Episode 6 of Pokémon: Horizons has no right to get me in the feels as hard as it did. Holy heck. I’m not crying, you are.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

The whole scene where Roy caught Fuecoco had me grinning from ear to ear and trying sooo hard to not cry.

I love seeing the interactions between the Rising Volt Tacklers. I especially everything between Friede, Liko, and Roy. Yes, Friede. You are a father now. 

The scene where Roy was being welcomed and couldn’t figure out the handshake had me dead. 😂

On a related note FOUND FAMILY FOUND FAMILY FOUND FAMILY FOUND FAMILY--

The moment Roy started crying when they were leaving and he was saying bye to everyone gave me so many feelings. I will protect this boi with my life.

Related to this scene, I feel a fic idea coming on.

Oooooooooh Amethio. The moment he punched the wall I knew it was getting serious. I’ve seen some comments in the tags about how he’s reminding some people of Zuko, and I could totally see that. I’m really excited for where his character arc will go. (awkward wave) “Hello. Amethio here.”

So uh… in the brand new episodes of the new pokemon series a new Pokemon was revealed that heavily resembles and implies to be related to a DLC legendary, and like. No one I’ve seen online is talking about it??????

It’s very obviously related in some way to Terapagos (same eye, body, etc shapes and colors), whether it be a pre-evo, form, perceived/hidden identity, WHATEVER it is. I’m so hyped who is this turtle baby….

Apparently in JN132 and MPM08 (aka the last part of Leon vs. Ash battle and the Banette ep), there are random background characters resembling RS!Brendan and Lyra's design.

Current mood: Screeching over the found family vibes that are blossoming in Pokémon Horizons (2023). I need fanfic of the Rising Volt Tacklers asap. With that in mind, I feel compelled to share ideas / thoughts / maybe a few headcanons also because I just really need to share them. qwq

SPOILER WARNING AHEAD (up to the end of episode 3)! 

I can’t stop thinking about the part in episode 3 where Friede is about to battle Amethio and tells Liko to stand back so she won’t get caught in the crossfire. I know he’s giving her an opportunity to go find Sprigatito while he stalls for time, but I’m just saying -- I really appreciate that the episode mentioned this, since I feel like the actual danger of Pokémon battling to humans isn’t always talked about. On that note, though -- imagine if Liko / Friede / whoever else actually got caught in a battle’s crossfire, resulting in injury... Good thing Mollie and Chansey are on board.

As of the end of episode 3, Liko is attending classes remotely. The rest of the crew would probably know she’s taking remote classes. So, imagine this: There’s a big test coming up, or it’s finals week, etc. and Liko and Ann are video chatting and studying. Of course, she’s stressed out about it. By the end of the call, maybe there is some aspect of whatever subject she’s still struggling to understand. Her brain can’t take any more of this, so she leaves her room for a break / change of scenery / etc. Cue late-night de-stress session (probably with Murdock, he seems like he’d be good at this).

If you want a part 2 to this, maybe she takes that test and, despite the crew’s best efforts to help her study / give pointers and advice, she still fails. Cue hurt/comfort scenario.

Or she does well, and everyone celebrates. Yay fluff :)

The lights of the Paldean cities look so different from the airship as opposed to the ground. It’s magical.

When you’re at a really high altitude in the air, oftentimes it gets cold, right? I like to think that they keep a lot of blankets. (Fuecoco might be open to warm hugs, but don’t even try with Orla’s Slugma. Just don’t.)
