Director and screenwriter Pernille Fischer Christensen was born in Denmark in 1969. Christensen's film Indien won the Cinéfondatión 3rd Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Her short film Habibti My Love won a Robert Award for best short. Christinsen's first feature film, en Soap, won the Best First Feature Award and the Silver Bear Jury Grand Prix Award at the Berlin Film Festival. Her film A Family won the prize for best narrative film at the 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival.
