Who said the Real Estate Market was on a downturn for sellers? The real estate market is on fire again in many parts of the country including Montreal, Brampton and Muskoka Cottage Country. The hot real estate market in Montreal is because of a mix of very low inventory, a solid Quebec economy and influx of foreign buyers which has caused home prices to rise for the first time in seven years. These markets are spawning bidding wars. The Kitchener / Waterloo Market as reported by KWAR two weeks ago said prices were on a rise and averaging around the $400,000-$600,000 price point. Wow, there is some great news that was released today from the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR). They say that the real estate market in this region is returning to normal and the prices remain stable. Tony Schmidt, KWAR President said that "The number of sales has decreased from what we were seeing the past couple of years to more typical levels, but the value of homes not only remains steady but continues to gradually increase. The competition from buyers is still out there, but not nearly as prevalent as the past two years. This is showing up in the $400,000-$600,000 price point where we continue to see the shortest average days on market" The average days it took to sell a home in June was 23 days, the same as in June 2017. This is great news if you are wanting to sell your home. I am looking for sellers who have the following properties.
