Stupidest question of all: are there like, fancy worms or are they all just Worms ? Would you post some unusual ones if there are Any?

There are some really cool flatworms! I posted one here. But in terms of like…land annelids, like earthworms, I can’t think of anything that’s super fancy. I do love giant earthworms! I posted one here a while back.

Magnolia sieboldii subsp. sieboldii (Korean mountain magnolia)

This early summer flowering magnolia is a late bloomer compared to most of the ornamental magnolias in my neighborhood. The petals open to reveal this amazing structure with a yellowish pistil and pinkish, light-purple stamens. This is a mountain plant and can survive temperatures as low as -30 Celsius (-22 F), far hardier than your typical magnolia. The southern magnolia, Magnolia Grandiflora, is the state flower of Mississippi and likes it hot and moist, whereas this species, Magnolia sieboldii is the national flower of North Korea. Why, I bet old Kim Il Sung himself had one growing in his back garden.

A fern that thrives in a sheltered location Dryopteris sieboldii (Siebold's wood fern, Asian wood fern) is an evergreen with a short-creeping rhizome and bold, leathery, bluish-green fronds with only a few segments. Ideally a moist, humus-rich soil is required in partial shade.

A lot of people are surprised about the actual spelling of a few of our royals’ names;

Gira Husty instead of Hastie, which will be difficult to get used to, but I will continue to use #gira hastie as it is used more in the fandom. (I will look into where Husty is from, nothing on ranger wiki yet)

Yanma Gast instead of Gust; in which Yanma’s name derives from the Japanese word for “Golden-ringed dragonfly” Oniyanma, and it’s scientific name Anotogaster sieboldii

Himeno Ran- I’ve seen people think Ran is her actual name and I can imagine that they think the show meant “Princess Ran”, which to be fair, is confusing. But it’s her family name :3 and her name is Hymeno, derived from the Japanese term for “Orchid Mantis” (very fitting 🌼) which is Ranhanakamakiri, and it’s scientific name Hymenopus coronatus.

Rita’s name is based on Ruritateha, (Blue Admiral Butterfly 🦋), and her surname from it’s scientific name, Kaniska Canace, instead of Kanisuka.

Now, will I start spelling their names this way? Probably not, but for the sole reason in which they’re not well known. I had looked at the wiki ages ago and knew, but I just used the most popular tags. If I see that over time they are used more, then I will correct myself too for the future ✨
