What do you think the RCM's favorite musicals are? You can also add others like Andre, Cindy, Klassje and such if you wanna.

I think Harry likes Grease, you know the one with John Travolta. I don't know why but I just get a strong feel. Kim likes musicals but wants the overall tone to be pretty serious. Jean likes anything satirical or a bit grim.

Oh lord you’re really gonna make me go back to my theater roots, huh? I’ve got a soft spot for this one very niche play called, “Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus.” It didn’t last very long on broadway, but I think it’s a cool production.

Harry is a fan of musicals and plays in general. He loved the combination of motion and music and words. He’ll watch most anything. I feel he’d especially hit by stories of family and love, so maybe Grease, but I think he would love Waitress. I will not elaborate. 

Kim is more of a fan of black comedies and critiques of modern society. I think he’d enjoy Falsettos, though, for its starring gay couple and the discussion of complicated emotions towards being queer. He’d also like Les Mis. 

(I imagine there’s a version of it in DE that’s about the revolution.)

Jean does enjoy satires and grim musicals. I think he’d like Book of Mormon and Sweeney Todd. 

On another note, he’d like Arsenic and Old Lace.

Trant would like more upbeat musicals about family in such, given that he would go to such events with his son. He’s probably a fan of Hamillton and other historical plays (though he finds the inaccuracies a bit irritating). I think his guilty pleasure would be Chicago. 

Judit likes older Shakespearen plays and plays with a hint of whimsy. I think she’d enjoy Cats and Phantom of the Opera.

Phantom of the Opera except Christine is played by two actresses. Phantom/Night Christine and Raul/Day Christine.

During the scene when Phantom tells her to look at her face in the mirror, Day Christine faces Night Christine, and it's Night Christine that leads the audience into the depths of the Opera House.

During Past the Point of No Return, Day Christine quietly slips into Night Christine. And in the end, it's Night Christine who pulls off the Phantom’s mask. It's her who needs to know what’s under it.

In the final duet, Night and Day Christine melodys combine into one. Day Christine is the Christine that kisses the Phantom.

And that's when the Phantom realizes he will never truly have her.

Sanders Sides: Phantom of the Opera AU

Okay I literally just got home after seeing The Phantom of the Opera live. This was my first time seeing a musical in person and I’m extremely giddy. To help channel my excitement, I came up with this AU. No idea if it’s been done before, and if it has been, here’s my take on it!  (Note it’s not fully fleshed out yet so bear with me)

Roman Daaé (Christine): A young singer with the voice of an angel and the new rising star of the Opera House. It’s rumored that his talent comes from the lessons he’s received from a mysterious teacher whose identity is unknown.

Deceit (The Phantom): No one knows who he is or where he came from. Known as the “Opera Ghost” he lives underneath the Opera House where he pulls the strings. He appears to Roman as an “Angel of Music” and is the one who taught him how to sing. 

Virgil, Vicomte de Chagny (Raoul): Was Roman’s best friend when they were kids. He finds him again during Roman’s debut performance and wishes to rekindle their friendship, which may turn into something more...

Logan Giry (Madame Giry): The box keeper who (according to most people at the Opera) is the one who actually keeps the place running. Stern and strict, he has a soft spot for his son, Patton Giry, and Roman. He also knows of the Phantom and does his bidding, though no one knows why.

Patton Giry (Meg Giry): One of Roman’s best friends and the son of Logan Giry. One of the dancers, Patton secretly dreams of being in the spotlight and looks up to Roman, constantly encouraging him and staying by his side. He also knows of the Phantom and has even seen him once, though his father doesn’t know about it. 

 That’s about all I got for now, more will follow if enough people are interested!
