I ve been recently reading "the hating game" and it has soooooooo nessian vibes. But in their case i think it would be much darker and heavier. This anguish and sexual tension would be too obvious and visible 😍 i think they would even try to hurt each other just to be a winner.

I love "The Hating Game" so much!

It definitely does give Nessian vibes, and I agree that they both have some trauma to bring to the table that could teeter on sensitive territory in their little game of push and pull. I also think Cassian wouldn't resist being an insufferable flirt when it served him properly, especially since it would get under Nesta's skin faster than anything else!

I can definitely see what you mean about them pushing each other to their limits in their attempts to be victorious, but I also see a soft accompaniment to that, too, depending on how far they've pushed.

I see them celebrating their glory, but having a sudden pang of guilt they can't identify. I see them potentially orchestrating this master plan, only to pull the plug prematurely when they realize the stakes. I see them going to every limit, yet without realizing it, they draw the line at each other's softest spots, their Achilles heels. And I also see them being a little in denial about what that all means until it becomes painfully obvious.

Thanks for sending this ask!! In the funny ways of the world, it got me inspired to write some Nessian I've been working on. It's not THG inspired, but Nessian nonetheless.
