rest of the four call him crazy about it though

totally has a thing for show pony but will never admit it to any of the four. ghoul always teases him about it. show pony actually knows and teases jet about it a lot, but they think its adorable and actually like jet back

It was a warm, sunny evening in the east side of Tulsa. It was after dinner, and Babygirl was riding her bike. She needed to clear her head, her train of thought was all messed up. Being the only girl in a boy filled household, was exhausting. She didn’t really feel like she belonged, only with Ace.

Babygirl had rode around the block a couple of times, the sun lowering down as the stars slowly began to appear. She became distracted and fascinated by this sight, that she failed to see the uneven sidewalk that came with a bunch of little sharp rocks. She rode over the sidewalk, which threw off her balance and caused her to fall of the bike. Her knee landed against the shark rocks, causing tears to brim her eyes.

The pain was unbearable, stinging and burning. She had also scraped her elbow, which allowed a small line of blood to trickle down her arm. Tears continued to brim her eyes, blurring her vision. The 6 year old felt she had no choice but to call out for her brother (s).

“S-soda!” She yelled with a shaky voice, a few tears slipping down her cheeks. Thankfully, the house was 2 houses down from where Babygirl was, so it only took one call for all three of her brothers to come out. Soda saw her, immediately running towards her, Ponyboy and Darry right on his tail.

He kneeled down next to the girl, a concerned look on his face.

“Baby-babygirl what happened?” Soda asked, the tone in his voice making the tears fall faster onto Babygirl’s cheeks.

“I-I fell off of-of my bike” The girl said shakily, trying to control her breathing while wiping her tears. Soda placed one of his arms under her knees, placing the other on her back as he slowly lifted her up.

Ponyboy watched, his eyes wide and full of pure sadness as Darry grabbed Babygirl’s bike, hauling it over to small shed they had while the other three walked back into the house.

Soda quickly made it inside, placing Babygirl on the couch while Ponyboy kneeled down next to her, holding her hand. Ponyboy and Babygirl were close, as close as siblings could get. Ever since Babygirl was born, a connection formed between the two. A few tears slipped down his face, which most people would find weird if they didn't know their history.

"Shhh, its okay baby, your okay." Ponyboy said, tears streaming down his face. It was like he was reassuring himself more than you.

The door slammed, causing the 7 and 6 year old to look up. In came Darry, alongside a 14 year old Dallas Winston. His expression was confused, yet concerned.

"Babygirl, you okay?" Dally asked, kneeling down beside Ponyboy, placing a hand on Babygirl's shoulder, while also rubbing Ponyboy's back.

"I-i fell and I scraped my knee a-and my elbow." the 6 year old mumbled out, tears running down her face as Darrel helped Sodapop look for the first aid kit. Dallas then looked at Ponyboy, confused as ever.

"Pony- why are you cryin?" He asked.

"Cause she's crying" Dallas gave the younger boy a deadpanned look.

"Man up Ponyboy, you're scaring her." Dallas said, causing Ponyboy to nod his head and try to stop crying. Sodapop and Darrel quickly came over, first aid kit in hand. They cleaned up her scrapes, before bandaging them and sitting the girl up. Sodapop sat on the couch beside her, pulling the younger girl onto his lap. He moved the small hairs out of her face, his gentle touch calming her down.

"Shhh, it's okay honey, you're okay."

Fluttershy seeing Starlight feeling bad/upset about something and as a kindness taking charge of certain jobs they have to do. And it just spirals out of control, Fluttershy becoming the controlling one. Perhaps Fluttershy took some subconscious notes from her good friend Discord, and the old lessons she had from iron will coming back to the front of her mind. i imagine it takes a few months for their roles to start swapping. it’s a gradual thing, with, like you said, fluttershy slowly taking on more and more of the roles starlight had.

it actually took a couple more weeks from fluttershy’s ‘turning’ for the other mane 5 to escape from starlight’s village. i haven’t quite decided how they escape just yet or even if starlight’s cutie mark secret is revealed.

see, starlight’s secret almost has to be revealed for her ponies to turn against her, but that could also possibly turn fluttershy against her. just something for me to think on. i should rewatch the eps… hmm
