What inspired you to make your Mewtwo stories for your blog?

After watching the Detective Pikachu movie, it got me back into pokemon. I wanted to start a blog it back in 2019 not long after it came out, but it wasn't until 2020 when I got it started. Some people were hating on live action Mewtwo, and I couldn't let that stand. I was determined to get people to like him XD

honestly i dont want my gijinka design for him to be a full-on human or at least a humanoid with slimey features (i can imagine stuff happening in my brain and imagining him being human with these features—especially when it comes to modifying abilities such as enlargening—may come off as weird) so i took a logical route by making him less of a human and ended him up look like a pokemon/digimon lol (my gijinka goos height is around the same size as a chair)

what do you mean 2024 is ending 🤣🤣🤣 2014 is almost ending today get over it

but seriously i didnt expect to get into another hyperfixation after i stopped watched smg4 due to glitch prod still not apologized to celeste yet + lack of interest and visiting an old favorite from 2017-early 2020 (inazuma eleven). thats how i got into the osc hellhole. i already knew the existence of it since 2019 through bfdi (specifically bfb; my very first osc episode ive watched is bfb episode 15) but never got into the fandom because i am more of an "i got into [insert animated tv show here] because our local tv station aired it in my native language" fan at that time.

speaking of object shows, inanimate insanity became my number 1 favorite object show. i watched the entirety of it to get caught up before s2e15, but before that i watched them through no context clips, and suddenly i grew attached to it. maybe because i found out that it progressively gets darker than bfdi (thank you yugioh gx/arc v and smg4 for making me a lore angst lover lol). i still dont have the desire to watch the entirety of bfdi though.

i have mixed feelings about the ii movie, especially the last act, but overall its good. i didnt expect the plot twist here, and the deaths of mepad and knife is not what i expected and at the same time… its unneccesary. the last act focuses a bit too much on shipping (payjay is fine though since it finally confirms it but my half side is iffy about it since it may cause problems for those who ships either oj or paper with others/dont like payjay) and BOX?? WHAT THE FUCK YOURE ALIVE??? AND YOU HAVE BOOBS????

joining the osc also increases the notes i got from my original posts than i expected. like what do you mean a post of a theory of melife ending its support got more notes than my "uke judai yuki" post. who even are you people.

i dont know if theres gonna be new hyperfixations next year, but who knows? will i lose interest in ii and ie next year? take a guess. since 2 people started watching ii because of me.

Fruits Basket 2019 - I vaguely know where I left off (but probably not. "The last thing I remember" always tends to be episodes before where I really left off). I probably have about a season and a half left of this? Maybe? I do really love Fruits Basket though, don't come for me.

Pokemon - YEARS ago, I watched Kanto -> Sinnoh including movies where they would chronologically go in the timeline. And then I hit Unova and dropped off. I truly believe it has something to do with Cilan. Iris is, like, fine. Like, definitely female traveling companions I like more, but Cilan is not Brock and never will be Brock. (Weirdly, I don't mind Clement tho - I've seen fair chunks of Kalos and Alola...). Anyway, for the purpose of this long long series, this poll option covers Season 14 (Black & White) of the anime and whatever films take place in that season chronologically.

Hello- I'm Summerlycoris. But I'm happy to go by Summerly, or Summer.

I had a page set up to be my about on desktop, but that doesnt seem to work well anymore (doesnt work at all on mobile?) And it's probably extremely outdated. So I've decided to remake it for a pinned post.

Anyway, I'm an aussie woman. I was born in '95. And according to this poll, I am statistically older than you lol.

Sometimes I draw things. Sometimes I write things. Mostly I've been drawing/writing fnaf stuff. I have an ao3 and DA- same username. Though i either post the stuff here too, or link to it here.

Games in the Tales Of Series (Tales of the Abyss is my all time fav- I also loved playing Tales of Xillia, Tales of Innocence, and Dawn Of The New World. Missed symphonia, because when I was big on tales games it was still only on gamecube orz.)

I don't watch a lot of movies, anime, or tv shows. I liked watching Bojack Horseman and She-Ra. And I have a lot of memories of the .hack series.

So I got curious about Thomas’ little claim and decided to research his little take on MLB being more popular than Pokémon.

Pokémon is by leaps and bounds the biggest media franchise worldwide, with not even the MCU beating it.

I think the problem I have with Astruc's claim is just how vague it is. We have no idea of how these surveys even worked, or if they even took into account stuff like kids knowing more about the Pokemon games than the anime, the fact that the last season of the Pokemon anime was Netflix-exclusive, while Miraculous Ladybug airs on TV and on streaming services, the age range of the kids surveyed, the region each kid lives in, what channels kids watch their shows on, what kind of streaming services their households have (remember, the last two seasons of Miraculous Ladybug have been on Disney+ while Pokemon is on Netflix), and just how many kids said they knew Miraculous Ladybug more than Pokemon.

For all we know, only half a dozen kids polled could have said they know more about Miraculous Ladybug than they do Pokemon, where the survey itself involved only twenty kids, yet Astruc thinks that means kids all around the world are more familiar with his work than they are with Pokemon.

yuuri on ice was the first anime i watched aside from like,, dubbed pokemon as a kid and one (1) ghibli movie my dad took me to see in theatres. it was also among the first queer-centered stories i experienced as a newly-out-yet-still-in-the-closet queer person.

it has always held a very special place in my heart. i watched it around 2019/2020 if memory serves me right. i didn't get to experience the episodes airing weekly, the fandom was in hibernation, but i had a movie to look forward to !

i was so fucking excited to get to be part of this fandom as new content was being released. that was 4-5 years ago now. the teaser trailer kept my hopes up ever since it dropped in 2021. despite the radio silence i didn't want to believe it would never come, but here we are. in the end i guess i get to be part of this fandom's reawakening, but in the worst way possible.

Games: This was a big year for Pokemon for me, I finished the Indigo Disk DLC for Scarlet as well as playing through Violet and its DLC and Shield to finally complete my Pokemon Home Dex so that was a big chunk of time but feels really good to get done.Finally went back and finished some games I either played a long time ago or started and never finished like Paper Mario 64 and Tears of the Kingdom, given the latter was relatively recent and caused me to have a bit of an emotional breakdown I won't dwell too much on that. Also got some quirky titles off my list like Pizza Tower and The Patrick Star Game which were kinda polar opposites in term of difficulty but both pretty fun timekillers for a bit, meanwhile I also finally got a Steam Deck and was able to play I am Bread which was a game I'd wanted to try out since back in the big youtuber days when everyone was playing it, can't say it quite lived up to the decade of hype I built up for it in my head but for what it was it was pretty fun. Finally played Banjo-Tooie for the first time after completing the first one on emulator in college and having the first game but never finishing it as a kid, gotta say that one was kinda REALLY frustrating in parts and feel like it wasn't meant to be 100%ed with how tedious some of the stuff is but it's good to check it off my list and experience everything at least once. And last but not least my two day journey with Slay the Princess is still pretty freshly documented on here and I enjoyed it quite a bit, may try for another route at some point but for now I kinda just want to let the experience digest and work on some other stuff for a bit.

Shows: A lot of things for the Custom Toonami Block that I'd started finally wrapped up this year, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Ranking of Kings, Yu Yu Hakusho, Zom 100 (even if I finished it just in time for regular Toonami to announce it), Spy X Family, Jujutsu Kaisen, Vinland Saga, the next part of Monogatari, Konosuba, Frieren, Delicious in Dungeon, The Witch from Mercury and Castlevania and of course I finally finished the Inuyasha rewatch several years in the making, capping off the longest running Custom Toonami show. Of these ones Jujutsu Kaisen and Vinland Saga really left a pretty great impression on me and of course I enjoyed Frieren and Marcille since I have them as visiting muses now. Also seeing the end of Yu Yu Hakusho for myself after all these years after dropping off somewhere late in the Chapter Black arc as a kid really was something even if the ending feels kinda cobbled together at points for real world reasons. Also caught up on some Star Wars series with the final season of The Bad Batch and the first and final season of The Acolyte, The Bad Batch is kinda middle of the road where I don't think it's anyone's favorite series but I don't hear anyone really hating on it either, it's pretty much just kinda whelming fun, The Acolyte... a lot of people have definitely said a lot of things about it and idk I feel like it could've been more interesting if they were allowed to go more balls to the wall with the gray morality instead of making the whole plot one big oopsie daisy. And lastly I did manage to catch the Ted's Caving Journal webseries which was a lot of fun as a big fan of the original story, some things are really hard to translate to screen with how a lot of it is just Ted sitting in the dark and thinking but I think the guys that did this did probably the best job with it that can be done and it was really cool to see it brought to life.

Movies:Didn't see a TON of movies this year, but I did go to the theater a couple times which isn't a guarantee every year so there are some thoughts. Started the year off with Ghostbusters Frozen Empire which was... fine, it's one of those movies I mostly watch with my family for movie night so my mom can gush about nostalgia, as a movie it was fine, we saw Afterlife when it came out and that was alright, think the new direction of the franchise is kinda awkward in places but wouldn't call it bad. Probably the strangest thing on my list this year I watched Night of the Hunter on Easter weekend based off a recommendation for underappreciated movies and for an old black and white movie it was pretty interesting, kinda anticlimactic how they kinda just shoot/arrest the guy in the end and most everything's fine for how fucked up the rest of the plot is but given the time period you can't go too hard on the ending. I swear I've seen Kiki's Delivery Service before but I never owned any of the Ghibli movies as a kid so I can't really remember how much attention I paid while watching it as a friend's house while we were playing and stuff so it was basically a fresh watch as I hung out one night and it was your standard Ghibli vibe fun and my favorite part was DiCaprio pointing at the screen when I heard the song from Suzume start playing when they're doing the road trip montage. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was another one that was mostly for a family movie night nostalgia bender but I enjoyed it well enough, it's really hard to do a distant sequel like that but they did a decent job of throwing around enough of the iconography while giving a fresh and funny plot. And then the results of my trip from last weekend being Wicked Part 1 and Sonic 3, both very different movies but I had a pretty good reaction to both, ironically when I pieced together Wicked based on the songs on yotube I always thought the end of the movie was how the musical ended, like the only song I know of they didn't use was No Good Deed so idk what the heck goes on with the second half but apparently they're gonna do a The Two Towers deal and mix in some of the next part into Part 2 to fill it out, who knows how that'll go, starting the Wicked Cinematic Universe here. Sonic 3 as I said a few days ago was big dumb fun, loved the references to SA2 and though the fakeouts with Sonic's character himself were kinda weak, the message basically gets beaten over your head in the first ten minutes, Sonic is not a subtle franchise and that's why we love it.

So yeah, lots of neat media this year, hoping to continue that trend next year and do some new movies, games, shows, and rps with everyone, thanks for hanging around!
