大花虻[Oohanaabu] Phytomia zonata

大[Oo] : Large

花[Hana] : Flower

虻[Abu] : Horsefly

花虻 means Hoverfly. The body length is about fifteen millimeters and gathers in flowers. The large compound eyes, similar to those of a fly, are patterned. The eyes of males are attached to each other, while females are separated. The one in thi photo is a male.

虻 has two wings, while 蜂[Hachi](Bee, hornet, wasp) has four wings.

Parę bzygów (Phytomia zonata) przylatywało do Fatsii (Fatsia japonica). Some hoverflies (Phytomia zonata) came to fastia (Fatsia japonica). ヤツデにオオハナアブが何匹か来てました。
