We're changing how moderation works: Reporting blogs at a certain threshold (maybe 1000 unique reports) gets it sent to a human person for manual review. Nobody gets deleted without a human pulling the kill switch.

Refined search engine: There's a new button you can press when searching a term that lets you exclude certain tags, sort by date posted/most likes/etc. Also you can refine it to include only results from certain users. It's the Ao3 system. Please I'm begging you Tumblr's search is so broken and hides so many works behind an arbitrary cap. You can't tell me there are only 3000 posts about Zelda over the 10+ years this site has been alive, you CAN'T.

Theme on/off switch on page: Themes are an integral part of Tumblr. You can HTML things to death. But sometimes they're illegible to some people, so instead of having to swap "powdermelonkeg.tumblr.com" to "tumblr.com/powdermelonkeg" manually, there's a sliding toggle at the top of the blog that allows you to quickly switch between them.

Filterable asks: You can set blocked terms so people can't send you them in your ask box. For example, if I don't want to see anything about "weather," nobody can ask me anything that includes the word "weather." And if there's a scam/copypasta sort of thing going around, you can block entire paragraphs of text.

Mutual icons beside usernames on posts: Same as it is in the Activity tab, you can now see if someone who put something on your dash is a mutual or not.

I used language comparing humans and other animals as two separate things (for the sake of drawing the narrative conclusions I needed to, in order to make the concept understood in only a few pages), like this:

But because of this simplified language, people drew their OWN wild conclusions about me as a person.

For example, this guy on twitter:

I never actually said humans WEREN'T animals, never said humans were somehow 'above' biology...I was simply putting them into a separate category capable of a specific set of skills for the sake of the comparison I made in the last couple of pages as the punchline.

But they decided that it must "clearly" mean I believe X, Y and Z.

This has happened MORE than enough times!

Writing is difficult, and writing for varied audiences with different dialects, different levels of reading ability, and different attention spans is hard! Sometimes, people don't want to sit through 2 pages of 'well humans are animals but due to a specific evolutionary niche we fill our ability to use language and calculate mathematical equations to the degree that we do is really unique--'

There is, however, a deeper, darker layer of him underneath all that, and it tends to come out and become easier to see the longer and better you know him. PLEASE BE WARNED: While I don’t intend on roleplaying James’s more intensely toxic personality traits with my writing partners and in roleplay threads, please keep in mind that James’s character does have toxic traits, including becoming easily jealous of others and easily attached to others, including to the point of obsession. He may even, at times, insult your muse if he sees them as competition, or become physically hostile, or even try to hurt your muse (although I will never allow him to do so without discussing it with you first).

There is no requirement for you to interact with James and I will not be at all offended if you decide you don’t feel comfortable interacting with him. If at any time you feel uncomfortable, all you need to do is drop the thread. I would also appreciate it if you let me know too so that I will know not to send James to your inbox for ask memes and such, although telling me is up to you.

My intention with James is to explore his darker, more toxic traits internally among my own muses through writing drabbles and such, while keeping his interactions with other people’s muses on the lighter side, but due to the nature of his character, he will never be totally free of his toxic traits (unless he improves via character development). Any interaction with him may include toxic situations at any time. With this in mind, if you are interested in exploring his darker side with me, you are more than welcome to do so! I will require that we plot these things out, so that we are both on the same page the whole way and making sure we are both comfortable with how things are progressing.

I am more than okay with shipping, if of course we’re both on the same page about it. One-sided crushes can happen, both from your character and mine, but if the feelings are unrequited I will not push you for a relationship nor should you expect yourself to do the same towards me. i experience shipping anxiety due to past trauma; for that reason, i prefer to ship with friends, people i vibe with, and people i can go to for reassurance.

For any pokémon battle thread, I will be using the PWT battle system. Please give these a good read, and understand that I demand communication during these types of threads. For rolling the dices, we will be using roll dices with friends. Levels of Felicity's team may be adjusted depending on the timeline of events, or simply to make the battles more fair if there is too much of a level disparency. We can also use Showdown.
