K absolutely none of this is connected to her shows and her worker drama it's unrelated; but I'm not gonna lie Viv's Japan vacation where she's showing herself with a bunch of animal cafes is really starting to piss me off.

The deer being fed I think are wild, I don't have anything to say about that. But the owl cafes, the otter cafe, the marine park.

Look here! I'm not anti-captivity, honest (though AZA is hard to trust when they legit have an approval rating on Seaworld), but I really am skeeved out by so-called zoos and attractions that let you pet the animals, kind of especially if they aren't domesticated animals but exotics. Though, tbh even dog/cat pet shelters or whatever sound pretty hectic to eat at. Also, feels a little unsanitary. But even if that weren't a problem I just...kind of don't like anything where the animals are literally tied down and can't escape from you. It's the same reason I and a lot of other people don't like those pony-rides at fairs. The whole time you're worried about the animal's safety and happiness and also you aren't having any real connection to them.

Watching animals in an enclosure that's nice where they're just doing their thing >>> having to pet the animal. Not that I'm immune to propaganda and wouldn't absolutely volunteer to clean up scat if it meant I could hold a weasel being rehabilitated to the wild for a hot minute. I would 100% do that (it'd bite. Don't care). But there's that and then there's me getting to bond with a weasel that's shock collared or chained somehow and can't escape from me. That doesn't sit right.

And no. I don't care if it's in another country it's still wrong by a lot of global standards. In fact, I think it's kind of weird that people are doing the "respect other cultures"-thing only when it comes to Instagramable stories.

Ya'll have to realize it's not just yuppie American vegangelicals complaining. There are animal rights orgs in Thailand fighting elephant tourism, there ARE animal rights orgs in Japan and they do not like the animal cafes. Animal rights/welfare aren't some kind of 'annoying' American pastime. Why do you think Milo and Otis was controversial? Why do you think Padak exists? Respecting other cultures and their practices means: letting indigenous people hunt the animals they've been hunting for thousands of years, which of course isn't always going to be pretty cause that's what traditional hunting IS; it's allowing ritual animal slaughter in spaces and religions where that's done to feed the community and not as torture or sacrifice. And personally, as a mostly vegetarian, I say right on to both of those things.

Zoos, farms, petting zoos, aquariums and sanctuaries are YMMV, but I vouch for them in theory and usually in practice. Animal cafes and marine parks? I'm sorry but I can't not see those as being tourism and exploitive at best. Especially marine parks.

Viv straight up did a pic based on Blackfish but I guess that doesn't matter in Japan. I'm really disappointed in her as someone who loves animals. Because hey- when you as a human-animal love the other creatures of this earth, of course things like our rights come first. Humans are just that kind of animal and I don't think there's anything wrong with taxidermy or vulture culture. But, especially as an adult, you should know how to take care of animals and it should be your responsibility as their caretaker to give them the best care you have.

There's a petshop near where I (no longer in a few weeks) work. It used to hate that place cause I saw a rat eating another rat's baby alive among other abuses and the owner straight up didn't give a shit, not about the rat or that he was putting smaller reptiles in cages with monitor lizards. You can guess how that ended.

That place has new owners now. It mostly has animals there in transition. While they still have feeders (I know, that's prolly controversial to the reptile parents reading), their conditions have really improved. No crowding the rats, even the feeders, in unsafe unventilated places. They get REALLY mad if you tap the glass on the cages. No more keeping lovebirds apart from birds so that they're always calling. Betafish males get actual decorated tanks to themselves instead of those depressing bowls! If petstores and units where you pick up your expensive reptiles, fish and birds from HAVE to exist, I'd rather they be places like this. Places where the staff are trying and really do seem to love and want the best for their animals while expecting nothing fancy from the animals in return.

I'd love to be proven wrong on this- I remember seeing a yt vid for a bed and breakfast where you ate outside with the cows that made the dairy you're eating, and them being cows they of course wanted to come up and say hi to the guests. Of course I'd love that '' magical '' experience with an animal while I'm enjoying my coffee. But I just can't trust cafes and exotic petting zoos like this. My family has veterinarians, farmers, vegans and vegetarians, and FFA graduates in it. I'm just really concerned about the little things like this.

I know in my heart that of course Viv doesn't want to hurt any animals- but it bothers me.

Three ships: I am currently in the middle of an IkeSoren renaissance, Wangxian are still a well beloved ship even if I'm currently not in fandom and I have recently had wandering thoughts about Count D and Leon from Petshop of Horrors, though it's been a long time since I've read that.

First Ship: Sakura and Syaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura. That's the first time I remember really rooting for a couple beyond just reading about them.

Last Film: Godzilla: Minus 1, which I saw in the theater. That was really a lot of fun!

Currently Reading: I have been stalled 3/4s of the way through Swordspoint for the last month, I was really enjoying it but have just not had the energy to pick a book back up recently.

Currently watching: Been watching YuYu Hakusho with the husband! We are near the end of the Dark Tournament right now, and are planning on either continuing Mob Psycho 100 or starting Yona of the Dawn after we finish that.

“You’re really early Kazu-“ I stood in the doorway shocked. I felt as if I was paralyzed I couldn’t tell if I was happy,mad,frightened, or confused by all this. He shouldn’t be here at all. He said he cut ties with all of us long ago. Why is he back? I don’t understand him and never will. Why is Manjiro Sano here?

Mikey’s POV

“Nice seeing you too Y/N” I give her a small smile before letting myself in their home.``Seems nothing really has changed,I hope you haven’t changed either.” Watching her stand there like a deer in headlights is amusing and pretty laughable though. “Say Y/N, can we play like we used to?” I ask cheerfully And smile at her waiting for a response. She nods slowly and I grab her wrist tightly “Let’s play hide and seek you hide.” I drop my smile immediately.``And we try to find you until 8:00 , try to not get caught, if you do get caught though, who knows what will happen to you .” In a blink of an eye she took off running out the house. I stood and watched chuckling. I pull out my phone calling Sanzu, hearing him pick it up.” Start the chase, make sure she won’t make it to her “date” , don't want my pet running off after all these years, do as you must just get them!” “Yes Boss, me and the Haitani’s are on it. Anything else you want us to do?”

I chuckle a little” Yeah, make sure “Lover Boy” doesn’t go looking for them, let alone try to find my precious Y/N.” I end the phone call and start walking around Y/N’s house taking some of her things here and there.

I woke up drenched in sweat,it was another nightmare again. I slowly get out of bed looking around the room, everytime feels so hazy and I feel like I could fall. Stumbling my way to the bathroom I start the shower turning the water on cold and heading back over to the mirror. I noticed that the longer I Stare at my face the more I notice how much I dislike the person I’ve become. Ever since Bonten started every single night was between hanging out in strip clubs, taking or dealing drugs, and by the end of the night Gambling with a random guy his life and most likely they lost and we killed them and took his money. By the time I get back home I get lonely and think about the old Toman days. Everything was so fun then, I miss everyone but I know I can’t be around let alone near them. I have a problem and I realized it early on, I can’t be fixed,,,,Well there is one person, she can’t really fix me but I would say she’s more of an aid to me.

“I can’t wait to see you again…….Y/N.”

I call up Sanzu as always he answers immediately, “Sanzu I need you to track down an old friend of mine you know her well.” “ Huh? Who specifically are we talking about?” he said, sounding so confused, most likely because last night we tried a new supply from the cartel.” Hunt down and find Y/N! And don’t take too long doing so knowing her she's doing a lot these days but is private about her personal life, also find out what she’s doing tonight I want to see her again myself” I ended the call and took off my clothes hopping in the shower. Taking really cold showers everyday helps me wake up more since everyone can tell I'm always tired.

I was doing paper work trying to sign off on a property to make another club when I got a call from Sanzu, I answer the phone in a tired tone”I reckon you found her already?””Yeah, but there’s a problem. I know your relationship with her and you aren’t gonna like this when I tell you” confused I stated”What’s the bad news? It better not be something that isn’t that big ….” Sanzu went silent for awhile then in a low tone said” When I stalked her today she was headed to the Petshop Chifuyu Matsuno and Kazutora Hanemiya own, I overheard them talking when I snuck in that she’s going on a date with Kazutora and that she chose him over you.” shocked I dropped the phone immediately I didn’t know how to feel. I went from shocked to angry.

“She can’t forget me”

“She can’t leave me “

“We never really officially broke up. I still own her….”

“I own her still so she’s kind of cheating yeah that’s it”

I kept telling myself those things till I finally picked the phone back up addressing Sanzu.”Give me the time of the date and her address, we are gonna pay (N/N) a little friendly visit.You know how much I can’t stand cheaters.” “Yes Boss” Sanzu said before hanging up and texting me the details.

I was running all throughout Tokyo trying to get somewhere or to someone's house I knew was safe. A black car was chasing me everywhere I went,every corner I turned , every ally , the car was there that jackass probably sent his men to spy on me. I ran towards the pet-shop banging on the door the lights were still on Chifuyu couldn't have been locking up this early "Chifuyu!!!Open up it's Y/N!" . The more I banged and banged on the door I felt like I was loosing hope and he didn't hear me. I turn around seeing the black car again parking as two men get out the car. I know one guy was Sanzu and the other I barley recognize he had a mullet and Burgundy and Light Lilac hair with a blue suit . I took off and ran into the back alley of the pet-shop hearing them chase me from behind. I kept running looking back a few times to see how close they were,I looked back one last time before I bumped into someone he had black hair with white streaks ,a scar on his face near his eye ,and a cigarette in his hand blowing smoke . He looks at me then smiles saying" I think we found you , little Y/N"

Next thing I know I was grabbed by the arms of Sanzu and the purple haired guy, I kicked and screamed trying to get out of their grasp then next thing I know.

16: Favorite Comedy Anime

<> Specifying that it has to be my favorite comedy anime because of the comedy and I can't just cheat and pick one that I love the art style or characters of something. This goes for the other genres, too! Also no duplicate anime between genres.

<> Nanbaka and Nichijou both made me laugh and smile a lot, but for an anime where almost none of the jokes missed I'd have to say Dorohedoro!

<> It's also one of my favorite Action, Mystery, Adventure, and Fantasy anime. I think everything it has going on is so so good and I can't wait to see more of it.

<> An anime where its Fantasy aspects are my favorite above all else.. I'm gonna tentatively say Mushi-shi.. I think the mushi border between supernatural and fantasy in a fun way and it's just such a quiet, unique show.

<> It's got a kindness to it, and a slice of life kind of attitude, but I think its specific brand of supernatural fantasy is what's really hooked me on it. It's quiet and gentle, but it has a spook to it! I love that about it.

<> I! Love! School-Live! and Another! and Petshop of Horrors! I think the one leading specifically due to the horror is Another.

<> School-Live is incredible but most of that rides on the emotions and the psychology of the characters. Petshop of Horror is amazing but it's the supernatural elements that get me and I don't feel that it's a Horror Horror, if that makes sense.

<> Another's horror is kinda silly to me. It's got what I call "carnival" deaths/gore where it's really overdrawn and wild and I think it's super fun! It also has the innate horror of the situation they're in, which is near-inescapable not just for them but for their loved ones. I think it's a fun concept and, as mentioned, the deaths are super silly.

<> I'm not a romance person, never have been, but ever since watching Urusei Yatsura 2022 I've been slowly opening my heart to the genre. My favorite Romance because of the romance is probably....

<> Astro Note and Midori days both have scenes with a character admitting to another that they're not interested in them (or interested in someone else) and I think it's really sweet in both anime. It makes the anime and the relationships feel fuller to me!
