This is my ol fav character/“hyperfixation” table. A bunch of goobers I loved more than anything in April this year (I still love them all shh). Ide just add more characters like Loki from Marvel, Big Man from Splatoon, Mob from Phycho 100, a Stray character, Viktor or Silco from Arcane, Raz from Phychonauts, Ken from Dandadan, and maybe even Kinger from TADC. I'm also a streamer fan so I might sneak Ranboo or JackManifold in there lol.

I would say they do in like based designs and principles-

Both use more heavily stylized bodys and head shapes

The main difference is what shapes they mainly use with psychonauts really not using full circles while fanboy and chum chum using alot more rounded and curved shapes more often than psychonauts. Another major difference is in color but i think putting them side by side can tell you that.

I think the main reason people said it looked more fanboy and chum chum is more so due to the eyes being out in big old circles than inside the design itself

I think it also helps my looking at fanboy and chum chums 2d art to help see the compations better.

Tho i will say your art has alot more colors inline with psychonauts and the milk man expically looks like it could be a phychonauts asset of that makes you feel better-

Could someone please tell me that Psychonauts and Fanboy and Chum Chum have similar art styles, because the art style above was loosely based on Psyhconauts but everybody says that it looks like Fanboy and Chum Chum.

Idk, maybe that way I won’t feel that it’s that horrendous.

Thoughts on Otto Mentallis

I just noticed throughout the story, especially in things like memory vaults, Otto seems just rather unperturbed by the events that happen around him be it past or present.

This seemed to place him as a potential candidate for the villain of the game due to this appearing to be suspicious behavior. (IE being happy to open the motherlobe while everyone else is sad, having had Helmet’s brain the entire time though the memory vault shows it really WAS an accident that he found it)

However I’m actually somewhat glad, surprised but glad, that he was just a subtle red herring all along. Like, what if Otto is just Like That���? Like perhaps he is a nonviolent/benign psychopath?

In a game that focuses on mental illness and disorders it’d be interesting and somewhat fitting to have a character like that. It could be that I’m wrong and he ends up the villain in another game down the line but I think it would be interesting and more positive representation than what is in most media if I end up being right and he remains a good guy.
