The thing about tumblr is that there’s a panic about how the site is dying and falling apart literally every other week so eventually if you’ve been here long enough you just get zen about it. Like if anything specific is your breaking point do whatever you want but personally they’re gonna have to pry me out of the vents like a feral raccoon before I leave. Anyway if you’re new here and you see people talk about how something is the end of tumblr and you’re afraid they’re correct I just want you to know I’ve been here through probably like 300 ends of tumblr. I’m not saying it will never happen for real but statistically I remain skeptical.

idk how relatable this is but there's times where i've wanted to experience a piece of media that has been deemed Cringe or Pretentious, but i need to experience it With someone, so that someone must be non-judgemental and equally interested in accepting sincerity into their heart, and sometimes a particular friend becomes a repeat designated driver for that particular ride. anyway call that partner in cringe

I am going to need the Solitaire fans to stop misusing tags. I get it, you want your posts to get attention, but this really isn’t the way. Tags on Tumblr are meant for organization, meaning that if you tag a character and/or a fandom, the post itself must at least mention the character and/or fandom.

ducktales woohoo tried to emulate the Ducktales (2017) artstyle. i failed!! i'm joking, it's decent, it's alright. I watched the reboot in December and I absolutely loved it so while my first plan was to make good old fanart FOR ONCE, I eventually settled with my two sillies. that and i'm slow as hell so time is of the essence. also a late valentine's day post? I guess?? no day like any day to celebrate love, isn't it?

Playing subnautica again and struggling a lil bc I set rules that I wouldn't panic-cheat w console commands this time

so base building has been a lil slow but I'm having fun!! I thought it was high enough to not have a problem with a tube I wanted to build to my bedroom so I just stacked it on top like a lil attic instead

Also, I found a time capsule!!! There was a water filtration suit inside which is a massive boon for me bc I struggle keeping enough water, not so much with food

Why did no one tell me that fairy tales count as their own fandoms on AO3?

I’d always avoided fanfic and fandom culture because seeing other people’s (entirely subjectively) Wrong Opinions on existing IP tend to make me irrationally angry (and that is something I’d like to work on Not Doing—why do I do that?) but!!! Straight-up fairy tale retellings? That aren’t AUs of copyrighted media?? Taking the tools of modern transformative fiction and applying them to traditional tale types and thus creating a hybrid between the very new and the very old???
