A MYSTERY AT LILI VILLA is a @tokabox July Book Pick with @_lavanyakarthik_ NINJA NANI🎉Celebrating with @jungletalkies! ・・・ All our book picks this July have a common theme - food! Today we talk about two such #southasian chapter books for #middlereaders 😍 Remember when we would read all those books by Enid Blyton with their fabulous mouth-watering descriptions of food? Scones, plum-cakes, tarts, sandwiches🤩 Well, we are glad to see Indian food make for fabulous reading too, thanks to these incredible new chapter books that we have for you for this month👇🏽 📚Imagine a summer spent in a house in Kerala, with its coconut trees, sprawling front yards, secret rooms, and passages. Read about kids who solve crimes, wake up late, get into fights and make up almost immediately, visit libraries, bicycle along the beach, and of course, eat hot Puttu and spicy brown kadala, black tea, carrot cake, and banana chips in @yalibooks new middle grade book - A Mystery at Lili Villa! 📚And then we have a crime-fighting, back-flipping Nani😍 from @penguinsters latest release - Ninja Nani and the Freaky Food Festival! Fall over laughing when you encounter her favorite chef, Dal Makhani, who judges a food contest! GUESS WHAT'S COOKING IN GADBAD? In book 4 of the #ninjanani series by @_lavanyakarthik_ Children will love the adventures, mysteries, and magic in these books😊 We loved them so much that we decided to pick them both as the Toka Box #chapterbookofthemonth #tokamiddlereaders 😍 **Available for pre-order at the #tokashop @tokabox …. #tokabox #chapterbooks #middlereaders #july #penguinbooks #yalibooks #chapterbookpickofthemonth https://www.instagram.com/p/CRHIvQSJHPq/?utm_medium=tumblr

My Saturday is off to a good start, I modded my Lotus Turbo Esprit loading screen into a title for an article in Revija Joker (the biggest Slovenian gaming magazine). The title says New games for old systems.
This was a nice nostalgic jump to 2000s when this was my college job. Here are some of the best ones (that I’m still semi-proud of).
Article about Doom (Through hell to Doom):
Article about Blizzcon (Elves, the Protoss, railguns):
Article about getting your consoles online (Consoles and the Internet: spider webs in the living room):
Article about lasers (Lenses of horror):
Article about booth babes at E3 (Babes³ … for the lack of a slightly derogatory expression):
Title screen for the magazine’s DVD (called something like The Stuffed), issue 166 that had a Pirates of the Caribbean trailer on it:
Note that those were the days before YouTube and it wasn’t as easy to watch trailers online (especially outside the cities where broadband was not a thing). My job as editor of the DVD was to go to apple.com, download ALL the movie trailers that came out in the previous month (I would spend a weekend watching close to 100 trailers) and then choose a dozen that fit with our gaming audience. And then I would repeat the same thing with game trailers.
Moving on … Article about running Linux on PS3 (Penguinstation):
Article about power consumption (Taxes of electron gnomes):
Article about how 3D models work (Polygon worlds):
Article about XNA framework (Renaissance of garage games):
Article about the history of programing (Programing retrospective):
An article about fighting games (Punchman):
Article about the Ultima series (The ultimate Ultima):
Sometimes I did article illustrations as well as titles. Here’s one from an article about bullet physics that I hid sprites from ZX Spectrum’s High Noon into:
I also made this shitty Guitar Hero GIF for the magazine’s webpage:
And finally, the cover of issue 143. This was the version for the DVD edition where I made all the women naked (subscribers to the CD edition were left deprived of pixel boobies):
This cover is the one single reason I do pixel art today as it coincided with a how-to article about pixel art that I wrote (Pixeling):
Before writing it I researched the pixel art scene, fell in love with eBoy, Army of Trolls, Gas 13 … This was 2005 and I would leave pixel art alone while finishing my degree in Computer Science. In 2012 I returned to make the Tribute poster out of this cover and never looked back.

How to steal a penguin..
To steal a penguin the best time is probably the night time when the park is closed, As there is not a lot of traffic in there. since the penguins are only separated by a fence i do not believe that i have to access the facility. However, getting in the park is a challenge. In order to get access to the park i would probably get a job in the park as security personal or a staff member. so that i have access to the park while it is closed to public. Since i will be security guard i do not have to worry about getting past the security.
In order, to remain undecided i will probably hide my personal and use gloves as my identity is kept hidden. Furthermore, the easiest way to transport the penguin would be through gym bag. which i believe no one would suspect. in order to avoid the suspicion that no penguin is napping has taken place the penguin could be replaced with another penguin or since a lot can not differentiate the difference between penguins. it could be replaced with a dead penguin where everyone would think a penguin has died and nothing serious has occurred.
