I so wish I could give you closure on whether he achieved his future occupational ambitions - but there were a surprisingly large number of little boys with the last name Tassone in the Republic, PA area in 1937. And I unfortunately have not been able to figure out which one was "Foots".

La Cabra Hipster Catnip IPA at Turks Head Wines in West Chester, PA. A 3 of 4. While the wine is good here, decided to grab this as a second glass. Bright tropical fruit in the nose with some stone fruit and more complexity in the body. The body's a touch lighter than expected, and there's some nice resinous notes that linger in the finish.

Emily's "Use Up My Leftover Mixers" Cocktail:

3 oz of that weird gin that I'm trying to get rid of as fast as possible

2 ish oz of schweppes tonic water

Wanted to use more tonic water but that bottle ran out, so also used another 2 oz of fever tree tonic water

However much is left of that guava juice that i opened forever ago

Some orange juice leftover from when I was sick and I'm not going to drink it on its own but there's so much of it left still

At this point the glass is full, so drink some to make space in the glass for ice. When you taste it, realize there's something missing so just try throwing in whatever you've got lying around. My inspiration was "first things I saw on the top shelf of my fridge"

Like a little vermouth because i forgot what it tasted like so I took a sip and was like, yeah sure whatever

A few splashes of orange bitters because I'm so obsessed with it I've been adding it to every drink i make

Also, I love the use of sarcastic quotation marks on an official PA historical marker.

This guy accidentally started the climate apocalypse and he wasn't even a real "Col."

My boyfriend took me to Foxburg, PA and to Emlenton, PA for my birthday. Emlenton is where he grew up at and it is a beautiful small country city by the river and I absolutely love it there.

This is Emlenton, our favorite place to be away from the city. Our favorite place there to have beers is at The Emlenton Brew Haus. They have really good food and even better beer

Levante Cloudy & Cumbersome Hazy IPA on tap at Magerks in Fort Washington, PA. A 3 of 4. Nice nose of tropical fruit and grapefruit and a slightly creamy body with sticky lacing. Not going to pick it out of a pack, but a really good and solid hazy IPA.
