Got a #Pelikan Opaque Watercolor Paint Set. I read that these are given out as school supplies in Germany children’s school, so it’s def not artist grade. But it’s like #gouache in pan form. I wanted to draw something on the back of this sheet of paper because I needed a colored side for an origami demonstration, so I ended up doing a thirty minute rendition of the Great Wave off Kanagawa at 4am using fountain pen ink and q-tips. (of course, since I used this sheet of paper in an origami presentation, I no longer have it, so this lighting is about as good as it’s going to get.)

ink colors: iroshizuku ku-jaku (dark blue/turquoise), pelikan edelstein topaz (neutral pure blue), waterman inspired blue (lighter blue-green), nemosine solar storm (orange), montverde midnight black (black)

I used q-tips except for the black lines, which are a platinum brush pen.
