someone on the older self shippers post brought up how its strange that older just means someone over 25 and not people in their 40s+ and i agree. i do think its strange in fandom cultures/behavior, but sadly, its because this horrible trend that you see people shitting on people who arent even 30 getting treated like theyre criminals for enjoying what makes them happy too. its become hell on earth because in fandom spaces we are calling anything over 25 as "old" like theres no way on earth so many people have so much resentment and anger towards people who dare not be just in their early twenties or younger

honestly, shout out to older self shippers. lots of people end up shitting on older people who enjoy having fun for the fact that they're "too old" to enjoy what makes them happy. do whatever you want forever, just because you're not 13 or 20 doesn't mean you don't deserve to do what you love
