=> National Park Poloniny, Tura, jesenný výstup z Novej Sedlice na NPR (national natural Reservation)Jarabá Skala. But many call it Riaba, Ryaba or Rabia Rock. It is situated on the Slovak-Polish borderland and is a relatively popular locality among tourists.

=> The magnificent Jarabá Rock is considered one of the most beautiful lookout points of this location. However, it can owe its remarkable altitude as well as the installed metal viewing platform. From here you will get an incredibly beautiful panoramic view of the beech forests, the Great Bukovec massif or other natural beauties on the Polish side.

=> Jarabá Rock is characterized by steep rocky slopes, walls, but also primeval beech forests and beech-maple woods, which are listed in the UNESCO list. There are also a number of rare species of flora that give the wild Jarabá Rock a vivid variety.

=> Jarabá Rock is the third highest peak of the Bukov Hills on the Slovak side of the territory - (the highest is Kremenec).

Explanation: This is a good week to see meteors. Comet dust will rain down on planet Earth, streaking through dark skies during peak nights of the annual Perseid Meteor Shower. The featured composite image was taken during the 2018 Perseids from the Poloniny Dark Sky Park in Slovakia. The dome of the observatory in the foreground is on the grounds of Kolonica Observatory. Although the comet dust particles travel parallel to each other, the resulting shower meteors clearly seem to radiate from a single point on the sky in the eponymous constellation Perseus. The radiant effect is due to perspective, as the parallel tracks appear to converge at a distance, like train tracks. The Perseid Meteor Shower is expected to reach its highest peak on Saturday after midnight. Since a crescent Moon will rise only very late that night, cloudless skies will be darker than usual, making a high number of faint meteors potentially visible this year.

=> Part 1.

=> navštívena obec Runina: 3 Studničky, Kalvária, Runinsky vodopád, židovský cintorín

=> Tri studničky: Nad obcou Runina v Sninskom okrese sa nachádza pútnické miesto Tri studničky. Malému deväťročnému chlapcovi Jurajovi Regulovi sa tam mala v roku 1927 pri pasení kráv zjaviť Panna Mária. Nikto mu však nechcel veriť až na gréckokatolíckeho učiteľa Popoviča. Ten spolu so svojimi žiakmi začal cestu k Trom studničkám udržiavať. Voda v nich má mať liečivé účinky. Do začiatku druhej svetovej vojny si ju chodievali naberať ľudia z okolitých dedín. Na zázračné miesto sa však na dlhé roky zabudlo. Zašlú slávu mu prinavrátil v roku 1991 pravoslávny kňaz Mikuláš Rusič. Najskôr sa tam vybudovali drevené, neskôr kamenné konštrukcie. V areáli postavili v roku 2012 kaplnku, o niečo neskôr aj zvonicu).

=> Runinský vodopád: Pri vstupe do najvyššie položenej obce v Národnom parku Poloniny v okrese Snina môžu turisti pozorovať runinský flyšový vodopád, ktorý sa nachádza v blízkosti židovského cintorína. Výškovo je na úrovni približne piatich metrov. Zaujímavý je tým, že v tomto území je jediný svojho druhu a vlieva sa doň voda z pútnického miesta nad dedinou Tri studničky).
