In honor of Deadpool & Wolverine coming out today, I wanted to finally share the Deadpool plush I made for my cousin’s birthday. I like to call him Plushpool.

Here's how I imagine the X-Men and Deadpool would react to discovering their partner (the reader/you) has plushies of them and cuddles with them when they aren't around:

Peter Maximoff (Quicksilver)

Peter would be over the moon.

“Wait, wait, you bought a plushie of me? That’s… awesome! It’s, like, the ultimate compliment. I mean, who wouldn’t want a mini me, right?!”

He’d probably grab the plushie, zip around the room with it, and then dramatically pose next to it like, “Who wore it better, me or plushie-me?” Once the excitement settles, he’d quietly admit:

"That's actually really sweet. You know, I might miss you too when I’m not around."

Cue him buying a plushie of you so he can return the favor.

Logan (Wolverine)

Logan would be baffled at first.

“You’re tellin’ me you got a doll of me? What, they sell those now?”

When you explain, he’d grumble something like, “That’s kinda… weird. But, uh, I guess it’s cute. Don’t go tellin’ anyone, though.”

Later, you’d catch him subtly checking the plushie out, maybe poking at it with a claw. Eventually, he’d leave a gruff comment like:

"Guess it’s good you miss me, darlin’. I’d be pissed if you didn’t."

Jean Grey

Jean would be flattered and touched.

“Oh my gosh, that’s adorable! You really do miss me that much when I’m gone?”

She’d probably tease you a bit, playfully holding the plushie up to her face and pretending to "talk" to you through it.

“Well, it’s good to know I’m always with you, even if it’s in stuffed form. But you know, I’d rather me be there to cuddle instead.”

Cue her trying to spend even more time with you.

Scott Summers (Cyclops)

Scott would blush and try to play it cool.

“You… you have a plushie of me? That’s, uh, really… thoughtful. I didn’t think people even made those.”

He’d overthink it a bit, wondering if you were making fun of him or if it was genuine. Once he realizes it’s the latter, he’d smile and say:

“It’s nice to know you miss me as much as I miss you. Maybe I’ll keep one of you around too.”

Ororo Munroe (Storm)

Ororo would find it endearing and dignified.

“A plushie of me? You’re so sweet! I had no idea you felt so attached to me even when I’m away.”

She’d probably chuckle, lightly brushing her fingers over the plushie’s hair and marveling at the tiny details.

“You’ll always have me by your side, love, plushie or not. But I’m honored you’d think of me this way.”

Ororo might even buy a small trinket for the plushie to make it more "you."

Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto)

Erik would be perplexed and a little amused.

“A plushie? Of me? I’m not sure if I should be flattered or insulted.”

But deep down, he’d be secretly touched that you miss him. He’d make a sarcastic comment like:

“Let me guess, you use it to win arguments with me when I’m not here?”

Later, when he thinks you’re not looking, you might catch him inspecting the plushie with a small, almost imperceptible smile.

Charles Xavier (Professor X)

Charles would find it heartwarming.

“Is that… me? Oh, my love, that’s absolutely delightful.”

He’d tease you lightly, but his tone would be warm and affectionate.

“I must say, it’s a comfort to know I’m always with you in some form. Though, I’d much prefer to be there in person.”

He’d give you a kiss and might secretly wish for a plushie of you as well.

Deadpool (Wade Wilson)

Wade would absolutely lose his mind—in the best way possible.

“Oh. My. God. You have a plushie of me?! That’s, like, the cutest thing anyone has ever done. EVER.”

He’d immediately grab it and start narrating an over-the-top love story between himself and the plushie version of him.

“Deadpool 3: Plushpool’s Revenge! Coming soon to theaters near you!”

Then he’d dramatically throw himself on the bed, fake crying.

“I feel so loved. You’re the best thing to ever happen to me. This is better than Chimichangas. I said what I said.”

You’d never hear the end of it, and he’d probably buy plushies of the two of you as a matching set.
