Even among all these gods, Poseidon's hatred and arrogance for humans was evident.

Yet the only reason for his interest in this human woman was her incredible will to live.

Never before had he seen a mortal act so frankly, so boldly towards a God.

It caught his attention. The woman was beautiful, more beautiful than a Goddess could ever be. She was daring. It was easy to get lost in his catlike squinting eyes and be caught in the cold but firm aura of the mortal.

"Your daring and indiscretion have limits, mortal. What do you think you are? What do you trust to utter such bold words to a god?"

The woman squinted her eyes, shining with anger. "Why should there be a limit to my audacity? What have you got to set boundaries with me? First you create a lineage and then you send them disasters and hardships. Then when you get bored, 'Let's destroy humanity!' Are you making a joke that isn't funny to yourself? Why should I obey? Why should I be good? Whose wrong is right based on? How can one expect creation to be pure when there is evil in the heart of God?"

A deep silence reigned throughout the arena, while all the immortals who had been mocking her until a few seconds ago, in silence and tension, turned their eyes to the Tyrant of the Seas and then to this noble woman.

He couldn't help but was impressed. Although what he really needed to do was slit her throat with his trident and punish her disrespect, a wild instinct whispered that he shouldn't punish her in this way. Punish in a different way.

The Tyrant of the Seas' lips curved slightly as the tense wait continued. "Will you stand by what you say, mortal? If you kneel right now and apologize and beg, I won't punish you." Although his tone was calm, his gaze made everyone shudder.

"Y/N! Apologize!" As Reynold screamed, Derrick grabbed his arms and pulled him back. As the beautiful woman's eyes turned towards that direction, her eyes narrowed like a cat.

"It's not worth it, Reynold." Derrick's cold words echoed throughout the arena. The woman smiled sarcastically, after all she got used to it. It didn't hurt anymore.

"I'd rather die." Their eyes met. It was like the gaze of the sky and the ocean.

"You asked for it, mortal."

Thus began your life in prison. It was more of a fait accompli than a mistreatment.

Every day you were dressed like a doll and did whatever Poseidon wanted.

You could have dinner with him if he wanted.

If he wanted, you would go to the meeting of the Gods with him.

Everything was his order, if he didn't want it, you couldn't even breathe.

You'd still rather get beaten.

Yet all you gave in regards to your feelings was your hatred of the open ocean.

"Don't make me angry and come here mortal."

"I don't want."

"I didn't ask if you wanted it. Come with me, if you're afraid I'll keep it."

"No way. I won't." Poseidon looked at the beautiful mortal as the woman shrugged stubbornly.

"It's pointless mortal that you hate the ocean so much." He didn't want to ask directly why.

She looked thoughtfully into the water as she shrugged.

"Tell me the reason for this hatred of the ocean, mortal."

"Water plays with you, water imprisons you, water makes you crazy, and the insane cannot live in society. The water overflows."

Poseidon wanted to deny it, but mortal was right. That's how he summed up his thousands of years of life.

"Let's go inside, mortal. Don't be cold."

The Tyrant of the Seas sighs as he walks ashore.

Perhaps he could leave the mortal a little to himself.

penelope might not get along with duke eckhart, reynold and derrick that well. this girl decided to tell them about your plan. it may hurt her pride but penelope knows that she can't stop you alone.

and when derrick, the duke, and reynold heard your plan to leave the house just for some unnamed bastard. they are all angry, they're really angry but not to you but to that bastard who corrupted their sweet and innocent (first name).

and the day finally arrived. you were really happy that you managed to sneak out of your room without derrick, your father, and reynold noticing. but your happiness changed into despair when you got outside.

there, you saw your father and penelope with a bunch of knights behind them. when you saw them, you felt betrayed. you know the reason why your father and your family knights were there. penelope told them about your plan.

you tried to run away from them but the duke ordered the knights to catch you without hurting you. and then when the knights caught you, the duke locked you up in your room.

you shouted and begged them to let you out. you keep on begging them until your throat hurts. but the duke didn't listen. he already lost ivonne and he doesn't want to lose you too.

they're doing all of this for your sake, so why are you so unhappy about this?

and remember your lover? the person who corrupted you? you don't have to worry about him anymore! since your dependable brothers (derrick and reynold) already killed took care of him!

now, they just need you to act like your old self and everything will be back to normal.

"penelope?" You raised a brow, looking at her tightly shut eyes. "Y/n." She spoke, you gently smiled, crossing your legs as you make yourself comfortable under the soft plush of the luxurious sofa. "Is there a problem?" You replied back.

"Seriously?" She gritted her teeth, "my head hurts." She sucked the air up, her messy pink hair framing her face perfectly. As you stared with concern, penelope threw the expensive cape on the opposite seat, and sat her body on the same seat you were sitting on.

"Did that pink hair boy nag you out again?" You scoffed, you looked at her as she rambled about how shitty this whole place is. about derrick, reynold, or what so ever. you caressed her hair, fixing anything strangled. But overall, penelope was just a lonely child.

Being reincarnated here wasnt your choice, you werent even any of the main cast taking part in love project. But at least, lets hope this girl doesnt die. So you took up the courage and laughed, if im not one of the main cast. Why not just be with one of them?

being ridiculed and shamed for just not being the blood related child of the duchy is too much, even for penelope. And they wonder why she acts this way.

Penelope scrunched her brows, feeling a lump stuck in her throath. Recently, the assholes in this place have decided to fed her rotten food. And ofcourse, she threw the table making a huge fit and scolding the maid for doing such things, its just reasonable.

"Penelope." You finally said, with a closed smile. Your hand reached out to hers slowly. "Thank you" you closed your eyes. Penelope tilted her head slightly. "?"

"For trusting me, you know? I believe in you." Penelope raised an eyebrow. All you did was listen to her, but i guess this was a different day. "I know it must be hard, getting accused of something you didnt do just because your brothers dislike you."

"But in the end, they failed to notice how you became this way" penelope snickered. "...became like what?"

"A bitch." You replied back, smilling. As she rolled her eyes, she squeezed your hand tighter.
