i think it was probably brief and awkward, a quick celebratory hug! maybe after a hard fought battle, and filled with emotions and adrenaline, he just made the leap without thinking and bear hugged etho. bdubs pulled away faster than etho was expecting, and he kinda followed bdubs leaning away. they stumbled a little awkwardly, and etho immediately tried to clear his throat and brush it off or laugh it off because he felt really embarrassed, but bdubs is bdubs. and their second hug was the moment after their first and it was longer, and it was more tender than either had intended. they just stood there leaning into each other for a little while. etho was (and is) so touch starved. he had never been used to physical touch, but from that moment on, bdubs just became his person. the only person etho trusted to touch him without restraint. if someone he wasn’t as close with tried to put a hard around his shoulder to keep it there, you could’ve bet that they’d end up with their arm twisted around their back and regretting their life choices. but not bdubs. bdubs got to see the face without the mask, got to hold his hand and hug his waist (insert short joke here), and braid his hair, and kiss his scars (it’s ok they were wearing socks. it’s not gay ‼️)

So, Ghost Eddie or Vampire(Kas) Eddie? Why?

While I love a good ghost story, it breaks my heart for Eddie to be dead. I can kinda do a temporary death where Eddie is actually in a coma or something, and the "ghost" part is Eddie astral projecting...but even then, so much angst. I am not an angsty kind of girl. I stay far away from tragic love stories.

That being said, I LOVE supernatural Eddie. Vampire, Werewolf, Witch, random Cryptid, being like El, I am totally down for that. There is so much potential for stories like that. Plus, Eddie gets to live.

(This is absolutely not just a silly, offhand thought. For the love of god ask me more about the metaphorical nature of lycanthropy that is so commonly overlooked by that of vampirism, which is cool in its own sense, but not nearly as devastating imo)
