SAVAGE ISLAND (1985) Grade: D+
No idea how this movie ended up on my list. But at least I could cross it off. Just a old "B" movie / grind house type film. Will actually be an interesting/average #Netflix movie w higher budget.

L'ultimo cacciatore (The Last Hunter, 1980)
"You actually enjoy it."
"Listen, sweetheart, I've been out here too long. I don't know what's good or bad anymore, don't know who my friends or my enemies are. But I don't enjoy it. I don't want to argue about it anymore. Don't want to think about it anymore or understand it anymore. Sometimes, I think I don't want to live anymore."

Margheriti assembled his go to team (including brits Warbeck and#Steiner) and flew to the Philippines to shoot a bloody‚ brainless adventure jaunt. the results are undeniably trash but also admittedly#fun; Margheriti apparently didn't want to make a political film‚ just a fun one‚ which is insane (i truly do not believe you can make an#apolitical war film) and whilst the politics of his film don't really bear a deeper look (there's little nuance here) they certainly exist#Warbeck is his dependable self but Steiner steals this as a battle crazed Major who listens to records of gunfire to relax and has his#men run a deadly gauntlet to fetch coconuts (unironically perhaps the most disturbing scene of the film for the sheer madness of it all)#director and star ended up making a slew of these Namsploitation pics‚ long after the US itself had lost interest in the idea#as was common in Italian cinema‚ the title there suggested this was a sequel to The Deer Hunter (known there as Il cacciatore)

THE CASTLE OF THE LIVING DEAD (1964) Reviews of Christopher Lee Euro horror
The Castle of the Living Dead is a 1964 Gothic horror film about a taxidermist who mummifies unwitting entertainers. The Italian/French co-production was written and directed by American Warren Kiefer as Herbert Wise. Sei donne per l’assassino (Шесть женщин для убийцы) (Кровь и черные кружева)

Talbot-Lago T14 LS Spécial, 1957. The Talbot-Lago Sport became the company's swan song, it was introduced in 1955 powered by their own 2.5 litre 4 cylinder engine with twin laterally mounted camshafts. The fragility of the engine and Talbot-Lago's limited resources to improve it meant that after building 54 cars they turned to BMW for their 2.5 litre V8 in 1958. Eleven of the BMW-engined cars (renamed the Talbot-Lago America) were built before Tony Lago decided to accept an offer from Simca president, Henri Pigozzi, for the sale of the Talbot brand to Simca.
