Being jurgen leitner the day that gerry almost killed him was probably really surreal. Imagine you’re minding your business, collecting fucked up books, and out of nowhere this goth guy covered in eye tattoos shows up and beats you half to death, then stops, goes, “no you’re too pathetic to be jurgen leitner” and leaves without further elaboration. And you dont correct him, you like being alive after all, and after that you just… continue with your life. And then several years later you tell this to some random guy in the tunnels you’ve been hiding in, and he not only knows who the goth was, but seems somewhat fond of the goth. And then you get brutal pipe murdered by the random guy’s boss. Oops

im struggling to put words to thought about the recent announcement of Rooster Teeth shutting down after 21 years. their wide variety of content was a constant companion to me throughout my time in university and was a great comfort at the beginning of the pandemic until October 2020 (iykyk)

Warner Brothers-Discovery is seriously being mismanaged as a company. with the shelving of the already made Batgirl movie, the recent shelving of Coyote v. Acme, and many other poorly made decisions content wise, im not surprised they're axing Rooster Teeth as another means of attempting to save money and earn a little more by offering up some of RT's properties

it just sucks that RWBY will likely never finish

it just sucks that so many talented, hardworking people will be losing their jobs

it just sucks that countless hours of content will likely be lost

it just sucks that this is how it ends.

i could be pointing out smth completely obvious but when arthur was able to speak and said "you lied" i dont think he was directing that at john. i dont think hes mad at john. because right after he said that, he said kayne's name and he sounded infuriated. i think he was saying "you lied kayne" rather than "you lied [john]. kayne!!" it sounded specifically like he was just realizing smth in that moment, and he had that whole time while kayne and john were talking to hear what john had gone through and done (plus i just have had such a feeling even before this episode that when arthur finds out what john did he wont be as angry as john thinks he will be, if at all). but i think the reason he said you lied was because arthur just realized that kayne fuckin lied to him in their deal in coda when he said he'd return john to him. that motherfucker lied and instead of giving him john back like he said he gave him a completely different person. now obviously this would piss arthur off as it is but now add the fact that arthur JUST learned that, that whole time not only was that not john, but john was in the fucking dark world suffering for god knows how long instead of (relatively) safe and in addison like arthur thought he was!!!! (albeit without his memory but yknow). but yeah anyway all this to say i think he was yelling at kayne for lying to him not john.

#this isnt vent dw!!! i dont smoke either i was just kinda going for some sort of vibe #i know its usually played for laughs or like. dark humor whenever ppl draw mascots without their heads and u can see the actor #but i always found it fascinating and a little sobering. ever since i was a kid ive always been hyperaware of ppl in costumes #like. even if i tried to block it out id be thinking the whole time 'its not real. theres a person in that suit who gets paid to do this'#it used to be an uncomfortable nagging feeling but now its like. oh yeah theres someone with a whole life story doing this. idk #i think when i tell ppl im not conscious of my body its like. im not dysphoric or experience dissociation but. at the same time #it feels like my physical body doesnt fully outwardly represent me..?? like some sort of costume #i like to phrase it as being a giant hairless mecha and inside theres a very tiny puppy piloting the damn thing #and the other thing is. when i draw my sona i dont really see it as what i /wish/ i looked like or how i want people to see me #its like being in a costume and just. fucking around with some sort of barrier between myself and others #plus mascots arent allowed to talk and i dont really. engage with other ppl in public spaces that it kinda feels like ad lib #i share a lot abt my life but ironically im also a private person..... i guess it just gives me some sort of control over my identity #my art #myart #my oc #sona #mascot #furry #??? is this furry art????#twinkle #puppysona #edit: had to outline it bc i just realized it looks really weird on dark mode -_-

If you're interested in textile art, please understand it will not end at one of the arts. Interested in weaving? There are many different types, so now you're learning about the culture these styles come from, and with that comes learning about their clothing. Now you're interested in learning how to sew clothing, and much of it has some kind of embroidery. So you do research and see how beautiful it is, and different types of embroidery exist. You decide to learn embroidery and get curious about lace because often they're seen together.

Prepare for a journey and get real good at organizing. You'll soon lose space because of supplies and tools.

#words from the artist #textile artist #textiles #i made macrame jewelry for over 20 years and burned out but i'm also in a family of quilters and found something new. now i make quilts #and have a huge interest in learning thread painting and embroidery. most importantly i want to learn how to make and repair my #own clothing. do you know how difficult it is to find clothing thag fits a curvy woman barely over five feet tall? apparently being short #means being skinny. i'm not nor are most short folks i know. plus i can never find anything with big bold bright prints or shorts not made #of denim and at knee-length but also baggy. the “shorts” i have are shorts on people over 5'6“. they're capris on me. the only way i will #ever have clothes i love is to make them myself. i also intend to decorate current and future clothing with embroidery.#and also learn sashiko and apply it to mending and handquilting. my right hand and wrist are what's stopping me from learning #knit or crochet and several other things. yup physical disabilities are why i haven't taken those on.
