alright so it’s been WAYYY too long since i posted a fic and decided to go out of order on reqs because i really need to get this shit done

i apologize profusely for the amount of time it’s taken for me to get this shit done , and i hope it meets your standards . thank you for reading and on to the hcs !!

Bain + Teenage Contractor!Reader HCs

Man who’s dumbass decided to hack Crime.net again 💀

That dumbass happened to be you (/lh)

You were in the need for some cash but you had absolutely no experience in heisting and you knew damn well that you’d be snapped like a twig by cops

However, something you did have experience in was hacking

You’ve been on the dark web once or twice, sold some information that had high value, things like that

So when you found out about the PAYDAY gang, you knew that you just had to have them do the job

Bain was scared shitless upon seeing some new mf log into Crime.net as an admin

However, because you didn’t have the fanciest of firewalls, he managed to pinpoint both your location and identity

Bain thought you were just some dumb teen who decided to fuck around and find out

Just as he was about to wipe you off the face of the platform, you sent him an encrypted message

Now the real confusion settles in. How smart is this kid?

The two of you end up negotiating a deal, one that would keep the both of you from getting knee deep into shit with the cops

A heist was arranged where the gang would cook up some meth so that it could be sold on the black market

Seeing how well the gang did the job, you hesitated none in hiring them again

Bain was just as pleased, seeing as you held up on your part of the deal and made sure the PAYDAY crew received a cut of whatever you earned from those meth sales

Of course, you end up finding yourself in a compromised situation

Dark web people are shady, and seeing your activity on said platform, there were certain sharks willing to kill or kidnap you for the goodies

Bain not only sees this as a huge problem because it would harm profit, but also because of how young you were. Though you’ve done some shady deals, you were still a kid.

If you don’t have a family or live in a toxic household, he’ll make an attempt to have you meet up with Twitch or Bile so that the crew could keep you under safe watch

If you do have a family of sorts, he’ll make sure to hire hitmen and other undercover protection for you.

You won’t know it, but there’s always at least one person in your vicinity making sure that you’re unharmed

You end up unintentionally leaving a trail of corpses because of it 💀

Bain also teaches you some tips and tricks on hacking and keeping yourself secure, just to make sure that you don’t get yourself too fucked

Overall, he’s not attached to you, but he definitely isn’t going to let any shady motherfuckers try and get their hands on you.

Nathan 'Dallas' Steele:

He's not one to show his grief. He prefers to keep it to himself, rather than depend on others to help him.

He'll hide away in his room in the Payday Gang safehouse, stay either in his bed or in his chair by his desk.

If something terrible happened, like someone he knows is either arrested or killed, he'll hang his head and cry.

If it's just grief from a hard heist that failed, where they couldn't get the money and had to leave, he'd be in a fit of rage.

He doesn't want to lash out at the others often, it makes him feel worse than he already does.

He might break things, yell at no one in particular, and cry until he feels better and decides it's time to do another heist, hopefully it'll go better than the last..

Nicolas 'Chains':

He's the one who's grief turns to anger and then to shame.

If someone gets arrested or killed, maybe even hospitalized, he'll lash out at the team.

If they didn't make it out with the money and had to flee, he's even more angry that they spent a good majority of their funding on the planning and it all went to waste.

He'll eventually head back to his room to calm down, feeling shameful for yelling and insulting the others. He cries sometimes, even if it's just a little bit.

He waits for the next heist, acting nicer to the others now that he's degraded them for something that wasn't entirely their fault...

Ulf 'Wolf' Andersson:

His grief is one that he shows and wants others to help him with.

Someone is injured, dead or arrested? He cries because he feels like it may have been his fault.

They didn't make it out with the money? He's angry at himself, not at the others.

He takes everything out on himself, often needing another one of the gang members to help him calm down and reassure him that it wasn't his fault.

As he waits for the next heist, he takes time to himself to do little things to keep his mind off the grief and self-deprecating thoughts he's feeling and having.

James 'Hoxton' Hoxworth:

He's another one of the rather angry individuals.

If someone gets injured, arrested or dies, he lashes out. He lashes out at Dallas mostly, because he's the leader and he expected better from Dallas and it breaks out into a huge argument.

If they don't make it out with the money, he's still pissed but not as much as when something bad happens to another gang member. He'll make snarky comments about them not getting the money, but he doesn't yell at anyone.

All in all, he gets angry easily because it reminds him of when he got arrested and it took the others a while to get him back.

He waits for the next heist, not very patiently, and tries to keep his temper in check, to no avail.

Derek 'Houston' Steele:

He's another one that gets fairly angry, and he definitely takes it out on his brother, Dallas.

Someone got hurt, killed or arrested? He yells at Dallas for not being careful enough and helping them.

They didn't get the money and had to flee? He yells more at Dallas because of the funding, planning and lack of gains.

He feels bad afterwards, but he tries not to show it. He hides behind snarky comments and angry outbursts.

When he waits for the next heist, he never lets Dallas live down the fails of any heist they've done.

Adopted!Teen!Reader + the PDG

- Now, Bain did adopt you for tax reasons (I don't know how that works but we roll)

- But that doesn't mean he doesn't care about you or anything, he'll make sure you're alright

- But he's not exactly in the position to look after a kid, considering he's always busy and needs to be as private as possible

- So he usually leaves you at the safehouse, where there's always someone there

- Dallas interacts with you first, as well as some of the younger heisters

- He's always been the one to greet new members of the team, as he is kind of the leader

- So it isn't much different with you, although of course you're much younger than the people he's interacted with recently

- Forgive him if he's a little awkward

- With the younger heisters, at least he could talk about their occupation and skills, but with you? Nothing

- But he's friendly enough, letting you know he's there if you have any problems

- Every heister has a different first opinion of you

- For example, Joy and Sydney are quite nice to you immediantly

- They're closest to you in age, and therefore a bit more relatable

- Sydney will get you to do some pranks or something

- Joy will record it, occasionally helping out

- They're definitely one of the quickest to warm up to you

- If you like art or gaming, they're more than happy to talk about it with you!

- You can all play Mario Kart or something :)

- Joy will beat you guys for sure, but it's okay (you and Sydney will get her back later)

- I think at the start, Sokol would be kind of dismissive of you

- I mean, why do they have to deal with Bain's kid? The safe-house is a place for skilled heisters to plan out their next move, not some daycare

- Or at least, that's how it starts for him

- But when you ask for some pointers on how to shoot, play hockey, or maybe ask for some lessons in Russian, he'll start to warm up

- After that? He treats you like his beloved little sibling :)

- 'If anything happens to them I will kill everyone in this room and then myself' type beat

- May occasionally try to get you into the heisting career at some point. Maybe.

- Once you learn how to shoot and so on, Dallas might help you out too, but he probably won't let you do anything further

- You're still a kid, he doesn't like the idea of putting you in danger

- Although the younger heisters seem to think it as a potentially good idea

- As for the other heisters?

- Wolf would probably not talk to you in general, but the more time you spend in his presence, the more discreetly protective of you he is

- Chains is probably more like a mix of Dallas and Sokol in that he'd like having you train, but is unsure about you starting off a career in heisting

- Hoxton is originally a bit stand-offish for the same reason as Sokol, but eventually matches a bit with Sydney in that he'd encourage you to bring a little chaos in the safe-house

- Houston would be like Wolf; he wouldn't really speak to you or interact since he thinks it's weird for Bain to adopt you in the first place. Will encourage some pranks though-

- John Wick would also be in disagreement with you being adopted by Bain in the first place, but will warm up and help with training (he's definitely quite strict tho beware!!)

- Clover for sure acts as an older sister, teasing you but overall being kind and protective over you (will cheer you on during training)

- Dragan would try not interact with you really..but he might give some tips if you're training/working out. Eventually, like Wolf, he will become secretly protective of you :)

- Jacket would probably not interact very often with you, but eventually, he'll let you listen to his music or play games (kinda like Houston, he will low-key enjoy the pranks too)

- Bonnie would treat you like a little sibling and maybe try to teach you poker to scam the others with false innocence (high-fives if you do so) + if you have (romantic) relationship issues, she will encourage you to end/ruin their lives

- Jiro would definitely judge Bain for adopting you for tax reasons, and for a little bit he might be a quite distant, but as time progress, he sort of views you as a kid to look after too, maybe not like his child, but still a child for him to protect and look after

- Bodhi would for sure try get you into surfing or just sports, the others will pull you away (unless you actually enjoy it then they'll just roll their eyes or something)

- Jimmy is maybe not the greatest role model, but he's actually quite fun around you, just be aware he might pass out in the middle of a conversation with you

- Rust would probably keep his distance from you at first, thinking that it's better not to interact since he's, well, old and a criminal. But after a little while, especially once you start training and so on, he'll warm up to you! You might find yourself a new (o l d) uncle :)

- Sangres for sure will try to teach you some blade skills or Spanish words (a lot of them might be profanity). He's a lot of fun, just not the most responsible-

- Duke might not come up to talk to you much, but he doesn't mind talking to you if you come up to him, especially if it's about history and so on :)

Dallas isn’t too experienced with stuff like this, but he still does his best to help

He immediately assumes you’re non-verbal due to negative stimuli, so he makes sure to offer you anything that might make you feel better

“What do you need? Water? Snacks? A hug?”

If you answer at all in some way he can understand, he’ll fetch it in seconds

If not, he’ll just stay with you and let you do your thing

If you’re crying, he’ll do his best to comfort you. If you’re happy about something, he’ll ask questions about it and let you go on about it as best as you can

He lets you hang out with him in his office while he’s working

Dallas would have a chair pulled up and a cabinet full of fidget toys and gadgets that you can mess around with

He cleaned the toys daily so that when you want to play around with them, they’ll be ready and all spiffied up :D

He also will have you help him with some of his work if you’re up for it

Like the others, he won’t push you to talk if you aren’t ready, and he makes sure you’re feeling safe and comfortable

Chains

Similar to Dallas, he lets you chill out in his workshop, regardless of whether or not you’re happy or not

He’ll keep you preoccupied by letting you tinker his guns a bit if you’re up for it

He’ll let you fidget with some of the parts in case you like one or a few of them

Chains knows a minuscule amount of ASL, but not enough to know how to understand everything

He’ll do his best to decipher it and answer to it though

He also will cuddle with you in case you need it

He’s got a little couch in the corner of his workshop, so it provides a bit privacy for the two of you

Chains will try to get you to be able to talk again, but if his attempts don’t work, he won’t try to push any more

Very similar to Dallas, just a little less experienced with it

Wolf

100% understands your problem, especially since he spends a good chunk of his time around Jacket

Does his best to accommodate to you whenever you go non-verbal

He’ll ask as to why either for future reference or so that he can keep you from the source, but he won’t pry if you choose not to tell

He’s willing to use practically anything to communicate with you

Sign language, non-verbal cards, text-to-speech, you name it

A contrast from his usual heist behavior, he’s very gentle when you go non-verbal. He’ll make extra careful not to cross any boundaries and make sure that you’re comfortable until you’re able to talk again

If you’re non-verbal because of positive stimuli, he’ll try his best to communicate with you about this thing that made you so happy. Of course, he won’t pry you about it.

He’s overall very sweet and makes sure that you’re okay while you’re in this state

Now, if someone were to make fun of you or try to pull anything weird while you’re non-verbal, he’s already got the drill ready

Y — ‘Wolf, why do you have a thermal drill?’

W — “Don’t worry, I’m just going to be shoving this down someone’s throat.”

Y [panicked] — ‘WHY???’

Legit either sends you into a panic attack or has to make sure that you don’t thermal drill someone’s face off

Either way, you manage to stop him from doing it and he simply just leaves it alone, and he bombards you with a fuck ton of care

If he comes across the person in question, especially in your non-verbal state, he’ll fucking destroy them

Yes, this includes Hoxton

Overall very protective and supportive <3

Hoxton

Literally has no fucking clue what’s going on at first

“You gonna answer me or what?”

He’ll get the memo if you use cards or write it down, but will have no clue what’s going on if you use ASL or gestures

Ends up having to ask Wolf since he’s seen him use these signs a couple of times

Finally fuckin learns about ASL and figures out why the hell you’re not talking

With this knowledge, he becomes very fuckin protective

If anyone makes you even a little bit uncomfortable, he will not hesitate to throw hands

“The fuck did you just say you wanker!? YOU WANNA FUCKIN’ GO MATE!?”

Ends up throwing you into more stress unintentionally

He’ll try to figure out ways to get you to talk again, whether it be exposing you to stuff that disgusts you or running you through some calming exercises

“Hey hey, just breathe with me, okay? One….Two….”

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t

He still won’t ever fully understand why you end up non-verbal and still won’t understand even after an explanation is given

That doesn’t mean he’s not there for you, of course. He’ll do everything he can within his lack of understanding to help you out

Houston

Like Hoxton, he has no clue what’s going on

However, when you tell him, he’ll understand and ask if there’s anything he can do to help

Mf will literally spend hours trying to learn how to sign so that he can understand you or so that he can make sure he doesn’t overwhelm you with talking

H - *signing*

Y - ‘honey, that means egg’

H - “Dammit”

Hoxton sometimes acts ‘nice’ and teaching Houston some signs

But he’s teaches him the wrong shit

Like- Houston’ll be trying to learn how to say “What’s the weather?” but Hoxton would teach him how to say “cock and nuts” instead

You end up having to reteach him lol

ASL aside, if you use non-verbal cards or other means of communication, it’ll click easier for you

He makes sure to keep a notepad and pen on him, so when you need to talk to him, he just pulls it out and hands it to you

Can’t tell whether or not you’re non-verbal because of positive or negative stimuli, so if he thinks that the thing you don’t like is bringing you joy or something, forgive and correct him

Hoxton will often make rude remarks regarding it, resulting in a beat-up Hoxton and you now laughing your ass off

Mf’s antics were so funny that you went verbal again

Like the rest, very protective, just less understanding

Sokol

Another fucking Jacket???

You were speaking just fine and suddenly you don’t wanna talk??? Wtf??

He thinks you’re doing this on purpose, so he ends up getting quite frustrated

“Пиздец, just talk to me already! Why are you being so… difficult!?”

Literally will send you further into a non-verbal state and you’ll end up just crying on the spot

It’s not pretty

The second he sees tears glossing over your eyes, he fucking PANICS

He doesn’t know how to apologize though?? Not when he’s this frustrated with it

Eventually the two of you just spend a bit of time trying to process things

When the two of you reconvene, you end up explaining to him what’s going on with the whole situation

“Ah… n-non… verbal…? So- you’re not doing it on purpose?”

Once it finally clicks, he does his best to try and find ways to communicate with you

Notepads, flash cards, even those silly little buttons that people use to train their dogs how to communicate /ref

He made one attempt to learn ASL, but he immediately gave up because of how frustrating it was

Sokol felt the need to learn how to sign when he really just could’ve learned how to understand it 💀

That aside, he does his best to make sure you’re okay while you can’t communicate

Literally will fetch you anything and is willing to take a look at whatever it is that’s bothering you/making you so happy

It’s a struggle, but he’s doing his best <3

Jimmy

Despite spending a good chunk of his time around Jacket, he still struggles a bit to understand the whole non-verbal thing

Then again, he’s constantly shitfaced on coke so-

He’ll often keep pestering you on why you’re not talking or anything, only stopping when someone else intervenes

If you use ASL or gestures to communicate, he’ll start getting frustrated since he doesn’t understand most of it

With non-verbal cards or soundboards, he can understand a bit better

When you get sent into this state because of negative stimuli, he’ll try his best to calm you down

Most likely by offering you coke. And it works…sorta

J - “Shit uh… you want some coke-?”

Y - *wheezes*

J - “Wh-what!? Was it something I said!?”

If you’re non-verbal bc of positive stimuli, he’ll just talk about or show you stuff about the thing making you so happy

Literally making it worse 💀

At some point he’ll just end up getting tired [not of you! just by the fact that he’s been hammering that alcohol n drugs] and invite you to cuddle

Once the two of you pile up on the couch, you both kinda just calm down while cuddling

He falls asleep, you return to a verbal state again

Jimmy wakes up to a nice surprise when he sees that you’re talking again

He kinda just offers to cuddle every time you go non-verbal

It’s not the best strategy, but it sure as hell works

Sydney

Similar to Wolf, she completely understands and does her best to accommodate whenever you’re non-verbal

Can understand a good portion of ASL, but not that much

She doesn’t sign for you, but she’ll get a basic understanding if you sign

Simple gestures might raise some confusion though, but after one or two tries, she usually understands what you’re asking for

Very protective of you, regardless of whether or not you’re mute because of something positive or negative

Will literally kick ass if anyone makes fun of you or nags you to talk sokol cOUGH COUGH

“OI! They’ll talk when they wanna talk so SHUT IT YOU FUCK!”

She’ll let you sit in her silly swivel chair and draw whatever comes to mind. She has a bunch of crayons and paper stashed away specifically for you!

Sydney always hangs up the little drawings you make on her cork board because she thinks it’s cute

She also has noise-canceling headphones in case you’re overwhelmed by something

She’ll give them to you, sit down on the couch or at her desk with you in her lap, and let you chill out there

Always makes sure you’re comfortable and won’t push you to talk until you’re ready

Jacket

You don’t even have to try and explain those non-verbal moments. He kinda just knows

He’ll offer up some methods of communication if you don’t have a specific one, the most prominent ones being a tape recorder or a notepad and pen

Mf will literally buy you your own tape recorder not only for helping with communication, but also because matching tape recorders??? Please?????

The both of you use the exact same tapes, sometimes even trading tapes when you want to express something else

Sometimes the two of you will just annoy Sokol with it

Spamming tape recorder lines before Sokol has to swat the both of you away using his hockey stick

Though, for heists, the two of you make sure to use tapes with different voices to make sure other heisters can differentiate you

Though, sometimes you mix each others’ tapes up lol

Knows ASL very well, and also has some non-verbal cards in case you prefer to use those

He makes sure that you’re okay while you’re in this state, and he’ll murder literally anyone who even makes you uncomfortable in the slightest

If you find the corpse of some guy who told you to ‘speak up’ with his brains bashed in, don’t question it

Very understanding of whatever the situation is, and is very protective while you’re non-verbal

Okay, so starting off with general headcanons before we get to the fluff, angst and smut!

I feel like Wolf is definitely one of the more emotional guys out of the gang.

He gets angry, nervous, sad and happy really easily.

He misses his old life but he feels bad at the thought of leaving everyone else behind/stopping contact with the others.

He prefers being around Dallas and Chains, they've been his buddies for a long long while.

He feels bad, leaving his wife and kids behind in the past, the guilt eats away at him a lot.

He just needs a lot of reassurance and comfort, despite not letting people in at first.

He does go from one mood to another super quickly, so he's difficult to handle.

Jimmy and his s/o during + after work

- Jimmy is quite a character, both in and out of heists, although surprisingly enough I think he'd be more relaxed out of heists

- During work, he's got the adrenaline rush of doing a heist, as well as whatever drug he's got in his system (almost always cocaine)

- So he's usually much more antsy and loud

- When he's with you during a heist, he'll take the time during a pause to try hold you tight or kiss you firmly

- Once they're in the clear and the fight is won, he will for sure celebrate by picking you up (it doesn't matter if you're bigger than him, he'll still try) and kissing you again

- He might bonk you on the nose or head though, be aware

- After heists? He's actually more chill, somewhat tired after everything

- He'll probably be holding you close as you tend to his wounds or something like that

- Maybe he'll even fall pass out/fall asleep, but he'll remember to press lazy, somewhat wet, kisses to your face, losing consciousness with affectionate words

- "Thanks love.. what'd I do without you..?"

- Only then will he pass out with a blissful smile, feeling like he's the luckiest man in the world

I present you all a very headcannon-y Hoxton redesign!

I personally headcannon his last name as Boudreau for no other reason than I like the way it sounds and I think it fits him. (I also don't think Hoxworth is his actual last name and was just an alias but that's a different story).

I decided to give him more burn damage to his face and have it extend further down onto his neck and upper torso. I also decided to make the damage more extreme with him losing sight in his eye and having burned back part of his lip to expose his teeth.

As result of the more extreme damage, he grew out his hair more and uses his bangs to hide it whenever he isn't wearing his mask. He only ties back his hair for heists to keep it out of the way.

I also imagine he would be thinner due to his time in prison and therefore much colder (both physically and emotionally). To compensate he wears a thicker coat and a scarf from Sheffield United Football Club (since that would likely be his hometown team).

And no, its not just a phase, this is who he is.

I've been thinking about making a full ref of my take on him, but idk yet we will see.
