Don't know if this is common but my first playthrough of Dead Space 1 has turned into an impromptu Plasma Cutter only run. Is there any reason to buy other weapons? Fully upgraded this thing is a total beast and all buying any other weapon does is make Plasma Cutter ammo more scarce.

I'm also into the Dead Space games (except Dead Space 3 because that's just a pile of ass). But this is the first time I've seen Gunner Wright aka Isaac Clarke like this with a life-size plasma cutter.

Isaac Clarke was an engineer who just wanted to see his girlfriend. He wasn't a superhuman or magic being. He was a regular guy who went into survivor mode in space.

I'd follow him to the end of space if he were real.
