Hey! Silly question because i don't really know how it works but amazon is funky with this sort of thing. Does your payhip let you buy the book for others? Can I buy it and gift it to someone else? Seeing people talk about libraries is making me want to throw out a couple copies but payhip is incredibly unhelpful in figuring it out 🙈

Yep! I actually did a post about this recently but Tumblr seems to have eaten it.

When you go to the checkout, there is the option to give copies of my books as gifts.

On the second image, the "give as a gift" box is checked, which shows additional options, such as entering the recipient's email and the ability to add a personalized message.

When you click on “give as gift” it opens up more boxes, and you insert the recipients email, and a little gift message too.

They can then download the files to their e-reader or audio listening device of choice. It autoloads into Apple Books for me, and als Kindle, but depending on the age of the device they may need to follow the Payhip to Kindle guide to get it to work.

You can also, if you don’t have a recipient in mind, donate copies to my giveaway pile. I’m actually doing a giveaway this month for my birthday so everyone should keep their eyes peeled for that.

(yes, to those who keep asking, I am going to do a giveaway pile for the audiobooks. I just haven’t figured out the bonus reward yet 😅)

So Payhip now allows for collaborations, which is super neat! I've been very interested in co-authoring or otherwise co-creating something with someone (when my plate clears a bit), but I was always hesitant because the technical administrative/financial details felt a little overwhelming to set up. It's cool to see now that Payhip takes care of that for you ^^

Hi Joy I hope this isn't a dumb question- or one you've answered tons of times before that I just can't find because, well, Tumblr- but how does buying through Payhip work? Will I be able to open the file in any ebook program or do I need to download another dedicated app for it. I've never used Payhip before and I just want to make sure I can actually use it before I buy lol

So when you buy through my Payhip, you get a DRM-free ebook version of the book, which should open with most e-readers. It works with Kindle, Google Books, Apple Books, and also programs like Calibre.

If it's capable of opening an ebook, it should work. (Kidle used to use mobi, but they're moving away from that.)

If it doesn't autoload onto your Kindle, Payhip has a guide.
