Those of His children who love and trust Him, He never lets lack any good or needed thing; but it is necessary that each be brought to that perfect faith and trust where there is no thought or question that every need is met even before it is felt. What many are going through now is the testing, strengthening and perfecting of His dear ones in such understanding. – Paper No. 42 (The Seven Spirits Before the Throne) by Anonymous (JSB)

living is different to existing

Harry didn’t like trains well, it wasn't necessarily the trains he didn’t like, more the people, or any situation where he was in public for that matter. He tended to avoid crowds, or any human interaction really, even with friends and family members he tended to stay silent but that’s kind of beside the point. He was sat on the train ready to visit his sister when a pretty blue eyed boy sits next to him. Harry doesn’t talk to him but the boy doesn’t seem to mind. He talks freely despite Harry’s lack of reply. H

Some of us think we’re so smart, so we try to figure out a strategy for everything. One of the smartest things that you can do is know when it’s time to let go. You can’t control timing. Don't Gloss Over Truth
Why Some Lack Understanding
How many have said, “I wish I understood the Bible?” A prerequisite to understanding the Word of God is an honest heart that actually desires to know His truth. A reason some lack understanding is they are not considering what is said, much less, taking to it to heart. Basically, it equates to ignoring it. When a person ignores truth, he becomes ignorant to it as well. That ignorance can lead to outright rejection of truth. Truth challenges people to change, and some do not want to change. This is another reason people can’t seem to find time to read their Bible, or listen to the spoken Word. If one finds himself pushing back against the truth, one might ask, “Am I being carnal, (or flesh-driven)?” Romans 8:6-8 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God (NASB). The carnal mind, or flesh, relates to the old nature. Ultimately, it will die in the end. For those in Christ Jesus, it is counted as dead already. By God’s grace, we are able to follow the Spirit, while counting the flesh as dead. The more you place your mind on the things of the Spirit, the easier it will be to grasp the Word of God. Conversely, the more focused you are on the world, the more difficult it becomes. Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
Ignorance is No Excuse
“Ignorance of the law is not excuse” can actually be applied to the Word, especially when goes beyond mere lack of knowledge. People have a misconception that God will not hold people accountable for what they do not know. What does God have to say about it? Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. It is one thing to be ignorant due to the lack of learning; it’s another to be ignorant, because one refuses to learn. In everyday life, most have experienced this to various degrees. Have you ever made a poor choice, because you refused to learn all the facts involved? Perhaps, you knew the consequences, but did something anyway. Depending on specifics, the consequences of ignorance can be quite profound. In some cases, destruction awaits those who are willingly ignorant.
Take His Truth to Heart
Underscoring a previous point, if we gloss over what we read, we miss much of what the Lord desires to reveal to us. This is easy to do if we’re trying to read by volume, or rushing through our devotion, just so we can get done for the day. There is a difference between quality and quantity. Of course, a quantity of quality is an awesome thing. It may prove much more beneficial to meditate on single passage of Scripture than to quickly read a chapter, or book. When we take His Word to heart, we are more apt to dig to find the riches of the meaning found in the words. It is easy to gloss over something we don’t understand, such as a particular word used in a verse. The challenge is to find the meaning of the word in a dictionary. To drill down even deeper, a Strong’s Concordance with a Hebrew/Chaldean/Greek dictionary is rather useful, since it goes into the original languages. What if it still doesn’t make sense after using a dictionary, or Strong’s Concordance? Sometimes, we need to meditate on it, and wait on Holy Spirit for revelation (the revealing of an already existing truth), which requires us to be teachable. The New Man already understands, which is why we get a sense of knowing, even if we may not be able to articulate it in the moment. Our conscious mind simply has to catch up.                                  Be encouraged, God is faithful to reveal His truth. Nonetheless, we do have a part to play. Moreover, there is a proving process taking place, when we don’t immediately grasp the things of God. Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

Time For A Bible Reset
Study to Show Yourself Approved
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of truth (NASB). How many would say, “I take this passage of Scripture to heart, and I have been diligent in my studies; but lately, I haven’t got much out of it?” Perhaps, you fall under the category of a new convert, and find the Bible to be overwhelming, and hard to understand. It can be frustrating, and it may be tempting to place yourself under condemnation, because you feel you’re falling woefully short. Take heart, lack of understanding of God’s word is not deal breaker. It’s question of the heart. There are some who can quote the Bible, but their hearts are no closer to God than the ones who haven’t read their first chapter. Moreover, some of them are quite distant from Him. Think about this: the Pharisees in the days of Jesus’ earthly ministry were of the strictest sect when it came to the Word of God; nonetheless, their hearts were far from Him. The main thing is approaching Scripture with an honest, sincere heart. It is God’s intention for all of us to know His Word, which is one reason Holy Spirit lives in us. He is the Teacher, and leads us in all truth. If you truly desire His truth in the way He intended you to know, He is faithful to get you there. John 16:13 Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself (of His Own initiative); but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall he speak: and He will shew you things to come. Here are few things you might find helpful. To be honest, one part may sound counterintuitive at first, but at least consider it.
Ask, Seek and Knock
Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. A great place to start is here: ask, seek and knock. With these, one might add, believe. Verse 11 tells our Father gives good gifts to them who ask. Remember, God is good, and He wants you to know Him and His Word. The Bible is not a textbook. It is a library of books that is both spiritual, and relational by design. Spiritual things require Holy Spirit, in order for us to grasp them (1 Corinthians 2:9-16). Think relationally when it comes to the scriptures. Not only study to get to know Him, but study with Him.
Step Back and Reset
This may sound counterintuitive, but there may be a time when you study and read less than normal. Some tend to double down when they feel like they’re not gaining anything. That may prove unfruitful for a couple of reasons. One reason is it becomes an exercise of self-effort, where a person relies less on Holy Spirit, and more on his own effort. A second reason is that after studying a great deal, you can come to the point where you feel like you already know what’s being said, before even reading whatever passage of Scripture you’re about to study.  Thus, missing what the Lord wants to reveal to you, because your mind is closed to anything new. It’s not intentional, but it happens.  By stepping back, and resting in Him, you position yourself to see something you haven’t seen before. In fact, when reading the Bible, it pays to read it as if it’s the first time ever. Of course, if you stay focused on certain books, such as the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), or just the New Testament for example, it might be time to dig into the other books. Which leads to one more thing.
Be Systematic
Isaiah 28:9-10 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall He make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. In order to be spiritual, some have adopted the idea of merely opening their Bible, closing their eyes, and then blindly bringing their index finger down on the page, and start reading where ever it lands. If Holy Spirit leads a person to do it that way, by all means he should go for it. Just opening the Bible, and reading wherever it opens does have merit, simply because one is reading God’s Word, and His Word does not return void. However, it may not be very fruitful sometimes. When it comes to daily study or devotional, it may be more useful to start with chapter one, and read as you would a chapter book. One verse at a time, chapter to chapter, book to book. Perhaps, read from Genesis to Malachi, Matthew to Revelation, and then repeat. In course of using this method, you may start finding cross references along the way. Of course, the Lord may lead you to study certain topics.

Labor of Love, or Slave Labor?
Not by Works
Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. This passage of Scripture is Christianity 101 in a nutshell. Right standing with God is predicated on grace and faith; it was never about trying to do good works. Good works are the result of our new nature in Christ Jesus. Sticking to the basics keeps things from becoming too complicated. The opposite is true if one adds things that don’t belong. There is freedom and rest when we keep things in order. Hebrews 4:10 For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.
Works of Faith, and Labor of Love
1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father. What is a work of faith? The short answer is obedience. It is faith in action. It was not some self-contrived, self-righteous work done for brownie points; much less, salvation. That would be dead works. So, how does faith work? Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. First things first, we need to hear from God in order for something to be of faith. Merely doing something while stating, “I’m stepping out on faith,” does not necessarily constitute an act of faith. Why? God did not say. God has to speak to us first, then we obey what we heard. It may be His still quiet voice, an unction, a passage of Scripture that Holy Spirit highlights, prophecy, a word of knowledge or wisdom, and so on. He has a variety of ways in which He speaks to us. The bottom line is whatever it is, it generated from Him. When we obey, it becomes a work of faith. To obey means to listen, and believe what He says, with the intent to fulfill His desire out of love. When we obey, and our work of faith benefits others, it is also a labor of love. In this sense, we co-labor with God, which keeps us in a state of rest, along with the joy of the Lord, which is our strength.
Slave Labor
It is unfortunate that some find themselves in bondage, after being set free. They become rule-followers, and people-pleasers. Why do Christians tack on works, after receiving freedom by faith? It’s kind of a faith plus works mentality. As if grace, and faith in Jesus Christ requires something more. The Bible speaks against adding works, because it removes us from faith. If you want to be worn out for the rest of your life, just be a rule-follower, and a people-pleaser. Galatians 3:1-4 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace (to go deeper, read the books of Romans and Galatians).

Think Long-Term
The Hazards of Short-Term Thinking
While it is important to live in the moment, it is equally important to not live for the moment. The former speaks to being present, which has great merit, especially when interacting with others. In the latter case, those who live like there is no tomorrow, tend to overlook what may lie ahead, while ignoring future consequences of their choices and actions. What a person does, or fails to do today, does affect his or her future. Can you think of anything you suffered as a result of not thinking ahead? Unfortunately, some live as if there are no eternal consequences for their current lifestyle. If they do consider eternity, they procrastinate doing what has eternal value. For instance, some want to “get it out their system,” before they surrender to God. Another example is the believer who ignores his calling, as if he has plenty of time to obey. Many are not taking to heart that their lives have a shelf-life, and they may find an undesired eternity. Others, may lose whatever rewards they might have gained had they obeyed when called. Not to mention, failing to impact lives of those with whom they would have interacted. James 4:13-14 Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. There are too many unknowns to live haphazardly for the moment. The variables are staggering! By the way, impulsiveness is flesh-driven; not Sprit-led.
Hazards of Ignoring the Present
This is not meant to throw the proverbial wet blanket on anyone’s fun. In fact, some miss out on the fun, because they procrastinate leisure time. There are a lot of frustrated people who fail to enjoy the moment. Leisure time never materializes for those who do not properly embrace the moment. Individuals miss so much, because they fail to squeeze out what they can get from life, each day. It’s not that we have to constantly be doing something. It’s okay to sit still and rest. Of course, it’s not a great idea to become a professional couch-potato. How many find themselves stressed out, because they deferred something they should have done earlier, and the eleventh hour arrives with unfinished work before them. Adding insult to injury, they find themselves frustrated because they don’t time for other things as a result. The little snowball just turned into an avalanche. Does anyone relate to that? Because of being overly focused on the end of the world, many Christians disengaged with society, leaving holes where the enemy could get a foothold. How many decided against doing things that might have further impacted the world around them, because they thought they were going to be raptured anytime, and there was no use in doing them? So many opportunities were missed, because they failed to pursue those things. For instance, secularism made great headway on university and college campuses, because Christians weren’t there to stem the tide. “No use getting an education, Jesus will be calling us up any moment.” This completely ignores what Jesus taught us. We are supposed to occupy until He comes. It means living in the moment, while having an eye on the future. One would think if they truly believed Jesus would be here any moment, they would have been motivated to make as many disciples as possible until He does return. If we truly believe the Bible, shouldn’t we all be motivated to be busy about the Father’s business? No pressure!
Think Long-Term
Luke 19:11-13 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come (read verses 14-27, and Acts 1:6-8).

Why do some people have this need to be right about nearly everything? The first answer might be pride. However, there is another reason. And that is the need for assurance. They want to make sure they're on the right track. They don't want to be second-guessing themselves. . . www.perfectfaith.org
