i have lived my life through television screens and old paintings, doors and car engines. whirring to life then crashing only moments later. i’ve tried bodies but none had ever felt right, none could ever compare with my own. a cursed competition that i’m bound to lose every damn time i play. i’ve seen decades pass like milliseconds, picked up slang that died out less than a year later and i’ve driven people mad to the brink of escape. it was fun for a while, then i just got bored. war torn soldiers angered me, grieving mothers exhausted me, little girls with bows and flowers in their hair enraged me.
