hey uh dread, who are the crayon monster people from HatchetVerse (lords in black i think?) ? U keep rebloging stuff abt them and now im curious.

LONG POST AHEAD!!

So, the lords in black are a family of eldritch beings from the HachetVerse (as you correctly said). They are made up of a group of 5 brothers. While you can also include they’re sister, she is her own separated thing

Each lord in black are associated with a particular “theme” and each have their own dolls. They are from a realm outside of all dimensions (or timelines) known as the Black and White. They can be summoned or you can use their powers through a spell book known as “The Black Book” (Ik so creative)

Wiggly, or W’gog Y’Wrath is their leader; “The lord in black”. He has his own musical in the trilogy, with him being the main antagonist of Black Friday. He’s associated a lot with squids and octopuses with his whole tentacle motif. His powers mainly include driving people mad and space manipulation. He represents capitalism and wrath.

Pokey, or Poketho, “the one singular voice”. He’s the most … “unkempt” one. In the words of his sister “He hates every voice that isn’t his own”. He’s the first LiB we meet in the first musical of the trilogy, The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals. Unlike Wiggly, he can out right take over people’s minds and he LOVES musicals! Although he’s very pretentious and petty. He’s supposed to represent envy and vanity I’m pretty sure.

Next is Tinky or T’Noy Karaxis! “The bastard of time and space”. While he has no musical, he does make his appearance in NPMD (where all of them show up). But he mainly shows up in Nightmare time, a side series of the Hatchetfeild trilogy. His title is pretty self explanatory, he can manipulate time and space. He’s the most sadistic of them all and like to torture one guy in particular for all of eternity.

Then we have Blinkey or Blinklotep. “The watcher with a thousand eyes”. Like Tinky he’s mainly in Nightmare time and shows up in NPMD. However there is a line in a COMPLETELY separate OTHER starkid show called trail to Oregon where a character refers to the audience as “the watchers with a thousand eyes” but WE DON’T HAVE TIME TO GET INTO THAT! He also drives people mad :) He’s just a little guy who like to look :)

Finally we have my personal favorite, Nibbly! Or Nibblenephim! “The insatiable”. He’s the super gender one that’s walk-in round she/her but is still him. Femme he/him swag!! He like to EAT. He CONSUMES. He’s uhm… he represents uhm… vore. Same situation as Blinky and Tinky with his appearances.

Then we have Webby! “The queen in white”. We have no idea what her doll looks like or her true name. She is limited to a mention in Black Friday and all her content is in Nightmare time. She is associated with a lot of spider imagery (Ik very similar to Wiggly and his octopuses with a strange, 8 legged creature). She is however, LUCKILY NOT EVIL! She has a strained relationship with her brothers but they are her or at least were mentors. Wiggly HATES her for some reason. She’s also a massive dork lmao. Here she is!!

I could rant all day about my theories yeah that’s the basic basics

followup to this post, i made pokey! i dont like how this one turned out as much... i wanted to make the cracks in the mask smaller but i couldnt change the size of the tool lol. Maybe ill do a V2 at some point. made with wigglypaint.

Hey Melissa timeline, Paul fully "domesticated by her not even showing a hint of his orignal personality when Melissa finds this odd..cracked mask in Pauls house and decides it would be a good halloween costume for her pet:

It'd been years since Melissa had "Adopted Paul" And hed grown into a rather good pet, All orignal aspects of defiance and anything slightly human (Including his job) has been quashed just turning him into a simple obedient cat. it was honestly the best pet Melissa had ever had, so wanted to try celebrate this and dress it up for the halloween in a lovely cute yet creepy outfit, and after rummaging through pauls old belongings in she found the perfect thing.

A cracked mask with an odd blue goop seeping into the cracks giving it almost otherwordly feel, ornate holes had been primordally carved out for the eyes and mouth, with the same blue goop residue around them. It seemed pratically made for Melissas cause, though she was a little unsure why her cat owned this to begin with she assumed it was merely a gift or craft of some sort and trialed it on her favourite pet.

It fit perfectly and it looked great, Melissa couldnt help but awwww over the sight it was just almost too cute to handle but...her cat...Paul..didnt respond like hed usually did and relish in her attetion instead he looked around the surroundings in almost confusion, a large smile quickly taking over his face and thenn he finally looked at her and in an..oddly sing song voice like he was talking in a kids show:

🎵 Darling, what in Pokethos name are you awwing at...did you let some sort of cretin in my home!!!??? God..the only good thing about those mangyyy cats was that musical about them...Not the moviee though GOD THE MOVIE, darl I can tell you soooooo much about that fucking movie 🎵

What??? Melissa was gobsmacked what in hell happened to her baby, her cat??....Not even Paul when he was undomesticated was he like this...She knew everything about his life..and at the very top of that list was that he didn't like musicals...she took a breath...maybe...this is a joke ...maybe hes just confused decided to gently remind Paul that.

No No Your A CAT, CATS dont watch movies, CATS dont like musicals, And CATS are amazing, DONT YOU DARE CALL YOUR OWN KIND MANGY!!

He drags himself on two legs to stare at Melissa, with what was obviously a widee smile under that cracked mask he now flamboiantly adorned. Melissa backed away, what the hell happened to Paul? This wasnt her pet, ths cat that had saved her from her capteurs this was...a stranger wearing her innocent cats fur...and she should deal with it as such.

Dont worry my little kitty everything will be fineee soon, just hang in there okay kitty?

She mumured as she goes to strike this stranger with her taser, he doesnt even try to dodge, he just stands there with a wide smile watching this situation play out like he was merely watching a play, letting the taser zap him. Though instead of buckling to the floor he just continues standing there letting out a slight laugh.

🎵Heyy that felttt prettyyy gooddd..God almostt forgett how greattt it is to haveee a body!!! ...huhh talkingg about bodyyy...doesnt that guyy...Paulll usually stop mee by now...or intterupt me at leasttt..."Stopping me" is like...stopping a raginggg river by meagrely building a dam..its inveitable ill break throughh againnn and againn and againnn...🎵

he laughs again, that laugh...and what the hell he was saying was making Melissas head hurt...this thing...didnt even seem like an animal...it seemed beyond that and it didnt even try to hide it.

He looks at a mirror on the wall, staring at almost perplexed as if seeing something odd within it, slowly the shock turns to even more joy and he laughs once more, the viscous sweetness of the laugh building even further on Melissas throat making her gag, as Pauls eeirly light blue eyes stare into her.

🎵Waitt..waittt waittt waitttt, my dearr...did...you do this??...pacifiyyy my other half...so...that means...THIS MEANS!!🎵

His smile turns even wider, impossibly wider, like he's twisting his own anatomy justtt to smile this wide, he then gives off a triumph ear melting laugh which only makes the pain in Melissas head and the sensastion on her throat even worse, she feels close to fainting , the unervingly sweet viscous taste seems to be spreading into her head, coating every sense of her body.

she was desperate, and in her desperation she striked at the stranger...hoping to at least throw them off enough to escape, or even bring her kitty back but shed lost hope that shed ever get him back when she saw that look in their eyes, a look of impossible glee, a look of a monster whod just been released, with that smile, a smile that no thing made of only flesh and blood could recreate, a smile that stayed. Even when she brought a knife into their skin, that smile stayed, even when a blue viscous goo leaked from the wound, the smile stayed, even when she felt her senses being washed out under that sickening sweet sensation, the smile stayed.

And in her last seconds of consciousness, the smile spat out the last words she heard in that inhumanely charaismatic tone.

And Melissa faded to blue with the knowledge of whatever creature she had unleashed upon Hatchetfield.
