This week I did a lot of social media engagement. I spent a lot of time in front of the screen so I wanted to take my computer to places that help spark my creativity. One of my favorite places to do work is Playa Provisions (pictured above), they have fabulous artwork and there are always lots of adorable dogs and babies. My boss assigned me many assignments to do on both Instagram and FB. She is very active on both platforms, and that is how she gets through to most of her followers. Any events, products, etc. she promotes can be found on both sites. Therefore, she has me engage with her following and release news to the public mostly through these two outlets. It can be tedious at times, but it has given me the chance to continue improving my PR writing skills.

Life has been pretty great. I am feeling very productive (and grown-up ish) this semester. I am really enjoying doing things beyond just school work. It’s giving me a tiny preview for what life will be like after all of this if I want to continue down this path.

I escaped to San Diego this past weekend with a friend and having a weekend away in a beautiful place provided me the chance to slow down for a second and appreciate the small moments.

January was an insane month- lots of wonderful things happened and lots of not so wonderful things happened. I am very happy that it’s the start of a new month and we can all start fresh. Life can be heavy sometimes and there are many moments that remind us all to pause and count our blessings. Life is precious.

It was created on August 23, 1871.

Decree of Creation

Tradition says that this town was founded by elements from Colinas, Trinidad, San Nicolás and Celiac, from Santa Barbara, who built their homes in the point called Llano Viejo, located south of where it is currently located, due to the scarcity of water that place was abandoned and moved to the place where it is today. In 1801 it appeared as a reduction of Tehuma (San Manuel), it was given category of Municipality on August 23, 1871 by agreement of the Political Governor of the Department of Santa Bárbara, as follows: Santa Bárbara, August 23, 1871. Mr. Municipal Mayor of San Pedro Sula. In the request of the neighborhood of Villanueva, on the matter of the Municipality, fell the determination that says Political Government of the Department of Santa Bárbara, Honduras, August 23, 1871. In view of the request that on the 28th of next month, the Auxiliary Mayor of Villanueva addressed to my Office by himself and on behalf of his Governed, asking that a Municipality be established in the aforementioned reduction because there is a need for it and the number of souls that the Law requires to a very low degree.

Given the report that the Municipality of Tehuma gave on 7 Of the current as a result of the transfer that happened to him, in whose report he denies that there are the considerable number of them is surprising jurisdiction.

As a result of the previous resolution, the Governor of the circle of San Pedro Sula, on the third day of receiving the present one, will proceed to organize the new municipality in accordance with the laws in force and as soon as the election is verified, he will make him take the necessary oath and explain his duties in general so that they comply with them.
